A beautiful space and great service. I'm going to add a picture of the patio which is more of a spa feel than a restaurant. What a place for a date or a group of friends. I like going in the day time, but any time is most likely awesome. The barley soup that comes with each meal is divine. I can't go without ordering maast-o khiar, but if you just have a salad the house dressing is delicious. I'm addicted to the lamb kabab--so go try it out and let me know how the rest is! Oh delicious Irani ice tea with mint too

We stopped here for dinner and it was awesome! I've never had Persian food; it seems to have similarities to Greek and Indian food. I had the Beef Sultani, which is a combination plate of Beef Barg and Beef Koobideh. It was very flavorful and I would order it again. The meal comes with soup so you are sure to fill up. The iced tea was very strong and well rounded, the way tea should taste. This is clearly a locally owned establishment that deserves some local love. The patio looks really welcoming; I can't wait until the weather warms up.

Great patio! The house soup is amazing and it's vegetarian too! Excellent service! Our server Jaime was friendly and she also answered any questions we had .

This is the real deal. Everything I've ever eaten there was really good! Kasha Bademjan is to die for. Beef Koobideh is really good. Ask for the 1/2 salad and 1/2 rice option on the entre. The dessert is the faloodah (sp?) with ice cream. Rose water, white noodles, vanilla ice cream and pomegranate juice....the truth is that this is in the 5 best desserts I've ever had and is the national dessert of Iran. I know why!! Go. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice patio seating, good prices, and great variety. My wife and I split the beef and lamb combo which came with a mountain of rice, soup, veggies, and 6 kabobs. The soup was great. The kabobs were great. The whole meal was great! And for the pirce, you can't find any better in town. I recommend this little place highly. I will definitely be back!

Best kabobs in Albuquerque*. I love the chicken breast sandwich and the chicken koobideh special. Expect a tortilla with the sandwich but the bread with the koobideh specials is great! Everyone in my family loves this place as well. I come here almost every day for take away and I love it. The only thing I've noticed is that they do like to change up their dishes every few days and come back from it too. So sometimes I might end up with a different looking and tasting koobideh than usual and no one there even raises an eyebrow at it. Other than that the food is amazing 99% of the time and we end up back to normal. I've eaten a lot of kabobs in my day and this beats most. Also their prices are good! It's so nice to see this place in Albuquerque. Big thumbs up from me! If you haven't tried it, do! You won't regret it.

I've been going to Kabob house for a while now and its one of my favorite restaurants for lunch. My favorite items on the menu are the chicken thigh and koobideh. If you feel like starting with an appetizer try Kasha Bademjan or Tah Dig With Stew.

Delicious with vegetarian options. WONDERFUL Persian tea. The garden patio is lovely--lots of shade and beautiful carpets to relax on. Had the veggie kabob and house soup.

Great Persian restaurant for a good price. The service is really friendly as well. I've enjoyed every visit so far, and they're very accommodating to special orders.

I'm just gonna go ahead and plunge right in with five stars. This is definitely the best Middle Eastern food I've had since leaving the DC area. I think I have an affinity for Iranian rather than Lebanese and this place nails it. My husband and I had lunch here this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by the ample, shaded patio seating. The interior was nice, too, and the bathrooms were modern and pleasant. I ordered the lamb kabob (kabob-e-barreh) with half rice and half salad. Fantastic! The lamb was perfectly grilled on the outside and medium rare on the inside, and oh-so-tender. The salad was fresh and crisp (didn't care for the house dressing, but the maast-o khiar [tzatzkiki] that was served with the kabob was perfect). The saffron rice was just a tad soggier than I prefer, but it was still very good. At $13.99, it's an expensive lunch, but tons of food. I also had a Persian iced tea. Oh yeah, the meal comes with a small bowl of soup. I don't know exactly what was in it--it had a clear, red broth with lentils (?) and I think coriander seeds and onion-- no tripe at all, like Jeremy S experienced (that would be surprising in Middle Eastern Food). It had a spice to it and was good. My husband had the chicken koobideh which wasn't his favorite. I think he should have ordered the chenjeh which is basically a chicken kebob and he would've liked it better. Or the regular ground beef koobideh. Nevertheless, he was a fan of this place. The only thing missing was the flat bread. I was hoping the meal would come with some, but perhaps it can be ordered separately. That would make the meal absolutely perfect. I can't wait to go back. Wish I could go for dinner!

