When my friends and I found an all-you-can-eat sushi place in Albuquerque, we were ecstatic! We frequented this place quite often, and we lived 2.5 hours away - that's saying something! The sushi was on point. Seriously. I loved all of it. I never chose a roll that I didn't absolutely love. And the all-you-can-eat facet made it such a great bargain, and so filling! Why not 5 stars then, you might ask? We had this waiter a few times that was SO rude. He made some comments to us that were outright mean, for no reason whatsoever. One time, we said "have a nice day!" and he said "yeah, hope you don't!" What on earth?! We weren't loud or rowdy or anything but polite. Totally unnecessary and uncalled for. How are you working in the service industry at all? If that guy no longer works here, 5 stars. Until then, 4. The sushi is great, the all-you-can-eat special is amazing and unheard of in most places, but that guy is the worst!

All you can eat Sushi! Trust me - you will WANT to eat all you can eat of this sushi! I know I can never get enough. With these creatively delicious rolls it's hard to go wrong. The salmon nigiri is to die for and as for the special rolls, the Nob Hill and the Luxury Shrimp are the way to go! I've been wanting to try the Korean food but have been unsuccessful because apparently it is impossible for me to come here and not get sushi - not that I'm complaining!

This place really impressed me! Being from the east coast, I've been a little skeptical about eating fish, especially raw fish in a dessert. But they passed the test AND I appear to be surviving the night without vomiting! *knock on wood* The sushi rolls were really fresh and arranged elegantly. Yummy, yummy! In the words of Arnold, I'll be back.

Something simple as teriyaki chicken should not be too difficult. What I got was a plain somewhat grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce poured on it. My vegetables we hotter then my chicken. Staff tried to make it right but my meal was already ruined. Will not be back if this is the type of food they serve for the price you pay.

Awful service, as soon as it's closing time, they turn off there fans, lights, and television. Pretty much telling you too hurry up and leave, People There I assume are the owners, and act as if there Giving you the food For free, will not come back I suggest you do the same.

It was my first time in Albuquerque and I was actually looking for "New Mexican" food but saw Korean BBQ and decided to get that instead. The atmosphere was pleasant and casual, it seemed like there were a lot of locals in there. I've had Korean BBQ in a variety of places and I would say that this place was probably just "O.K." The kimchee was good, miso soup was good, sprouts were good but my main course of bulgogi was just average. It was a lot different than what I've had at other places. It was chopped up and mixed with onions and mushrooms. It was good but I'm used to getting substantial chunks of bulgogi rather than sliced up and mixed with other items. Don't get me wrong, I was full after I ate but I was more or less looking for chunks of meat. Also, the portion of kimchee and sprouts was very small especially for a meal that cost me $15.

I too am very confused by the bad reviews for this place. I'm guessing that the owners must have listened to their reviews because in our recent visits we experienced none of the problems that others have mentioned. Service was polite and attentive and the food was excellent. It's a little odd that the restaurant is segregated between the sushi restaurant and the Korean place. They seemed determined to seat us based on what type of food we were eating. Sushi-wise, the makis were large but expensive. At least a dollar more per roll than most places. They offer a wide variety of specialty maki and the flavors are good and the ingredients fresh. Some of the rolls are drowning in so many different ingredients that they can barely be called maki anymore. Don't be sucked into their "all-you-can-eat-in-an-hour" sushi special; there are so many restrictions on how and what you can order that it's not at all what they claim. I know nothing at all about Korean cuisine but my wife and I both think it's some of the best food overall that we've had since we moved to the 2Q. First they bring you an appetizer sampler with kimchee (I thought it was pretty good but I have nothing to compare it to,) some lightly pickled broccoli (very good!) and a couple of other vegetable dishes. My wife has become totally addicted to their chopchai (sp?); a small mountain of not overly cooked vegetables and optional meat over a bed of delicate noodles and an unbelievably delicate and flavorful sauce. Really an excellent dish. I've had the bulgogi each time we've been there. Well flavored and simply presented, if somewhat plain. Fellow foodies with discerning palates and a lust for excellent food may have noticed that there are not a lot of truly great (or even particularly good) options in this town. With the qualifier again that i don't know Korean food in the least, Korean BBQ House has some of the best food we've stumbled on here.

