I'm not a vegetarian, but I ate here with my daughter and it was amazing. The food was so fresh and the flavors big and wonderful. I had the pumpkin curry, my daughter the cashew lunch special. I'm glad to live in Albuquerque because I can't wait to return.

The menu confuses me. Why do you have veggie burgers, French fries, and soy meat wraps in a Thai-Chinese-Japanese place? My partner's analogy is that it's like going to a Chinese restaurant and ordering spaghetti (he was not dining with us, btw; his comment was under a different circumstance). Well, the weird menu notwithstanding, the food is just fine. The pra ram "chicken" and spinach is plentiful, and I like that the brown rice comes in the shape of a heart. My friend got a mild curry and enjoyed it. The lunch dishes also come with a small side salad (American-style). The problem with this place is the service. It's very slow and isn't just a one-time thing. It was slow the last time my friend dined here and it was slow again when we dined last week. At lunch time, which is probably the second busiest hour of the day, there is only one waitress. My friend joked that she might even be our cook as well. Therefore, even the small requests, like more water, take time. So, don't come here if you're in a hurry.

I remember walking in the door to a nearly empty room the first time I visited for lunch. After questioning whether I should take a hint from the lack of patrons, I decided I had to try it considering the vegan options in Albuquerque are limited. I'm so glad I stayed because thai vegan became a weekly wonder for me! I have had almost all of their combinations and salads and I've yet to be disappointed. The combinations have two meals worth of food and the spicy chicken salad does too. As a college student it is only sensible for me to eat out at a place that I can get two meals out of. You must come try their pungent, spicy vegan plates of wonderment!

Might have been the best tom yum soup I've ever had. Everything there looked and smelled amazing. My friend got a noodle dish with vegan beef and that was great too. I can't wait to go back!

Microwaved Thai food....thats what it seems like. Its so hot you cannot eat it. Portions small if you get the dinner meal but then you also get two spring rolls.

As an enthusiastic and unrepentant omnivore, I tend to think of vegan as an impoverished cuisine. After four meals at Thai Vegan, however, I can say that this restaurant offers food that is rich in flavor and abundant in quantity. The beautiful red and gold décor of Thai Vegan suggests luxury, and the staff is gracious and welcoming. The staple protein at Thai Vegan is soy, served as tofu or in various guises as faux chicken, chicken nuggets, pepper steak, fish, or shrimp. The soy chicken that I order doesn't taste like chicken, but I prefer its firm, meaty texture over that of soft, slick tofu. I have ordered my soy choice in four different preparations listed on the menu as: Cashew Nuts, Spicy Eggplant, Pad Thai, and Yellow Curry. All of those dishes were delicious with bold flavors that were, at the same time, not over-spiced. Lunch and dinner meals include deep-fried spring rolls (served nice and crunchy with a dipping sauce), brown rice (a generous amount molded into the shape of a heart), and salad. (Note: Pad Thai is not served with rice.) Next time I'll try P.E.T., a concoction of pumpkin, eggplant, and tofu stir-fried in garlic sauce with bell pepper, basil and chili. These satisfying meals cost only $8.95 at lunch and $9.95 at dinner, making Thai Vegan one of Albuquerque's greatest bargains. The portions are large enough that I am always too full for dessert, though Banana Spring Rolls and Green Tea Ice Cream (among other desserts) are tempting. I once shared an appetizer order of Veggie Dumplings (served with a deliciously dressed salad of baby greens) that was very good. Dining at Thai Vegan is a wonderfully sensuous experience. The only occasionally discordant note comes from the haphazard ambient music, sometimes soothing and vaguely Asian and sometimes low-grade occidental pop. There are also three televisions with the sound turned off and mounted so high so that you might not even notice them, but they are as out-of-place here as a cheeseburger. Everything else about the restaurant is calming and serene. I recommend Thai Vegan highly.

I've never seen a Vegan Thai place but it's a first time as any. This place is amazingly really good. Honestly, if it weren't for Yelp, we probably would have never stopped in to eat. Cheers to Yelp and Yelpers! I ordered the Red Curry and bf ordered the Green Curry. Both were delicious! Tip: Be near a restroom. That amount of fiber intake will get you really quick. I'm not joking!

