Love this place! The food is tasty and not greasy. While there are a lot of great restaurants in Albuquerque for Asian cuisine, Chinese food is quite hard to come by here. This is definitely my favorite spot for Chinese food in ABQ. The employees are also very friendly!

If you're desperate, go ahead and come here. It's not bad but it's no better than what I could make and I don't even cook! Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic but the dishes I had (3) were not the kind of quality in expect for Chinese food... Like fresh veggies :(

This place changed hands and the whole staff changed as far as we can see. I know no one there anymore. The thing that really ticks me off is they kept the same name and menu and by word of their own staff same chef but it's way different. I'll move my review to 3 stars because I think the change was from 5 to 3, since the change the new food is not as good and the prices have gone up.

Ok, I've found my favorite Asian restaurant. This place is awesome. The Staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are good and the food was awesome. I had Chinese steak with grilled onions. Again, it was awesome.

Food is great and fresh. Portions are large. Superior service. So friendly... staff changed for the better.

Last time I ate here they had a new staff, higher prices, and different food. The food and service was okay, but not worth the 5 stars, I used to give it. I'm going to miss the old Jade!

I was a regular customer before this place changed hands - the food is good but not like it used to be. Smaller portions and higher prices now! The soups seem to be watered down now ! Also seems like the wait time for food has increased from 15 min to 30 min.

Meh. It's not bad but it's not great. It is decent casual Chinese food. Their prices are a little steep for the portion size. The best thing about jade is the location right off Paseo del Norte.

We have a mixed vegan/normal diet family. Therefore, for all of my reviews, I rate restaurants for their vegetarian and vegan friendliness, and general health. Vegan: B Vegetarian: B Healthy Place to Eat: B Health considerations: In addition to regular dishes, they have Tofu dishes, steamed meat, steamed veggies, sauce available on the side. No brown rice available. No salmon on the menu (not typical Chinese fare, but would be nice to have on the healthy menu). General Review: Nice Chinese restaurant with a healthy section to choose from. The healthy section includes steamed meats (as opposed to fried), tofu, and steamed veggies. The natural selection makes it easy for health-conscious folks to go to lunch with friends that want to order off a regular menu. Vegetables were very fresh, and the sauces just right (not too salty or overwhelming). The restaurant appeared to be very clean, and the servers were pleasant and fast. Everyone's food was very good and was on the healthier, better-prepared side of the typical Chinese restaurant. A very good choice along Paseo. Are we going back: Yes. Good healthy options, and good, tasty regular options. Reasonable prices, good service.

We just love this place. It is very clean, the staff is wonderful and the food is always hot and fabulous. It lacks a little on the ambiance scale but that doesn't matter when everything else is factored in. I always have the General Tso's chicken... it is the best anywhere. But I have tasted tons of other things on their menu while dining here with friends and family. There hasn't been one disappointment.

Jade has been a go-to favorite for many years. My favorites are the sizzling steak and I think this restaurant has the best egg drop soup in Albuquerque!

Full disclosure: I'm Asian. I love me some great Chinese food, and Jade has been in the Albuquerque area since that strip mall opened. It's even a lot better than the sushi king across the parking lot. Owner is nice bad sweet and sour (insert choice of meat) rocks. The carry out never fails, and they have great regular Chinese food. I only gave a 4 because they should think about delivery options.

I ate at Jade for the first time today and have to say at the outset that it wasn't my favorite place for Chinese in Albuquerque. Food was decent, but sadly nothing special. It was hot and fresh, though. The facility is basic--like really basic. The real jewel here is the staff. Extremely friendly, efficient, and very nice. And that goes a long way in my book.

My favorite Chinese food in Albuquerque! We always do the house dinner (or maybe the family dinner, I can't remember), which is served with soup, rice, a round of appetizers, and you get to choose off a list on entrees. Don't take their lists too seriously, though-- we always substitute appetizers for the ones on the list and choose entrees that aren't on the list. Maybe we get away with it because we're regulars, but the customer service is great and it's worth a shot asking if they'll mix it up for you!

Not a bad Chinese food restaurant. I've been here a few times and it's always been decent . It's not a place you go for the atmosphere, I carry out every time. The fried rice is always a bit dry but the entrees have been fine. They have a great priced lunch buffet with plenty of food in the $5-7 range.

I'm been very impressed with Jade each time I've gone. Several different items on the menu that I enjoy and the food is about as healthy as Chinese can get. Only have had takeout, but they're very prompt and very friendly. Their beef and tomato special dinner is quite unique and worth trying.

It's pretty sad. This used to be the best Chinese place in Albuquerque. The last time I ate here was 3 years ago. We came back to visit Albuquerque and felt like Chinese and decided on Jade. It has gone down hill. I don't know what has happened, but it just isn't as good. The General Chow's chicken is meh and the pot stickers aren't fresh anymore. It gets three stars because it is decent, but to be honest, we just left the left over food. There was no point is bringing it home.

I went to Jade the other night while visiting friends in Albuquerque. I was very impressed by the service and the menu selection. As soon as we sat down we got our drink orders right away. The restaurant was clean and the booths are comfy, even for my 9 1/2 month pregnant friend. We decided on getting the Family Meal ($9.95 per person, comes with appetizers, rice, soup, and family style entries). We saw that the standard rice for the Family Meal was pork fried rice. I'm allergic to pork, so we thought we would ask to have plain steamed rice instead. When we asked about it, I mentioned my pork allergy. They gladly said they could make us some chicken fried rice instead as well as some steamed rice. When the appetizers came out, they told me that the egg rolls are cooked in the same oil as the pork, so they wanted to let me know so I wouldn't have an allergic reaction. Since I couldn't eat the egg rolls they offered me an additional cup of my soup. I thought that was extremely nice of them. (I'm so used to just sucking it up and getting less food...boo) My friends got scheshwan beef and cashew chicken. I got the chicken lo mein. It was really good! The noodles were perfectly cooked and they didn't taste oily at all, which is a problem at a lot of Chinese restaurants I dine at so I usually opt out of the lo mein. This place has really good food. The veggies on the chicken cashew dish were perfectly cooked with just a little bit of crunch left in them. No one likes soggy, overcooked veggies. I was very happy with my meal, the service, and the overall experience.

Great chinese restaurant. We love the Orange Chicken. Small dining area- not so great for large groups. We go with a family of 5 or do take-out. The owner makes you feel very appreciated for your loyalty.

This is the best takeout Chinese food in the state. Lemon Chicken, Sweet Punting Shrimp, House Special Steak. All good. Also, it usually takes about 12 minutes to from phoning in your order to food in the box and ready to go. I've dined in before too. Service is good.

What happens when you introduce a friend to a new restaurant? On Sunday's Jade will prepare meals only as takeouts. So if you dine-in. you feel like you're doing take-out. Beef dishes left some things to be desired. Pork entrees were yummy. Restaurant was popular. Reasonable cost is a positive.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