While Korean BBQ House attempts to provide Korean cuisine, I am afraid its effort is half-cooked (no pun intended). My party tried three different dishes: Yukkgaejang (Spicy beef brisket stew), Ddukmandugook (dumpling and rice cake soup), and haemul-soondooboo-jjigae (seafood-soft tofu-stew). Yukkaejang was so salty that I couldn't finish it. I was afraid that finishing it will make me violently ill. Ddukmandugook was a bit better with sodium content, but still pretty bad. The dumpling was bland, also. The only bright (relatively speaking) part was haemul soondooboo jjigae, which was palatable. The execution of dishes was not the only culprit for less than favorable dining out. We had three waiters serving us, although together they were somehow inadequate. Extra bowls we asked were as if they were just rinsed in dirty water; they had what seemed like bean paste particles all over the inside surface. Upon my pointing out, one waitress was pretty nonchalant about my observation. She brought out another bowl, but who know if she just dried the same bowl and brought it out? Another waitress was helpful, keeping eye contact with us and actually accommodating us in her busy schedule. All in all, I don't think it was a terrible dining experience. I feel that Korean BBQ House has so much potential. Any restaurant can definitely improve patrons' dining experience by training their wait staff. As for the food quality, I find it lacking and bland overall. It's not easy or cheap to have a good supply of Authentic Korean ingredients. But that's the essence of how to run an ethnic restaurant like Korean BBQ House.

I cannot for the life of me understand all the bad ratings for this place!! Admittedly, in spirit, I concur. if you read through the reviews, you'll find the food is excellent and the service wanting. I've had almost everything on the menu and while I've experienced aberrations in food quality (cuts of meat could be better at times...) the menu and the quality is amazing. They don't try to inundate you with a flood of options but have all the staples of Korean cuisine. My favorite is the bibimbop in a traditional fiery hot dolsot. You might want to ask them to undercook the egg as it's typically a little overcooked. Their bulgogi is also excellent but with the prior stated caveat. And the chapchae is outstanding. The could stand to use a few more waiters and waitresses but I've never had anyone be unfriendly to me.

I've been to Korean restaurants in NYC, LA, San Francisco and Seoul. I can say this is the worst Korean restaurant on the entire planet. So bad, it's actually offensive. Unfortunately this is the only one in Albuquerque. This is what having no competition can do. ABQ desperately needs another Korean restaurant so there can be a reason to up the quality.

I went to Korean BBQ so excited to order a seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) and pork bulgogi. It was barely edible. Do they know what haemul pajeon is supposed to be? It must be great to be a Nob Hill hipster and show up like you are a Korean food connoisseur and eat what they probably feed dogs--smiling the entire time. Is there Korean food here? Like the kind that you can't stop eating? Do not eat here!

I ordered Beef Bulgogi (to go) and asked it I could get extra kimchee. I was informed that kimchee doesn't come with the meal, WHAT??? It comes with a lettuce salad SMH. I have never heard of a Korean restaurant whereas you have to pay for Kimchee. So I asked if I could substitute kimchee for the lettuce salad. Nope, couldn't do that. So I ended up paying for kimchee (because a Korean meal isn't a meal without kimchee). Wasn't worth the money at all. Do yourself a favor and go to Fu Yuang.

+1 star: Delicious and very authentic Korean food. +1 star: The waiter who overheard me tell a friend that I need a napkin and immediately came over to me with a napkin before I could request it from him. Those are the two bright spots of this place. -1 s

Brent was BY FAR the WORST waitor we have ever had the displeasure of encountering. He was rude, short with us, and did not say youre welcome or thank you. Youd think on a $50 tab that he would at least TRY to be nice. We wont go back for this reason. Which is unfortunate because we LOVE bulgogi and it was delicious. We gave the tip to the buser. He was the only nice person there.

If you close at 9:30, that means you serve until 9:30. 9:10 is not 9:30. You don't demand a customer orders in the next 2 minutes. You don't turn off the lights in the dining room while you have people still eating. You provide itemized bills so we know we aren't being over charged. I will never eat here again.

Living in the Nob Hill area, and loving the Sushi & Sake in the NE Heights, I was so extremely disappointed in the service here and will not return! Waiters are less than friendly, and not just one in particular, all of them!