This place is a great vegan option! One thing I really loved about it is the size of their menu. They have a lot of options, and they are all vegan. I had the pad Thai with the soy chicken. However, you also have the options of soy steak, and soy shrimp. And of course I am sure you have the option of no soy meat for those who don't care for fake meat. I personally got the lunch combo which also came with a salad and two spring rolls. My fiancé wanted to order an appetiser. He chose the fried soy chicken. The appetiser came with a really nice tasting sweet sauce. They also appear to have a good beverage selection. Even though I only got water this time, I noticed some different teas that sounded nice. Additionally, the portions are generous. I had plenty leftover to take back with us and eat later.

They have great food. I am not vegan, I eat there because the food is delicious and healthy. Pat, the owner, has a rich history of preparing top-end vegan meals. I have never been disappointed. I typically order noodle dishes such as Pad Thai or Spicy Noodles. When dining with a companion I always order the Basil Leaves with soy chicken as an additional dish to split. The food is colorful, well prepared, healthy and just right. I have introduced a good 20 folks or so to the Thai Vegan by choosing it as a location to have business lunches. 100% of the time my guests are skeptical but don't want to show it, nervous about eating "fake" chicken or beef, but won't say it and order tofu as their protein. I order the basil leaves as a way to obligate them to try the soy chicken and perfectly prepared vegetables and spice. Every time I do this my guests leave as a convert to Thai Vegan. I often see them there with their families when I am dining at night.

I ordered food to go from here while I stayed in Albuquerque during my cross country drive. I was so happy to find a vegan Thai restaurant somewhat close to my hotel. I ordered a few dishes and the peanut sauce and fried tofu were fantastic. I also ordered the pad Thai and probably told them 3-4 times no onion. I got to my hotel and sure enough it was infested with onions. I had to throw it out which is a shame because I was starving and it was not cheap. I don't know what went wrong.

Eating Asian food can be scary when you're with someone who has a nut allergy. The people at Thai Vegan are always very accommodating, and we've never had an issue with allergies, so we've been many times. The food is excellent, even for those who eat meat. The menu is extensive, so pretty much everyone can find something they'll enjoy.

I have never had vegan food but I was impressed. Big flavors are developed in each meal. The "chicken" was surprisingly good and the flavor of the pad Thai sauce is one of the best. It is a little on the spendy side for asian food but well worth it.

I had 20 minutes to eat and suspected they could do it and I'm happy to say they could. Cute interior, with Asian decor and high ceilings. I was facing the TV placed in the center of the north wall and was glad it wasn't broadcasting soap operas but instead calm and serene images from Thailand. I could do without the TV altogether, but whatever. I had the red curry, medium hot, with tofu. It was really good. It's hard to mess up red curry, with the biggest mistake it not being hot enough. This dish was loaded with bamboo, peppers, tofu, Thai basil, etc., and it was served with a heart-shaped molding of short grain brown rice. You get to choose your type of soy (tofu, fake chicken, fake beef, etc., maybe seitan which isn't soy). I wolfed down the meal and was out of there with fast, expedient, friendly-enough service. I'm looking forward to going back for a more leisurely meal. Perhaps they will earn five stars next time.

I generally live as a vegetarian, but- confession time- I love fish sauce. I'm used to splashing a little over my noodles or fried rice to get that tasty hint of umami that only fermented little sea creatures provide. Thai Vegan's food was so balanced that I didn't really miss it at all. I went in for lunch, and only had a few minutes before work. My food came out super quickly- that's the mark of a good lunch special right there! The red curry was tasty enough to slurp right out of the spoon, and while the salad dressing was good, I don't think it was the best match for the curry. Maybe they have other options available; either way, the psuedo-Italian dressing would probably be great if it was coating a salad accompanying one of their many wraps. The meal was quite filling, although the tofu was in very small pieces and was a bit scanty. I would return to try out one of their non-Thai vegan meals, but as far as Thai food is concerned, there are so many options in this stretch of Central that I wouldn't say it has any real pull.

My mouth sings with joy whenever I eat here. This food is made with L O V E - you can taste it. I am not a vegetarian - I just go here because it is top quality and delicious.

Absolutely Incredible! I am a Vegan, and for my b-day, five NON-Vegan skeptics took me out here. They all thought they would go get a burger next door after, but they all loved it too!

