Horrible, horrible service. Who gives the adults food first before the kids?! My poor friend's kid sat there looking at us eat! He was crying & asking where his food was! Of course we offered to give our food to him, but he wanted his own food. His food came 10 minutes after ours. Even worse, they forgot to give the poor child his drink too. & when they finally do, the sprite was watered down & tasted off. On the plus side, the food was decent. Not the best nor the most authentic Italian food. but the rest of the kids enjoyed their food. But we probably will not come back.

Why oh why do I always end up at the Olive Garden. It is never by choice but I am often dragged to this chain for work or family who want to have a "fancy, classy" meal. I can't help but wonder if they have ever eaten anywhere nicer than McDonald's to constitute this as a special meal. First off, the food tastes like TV dinner quality. Edible, not terrible but if you are eating out wouldn't you want something you cant pull out of a box? I think the thing that annoys me the most about going to Olive Garden is the raves I hear the entire time from the party I am with. "oh the breadsticks! Oh the salad". People! It's iceberg lettuce with some fattening chemical laden salad dressing saturating it. And black Olives? Ive been to Italy and North Beach and I assure you there are no black olives to be found. And the breadsticks have no flavor and no redeeming qualities except to fill you up cheap while you pay outragess prices for overcooked pasta. As Alton Brown would say, that's not good eats! What really blows my mind is the constant wait! People wait an hour with no problem to eat here on the weekend while Trombinos and Mario's have no wait and wonderful food. But I guess that secret benefits us local loving foodies. I will say the staff has always been great. I'm just annoyed with the whole Olive Garden mystique in general. The best part of the visit is always the Andes mints. I wish I could say I'll never go back but as long as I continue to be employed and have certain friends and family with birthdays, I am sure this will continue to be the place of choice for fancy Italian dining. On my birthday you can find me at Trombinos.

Over the past month I've been coming to the bar here for dinner and drinks at least once a week! The staff is always friendly and the bartender Rhett Butler (He showed me his ID, that's really his name) just goes above and beyond to helping me to indulge in Italian food even with my strict non-diary diet. The food is incredible as well! I love the minestroni and the salmon is to die for! Don't forget to add in the limitless breadsticks, never ending pasta bowl, and half off a glass of wine while you wait to be seated (coming at peak hours is now my new guilty pleasure). Forget downtown, Olive Garden on Juan Tabo is the place to be!

Any Real Chef should be ashamed. Its crap. Frozen then microwaved.....really...even I can bake. Don't serve frozen Crap and heat it up and call it fresh

I am actually giving O.G.'s one or two more stars than they should get but it was bad. We arrived at 930 but they are open til 11 so not to worry. Oh ho ho that's what I thought. Our server must have been the only one in the entire place not on break. It turns out one of the patrons at the table next to us was a former employee. That means the Employees on break ALL needed to take there break at that table. While our server busted her ass and we asked a couple times for each thing the breaking O.G.s team discussed important issues like nipple rings, tongue rings and how many tattoos they have. I happen to now know where those tattoos are also. Very appetizing. I couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was normal olive garden food though so that was good.

I have to say I have not been to the Olive Garden in about 15 years as I didn't think it was good then, so I had low expectations when I was given a gift card the other day. However; I thought it was an opportunity to give the place another go. We got really goo service but the food was pretty bad. Everything tasted like over salted frozen stuff that was reheated. In fact I think the frozen stuff from Costco is far superior to what we were served. The only thing unthought was decent was the salad. If I'm given another card to this place I still won't come back it was really that bad

We don't eat meals there. Who wants to spend over $10 for average pasta? But, we do enjoy sitting at the bar drinking wine and eating the cheese dip appetizer. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Olive green serves up the basic Italian fare, it's my go to place whenever I want some pasta. It's hit or miss here, sometimes it's really good and there's times when it's dry. Kind of like their breadsticks, it could be bread hot out of the oven or hours old. I prefer the westside location over this one.

I'm not sure there is much to be said here. It's Olive Garden. The food is corporate, but edible. Their beer selection is mostly crap, but they do have the Alaskan Amber, so that's a tiny point in their favor. You definitely know what you're in for when you come here. On the plus side, the staff is very nice and helpful.

