Sidelines just recently re-opened two weeks ago after being closed for a year or so for renovations. It is up to par with most local bars. Plenty of televisions (11 medium sized ones at the bar and several large ones out on the main floor with a couple small ones in the pool table area. On that note 5 pool tables. kind of tight but adequately spaced. A glass see through divider between the main bar and the pool tables. Bar is laid out pretty well. You can see the televisions easily (it is a sports bar). seats are comfortable. Plenty of square tables on the floor that facilitate butting them togethor for larger groups. They had a band this paticular night and to be honest it is not laid out for a band. They had to eat up some of the floor table space to set up. It was so noisy that talking to the staff is extremely hard. (I was told that they actually had to turn the juke box down to allow the band to play) I did not dine in this trip but will check on that in the future. Restrooms ok. Kind of surprised they were not 100% new looking for a remodel, (s childish graffiti already on the stall wall) Drink Prices fair. Parking is shared with the dollar cinema in the strip mall area so it would depend on what day and time you show up as to how far you walk.

Well, I finally get to write my first one-star review. Thanks, Sidelines! From the dirty interior, to the fuzzy TVs from the mid-90s, to the fact that they'd rather blare XM Billy Joel than turn on the volume for the world's largest sporting event (World Cup semifinals), there is nothing about this place even remotely redeeming. Beers are overpriced considering it's next door to a dollar movie theater. I left for greener pastures, and when greener pastures means Hooters, you know ABQ's Westside is hurting for a real sports bar...

It is a dive bar, nothing more and nothing less. Its not the hottest night club in town, so if you're looking for a trendy dance spot this is not your place. It is also not dirty or inhospitable. The servers and bartenders always take care of you in a timely and friendly manner and you never have to worry about the bartender knowing how to make your favorite drink no matter how exotic. It is kind of weird and lame that they market themselves as a sports bar, as their TV are from the 80's. There are lots better places to catch the game at, but for a quick drink that you don't have to dress up for this is your place.

We stopped in for a quick bit before a movie. I gave Sidelines a two because of its location. As pervious reviews stated the owner is very unpleasant, rude and plain disrespectful to her employees. First it took about 30 mins to get our drinks and they were warm, when they finally arrived at the table. It was early and they were not busy. I ordered a side of cheese and chili to go with my $10 chicken sandwich, the owner was charging me $4.5 for the side. When I spoke to the owner about this charge, she yelled, that they would take it off the check but it would come out of my waitresses check. Then she stormed off. I was very shocked about the reaction. I have never seen a owner treat a customer so poorly. But the fact she treated her employees like that in front of customer, shocked me the most. I can only imagine how she is with closed doors. I love to support local owned businesses but I would recommend taking your business somewhere else. The food was typical bar food but most important employees deserve to be treated with respect.

Not a bad place to spend the day watching football games. The drinks and food are decently priced. The place is huge and can accommodate larger parties. This place is pretty cool in my books! Try the hot wings! They are huge and tasty!

first off let me say this place lost my bf Credit card. We went in to watch a spurs game and came to sidelines to change it up. They do have fuzzy old tvs, but we wanted to see the game so we ordered wings. blah. I was thinking I'd get Buffalo Wild wings, but it wasn't. We'd been here at least 2x and I didn't remember it being this divey but the prices weren't too divey. We cashed out and the waitress wouldn't come back.. she kept going around to all the tables around us but avoiding ours. What the? so finally I got up and asked for the credit card b/c we had plans afterward. finally the manager came over and said that the waitress lost our credit card and couldn't find it? what in the? Ive never experienced this before and wasn't sure if this was some sort of theft? Identity theft? are they halfway to the Cottonwood Mall w/ our card in hand? Well we eventually got the card back. apparently she threw it away. My bf never told me if there were any fradulent charges and I knew its because he didnt want me to catch a case in ABQ. lol.. kidding..I wouldnt catch a case but no ive never returned to Sidelines.

we meet there on Thursdays and Sunday's with our NFL group and the manager and staff have been great to us!! great food and drink specials, we will be making this our regular spot!!

Food quality has definitely taken a dive since last time I was here 4 months ago. Had bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers and bacon was uncooked on half of them. Had a $12 burger special with canned cheddar cheese & canned jalapeños. Really disappointing! Service was better this time, but. ...

As far as middle-of-the-road sports bars go, this place fits the bill to a tee. We came here for the Broncos championship game, and the place was packed. There are TVs all over the place, so getting a decent seat with a view won't be a problem, but getting a seat may be if it's a particularly popular game/busy night. This place gets something of a biker crowd. Not a roudy Hells Angels type biker crowd, more the "I'm over 50, ride a Harley and so does my wife" kind of biker crowd. This place also has a side of the building devoted entirely to pool, so if you're a cue jockey this place will satisfy. Service when we came was a little spotty, but I think that may have been the fact that we came on an especially busy afternoon. They have food, but nothing out of this world. The nachos I had were decent, and so were the wings. Think basic bar food.

Owner is rude to employees AND customers. Know former employees who haven't been paid just because they wouldn't work even though they weren't originally scheduled. Also witnessed the owner totally dismiss customer complaints/suggestions. This place just has a bad environment all around...

Sidelines is a total dive bar its dark and dingy, has some pool tables, and flat screens, great selection of beers on tap and sometimes they have bands playing on the weekend. Prices are average for Albuquerque.

Great hang out place, especially to watch games! They also have surprisingly awesome food that you might not expect from a dive bar. Very good service. Only negative: they often have bands, but it's just too small of a place for drums. It makes it way too loud!