Yeah I am not a fan. Hate to write a review that is settled around anything but the food, but I have to be brutally honest with my Yelp peeps. We had the most jerk server tonight. He wasn't wearing a name tag and lucky for him to not be put on blast. Went out with my girls tonight to this place in hopes to just chat about girl things and hate on boys (sorry, honesty remember). This servers attitude was completely smug and 'holier than thou'. When he brought my soup he handed it to me and said something like "here, you take it". When asked if he could take a picture of all us to commemorate our night out he said "really, im a little busy right now". Are you kidding me? um...I may have actually said that. Sorry mom. Finally the food. I had the Korean noodles, or Japchae, with tofu. I will say it was A LOT of food. Split that dish with someone. The banchans were meh. I ordered cucumber kimchi because its my fav and it was fairly ok. Needed to be sliced thinner and more sesame oil and less onions. Im not coming back though on principle alone and neither are my girlfriends.

I had the luxury shrimp roll with 5 pieces of nigiri and it was actually pretty good, but slightly to much spicy mayo on top. All of my friends had great reviews on the tarantula roll and no one was disappointed with their food. Parking can be difficult if you go during peak hrs. Also, service was slow at times and I sensed a bit of impatience initially. Lastly, I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't the Koran bbq i was expecting with marinated meat and the cook it at your individual tables. This is what I'm used to in Virginia and Cali.

Pretty good sushi here! I've been looking for some good sushi around UNM and found this on yelp... Pictures made me drool.. I eventually went here on a date with my guy (: we ordered tarantula and the bulgolgi combination. Taste so goood! Just like back home in Cali Korean food. If come back again. Probably try their all you can eat specials!

UNBELIEVEABLE! DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT! Not only is it dirty inside and smells fishy (a sign of poor quality), when I called to inquire of the all you can eat option I was told over the phone that they have it available all day. When I arrived at 2:15 I was told that I could not order the all you can eat option because they shut it down at 2:30. Why would they shut it down(a)? And (b) why would they tell me over the phone they offer it ALL DAY, when they DON'T??? And then the alleged owner kept asking if we'd been there before????? Rude! So very annoyed. So I left. They've lost my business for sure!

Went to this restaurant for the all you can eat sushi. It was a horrible experience . Nigiri was filled with too much rice and the fish (salmon, yellowtail, and tuna) was not fresh. If there were any sushi left that was not eaten you could possibly be charged for. We had 3 pcs of nigiri left and they wanted to charge us. We did not enjoy our dinner and we forcefully finished our nigiri so avoid being charged additional cost. It was so bad that we both threw up after.

Ordered the crunchy munchy and the nob hill sushi roll. First, the presentation was awesome looked delicious but the pieces were bulky and some were small. The crunchy munchy was tightly wrapped and the nob hill fell apart as I tried to hold it in my chopsticks. As for the taste, both had great texture as the flavors melted in my mouth. The crunchy munchy was too sweet for me. So out of the two the nob hill was my favorite. The big pieces of avocado and cream cheese gave it that nice texture and the spicy mayo with the shrimp tempura. The tuna and shrimp on both sushi rolls weren't fresh. The rice not sticky. Sushi is so-so. As for the environment, as soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by a male waiter and were asked if the table he offered was acceptable (something I always appreciate) and then asked us if we were there for sushi or BBQ. I thought strange question but we were there to try the sushi and later found out they segregate based on what type of food you eat!! Food racism is not appreciate (just kidding) For me the bathroom is a good indicator of how well the food is prepared. If it's not clean well we have a problem. So, ladies who are reading this please don't use the ladies room because it doesn't have a lock and it is right next to the kitchen where they prepare your sushi! My concern was omg the waiters can see inside every time someone opens that door!!! The bathroom is falling apart and needs new amenities. I don't think this place has ever been remodeled. As for the table setting, it was fine had all the necessary items for a sushi meal with a nice flower in a vase. We had a Friendly male waiter but the female staff were very curt. A female waitress asked my companion a question "everything okay?" and then walked away before he answered. Overall eh...I would come here again if needed but not something I would ever crave...

I've only been here for lunch, but since they've opened I've been here about a half dozen times and found it to be a consistently good place to catch lunch in Nob Hill. The bento lunches are a good deal, and it's fun to sit in the window and watch the traffic up Central while you eat. I'm certainly no expert on Korean food, but everything I've tried here has been really good. I usually order a bento lunch which comes with about a half dozen sides including kimchi. Unfortunately, I have no idea what most of the other stuff is, being unfamiliar with Korean food. All I know is that the spicy beef thing I got last time was killer. The menu doesn't really explain what you're getting, but the adventure is part of the fun. It's all been flavorful, tasty, and an inspiration to try more Korean food. They should probably have more explanation on the menu because most things just have the Korean name with no description. This means that you either have to just pick something at random, or ask the wait staff to explain pretty much the entire menu before you can order. But, they've always been really nice about it.

