Staff were very friendly and nice. Great outdoor seating area. I ordered a peppermint mocha and got something else. Not sure what it is but it tastes horrible. My brother also ordered a drink and said his tasted weird as well. The cup says pm on it for peppermint mocha, so not sure how they messed it up. I'm from Washington, but if I lived here I wouldn't be back. Very disappointing Starbucks experience.

It's been nearly a year since my original review. I'm happy to say that I think the service has improved. Still missing a star for the fact that the outdoor seating is lacking.

They know my drink. They are quick. Lines move quickly and the drink is always exceptional and consistent. For a chain... This is what I like to see!

Although it's the only place to get a decent cup of coffee there are some things that need fixing. The manager of the store doesn't give a damn about the customers not does he seem to care about the Starbucks brand. It's no wonder that the employees complain about him publicly. I've notified Starbucks corporate office about his attitude but they probably won't do anything. So I guess I'll have my latè with a double shot of attitude.

I Love COFFEE! There, I got that outta the way. I also need to say that normally I support local such as Satellite Coffee. However, being that I lived in the NW USA 18-yrs I still OCCASIONALLY go to Starbucks. This one in-particular I visit about once every other month because it is somewhat close to my place of work. However, each and every time I go here, no matter the time of day, they have a line of folks to the door. Then I leave 20min later saying "I'll Never Come Here Again!!!" 2-more months go by & I am outta coffee at work, history repeats itself...UGH! The Gloves are OFF!! What these folks really need to be doing is asking everyone in line; "Who wants a well drink?!" Not everyone in line wants a fancy shmancy double-skim-partial-blah blah!! Some of us, like myself, just want whatever is coming out that faucet-looking thing other there, yea that metal box behind you that dispenses a molasses-like sludge & will keep me going today after an all-niter with my dog growling at shadows all night long keeping me awake!-----But I digress, the point being with FOUR folks behind the counter & countless other Starbucks establishments recognizing the fact that a line of 20 folks might mean not exactly 20 fancy drinks...who's the manager here anyhow? I don't like waiting on line as much as the next person & I'm not all about McDonaldization creeping into every way we do business; but when its not necessary that's even worse! ***2 Starz=Their pastries are quite yummy & Staff is actually kind***

"Going shopping late night? Don't worry, we'll be open at 10pm on Thursday!" So read the sign outside the front door of this tiny outlet, a place I rarely pop into because the line is usually so long. I let the message of the sign sink in a bit while I waited, yet again, to order a small (tall) coffee. And while the usual banter of internal dialogue bounced around my brain ("God I hope I never find myself willing to wait 10 minutes for a caramel mocchiato. I know they have a decent employee benefit package, but what do these baristas make an hour? Should I feel guilty about not tipping when I'm spending $3.50 on an iced green tea? Why aren't there more local cafes in Albquerque?) I started to internalize the sign, and the reality of our consumer culture, and I was deeply troubled. Wild guess, here, but I'm betting Starbucks didn't pay time-and-a-half to the poor chumps who had to step away from the holiday festivities, family, lover, what have you, throw on the old uniform and report to work at 10pm Thursday night. And imagine the clientele; it's gotta be similar to an airline employee working the ticket counter during a massive snowstorm. I have to imagine the customers are anything but pleasant. What did I read this morning? A brawl over cell phones? Walmart is right around the corner... So anyway, the basics: Very small outlet, I can picture four small tables and a couple easy chairs. Usually packed. Reliably friendly, but frustrated, staff. Clean. Outlets on the floor near the bar shelf. Open at 10pm for your holiday-spoiling convenience.

This place gets it about customer service. Easily the nicest Starbucks staff I've ever encountered.

So, why am I writing a review on Starbucks? Because when I travel, I know I can get my coffee made the same way no matter what city, state or country I may be in. I also know, when I need to grab a quick bite to eat, what Starbucks carries. When I entered this location, I noticed the usual pastries but the cooler was pretty much empty of anything edible. "Where's the yogurt, are you out" I inquired. An employee looked at me, no smile, and replied "we don't have any here". Odd, every SBs I've been to has had yogurt. She then proceeded to explain to me, after learning I was from Seattle, that "we're too far south"...HUH? South of what? Yogurt cannot be delivered because they are too far south? I stared blankly at her and asked again, "what?" She said again, they do not get yogurt at their store because they are "too far south". Hmmmmm, seriously? My coffee was called and I have a new name on my cup, courtesy of the "southern girl" - Correy....not even close!! Weird.......
