You guys do not come here if you only need a loaf of bread because they have other things here like fancy coffee drinks and sandwiches and pastries and you will end up buying all of it and spending all your money but it was worth it it was all delicious.

A pretty cool spot. It is hidden and I kind of like that. I enjoyed the idea that you can build your own soft roll...probably going to try that next time. The baked goods are on point and are fresh to the taste. The taste, and look like they are made with pride. If you like to go off the beaten path, I would recommend you walk into here for a morning, lunch/brunch pick me up.

Really wanted to like this place more, kinda disappointed. If you want to encourage ppl to return maybe a little more effort in presentation would help...if you decide to sit down and enjoy a croissant and coffee maybe having a real plate and cup would be nice?! Styrofoam plates and to go cups, really??? (including bad for the environment) The croissant & coffee were both okay. Not bad, not great.

The items at Swiss alps are deliciously made with quality ingredients, care and love. They have a nice selection of desserts and an even better selection of freshly baked beads. But let's not stop there because they also offer sandwiches, croissants, and soup bowls. Coffee is hot and tasty and made fresh for you. If you'd like a small quaint spot to enjoy a sandwich or a sweet treat give Swiss alps a try. I'm sure you'll b satisfied and back for more!!

I've been hearing about the Swiss Alps Bakery for awhile. I thought they had a wide array of breads and sweets. And they do! What I didn't know is that they also have sandwiches and soups as well. And man, are they good! I had their special - ham and swiss melt on green chili focaccia bread, with chips and potato salad. The ham was tender and well-seasoned, and the green chili focaccia was delicious and had just the right heat. The pasta salad was quite excellent, and made with mayo (dieters beware. I added on a peanut butter bar which was topped with chocolate and made with what appeared to be rice crisps as well. Really good, but sweet. Limited outdoor seating, but nice.

The staff is friendly. The order came fast, but was only half homemade. The bread roll was great, but the egg was not. It was one that you microwave that's a perfectly round disc. Sausage was ok, probably premade frozen box. The bread and pastries look good, which is all I will return for.

Nice setting and yummy treats! I was impressed by how many patrons came in to order or pick up large quantities of breads, etc. Although I didn't order any, the sandwiches looked hearty!

Just had the pleasure of visiting this bakery for the first time at the new location off of San Pedro. Upon entering, I was almost certain I was going to order some sort of sugary, confectionery goodness with cream inside or frosting on top. Instead, I opted for one of the handmade breakfast sandwiches, and boy was I impressed! I ordered a sausage, Gouda, egg and green chili, with a small Chai tea. The sandwich was seriously one of the best breakfast sandwich's I've ever tasted! The cheese was warm and melty, the green chili had just enough kick, and the roll was soft (which is rare most places). Staff was friendly, atmosphere cozy and prices reasonable! Needless to say, I will be back.. SOON!

The Staff wasn't really comfortable behind the counter, at least they didn't make me feel welcomed. Kind of felt like an awkward customer experience. But the real killer here is we brought home a cherry coffee cake and it was RAW DOUGH on the inside!!! YUCK!!!!! I've spent a lot of time in Europe, this bakery doesn't even come close....disappointing.

I've been coming here for quite some time, and I'm not sure why I haven't written a review for this. Their pastries and bread are incredible, and I wish I could live off of them. I've also tried several of their sandwiches and lunch items, and they have been great. It's a well-rounded place, the location is clean and well kept up. I definitely recommend it. And it's the only place I've been able to find elephant ears in Albuquerque.

This is my new favorite find. My friends and I recently went to check it out when we got rained on while we were riding our bikes. It's very close to my friend's house so I have a feeling we'll be riding our bikes here more often. It has to be a Saturday thought cause it's closed Sunday's (bummer). I had their stolen latte which I really enjoyed along with a green chile and cheese roll and a delicious cherry cookie. I can't wait to go back and try their other pastries and coffee choices.

Originally I wanted to try this place on a Sunday but after my best friend and I rode our bikes there, turns out they were not open. Just an FYI, they are closed both Sunday and Monday. But after finally making it there it was great. I think I had more fun looking at all the pastries they make and making my own list of what I want to try next time I make it there. The employees were helpful and patient, especially since they became a bit busy while we were deciding on what to order. I can't wait to return.