I so wanted to like the food at Thai Vegan. They're two blocks from my house. I would say that this is probably a good place for Vegans. But it is not great food that happens to be Vegan. I tried the pad thai and chinese broccoli. Couldn't finish it. Both were way too sweet and I have a sweet tooth. Seemed like the sugar was compensating for other seasonings that couldn't be in there?

Every now and then you just need a delicious Thai meal. The curry here is perfect. Very tasty; sweet and spicy. The soy chicken is delicious! I am always misled that I'm going to feel sick after eating such combination of spices but I always leave this place feeling wonderful and looking forward to the next time I am craving exotic food.

Perhaps if I were a vegan, I'd be more enthusiastic about Thai Vegan. While I enjoyed my meal, I wasn't blown away. The good: The service was quick, unobtrusive, and friendly. We went for dinner on a Saturday and while the restaurant was nearly full, the servers were very attentive. The interior is very clean and nice looking, although it gets a little over-the-top behind the bar, which seems to be the designated repository for unevenly hung Fiestaware and silk flower arrangements. The $9.99 dinner combo is a good deal with a side salad, entree, rice, and two tiny fried spring rolls included. While my "medium spicy" soy chicken green curry wasn't very hot, it was creamy and stuffed with bell pepper slices. The--well--not bad but just meh: At least 3 large flat-screens in the dining area--distracting incongruous with the quiet atmosphere. Well, I'm a tv-hater when it comes to restaurants in general. Oh well. Thai Vegan's greatest weakness is a monotonous dependence on soy--the soy chicken tastes fine (though not as firm as chicken chicken, and presented in little shingles instead of slices) but soy soy soy gets boring. And the soy stuff doesn't make up for the disappointing lack of fresh veggies. The Freshy rolls taste alright, but their filling is dominated by shredded lettuce rather than mint; the side salad includes cucumber and tomato slices, but is otherwise entirely romaine. What's vegan food without vegetable variety? Answer: not great. I really wish Thai Vegan would make fresh, robust, seasonal veggies the star of the menu, instead of offering soy meats and uninspiring produce. The seasoning could use a boost too: without fish sauce, the flavors are not as bold; the curry is disconcertingly mild; and there's a serious underuse of herbs. Cast aside the crutch of soy and bring on the keffir lime, the lemongrass, the basil, and the galangal please!

Came as an out of town guest....been vegan for quite some time....been a Thai lover for even longer....quite impressive on both accounts. Tom Ka Gai soup is a 10.

New manager is incredibly horrible, thought the owner would have had a better pick, food is not the same, my friend had a takeout and they forgot the pineapple, when she went back the manager told her he was not going to make it right, but she could order again. Ridiculous.!!! My view is if you want good vegan food and Great service, go to the Thai Vegan on Osuna, much better service makes you feel welcome. Never go to the one on central.

I adore this restaurant. The people are friendly, the food is to die for, the ambiance is relaxed, and the price is right. I have tried several of the dishes, and the yellow curry is my absolute favorite. That is the one food in Albuquerque that I crave more than any other! I recommend the combo meals. The salads are fresh (try the dressing!), the spring rolls are perfectly done and come with delicious sauce, and the entrees are a good size. I almost always end up taking half home for another meal. I am a vegetarian and prefer to eat regular tofu than fake-meat tofu, but I've tried it all at Thai Vegan, and I love it. Their tofu is perfectly done, which is something many restaurants have yet to master. My meat-eating friends also like to come here, and everyone is happy with their food. If you haven't tried Thai Vegan yet, I highly recommend you do!

I just tried out the new location. I think it's even prettier than the original spot. The food is just as delicious and the staff as sweet and helpful. This time, we ordered wonton soup and orange chicken. It was perfect and such big portions that we took it home and made it a whole new meal. It seemed the restaurant was about half full. Our service was prompt and perfect. My only complaint was that the big screen tvs were all tuned to football which seemed a little incongruous given the usual peaceful images at the original location BUT it was superbowl sunday so MAYBE that had something to do with it?! I love this place and I'll try to go here as much as I go to the original location.

I have eaten at and reviewed the Thai Vegan on San Mateo. Either my memory is poor, or my taste in Thai food has matured, because I love the Thai Vegan. The Pad Thai here is phenomenal. You can adjust the spice to your level, but you have to ask them to make it spicy. The soy chicken is astoundingly tasty. Highly recommended.