Surprised Yelp average 2.5 stars. We have stopped 3 times on our Xross country from Pa. to Az. Always been Super on service, speed and quality. It's nice just off 40. Restrooms very clean. Always seated quickly

We arrived about 5:30 on Friday night with a party of three. They were close to being full so the sat us at a 6 top round table! Much appreciated for using common sense & not putting us on a wait list! Our server promptly arrived & offered us some tastes of wine. When she arrived with the wine she took our order, a HUGE Tour of Italy, Fett Alfredo, & Ravioli. Our salad & breadsticks arrived. The salad was fresh, crisp & flavorful! The breadsticks were a bit dry & over cooked to me. Amazingly enough, they still disappeared! As soon as we finished our salad the entrees arrived, right on time! Nice job kitchen! The food was hot, flavorful & appealing! Another nice dinner at OG. The only drawback was the prices. At $16.99 the Tour of Italy is overpriced for a dish with two pasta items. Olive Garden, we want you to stick around. Please find a way to provide a better priced menu! We'll be back, but need to save up first.

What can I say other than just awful. We went for lunch on a Thursday, didn't look to busy, but that's not what our waitresses said. I ordered the pizza flat bread and it tasted exactly like one of those frozen pizzas from the grocery store. Someone else ordered pasta that was served dry and cold. The other person ordered the old stand by, soup and salad, and you would think they couldn't have messed that one up but wrong! The service was just awful too. We had about five different waitresses all informing us of a large party they had explaining why the service was so inconsistent. We tried to tell one of the waitresses about the food, but she was only interested in closing the check out. I did have a laugh though reading the bottom of the check informing us of quite a few options for tipping. Can you imagine?

I love this place! I go alot for a small lunch by myself when my son is with friends/dad. A waitress in particular stood out going above and beyond to help me enjoy my stay, Aja. Sweet and great at her job. She was simply WONDERFUL!

We usually stay away from big chains, but I wanted to try the "buy one, take one" deal. Olive Garden offers a few gluten-free pasta dishes as well. The food was fine (nothing to brag about but nothing to complain about) and the service was even better.

Let me start by telling you I had a room mate that use to work here as a cook. He told me that almost every meal came frozen in a bag and he would drop the bag into a pan of boiling water,Then cut the bag open and drop it onto a plate.. By the end of his work shift he had a full trash can full of plastic bags. Umm that sounds good..So the only thing that maybe fresh is your salad. Last time I looked I could do that from frozen food from Albertsons..lol

I don't really like Olive Garden's entrees but I love their soup and salad combo. My friend and I went here because I wasn't feeling well (stomach bug) and I'm glad we went. Our waiter was super nice and attentive and the soup and salad (and bread sticks) were tasty. They have these new petite dessert cups and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was SO good. Just enough dessert to satisfy your craving and relieve you of any guilt if you're on a diet or something. It's pretty chilly inside so I'd take a sweater with you. Oh, and their restrooms were pretty clean as well.

bland. city. we had gone to macaroni grill just a couple nights before and the difference was night and day. olive garden was overpriced, and the food, although ample portions, was soooooooooooooo bland. plus, $17.99 for a piece of crusty salmon and a pile of grilled zucchini that somehow got soggy between the grill and the table was excessive. many, many other choices in town. surprisingly though, it was packed! weird. our waiter was super nice and prompt so i feel a little guilty panning the place, but yeah... bland.

every time i go there my salad and/or my food tastes bad. I used to like their salad but some kid in the back keeps adding a lot of dressing to the point where its hard to eat, not to mention the REALLY ripe tomatoes... too soft for consumption. And the fact they use all the same sausage sauce for eevrything turns me off. Ive decided never to go there again. BUCA is WAY better.

My family and I went to this location as a change of pace from the disappointment of their San Mateo location. From start to finish MUCH BETTER! Our waiter was very helpful with our questions and was promt with the refills. We had no problems of any kind and will be returning to this location from now on.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
