Visied around 6pm. Our normal resturant on Central was closed due to the fire sprinklers comming on. The place was hoppin. Got our table and split up to browse the eats. I started with veggies ther were all so good lookin i had some of all of them. Very well presented very well prepaired. All were exceptional. Everything was clean. All the food was perfect. I ate some very good food that nite. The servers were all in 5th gear keeping the place rocking. Even though there was a lot of ppl. We really enjoyed our visit. Hope you keep this standard up cuz thats what sucess is all about. Thank you for a wonderful night out!

"Go to Golden Corral" they said. "It's good" they said. Jebus Humphrey Bogart!! Fellow yelpers beware! How does a place like this keep it's doors open. I'm sorry for the masses that flock to this feed trough, for they shall not inherit the earth. These are the people who will die never knowing what a well prepared meal tastes like. On second thought i know now who enjoys this, those with cast iron stomachs and those that eat purely for the sake of eating, regardless of quality. Alas I can not make this a review on society, I must adhere to reviewing the business in question. This was my first time to Golden Corral that I can recall, it will be my last. The service is fine. But shut the front door already...the food is (shall I even call it food?) abysmal. No! It was abhorrent! Can I think of a more effective word to convey my disgust? my repulsion? It was odiously repugnant and contemptible. The ONLY good thing about the food... I can't, for the life of me, observe any redeeming qualities. I've eaten in buffet restaurants before and have never experienced such repulsion. You want details? Details you shall regret: medium rare steak is flavorless and chewy. I couldn't tell the difference between the soggy putrid fish, watermelon, or olives. An unknown substance covered the bbq chicken. Onion rings coated in flavorless concrete. Taco meat bathed in grease which complimented the over done rice. And of course the salad greens so exquisitely mushy as to compliment the watery ranch dressing perfectly. I can't do this, I can't relive the torture I have inflicted upon myself. I'm actually sitting here, in the restaurant, afraid to leave. I fear as soon as I get in the car my body will spontaneously expel the poison that has been ingested. If I ever wanted to make myself vomit, now is the time. But I fear its too late for me, the damage has been done. Save yourself, do not enter, do not attempt to gamble with your palate here for thou shall certainly experience defeat. Likely realizing it as you sit upon your porcelain throne vowing to eat better from now on. I rate it one star because... well... I have to rate it something.

Well its been two and a half years since I've been to any Golden Coral and it's exactly as I remember. My previous experiences with Golden Coral have been mixed at best. One day I go there and it's fantastic for what it is and the next time the food just isn't that great. I really think some locations are run better than others. The one and only Golden Coral in Anchorage, AK is fantastic in both decor and food. With so many in ABQ, the quality of the food seems to depend on the location of that particular restaurant. I'm the kind of person that when I go to a restaurant like Golden Coral, I tend to eat the same thing, I'm reluctant to say that trend continued today. I usually get the steak, sweet potato casserole, corn and a piece of Fried chicken wing. For the food items I get, I can honestly say it's pretty good and if you blind folded someone and told them they would be tasting steaks from different higher class restaurants most people would be shocked to find out they were eating a steak from golden coral. It's that good. Now I'm not saying Golden Corals steaks are better your high end steak houses but there pretty good none the less Golden Coral can be a little pricy and with the cost being $25 for two people. Which I think is way more than Golden Coral is worth in my opinion. Still the food is consistent which is good, it's a great place to bring your hungry kids- be wary of the price if your a family of 4 or more with older kids and most of the time you'll leave full and satisfied.

Why? WHY DO I COME HERE??? We come about 2 times a year, and every time I question why. Why did we not go to Furrs down the street. The selection of food here is good, and i know they use alot of fresh veggies and cook right in front of you. It is usually fairly busy so the rotation of food should be good. Not sure why it never seems it is. Maybe coming for lunch means getting veggies from the day before? Peas so dried out they crunch. Sautéed bell peppers now greyish in color. Hard yeast rolls. Hard white rice. Maybe I'm just grumpy. There were a few good things... Chocolate fountain! A seasoning station, which I LOVED. Just a big rack full of a ton of different seasonings for you to take to your table. Mac & cheese was creamy and warm. Fried okra was crunchy and fresh. Baby fried shrimp and calm strip were edible. The pot roast was tasty, however not at all tender. Service...well, is it really her fault that she has almost 20 tables in her section? I hope next time, well, maybe won't be a next time.

I have never gone back. When someone suggests it I say NO! I hope they get it together because I will always feel this way until someone lets me know something has changed.

Wish I could give 1/4 star or less- This place is filthy! Grease and food caked on to the walls- not just the hot plates- but the walls. Dust so thick on the walls in dining areas you can write your name in it. Your shoes stick to the carpet. No ceiling tiles and the accumulated dust in the "attic" area consistently floats down into your food and the food serving areas. Food is nasty too-stale and old looking. This place has been reported to the Health Department. Manager had the nerve to question whether or not he was issuing a refund- and to tell me to be quiet so others don't hear me... well that is when I blew my cork.... WHAT? My response to him- folks need to know before they pay for getting sick.... BTW- the location on Central is as bad or worse- serving bowls are supposed to be white, and they are under the black finger prints and caked on food. Very unsanitary and unhealthy.