This place really blew me away. I might have expected less, but I was surprised at how delicious the food was. Since I'm not from New Mexico, I was taking a chance in an unfamiliar place and was surprised at how much it reminded me of a Chicago restaurant named, Urban Vegan and parred nicely to its standards. I tried the orange chicken and spring rolls, and oh yes please!! The portions were plenty and you do not walk away hungry. I was with my friend who was NOT vegan, but nice enough to try out an all vegan restaurant and she couldn't tell the difference between the fake chicken and real chicken. To top off the chicken switcheroo the flavors were very tasty. I'm a fan and hope to see this place around for my next visit!!

This is the sort of place that you first hear about and think is going to be healthy. Wrong. The menu is filled with examples of the sort of overly processed faux meat soy products that are likely worse for you than the real thing (actual meat, poultry). The tofu option and the few lentil dishes are among the few actual vegan options that are available on the menu. Nutritional concerns aside, this place is FAST. Was served an order of two lunch dishes and two appetizers in less than 10 minutes. You'd think that it a was a good thing, but it only proves that this place is reheating frozen, manufactured food service products at 1000% markup. I go out to eat freshly prepped food, not eat the content of a supermarket frozen food aisle with better ambiance. The green curry dumplings were floury and mushy, clear evidence of both a premade, frozen product that'd been thrown into a microwave. Same story for the egg rolls that were served with the lunch dish - clearly a frozen product. Even the entree was both extremely and unevenly hot, clear evidence of microwaving. The price for this privilege? $30 for two people, which is neither cheap nor reasonable for microwaved mush. If Albuquerque is to have its "must eat" vegan place, this is not it by a long shot. You'd do better at one of the better Vietnamese places in town which serve both freshly prepared food and don't feel the need to rob you for it.

Ok, first I need to preface this by saying that veganism and vegitarianism are the bane of human existance and the root of all evil in our society. I assure you that I'm not blowing this out of proportion. That said, I'd heard good things and seen positive reviews for Thai Vegan, so in a moment of weakness and hunger, I dropped by this location. Now despite my rant, I went in here thinking that this could turn out ok, since thai food is really more focused on the spices than on the meat. Turns out I was right. I tried a tofu noodle dish and was pleased to find that the lack of meat didn't hinder the meal. The noodles were spicy and had good flavor. The lunch special came with two spring rolls, a salad, and the entree. The dipping sauce for the spring rolls was tasty and the salad dressing was actually very good. The place has a very mellow vibe, almost to the point of being spa-ish (think tv's playing pictures of running water accompanied by mellow music, low lighting, waterwalls, etc). Anyway, they've done a good job improving the ambiance of the location from the previous Filipino restaurant that occupied this space. The service was great and the people working there were very friendly. All in all, not a bad meal, though admittedly, I did wish my noodles came with some chicken! I'd come back again, but a non-vegan thai place would be my first choice...

Very fresh and yummy food. We ordered the orange soy chicken, cucumber salad, side of fries, and miso soup. All for under $40. Such huge portions and sooooo good!!! The place itself is beautiful and peaceful. Service was prompt and lovely. Always a yum and heathy choice! Will return. :)

Delicious! I'm vegan and it's hard to find a restaurant where we can all eat! We ordered to go and are at home. We ordered pad thai, pineapple fried rice, yellow curry and mango sticky rice. Everything was so good and my kids loved it. Hee hee, They didn't even know it was vegan, until we told them and after they said, "it's vegan! Mom's food! Oh well, it was good!" Lol! Score! Will definitely eat here again!

This came up as a vegan friendly place while I was in ABQ. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with the soy chicken, it was delicious. The staff was very nice and overall great service.

Decent vegetarian thai food. I really like their fried tofu appetizer. The egg rolls are decent but not mind blowing. The panang curry is runny and underflavored. Their rice noodle dishes are terrible though. Mushy noodles that don't taste fresh. The Lard nar had way too much runny sweet sauce and just drowned out the noodles. In LA or the bay area, you can get fresh rice noodles, perfectly pan fried with that crunchy edge to it so when you pour that sauce on top it's absolute heaven. This place needs to do that. Get a wok. Get a new stove with crazy BTUs. Do whatever you need to do because the noodles need work. I would come back here for the other dishes but I love rice noodles and this place just doesn't meet my expectations.