Ok food, horrible service, even worse management. I used to come to this restaurant all the time with my girlfriend because we thought it was the best in nob hill, however not only has the quality slipped but the service that was originally mediocre at best has gotten so bad that you feel like you are an inconvenience to them for giving them your business. They are consistently rude, their table service is unreliable, and they are constantly trying to accuse you of being cheap and/or taking advantage of their specials. Not to mention they falsely advertise their specials and don't write down all of their ludicrous conditions anywhere. For example, their so called "all you can eat" special is so limited that you might as well just buy a la carte. Not to mention there is a clause where they will charge you for every piece of sushi you do not eat. While I understand that business decisions must be made to keep things profitable don't call it an all you can eat when you limit the number of orders that can be made as well as charge for what's not eaten. The last straw for me was when we brought in our "frequent eater" cards to take advantage of the "after 14 meals get $20 off your 15th!" Promotion. We had ended up with two cards from the restaurant that totalled up to 14 meals, at the end of our meal we went to cash in these stamps for the discount and our waitress (who is also the manager) told us that they don't allow for combining cards, even though it was her who gave us the second card when my girlfriend lost her purse and we didn't have our original one. It doesn't mention this anywhere on the card or visibly in the restaurant. We almost couldn't pay our $44 tab because we hadn't brought enough money with us anticipating our discount. Thank god I had an extra 20 in the car! There are numerous other examples of their awful service that we have experienced in the 2 1/2 years we have been frequenting here. Things that Range from inappropriate looks and whispers about my girlfriend from the men preparing the sushi to the fact that the bathroom didn't lock for longer than i can remember. And it's this last time that made the sentimentality of our first date restaurant not worth the abuse anymore. I will NEVER eat here again.

so I'm down here for the afternoon, jumped on yelp to find some lunch before I head home. I saw korean bbq, and I'm thinking hell yeah, I could dig on some kimchi.... NOPE! After navigating through traffic and looking for a parking spot forever, I made it to the front door only to see a post it note with "out to lunch 2:30 - 4:30" in barely legible script. So that's a big downer from me on service alone. I ended up coming across the street to nob hill. Look for my review over there.

Deserves no stars, but since that option is not available, 1 star it is. My friend and I met here to enjoy some Korean food (she is from Seoul, I am a mixed Korean). I have had Korean cuisine in many large cities and I can honestly say that this restaurant is sub par. Very stingy with the panchan and our mandu was dry! This was the worst representation of Korean food I have ever had. I was appalled by the terrible service we received as well. Our server did not seem remotely interested in us, and in my opinion was dismissive. Even while my friend spoke perfect Korean and was very polite, our server was still rude. I will not return.

I'm giving this place 3 stars only because it's the best (only) option I know of in Albuquerque for bibimbap. And that's the only thing you should get here. It's a great mix of fresh veggies, a fried egg, Korean-style chicken, pork or (my favorite) beef served over rice in a "hot pot". Mixed together with the Korean "spicy" sauce (which could really serve to be spicier), it's pretty darned good. The BBQ which is this places's namesake leaves a lot to be desired. It's inconsistent in texture and flavor but consistently underwhelming. Atmosphere-wise this place doubles as a sushi restaurant (Sushi & Sake) which I do not recommend. If you like sushi, go elsewhere.

Have eaten here several times before and had a good experience. Tonight I went in to get a to go order for me and my co workers. They seemed kind of flustered and the restaurant was not busy. Was also weird to get wasabi wrapped in foil instead of packets and soy in small cups. Not very good for traveling. I ordered two orders of calamari and they combined them into one box. They need to get it together or I wont go back.

I was so excited to try this Korean Bbq place and was let down big time. I have been to Korea many times and missed having Korean bbq. I took my girlfriend and we ordered the spicy pork and teriyaki chicken. Customer service is extremely RUDE!!!!The food was fairly good but I asked the manager if I could have a few pieces of lettuce with my meal. She said I could but it would cost me $2.99 extra. Are you kidding me? In every Korean bbq restaurant I have ever went to they give you the lettuce with the meals it just comes with it. I figured for paying over $35.00 dollars for two people to eat lunch that they wouldn't nickel and dime there customers for everything. The prices are way to high and the restaurant is ran by a penny pinching stingy management who wants to nickel and dime the customers. I suggest you don't go either. I don't know how the place gets repeat business. Sakura sushi house has way better food and treats there customers right.