So far one of my favorite places in Albuquerque. I got the Beef Sultani, which is a combination of a ground beef kabob and a sliced beef kabob. The meal also came with a soup, and I chose to get the half salad-half rice (more than enough rice). Tasty, and great portions for the price. They have a nice outdoor seating area, too!

I did not really like the food over here, I visited with my wife for lunch, desert and hookah because I found it listed as a hookah bar on yelp. But upon arrival it was evident that his is NOT a hookah bar, there is No Hookah here. The place is kind of small, a busy kitchen, cooking some persian dishes, we just tried two entrees on the menu, with sides of soup, it was alright, but I would not care about ordering the same again, or return for that matter. We decided not to stay to try the desert and drank our hot teas and left. I can not find more material to state about this place over here, I do understand the high ratings by other fellow yelpers, but I think 3 stars is generous for me.

When you live in an area where Persian food is plentiful, it is always a welcome surprise to find good Persian food in New Mexico. My mother and I had heard about this place, but couldn't find it the first time we looked for it. The non-descript front looked more like a small house than a small restaurant. Walking in, there is a small enclosed patio. The fencing for the patio is a series of upright bare sticks. Very southwest. There are a few low platforms, presumably for hookah smoking. Inside, a small adobe, there is a small dining room. There were some surprises on the menu, like green chile served with the dishes. I was also surprised to find chicken koobideh on the menu. There were a few menu items that had been marked through. I wish I could have tried some of them, as I think they had the potential to be good. (I have found it harder to find outside of areas where there aren't many Iranians.) There are some good lunch specials, look for the table tent. We ended up ordering a side of kashk o bademjon. It was prepared differently from what I've had before, but still pretty damn tasty. My mother ordered the lamb kabob, well done. Her lamb was well done and a little dry, the way my sister prefers it. I tasted it and it didn't have that gaminess that you sometimes find with lamb. If she had ordered it medium well, I think it would have been delicious. I asked for the chicken koobideh. Absolutely moist and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. Both of us asked for 1/2 rice and 1/2 salad. What does that mean? You get the full plate and a plate of salad. SO much food! The bread is made fresh. Eat it quick, because if you let it sit, it turns into cracker. Tasty, tasty cracker. I absolutely need to return, next time I am in town.

Delicious Persian food in NM. Finally. I like the beef koobideh and boneless chicken kabobs. The shirazi salad complements well.

Kind of disappointing. We have eaten at countless Middle East places over the years. I had the ground beef in a sauce flavored like zatir. Wasn't anything to write home about. My wife had the beef and spinach. I tasted it but I don't think I would have finished it. The barley soup was good. The hummus was simply chick peas with sumac and olive oil. There was no discernible lemon or garlic flavor at all.

Since I had never been here, I asked the waitress for a recommendation. She picked a good one! Lamb was perfectly cooked. Just enough char but juicy and flavorful. Rice was great with a roasted green chile and tomato. I had half rice and half salad which was very fresh and came with house dressing, a tangy yogurt. Beautiful courtyard with a fountain provided an excellent dining area. Inside was equally nice.

This was a pretty big disappointment. The dining area is so small that you have to eat outside or feel cramped. The fountain in outside area was stagnant which isn't very appealing but let's get to what really matters, the food. While the food was not bad exactly it was so bland. Never in my life had Middle Eastern food that had so little flavor. Honestly think that no spice was used. That said it was executed decently. Lamb was enjoyable. Other oddity was they take the food off the kabob before putting it on the plate. When I go to the Kabob house I want to see a whole dang kabob. Do not plan on going again. Another review said they thought it was a hookah restaurant and that would make the restaurant better especially considering the large outdoor area.