This place is just not worth the praise it gets. We came in for the first time on a Sunday night on the later side of the dinner hour but no where near close. We were told we could sit anywhere (and later noted that some other customers were seated and were personally handed menus). We waited 10 minutes before one of the three waitresses came to ask us if we had seen menus yet. We had to wait about 10 more minutes between getting drinks and ordering (enough time for us to wonder if we should just walk out). Our appetizer was the chicken satay and while tasty, it was lukewarm. Another long wait before being served mediocre entrees of varying temperatures. Getting the check was another affair after we told two waitresses that we did not plan on ordering anything else. All said and done, dinner took a surprising hour and a half, punctuated by more wait time than eating time. This is the more expensive vegan faire in town and for the price, slowness of service, the smaller portion size and the mediocrity of the food, it's definitely a pass. Not worth the hype.

Thai food? Yum! Vegan food? Yum! Thai Vegan? YUM! A friend who is a recent transplant suggested this place, and it was a great stop on our trip. I love being able to walk into a place and order anything that was on the menu. We got a HUGE bowl of Tom Yum Kha with tofu and faux chicken, and let me be honest; I should have probably ordered like 10 more to go. I wish I could eat nothing but that for the rest of my life. Ten stars for the soup. We all got the "meal combos." I have to say, the one I got was meh. The spring roll was ok, and the salad? Really freaking weird. The dressing was so at odds with all of the other flavors. My meal by itself? 3 stars. However, everyone else had amazing things (try the peanut sauce! I regret not getting that), and the rice was tasty and in a cute little heart. Service was great; really on top of keeping our waters filled, which was good, since I was feeling dehydrated. Great place; just avoid the salad and stick with an entree instead. And soup. Go for the soup for the love of everything!

I am never disappointed with Thai Vegan. I usually dine at the Osuna location but I tried the Nob Hill location tonight. The Nob Hill location offers more privacy. The food and service was consistent. I recommend the Tom Ka Kai soup with soy chicken. I have never made it to dessert because the portions are plenty, which is a good thing! This place makes me a happy vegetarian!

I'm very excited to have found an awesome place for good tasting hardy Thai meal. Had the soy chicken with basil and shared on some orange chicken. Both tasted great. The vibe was definitely more Thai than vegan. And I have to admit, I didn't go for a long time because I wasn't really in the mood for "vegan food." But I didn't even feel like I was in a "vegan" restaurant. I think for people who love meat, the soy chicken well, it tastes like chicken. And for all you vegan meat haters out there, the soy chicken well, it tastes like tofu. It really goes both ways because the dish itself is really well made and it all just tastes like damn good Thai regardless.

I'd never go to a Vegan restaurant on my own impulse, but my wife wanted to give it a try, so said what the heck. Glad I did. I love Thai food, love curries and have been a big fan of Thai Cuisine II right up the street. Thai Vegan can be added to the list because I highly enjoyed my food and would have no qualms about coming here despite the lack of meat. As I usually do, I ordered a curry that was advertised as having shrimp, or shrimp flavored tofu really, and I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a delicious smelling and looking dish fully of veggie-laden curry with what appeared to be shrimp scattered throughout. I of course had to try the so-called shrimp to see if they had any resemblance to shrimp and discovered that they did indeed quite resemble the sea creature. They had a similar texture and a faintly similar taste, but had sopped up much of the delicious curry and thus were just tasty. The curry was the real star of the show though. It was creamy, spicy, and chockful of flavor. When curries are this good, I sometimes wish I could just order the sauce as a drink and chug it down. No lie. The bottom line is this food is damn good and as they say in Spanish, the meat "No hacia falta." You'll hardly notice its absence as you gobble down your food. Also, the service was good, quick and pleasant and the ambiance was relaxed and the restaurant tastefully decorated.

