My steak was not cooked correctly at all. I tried this steak house for the first time tonight and it will be my last. Service is very bad and staff is not very friendly. Ask for a manager and no one came by. To spend $60 dollars and get what I got is unacceptable.

Being a native Texan, we love Lonestar! This is our place when we want steak. The prices are reasonable and they have $2.99 margaritas! Their salads are good, bread is good, really everything is good. The management really takes pride in running a smooth, friendly operation. Ask for Bree or Madison as your server!

Stopped at lone star for a dinner date, immediately got seated at a booth. We were greeted by Shaylynn our server. Upbeat attitude and beautiful smile on her face. Our waitress was happy and attentive to serve us! We had a great time and excellent dinner. Shaylynn was so gracious in purchasing a dessert for us to show her appreciation for dining at lone star. We were very pleased with shaylynn and the service provided and will be personally requesting her to be our waitress next time! :) Kudos ShayLynn !!!!

I guess I am the only one here who cares for Lone Star. Every time I come into Lone Star the place is usually pretty empty which means I get served quickly and food comes out fairly quick. Steaks are always cooked perfect and they always taste great. Their prices are fair, overall its worth checking out especially if your looking for a steak house if your on the west side since there really isn't many options.

My wife and I went to this restaurant last night at about 5:45 PM Pete. She ordered a burger, while I ordered the New York strip steak.my steak was prepared absolutely perfectly. I asked for a side of jalapenos to go with my chili, and what they sent out was to grill roasted whole fresh jalapenos that were the sweetest and best tasting little chili's I've had in quite some time. My wife's burger was cooked perfectly, was so huge that she had to take half of it home, and all and all the evening was great at this location.

Great steakhouse. I had the filet mignon with grilled shrimp, it was cooked correctly and you could taste the fire grill on the shrimp. Sizeable portions but not too much. Place was not packed and the service was excellant.

My mother and I come here at least once a month and the wait staff is always friendly and the food is always spot on. The steaks are always tender and cooked to perfection. I never need to add steak sauce and I love their honey mustard dressing. How can you go wrong with 2.99 margaritas as well?

Weird customer base, but I actually didn't hate my food. Not one of my first suggestions, but it is what it is.

Hubby and I have had the opportunity to have dinner here again twice over the past two weeks, and both times have been a total disappointment. Two weeks ago, Hubby and I both ordered the filet/shrimp combo. Hubby's steak was perfect; mine was charred on one side---and I mean black and not good. I brought it to the waitress' attention and she had another steak prepared, by which time I had eaten as much as I could of a very bad filet that was full of gristle. Took the second steak home and had a sandwich the next day. Last night went again. I ordered the sirloin/ribs combo. The steak looked great when it arrived at the table; first bite revealed another badly charred steak---but the cook had put it charred side down so I didn't catch it until that first bite. I found the manager, with whom I had discussed the prior steak, and he not only had another steak prepared (again arriving after I had almost finished my dinner), but he included another sweet potato with the new steak and removed the cost of the steak from the bill--charging us only $9.99 for my meal. I have to say that the manager was on the ball and tried to fix the problem. However, the problem lies with the kitchen and the kitchen manager. Obviously this facility has a cook in the kitchen who doesn't give a tinker's damn about how the food goes out -- and no one overseeing him/her to make sure that the food is prepared correctly. I have to give kudos to Chris, our waiter, who was Johnny-on-the-spot in responding to our requests. However, having to ask for a refill on iced tea while he was standing there looking at an empty glass was a little too much. I'm not sure how many more chances I'm going to give this restaurant. Three not-so-pleasant experiences in three months is two more than I should have had.

There are better chain restaurants to go to for steak. This place says it's a steakhouse, but it does not live up to it's name. I think garlic mashed potatoes should have some semblance of garlic in them. Not enough to kill Dracula, but enough to enhance the flavor. Some salt would really be a big plus, too. However, at this location, you have to make do with the salt and pepper on the table and season to your own liking. I ordered a rare steak. That is how I eat it. It came out medium well. I could have lived with medium, but medium well and rare are so far apart that there is not an excuse for it. This was a problem with the other steak at the table, as well. If you take my 20 dollars, I would like to be given what I ordered, or at least a close match. It came out medium rare the second time, which was close enough. It was decent. I am not sure it was worth the price to go through the hassle of having a steakhouse make a steak to order. The rice that my friend got as a side was not done well. It was under seasoned, as well. The chicken sandwich is okay and the sampler platter appetizer is yummy, but the main courses just fall flat. Mainly, it's under seasoned and not very good quality.

Great steak cooked to perfection. Great queso appetizer. Wedge Salad was missing bacon pieces, but other than that everything was perfect! Their service is excellent!

We had a wonderful experience dining here. I was initially skeptical given some of the reviews, but that quickly faded when we arrived. When we got there we were seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. The waiter was very helpful in recommending drinks and food. I also appreciated how the manager was helping out, from asking how everything was to serving food. The food was delicious and the waiter made sure everything was cooked to our order. The place is good for kids, and you get a sense everyone around is having a good time.