Hang on is it Kebab House or Kabob? I think Kebab but now I'm getting confused. I felt bad for the predecessor of this restaurant which was a casualty of the Lead/Coal reconstruction that cut off traffic just a couple months after they opened. Same location is now owned by the same family and offers a menu of kebabs. There's not really anything else on the menu but kebabs so you'll save time if you figure out what kind of meat you want, steak, chicken or fish you want on the way there. The deal is you pay a little over $10 and get about 5 large chunks of meat on top of rice with salad and bread. Watch out for the soup! There may be tripe at the bottom. Not a problem for menudo lovers but I decided to dump it over my rice and DOH! It doesn't sound like much but I made dinner and lunch the next day out of it. That said you could easily finish it in one sitting and be full. The staff was nice, I learned about the family and the ties to Iran. We talked about Argo and Iranian politics for about 15 minutes while I waited for the food. Honestly, I'd go back just for the opportunity to have an objective talk about Iran.

Meats were good. Service was not bad. Shawarma came wrapped in tortilla though - not cool. Flavor of everything else was pretty on point.

Food is inconsistent in flavor but is always good. The new server doesn't know what she's doing but we go for the food. Cooked by family that owns and works there. The chicken sultani & beef koobideh plates are great. We eat at Kabob House about once per week. Nice owners who care about the food & customers.

For the area, this is outstanding Persian cuisine. I prefer dinner to lunch due to the inclusion of tasty Persian rice with your dish.

Hmmm. What can I say. The soup was actually good. Now, here's why you should NEVER come here: 6pm, Dinner. Upon entering, we're greeted by a vacant register and noticed some trance music being jammed through the laptop at the desk, providing that nice 'ambiance' for a sit-down dinner with prices that definitely qualify as 'date night' investment. Except, don't hope for any ROI on what you're about to pay for and/or experience. We waited five minutes before someone came out of the kitchen to greet us. We ordered the tenderized and marinated chicken 'kabab' plates (comes with soup and bread--and supposedly green chile which never showed up). The soup was actually okay--if you could get past the above-peaking/screeching siren song of dance/trance music emanating from the laptop speakers (yeah, not external speakers). Once the kebab plate came out, I realized this would not only be my first time here, but most likely the last. The laptop music was now skipping between House, Trance, and Traditional Arabic and Persian music. Very strange indeed. The 'Kabab Plate': The chicken was hardly tender, and not evenly cooked. The parts that were cooked, were about as dry as the New Mexico desert. The plate doesn't come with any sauce or, essentially, anything to make the chicken less dry, bland, and dull. The rice wasn't evenly cooked either, with some good rice and some 'crunchy'. The three pieces of charred veggies tasted like they were charred with newspaper or something that just tasted awful. That 20oz bottle of Diet Coke on the table was perfect for washing down and rinsing out Total price (including 20% gratuity) came out to about $38 for two people (we passed on dessert and the appetizers--which would have taken us north of $50) So, to recap: Good Soup! Bland, Dry, Unevenly Cooked Chicken. Awesome WinXP laptop blaring cries so terrible it makes you want to stuff the dried-out chicken in your ears. Despite that their pricing and dining area are pitched to 'slightly upscale', they clearly aren't as upscale as standing out by a foodtruck.... Don't take a date here... in fact, recommend it to mean in-laws when they're in-town.. that's about it. I give this place until March/April before they're shuttered :-(

As a native New Mexican, I developed a taste for Persian food when I attended grad school in California. When I came back home, I knew my desire for Persian food did not disappear. That is when I found Kabob House. I have found the food to be constantly delicious. My favorite dish, joojeh (chicken) kabob is always juicy and I highly recommend it. The hummus is also very good as well. Even the rice at this place is fluffy and always cooked well. Overall, Kabob House is excellent.

Excellent Persian food. Don't be afraid to order extra yogurt sauce and mix your salad w the rice. The best beef kabob is called **Koobideh**. Excellent family owned restaurant w a very homey atmosphere. Easily the best Persian food in Albuquerque.