Ummm...all I can say is YUM! Someone told me that the brown rice at Thai vegan was delicious and I rolled my eyes at them thinking, "brown rice cannot be that great...it's friggin' brown rice!" Well, lo and behold I was wrong! My husband had the pad thai with soy chicken and I had the green curry with tofu. We had the combo plates which came with salads and egg rolls (I opted for a fresh spring roll instead). We had a cucumber salad also which was delish. The Thai Iced Tea with soy milk instead of condensed milk was tasty as well. Everything came out hot and fresh. The only thing I'll mention is that everything had a sweet note in the background that my palate picked up; but it didn't bother me. The service was friendly and fast. I'll definitely be going back!

The food was good. They tasted fantastic. Bit we will never come back. The service is so bad. I would literally just go. They acted so mean. It could be they weren't happy that some Asians head in for dinner. One of them was mean before but after she was nice again. But then she acted like we didn't know anything of course we don't because it was our first time there! Definitely never ever come back there again for some bad services.

My first visit to this place was with reluctance; I was a rabid meat fan and quite wary of the "soy chicken" and "soy pepper steak". The flavors were robust and the veggies plentiful (surprise, surprise), but I wasn't sold. I figured I'd be back, but this was a 4 star review. Since then I've got vegan and I've become a Thai Vegan regular. The flavors and veggies are still plentiful, and I've discovered that the "soy pepper steak" and "soy shrimp" leave you wondering: "can this really be vegan?". This place has made going Whether you want Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, spicy fried rice or a wrap, Thai Vegan is awesome for vegans and omnivores alike!

I've gone several more times to the Nob Hill Thai Vegan, and they definitely deserve a bump from 3 up to 4 stars for me. The service has remained consistently friendly, and has gotten more precise the longer the restaurant has been open. And the food is great. I still find the field greens salads on the combo meals to be a strange choice, but I always go for a la carte these days anyway. On top of it all, as a vegetarian friend kept saying the other night when I took her there for her first time: "I can order anything on the menu...anything!" Which is a rare treat for vegetarians and a near impossibility for vegans. I've loved the green curry, ginger chicken, pad thai, cucumber salad, and more. The only serious miss that I've had off of the menu were the red chile dumplings: really, just don't. From an objective, "how is this dish intended to be" standpoint: They are a disaster. This place really is a pleasure.

This place was simply awesome! I've eaten at many vegan restaurants in L.A., San Francisco, NYC, etc., and this food taste better than 99% of those cities' offerings.

So peaceful, very attentive service, fabulous food. I am veg but my carnivorous sister loved it too. Yellow curry was so so flavorful. Green curry dumplings fabulous. Orange "chicken" amazing- crunchy AND chewy and delicious. The teas are amazing- Thai iced tea was great, and the hot teas too. Very special place.

I had been to the other location last year and remembered that I wanted to eat Thai food again on my 2nd ABQ visit. Tried the green curry lunch special today ($9- salad, rice + entree, 2 spring rolls). The salad was mediocre as I'm not a big fan of regular salads, but the spring rolls and the curry were delicious. I overheard other customers raving about the papaya salad so maybe I'll get that next time. Service was very attentive. The soy chicken tasted good, but did not taste like chicken...texture reminded me more of fish cake. Anyhow, I like both meat and veggies, so I didn't care either way that it didn't taste like real chicken. If I lived in ABQ, I'd eat here more often as I'm trying to cut down on the amount of meat I eat for both health and environmental/animal reasons.

All we wanted was an amazing vegan meal and Thai Vegan knocked it out of the park! I've never had pad thai that good. We also had some sort of pumpkin vegetable medley that we both enjoyed. The meal came with rice, but we actually stopped eating it because we wanted to save room for the other dishes! Everyone says to order the freshi summer rolls and while they were good, I probably would skip them in favor of getting more noodles. The tea here was good, too. Mind the creepy relaxation videos playing on the TV and just eat!