3stars is because it's a all you can eat sushi, other than that, everything else that me and my parents has experienced was bad. the servers was means to us and wasn't helping at all when it comes to the menu, they even ignore us when we were trying to order something else. It's my second time and I don't think it's going to be another one.

Grabbed sushi here the other day shortly after lunch. The sushi was great. Very fresh tasting with good presentation. I can't speak to the Korean menu but I would surely go back here for the sushi. I felt the prices were just on the high side of fair for the atmosphere. Other than that it was really good.

I'm definitely not a sushi snob. If I find something that is reasonably priced, fresh, and tastes better than what I can make at home, I'll put it in my restaurant rotation. That said, don't waste your time or money on this place! I bought the all-you-can-eat-sushi lunch a little while ago. It was awful. Even though the roll presentation was okay, the fish tasted old. Different parts of the sushi seemed slapped together at random too, like the roll just had to look good but taste didn't matter. I really couldn't taste the different parts of the roll, which is one of the things I really look forward to when eating sushi. The worst part came towards the end of the lunch when I ordered a hand roll and got something filled with what I can only assume was limp, stringy vegetable goo that vaguely resembled cooked onion (but tasted nothing like it). The customer service was equally poor. The waitress glared a lot. She glared when I ordered, when she brought me my drink, when she refilled the drink, and especially when I ordered a second round (of the two rounds you're allowed at the all-you-can-eat price). I thought that I had done something wrong until I realized that she was glaring at everyone and mostly ignoring the rest of the wait staff. Bad day maybe? I didn't make for an enjoyable afternoon of dining. The price was also high for the service offered. I payed about 26$ for the buffet, taxes, and a drink (saved money on tip :-) ). I used to pay less than 20$ for a similar sushi all-you-can-eat in Salt Lake City, Utah that had better quality and selection. Also, far from being a all-you-can-eat in the way that I understand the term (and the Salt Lake restaurant did it), this place comes with a bunch of restrictions. First off, you're limited to one hour to eat your meal (so ... no talking guys). Second, you only get to order two rounds of sushi and side dishes, after which you presumably pay the a-la-carte price. Third, you only get to order 1 of the chef's specialty rolls per person per round. Finally, you have to pay a-la-carte price for ANY leftovers. I'm laid back when it comes to sushi. I would much rather make my car payment each month than find the perfect roll from Chef Dingus Jet Li. But, this place is low even by my low sushi standards.

Don't eat here if you want value for your money. The place is very expensive and they skimp on meat in their dishes. They just pile up on vegetables. The rice in the dishes was gummy and dry. We were charged about 3 times of what the food was really worth. I will not go back to this place again.

Horrible. The waitress/manager was a real bitch and the food was mediocre. I've also been sexually harassed by the sushi chefs on multiple occasions. There are so many better sushi places don't bother with this one. Try the one across the street or showgun which is just down the road. I have never been so pissed about restaurant service in my entire life. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but the manager at sushi and sake was cheap, dismissive and could care less about your dining experience. So livid.

I don't know how this place has such a low rating. I was extremely impressed and at here twice in my four night stay. I got the dinner box with the karbi. The karbi wasn't the best I've had, but was still delicious. The cucumber kimchi was amazing and tasted just like my grandmother used to make it. Also, the sushi rolls are pretty big. Wish this place was in TX!