We went here with another couple, The service was fabulous! My husband asked about the pork chops and our server said he had had some complaints about them being salty, my hubby ordered them anyway, They were pretty salty but he ate them and we figured we were warned so no harm, no foul. Everyone Else's meals were good, we had the grilled shrimp that were a tad underdone, the sirloin was cooked perfect and very tender and the small fillet was fantastic. When the waiter checked back on the meal we told him about the pork chops just to let him know and we told him we were not complaining because he warned us, he offered to bring something else and we refused insisting we were fine but just wanted to let him know. A short time later the manager came over asking if there was anything she could do. We explained to her what had happened, what we ordered, that our server had warned us and that we were not unhappy just wanted to let them know that their recipe should be reworked with less salt. She also offered another selection from the menu and we declined as my husband had eaten the pork chops. When our bill came the pork chops had been removed from our bill. We were surprised and told our server that wasn't necessary but he insisted that since we were not satisfied with the meal they were not going to let us pay for it.

Came in a couple days ago for lunch. We had the combo appetizer which wasn't too bad. Sad that a steakhouse doesn't offer prime rib on the menu for entrees. Ordered the lunch delmonico steak, ask te server what a delmonico teak was and she didn't really have any idea. Neither do I still. Surprise. Also ordered a Caesar salad and ordered a loaded baked potato. The salad was good, minus the soggy croutons. The baked potato came out without the loaded toppings. I could look past most all of this, but right before we left, I tried to wash my hands in the bathroom and after running both faucets for 5 minutes, I figured that they likely did not have a working water heater because the water was still ice cold. Awesome, servers and staff walking around with improperly washed hands. Lost my appetite here forever.

I took my dad here for his birthday, I was somewhat disappointed. Service was great, but the food was not that great. I probably won't go back.

I went there with my husband before heading out to some shopping across the street. We ordered burgers. The burgers were dry. The mixed green salad is actually iceburg salad with tomatoes and some cheese--not really "mixed greens". The service was slow. All in all, if you are super hungry and pressed for time-just go to Burger King. Overpriced for what we had.

Gross. Don't waste your money. How can a baked potato be that dry? And a piece of steak so tough? Disgusting too...is this place ever cleaned? The floor was disgusting, the booths were gross. After receiving the food the server did not check up on us for awhile, so I sat waiting because I didn't want to eat until I had what I wanted...i.e. more butter for my very dry potato. Is that too much to ask? Midway through lunch, the music got really loud and was at a reasonable volume before. Maybe someone just really wanted to hear Shania Twain louder, I don't know. Lunch specials were little to be desired. One of the waitstaff was in the bathroom talking on the phone when I went in there to use the restroom. So that's where they were! I've been here now twice and each time said I'll never go back, this time I mean it!

After driving around for an hour after finding two other places that turned out to be closed and the other changed into an entirely different restaurant we went on the hunt for steak. Lone Star did not dissapoint and we have great service. We started out with chili cheese fries which was a meal for two in itself and then moved on to the steaks. My co-worker got a rib eye medium well with green beans and texas rice. I ordered the peppercorn rib eye, medium rare with green beans and sweet potato. Both steaks were cooked to our specs and the food came out just in the right amount of time. I ended up taking half my food back to the hotel since I was just so full. By filling out some survey on the receipt I got a free appetizer, so I may just come back here before I fly out. If you purchase their chocolate cake, they will donate part of the proceeds to the March of Dimes. How cool is that?

I have been eating here since 2001, once every couple months then weekly about 2010 now not as much. Seen several changes over the years not all of them positive. Corporate food chain so menu changes periodically. Kind of downer when you find something you like only to have it removed. Service has varied over the years. Currently they are having some issues with forgetting about orders or just taking a long time. Recently I had to make a dine in lunch order a to go as 37 minutes to get a burger effectively shot my lunch hour. As with most places on the west side the bulk of the customer base is dinner hours. Oddly enough that is when the service seems to be better, I have more issues when there are less people in the place. As I am single, I tend to eat at at the bar area and it needs to improve. It visibly is in need of repair and upkeep. Prices are better than the comparable steak restaurants in the areas (Quarters, Outback) They currently do have a variety of tastes available on the menu chicken fish pork chops. The steaks are reasonably priced all the way up to expensive cuts. Desserts could be better but this is a corporate issue. I have noticed that the food varies from one location to another. A sandwich I had in Charlotte was easily twice as good as the Albuquerque location. Drinks from the bar are reasonably priced but dependent on the staff for consistency. Parking is all right, some busy nights you may need to park in the mall parking lot but that is not far. They need warning if you plan a group so they can arrange tables. There are more booths than tables. Sitting outdoors on the patio is not bad but occasionally the server is the bartender who gets tied up at the bar. Not a smart practice. They do have several television in the bar area but absolutely no sound like many others. Picture posted is kind of poor choice. Why would you like to see a cash register ant the bar?
