food here is pretty good. I especially like the how the pho is totally different from all the other places in abq. it has a strong garlic aroma and flavor. pad thai is pretty good and is a big portion. I ordered beef jerky and sticky rice to take home. I took it with me on a ski trip to santa fe. Best packed lunch ever!

Disappointing at best. Albuquerque has a great asian food scene and this place is not part of it. The dinning room is run down and debatably clean. The food was okay but nothing to write home about in comparison to other Thai places within a few miles. Our meals came out five minutes apart and there was a total of four people in the restaurant at the time. The spring rolls were pretty bad; the pork tasted old and the shrimp tasted dirty.

food is good. curry is excellent. service is bad. they would not modify my order. ask them to take out something of the dish and add on something they say no. told me that how the dish is made can't change it. i don't want shrimp in my order what so hard about that . rarely come here any more. poor service

Don't go here for fancy décor, sophistication or a huge menu... Go here for food that is exceptionally well executed and straight forward. This place is all good!

ordered take out and the massaman curry was solid but the pad thai could have been better. Overall a decent place, I will be back!

Wow, this is probably the best Thai restaurant I have been to recently. It wins for flavor, price, and portion. Don't be alarmed, this restaurant is definitely a family-owned casual place that locals who know their Thai go to. The waitress was obviously a high school teenager and the daughter of the owner. I was with a large group (10 people) and each of us ordered something completely different. I went with the Panaag chicken, at the price of $8 I wasn't sure what to expect. My friend ordered an order of fried tofu, sweet and sour soup, and someone else ordered the gargantuan spring rolls. All the appetizers were yummy, the fried tofu was crispy on the inside, soft and chewy on the inside. Our food came out within 20 to 30 minutes. They all came out at different times, I want to say the last person to get their dish was behind the majority by about 5 minutes. My biggest gripe with these new "upscale" Thai restaurants is how much they skimp on the jasmine rice. They give you a little bowl or cup with your meal. Krung does it right, they bring out a huge pot full of jasmine rice for each side of the table. About 8 people were eating the rice and able to get third servings with still having some left over. My panaag was SO GOOD! The spice was present, but not overpowering. I could taste every spice and I wasn't sure I could finish all the food, but I couldn't stop stuffing my face. Our waitress was friendly, and answered all of my party's questions. I was impressed, because even though she was the only waitress with a full restaurant she didn't let anyone's glass go dry, which is critical when you're eating spicy Thai food. I also think she was a ninja because she remembered our party of 10s order without having to write it down. I definitely didn't expect to eat Thai on my visit to ABQ, and I definitely wasn't expecting to eat the best Thai food I've ever had at Krung Thai. Do yourself and your pocket a favor and eat here. Yum.

I used to live in Burque, this was a favorite. Solid, week after week, month after month, year after year, got even better after it was sold to new owners. Great stuff.

Came here for lunch with a friend, waited for the bathroom to wash up when a woman came out, did NOT wash her hands and was chewing on a toothpick. To our suprise she went into the kitchen. Needless to say, we left.

Small, cozy atmosphere. Fast, friendly service. Food was hot and freshly made. We ordered pad thai, basil beef and yellow curry. All very good but pad thai was a bit too sweet for me. I think it took all of 5 minutes from order to food delivery, really fast! We would go back again when in town.

I travel to Albuquerque several times a month, and more often than not my dinner is had at Krung Thai. I've eaten Thai food all around the US so I can compare Krung to thai places in Seattle, Portland, Washington DC, Atlanta, etc., but I can't comment whether its 'authentic' Thai. My standard dinner is spring rolls, a curry, and/or sometimes the mango with sticky rice. The spring rolls are top notch and they are a bargain: $3 for 2 large rolls with shrimp, pork, rice noodles, bean sprouts and carrot. By comparison, the same appetizer at Thai Tip is $7 and they are small and full of lettuce (eww). The coconut soup (chicken or shrimp) is fantastic and arrives in a pot the size of a bucket with a bowl of rice, enough for 2 or 3 people. Curries are also generous and good; my only criticism is that I prefer a wider variety in vegetables than what is offered. I haven't explored further since I've found what I like. Krung Thai lost one star for me with a disappointing pad thai - overall a bit too sweet and lacking in 'pop'. This shortfall is easily forgiven because of their great performance on other dishes.

I have eaten here twice and each time I've been amazed. The salt and pepper squid is amazing and the curry dishes are also great. The only thing that is suffering is the Pad Tai. It's a little too sweet but everything else makes up for it. The spring rolls with their peanut sauce are also a great and delicious bargain.

Ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai with egg rolls today to go. Egg rolls were alright. Wouldn't recommend the pad thai. Not a whole lot of punch to it flavorwise or spicewise. The whole thing was 14.99 (ouch), which is a bit much for a hardly satisfying meal (drink not included). Don't want to be too harsh based on one take out meal, but wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