I've been here before and not been super impressed but desperate times call for desperate measures when it's getting late on a Saturday night. So.. I opted for some takeout sushi. First off.. their menu has no prices online, so it's kind of a guessing game. But hey, I really craved sushi so price was less important to me. I ordered the sushi deluxe combo which has 9 nigiri (chef's choice) and 4 pieces of cali roll along with 4 of spicy tuna roll. Picked up the order, got home, opened the box, and the 9 piece chef choice was 4 pieces of salmon nigiri, 2 of tuna, one shrimp, and 2 yellowtail (I think). Either was, I would call that the saddest combination of nigiri ever. I could get more selection from a premade box at the grocery store. I know it's the chef's selection and the economy is bad, but really..? I picked a 9 piece nigiri combination so I could get some variety. Then the rolls were made as one roll, so the center piece was half california half spicy tuna.. sweet, a confused mutant piece. They were rolled relatively loosely and were falling apart as well. Eh, what can you really expect from an all you can eat sushi bar. Definitely not pride and customer service. You'd think if I'm paying full price for an entree rather then showing up and stuffing my face as if I hadn't eaten in weeks that they would put a little passion into making my food. Nope. Well I don't plan on stuffing my face with mediocre sushi until I explode anytime soon, so I'll start looking real hard for a different sushi place that's open when I have a late craving. I would hate to have to settle with grocery store sushi, but in this case, I might have to.

Sushi sucks, bulgogi is bland, tempura is greasy and the tempura veggies were undercooked (i.e. hard sweet potato slices). Even the salad dressing was sub par. The "all you can eat" sushi is a scam. Poor service. Would not eat here again. Wish we'd read the reviews before going. Two of us hte ordered bento box - they didn't even give you ginger and wasabi with the icky california rolls that came with it. The bean sprout pickle/salad was just nasty. The miso soup and rice was OK.

Previous reviews were very accurate. I should have listened. Bulgogi was bland and dry. They use imitation crab for the Cali rolls. COSTUMER SERVICE WAS THE WORST!!! Servers never smile or greet us. Our server even emphasized the price of my order, like I cannot pay that price. She gave us our check when we are not even done eating!! Very rude. They don't even deserve ONE star.

First off, I'm Korean and I KNOW what Korean food is supposed to taste like and this place is a HORRIBLE representative of it. I'm almost embarrassed that New Mexicans might think that this is what Korean food is supposed to taste like. Their prices are way too high for the quality of the food. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the bibimbap is decent (but then again it's pretty hard to go wrong with bibimbap) and the sushi is fairly good. However, it's way too "americanized" and the rolls tend to fall apart which defeats the whole purpose of the roll. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Korean food.

The Old Man was in the Big Cat Box over seas for my birthday so Iinvited a few manky pirate type friends of mine to help me drink my liver into oblivion and eat my body weight in sushi. One of my scurvy peeps suggested this place and had me at "all you can eat" and "pretty damn good sushi for being landlocked". Well hells yeah, I'm effing in! As mentioned previously they do segregate you depending on if you are there for Japanese or Korean. Not sure what the ACLU would say about it but no one else is bitching so I guess it's kosher. We got there early enough to score the big "tatami area" in the back which is stranglety devoid of tatamis but has lots of pillows to sit on the hardwood floor. Some of the cushions are a little flat so I took the 2 fluffiest ones for my bony ass. There was also a weird ledge bar thingy that some people sat at which I guess is cool if you can't get all up and down off the floor. Since I was gonna dent my liver with massive quantities of sake I knew that I would be crawling out so no biggy. The all you can eat deal is pretty sweet with one roll being from the chefs special selection and the regular sushi being all you can eat. Those bitches totally lost money on us that night cause me and my peeps can throw some raw fish down our necks. The waitress was cute as a button but not very with it and distracted at times to the point I think she totally forgot to charge us for some of the sake. I'd prefer to think of that as a birthday present to assuage my guilt by not noticing until after we all had compared notes how much we actually had drank vs. what we paid, but I'm not gonna let that catholic guilt shit keep me up at night as we tipped like mofos.

I almost feel bad writing this review because of how adorably earnest our server was. Then again, I couldn't help but notice how empty the restaurant was. So the service was great but the food was...uhh, a poor representation of what Korean food should be. Flavor seemed to be on a bit of a holiday and the quality of the meat was noticeably poor. Even worse the best part of our meal was the traditional Korean side dishes. The side dishes were quite skimpy for two and I fought over the better-than-expected Kimchi with my dining companion. If you've never had Korean, don't make this your first time. The real stuff is so much better.

Horrible! It should not be called Korean BBQ House. The Bulgogi was WATERY! Not marinated and grilled. I had to order a side of Kimchi. Which is an essential when having Korean BBQ. I have had my share of KBBQ while living out in CA, and when I heard about this spot, I was actually excited. I was so disappointed. The people eating at the restaurant, I don't think have actually experience REAL Korean BBQ! The service was horrible as well. We were seated without menus, and the server had to come ask our drink order multiple times.. What's so hard to remember about a water and diet coke?? Just an utter disappointment! Please someone open a real spot, and show Albuquerque the true meaning of Korean BBQ!

