Excellent! Breakfast burrito is just the ticket to a great start to anyone's day. Highly recommended. Bakery items are sure to please.

The pastries are divine! The Cubano is the best in town.

Downtown's best kept secret Sure, it seems kind of dumpy - but it's not. The staff is fantastic and friendly, and they get to know you by name real easy if you come in a couple times. They have a solid rotation of soups (I recommend Tuesday - jalapeño lobster bisque) that are fantastic. Their sandwiches are fantastic, and the pastries are great. Every sandwich gets a chocolate chip, which I would easily kill for. We make a point to make a trip here at least once a week for lunch, and you should too.

I've been eating here sporadically for more than 7 years and have never been disappointed. My personal favorites are the tuna salad and the chicken salad. Great friendly service, and your sandwich comes with a yummy fresh cookie! If the prices weren't a bit high for a sandwich shop I'd frequent them a bit more.

Yum. Had good variety. A bit busy for lunch, and somewhat cramped seating. But the food was good and they were friendly. The cookies were quite tasty.

Yum. That's really all that is needed to be said about this place. Breakfast burritos are some of the best downtown. The chicken salad sandwich (typically come on a freshly baked croissant though I get mine on wheat bread) and the spicy tuna sandwich... All to die for. A tad pricey... But worth the indulgence every once in awhile.

So good! So tasty! Soul-warming food made fresh in the courthouse districts. Facing a subpoena? Running from parole violations? Wanting to quash a bench warrant? Seeking a restraining order against a nut job? Tell your attorney to meet you here, and (given what your paying her) have her buy you lunch. Order the special. Take away desert. The memory of good eating will help get you through days if not weeks of baloney sandwiches at MDC.

Found this gem on Yelp bc I needed fresh baked goods for a client in town. Pastries are amazing and staff is so delightful! Clientele seemed like locals who keep coming back. Their breakfast and lunch menu looked fresh but I didn't sample. Will come back and try it next time I'm in town.

Had the half and half special. 1/2 roast beef and cup of clam chowder. Comes with cookie. All excellent!

Went for the first time this week and was pleasantly surprised. The menu isn't large, but everything looked good. I opted for a sandwich with turkey, salami, and such. The turkey actually tastes like Thanksgiving turkey, rather than salty lunchmeat. And, the bread was amazing - crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. A chocolate chip cookie comes with each lunch. I love sweets, so that was a big plus for me. It was so good I stopped and got a peach empanada and coconut sugar cookie on the way out. The coconut cookie was my favorite of everything I had. I'd almost come back to ABQ just for that cookie.

I've been frequenting this cafe for a few years, off & on, & when I get downtown during the day I usually grab a bite if I'm starving or meeting my mother for lunch (she works just up the street). I do admit, I absolutely LOVE the food. It's always fresh, delicious, & well-prepared, obviously with supreme quality in mind. The sandwiches are served a la cart with a sweet little cookie, & if you want a side you can pay a few bucks for some chips or a side salad, of which there are many choices; Waldorff, potato, & pasta to name a few. One of the top breakfast burritos in town, but there are many in the same ballpark for a few less dollars. They serve Red Rock Roasters coffee, which is pretty good, & theres a small soda machine, ice tea & bottles water. The prices are a bit high, which I understand is to be expected for quality, but a couple can hardly get out of Roma Cafe for under 30 bucks (yes, I tip well, but sheesh!). The owners are delightful, & I appreciate being personally recognized with a smile & a quick question about my mom, what I've been doing, & how my dog is behaving when I walk in. I truly enjoy sandwiches & supporting locally-owned restaurants, & Roma Cafe is definitely charming. I'd like to eat there more often, but I can hardly justify spending so much money for lunch on a regular basis. Regardless, keep up the good work!

Have been here twice in 2 days! Have had both lunch and breakfast both were amazing! The owners are great! The pastries are amazing the smell at breakfast time emanating out the door should draw anyone in! Breakfast burrito with green chili sauce was great! Had a half sandwich and gazpacho for lunch! Highly recommend the gazpacho!

Downtown's best kept secret is right! Amazing food, great service, friendly owner! Wide variety of salads, pasta salads, soups, sandwiches and incredible baked goodies. The spicy tuna sandwich is the best I've ever eaten and the chocolate chip cookies are delicious. The food is quick and very reasonably priced. A must try if you are in the downtown area!

The workers and friendly with Please and Thank You. I had the breakfast burrito that the workers happily made for me even after the 10:30 breakfast food cutoff time. The organic Peru coffee is tasty. I also had the oatmeal cookie, which is great. I arrived around 11am so the place was empty and relaxing. So if you're dreading that court appearance where the judge is going to throw you in jail, make Roma Bakery and Deli your last meal.

I love the owner Oscar! He is so happy and nice everytime I see him and he always greets me by name! And the soup, well don't even get me started on the soup! Every single one of his soups are to die for! My personal favorite is the Baja Lobster Bisque on Tuesdays!!!

I feel like my last review did not do this place justice. I eat here once a week for several reasons: 1. The food. I have never gotten something bad, cold, or something that was just okay. I fall in love with everything I eat from this expressive little cafe. The almond chicken salad is the best chicken salad I have ever had, their salads are GINORMOUS and full of lovely rich green vegetables, fruit, and an awesome variety of things, and their french dips are to die for. Their bakery items are incredible. If you eat here for lunch you get a chocolate chip cookie with your meal, but they also have other items available if you want to bring some home for later. Everything they make is made with love and passion and you really can't go wrong with that. 2. The service! You walk in and are greeted by the biggest smiles and warmest hello's you could ever ask for. Oscar and all the other members of his staff will remember you even after visiting once. They will remember what you order and what you like and don't like. Even if the food was the worst food in the world I would still visit to be treated like family by these lovely people. Luckily, the food is great too. 3. The atmosphere! Downtown is by far one of the strangest place in Albuquerque. It's urban, but it's old, but it's urban, but it's old. Who knows what look they're going for or what kind of growth they want, but this place is a little bit of happiness. It's a very cute old little building on the corner. It is not filled high end tables or comfy booths, but it makes me feel happy. I order my food, I get some iced tea, and I slide into one of the funky metal chairs and wait in anticipation as the soft light surrounds me. Eating here turns any day into a great day. I would recommend a breakfast burrito in the morning with a coffee(ask for cinnamon and vanilla), and a almond chicken croissant in the afternoon with their tropical iced tea! Yum Yum Yum!

Terrific! I was there for both breakfast and lunch, and you can't beat Roma's food. The #1 breakfast burrito on the planet. Staff greets you with a smile and owner Oscar treats you like you are his only customer. Can't wait to go back again...

Yummy, great quality food at reasonable prices. The best part is the friendly owner and staff. They go out of their way to make the customers happy and remember your name and food preferences. They ran out of croissants one day and gave me free soup - just because they felt bad and heard me say the soup sounded delicious. Plus, you get a free (delicious) cookie with your lunch.

This is a nice little bakery and lunch place. From the articles on the wall, the owners have been doing this gig for a hundred years or so. They have done a lot of good things here! Inside, it's not huge and their menu of lunch items is not enormous. But the food is fast and good quality. The bakery items are quite good. The cookies are the crisp kind, not the soft and chewy kind. The desert empanadas look awesome! They also have coffee drinks.

You must stop here for a treat, lunch, or breakfast! I was fixed up with a fab cappacino and the tastiest pinnapple empenadas! Absolutely tasty and the service was personal, friendly, and sweet. Go now! A gem on Roma.