A ham & cheese croissant is simple. It's a the size and shape of your hand without the thumb. This place makes a monstrosity of a croissant. The crust is good, but the ham inside? The ham is clumps of thin lunch meat. The cheese should be Swiss, but here it's cheddar. Good thing most of there customers have never been to France because they wouldn't have any customers. This bakery's croissant is much closer than La Quiche's. The quiche at La Quiche made me sick.

Picked up some turnovers at the Los Ranchos Growers Market yesterday and oh my gosh they were wonderful!!! Can't wait to try the café!

These guys also set up shop at the Los Ranchos growers market every Saturday morning. The pastries are fantastic, and usually all gone at the stall before 11 AM comes around. The focaccia is great too.

We went here for the first time for breakfast. The workers behind the counter were not super friendly or helpful. However, we managed to figure out our order. I had the pretzel breakfast sandwich. It was fairly good but truthfully, very American. I was hoping to taste some of the other cheeses but the cheddar was all I could taste. We brought home one of their coffee cakes. When we cut into it the middle was all raw dough!!! Yuck!!

They do great work and have reasonable prices. Customer service is pretty good too. I've used their cake services a few times now and haven't been disappointed.

I like this place. The food is good and reliably so. My only complete is that the food is served on throw-away plastic plates. I think this is disappointing. Change this one thing and its five stars.

Life's too short to eat bad bread! Whether you're picking up at the Los Ranchos growers market or sitting in their corner cafe, Swiss Alps Bakery has what you crave!

I love this place! Every dessert has been divine. I recommend the cream horn. The soups and croissant sandwiches are always great!

This bakery used to be located on Louisiana next to Coranado Mall. It was really tiny and then new owners took over and it's new location has a coffee shop/sandwich nook feel to it . The breads are to die for (I suggest the herb foccacia, but anything is worth trying because I've never had a bad piece of fresh, homeade bread from here). It's baked fresh daily and always delicious. and I highly suggest trying the rum balls, my bf loves them. I am a sucker for all of the baked goods, especially the chocolate nut corners. Even better, stop by and have a sandwich on your lunch on the fresh baked bread. I usually stop by on Saturday's when I'm in the mood for a sweet and you should too ---it's worth it (and there's even outside seating when it's nice out).

This morning I went to Swiss Alps Bakery on San Pedro & Candelaria. This was my second time after I had went there yesterday for my first time. Instead of choosing to get my breakfast sandwich from Einstein Bagels as I usually do, I decided to try this place. Going in it felt very nice and inviting, instead of corporate and a chain. The staff were nice and quick to assist. Ultimately, it was the breakfast sandwich that sold me. It came on a fresh baked bread that felt like it just came out of the oven. It was airy and not dense and heavy like a bagel sandwich. And the chile was good in spicy which I think should be a requirement if you're serving chile in Albuquerque. I plan to go to this place from now on and try more of their menu.

Today I tried the chicken salad sandwich on sour dough and added green chile. The bread must have been baked only a few hours before it was so fresh. The potato salad side was also a delight. I brought home a loaf of country bread which is equally memorable. I look forward to trying more of the sandwiches and certainly plan to sample the pastry.

This place is great. I got a ham, swiss and green chile soft roll and it was to die for. It is so nice inside, very clean, including the bathrooms (which is important when your toddler touches everything). We sat inside and it was so nice, and the service was very friendly. My husband and I can't wait to get back to Switzerland one day, but in the meantime, this is such a great way to get a little fix.

Stopped by this little bakery to see what they have to offer on a cozy day and lets just say, "nada"! It was a little bit busy but not enough to even get a greet from the staff or a smile especially when your small & local "Let's step it up people, especially when your small, your business thrives off of word of mouth "Shame on YOU" I asked her is there any baked item they specialize in or that is popular to try, she nodded and said everything is okay and seemed not interested in a $ale, "Wow where is the people skills, I should of heard from her "Everything we make is special in taste & flavor, I really love____ and you must try ____ but I didnt get that at all. Very sad I went ahead and got a triangle shaped raisin baked item( it was average, slightly above her customer service) and some coffee. BTW they need to get a new vendor for coffee as the coffee is horrible & awful tasting, I think it was Red Rock Roasters something like that. She was nice enough however to allow me only to charge on my debit card under the $5.00 minimum. If only I would of had better customer service maybe she would of been able to up sale me and I would of spent more, "to bad so sad!!" Not quite sure whether I will go back anytime soon :(