I am very skeptical about Thai food in this part of the country, but I am a fan of vegetarian Asian (read fake meat) restaurants, so I wanted to give this a try. I went with a couple of friends for lunch and had the opportunity to sample heavily from their menu. None of us is vegan. I should preface this review by saying that I grew up in LA, close to Thai town, and I've lived abroad in SE Asia, although never in Thailand. I like my food spicy. Some dishes should be ebola virus spicy; however, the underlying flavors should not be undermined. First time having vegan Thai iced tea. It was good and unremarkable. I did not miss the milk. The satay tofu was excellent. A very good sauce. The tofu did not try to be anything but what it was (not fake meat). Would strongly recommend. The green papaya salad was a bit bland, not their strongest work. The Tom Ka Kai (gluten chicken) was excellent. All of the right flavors, including fresh galanga root and kaffir lime leaves. I should have asked for "Thai Spicy." It seems that restaurants are fearful in Albuquerque about making things hot enough for whiteys like me. I had a whole large bowl to myself. They gave me chile* to make it reasonably close to spicy enough, though. We shared a vegetable tempura. . . okay, so obviously not Thai, but very nice, fresh, light. Panko breaded pumpkin, broccoli, vegetarian shrimp, carrots. I viewed, but did not taste, a fake-beef pad see ew, that looked good. Their lunch menu includes several things on the plate and is inexpensive. I was pleased to see that they did not use a lot of non-authentic ingredients. The temptation is to substitute hard-to-get things with dumb European style vegetables like bell peppers or western style basil, crimini mushrooms. This was avoided and the flavors benefited as a result. The food was a good value ($75 for 4 + tip). The atmosphere is very pleasant, clean, peaceful. My only huge criticism is that dishes were not spicy enough. Eat here regardless of your relationship with meat. * Chile is the accepted, official New Mexico spelling of this word. Does not refer to the country in this setting.

Beautiful resturant, it's gorgeous inside. This is the perfect date night dinner spot if your date is vegan or loves thai. People recommended their fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and well the peanut sauce was good. Don't get me wrong the rolls were good, just really dry and little flavor. I am not a tofu hater or lover so I can say that these guys are the master of their craft. I think what I ordered was called jungle something and it had 'beef' and the texture was spot on and tasted great. It was super hot and I don't remember seeing a warning. Very very pretty inside and a friendly staff.

Vegan or not, don't hesitate to check this place out! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The service was fast and pleasant. I went there with my boss and a coworker today for lunch. We all ordered an $8.95 lunch combo. This included a main dish, side salad and two spring rolls with dipping sauce. I ordered the yellow curry with tofu, potatoes, onions and carrots plus steamed brown rice molded into a heart. The portions were perfect; not too little or much. It was all so delicious! My boss freaked out when she learned we were going to a vegan restaurant, because she is most certainly not a vegan or anything close to that! She ordered the pad Thai and loved it! I would definitely go back and plan to try out the Osuna location soon.

This is a new location for one of our favorite restuarants in ABQ. The menu and the quality of food is the same the original location, which we've gone to a number of times. Our favorites are the Freshy rolls for an appetizer and one of the combos, which come in lunch and dinner size. These are a great deal with an entree, salad, brown rice mixture, and a couple small rolls. My favorites are PET and the green curry. My husband like the Ginger stir fry and the veggie stir fry. We just tried the Tom Yum soup, which was flavorful and spicy, and the Spicy noodles. The vegan seafood in Seafood Tom Yum is surprisingly close to the real deal. I don't know how they do it. I'd also recommend the ginger tea, it's excellent! The prices are reasonable and the portions large. If we order a couple entrees and an appetizer, we're bringing home leftovers.

Been here a few times - I work in the area so I spend a good chunk of time in Nob Hill. They have a gluten sensitive menu, on top of being a vegan restaurant. My friends and I can all eat here, yay! The sweet chili sauce that comes with the fried tofu is delicious - hotter than most, but it's not just heat, there's a lot of flavor there.

Very good food. Mostly processed meat substitutes instead of unprocessed vegetarian combining. With that being said, they will give vegetables instead of the fake meat. The food is consistently flavorful, nice ambiance, decent service, and reasonable prices. 1 less star for the amount of sweetener they seem to use.

Heck yeah! Extensive menu, so fresh and delicious. We were traveling through ABQ and got take out for the road. The spring rolls and dipping sauce were delicious, as were the tofu satay and the pad thai. Some people say it's hard to screw up vegan pad thai but IT IS! and this pad thai was yum. I'm not a big fan of fake meat so I just got everything with tofu. I'm looking forward to my next trip through Albuquerque to visit Thai Vegan again.

Excellent. I've eaten the spicy eggplant, red curry, and spicy noodles several times and am always happy. Lunch and dinner plates are a great deal! I get the tofu steamed, which is better than the fried which can be a bit stiff.