Large partys are not recommended. Screws up order and the bills. Sushi is ok. Small rolls

Walking in on a Friday night we received no greeting just a panicked "there is a 40 minute wait!" when there was no one else waiting. After a minute we were walking out and another server grabbed us to let us know they were clearing a table for us. All the waitstaff seemed very scatterbrained. We received our sushi before any soup. The table next to us had the same issue. We listened to them ask the waitress for dishes to put soy sauce on FOUR times. Then they only brought them one dish. They also never checked on us. It became a funny game to try to get her attention to tell her if we needed something. Mostly we failed at it because even while at the next table she did not even look at us. The food was fine..nothing great, but with such hecktick and poor service I'm sure we will not go back.

I love Korean food so I like to find it wherever I go and try it out. When I was recently in ABQ to visit family I drove by this place and had to ask my parents, cousins and aunts if they wanted a new dining experience. They were instantly up for it and I was elated. Now when I do these things I tend to talk up a certain cuisine and then have the fear that those who heeded my advice will hate it and when I walked into this place and we were the only customers I was afraid I had made a bad decision. We were in the heart of green chile country and I was taking people out to Korean food. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!? On top of this it looked like a converted Sambo's or something and that was a little scary as well. Now that I said of all of that the food was actually surprisingly good, the kimchee and other side dishes very fresh, the Bimbimbop tasty and not one of my relatives were disappointed. In fact, several of them had found a new cuisine and could not wait to get home to their towns and see if they could try Korean food. I give this place three stars, because it was not outstanding, but it was good. It is worth it for the low prices and if you like simple Korean food you will like this place. It is only one of two Korean places I know of in ABQ as well. Try it. You might like it.

I wanted to learn about Korean food while a Korean coworker was in town, and this is where we ended up going. He split two Korean BBQ combos with 3 of my friends, and I ordered the bibimbap. The guys were raving about the BBQ platters, and I thoroughly enjoyed my bibimbap as well. The platters were so huge, the four of them could have split just one. My visiting Korean coworker attested to the authenticity of the food. Everything tasted great and we were also served a small platter of pickled vegetables that were fun to snack on. I can only do 4/5 stars because I came back another time to try the sushi and it didn't live up to expectations. The fish just isn't as great as it could be for the high price. "Kind of fresh" might just be as good as sushi gets here in ABQ.

Hmmm, with out being too cruel, the sushi is what I would call 'beginner sushi', perfect for the college nearby I guess, but not for anyone who has experienced quality sushi. It seemed like majority of the rolls were some combo of crab and shrimp, not many fish options. But the rolls were very large. The reason I put two stars: sushi should be colder, luckily I didn't get sick. Also service, they were very attentive to two large-ish tables of college kids, they had napkins, chopsticks, etc, but seemed to forget the smaller tables. It was 5 minutes after my sushi landed that I was able to get their attention for my napkins, chopsticks and soy sauce. And they totally forgot my miso soup but still put it on the bill (which was taken off). Based other reviews I might go back and try the Korean BBQ, but may look for some other places first...

This has been a tried and true favorite throughout my time in Albuquerque. They have a wide range of sushi choices made with fresh ingredients. They have quite a few unique sushi rolls. My favorite being Nob Hill, Woods, Crunch Munchy and The Lobo. Okay, I feel like all of the rolls I've tried here have been amazing! Their prices are typical for sushi, around $10 per roll. They offer all you can eat sushi. A friend of mine tried this option once. Only do this if you are starving, as it's only worth it if you order more than 3 rolls. Be careful, though, because they will charge you extra for everything that you don't eat. All you can eat for lunch was ~$23. Why only 3 stars, you ask? The service here is terrible. The servers act as though they're doing you a favor, and good luck getting a refill on your drink! Ask about their punch card! For every $20 you purchase, you get a stamp on your card. After youve accumulated 20 stamps, you receive a free meal! I'm on my second card now!

***update*** I totally just lost my dinner. It's been years since I've vomited. Thanks Korean BBQ. Went from 3 star to 1 This had all the makings for a 5 star, if they'd season the rice to true sushi fashion, and train the waitress to smile. Aside from that everything was a little warm, the rice, the avacado... now I just feel kind of gross.