I think this was the worst Golden Corral, I have ever been, looked like very busy time of the day, Saturday evening at 6pm. It was obviously short-staffed, poor planning maybe. I am not sure about waitresses table assignment but, she was overwhelmed. Salad bar looked like hit by tornado, veggies everywhere, cleanliness was put on the second or third priority. Same was with other counters. Worst part was it was overcrowded and front desk seemed like lost track of how many people were in there. People were walking around to find to place to eat. Overall very poorly managed place. Since it was by trip passing by, I do not think I will ever be there again, even if I want to.

Is a one star for this place surprising to anyone? I keep getting dragged here by friends and I don't know why. The first thing that hits you when you go here is that it's dirty. Paper, napkins, food and even silverware on the floor in the seating areas? Really? No one would mind seeing the occasional person sweeping up. The booths and tables also never seem clean- which should worry everyone about the cleanliness of the kitchens. I am not sure where to start.... Let's start with the salad. The salad bar is always, always a mess. Toppings and salad all over the buffet and the floor. Not a very appetizing way to start. The salads are boring, bagged mixes that I just hope got washed at some point in time. The meats are always tough. The pastas are ....weird. The mac and cheese sauce is the most confusing thing I have ever tasted. I cannot figure out what it is. Cheese whiz and cream, maybe? Last time I was there, there was cheese scattered over the jello and no one could be bothered to swap out the tray. Really? I...I don't know. I really don't know. I am amazed that I have never gotten sick from eating here. I've seen kids stick there hands in the food and the employees just shrug. I will have to get dragged back, kicking and screaming, to come here again.

Always friendly service. You can hop, skip & jump around the world of foods available! American, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, some European fare. Salad bar has always been full and fresh. Sorry, I rarely have enough room for more than 2 bites of dessert---everything is SO good! MMMCC

This restaurant is dirty, the service was awful, and some of the food didn't taste fresh. The floor, counters, buffet line and all empty tables were covered in food and trash (napkins, straws, wrappers, etc). The floor looked as if they haven't swept for a week. The first employees we encountered were more interested in talking with each other rather than helping the customers. When we were acknowledged it seemed like we were bothering them and they were extremely short with us. Some of the food was sitting out too long but most everything else tasted fine.

To keep it short, this place is awesome and has so many interesting multicultural vegetarian options! Not to mention the price is not bad (~$12 per adult).

This Golden Corral was excellent! Clean, attentive and courteously staffed, reasonably priced. Huge selection! What more could you ask for??

All the food tasted hot and fresh. The selection was great for everyone in our group. Only problem - just not capable of trying all the different foods in one visit. I would come back. Plus that chocolate wonderful fountain was amazing with pineapples and strawberries. So much food, fatties will love!

Its always awesome to eat at golden corral. This one just happens to have truck parking which makes it 10 times better. Any time I can eat here I stop. The freaking bread is addictive just as the steak is

I often dine at Golden Corral buffets around the country. They are consistently good, especially for the $11ish price for dinner. However this one was outstanding. It is about 50% larger than most and the layout is much better. I'm assuming this is a newer restaurant. The buffet was literally 50 yards long. The variety was as good or better than any buffet I have ever seen and the food quality and taste was far better that fancy-pants Italian restaurant I had the night before that cost me $30. Since it is a buffet, the servers here only refill drinks and clear plates however there is a way to screw that up. I've had servers at other GCs clear plates prematurely or bring me a Diet Pepsi instead of a real Pepsi etc. But tonight my server was Chuy and he was on his game. He was attentive without being annoying and I never ran out of Pepsi. It may not be a "Five Star" restaurant but looking at this in the context of an inexpensive buffet I can find no reason to give it less than 5 stars based on value for the money.

This is our favorite of the city's Golden Corrals...most of their food is awesome. We went today for brunch and I wish we had chosen a different table. There are several tables placed right in front of the restrooms and it's VERY unappetizing to sit there. Gross. I also could have done without seeing the girl who was fixing pineapple chunks pop one into her mouth and then keep fixing them...no gloves.

Pretty typical buffet. The service is so-so and the food is alright. However, if you are hungry after a day of working in the house it is ok. I would recommend the place if you have a big appetite and you are ready to eat your way through a buffet. The banana pudding is a toast treat after the large meal.

I have been to other Golden Corral and after reading the review that this is the largest and the best and an outstanding dessert selection, we decided to dine there last week. To our dismay, the Wok was the worst. The food in this section was cold their vegetable was a Wok full of carrots (frozen earlier and heated up) and the cooks was socialising and chatting instead of refilling the wok with fresh food. The Grill is okay, the fried chicken was the only food that stands out. The mexican section was tasteless, the guacamole taste like cornfour. The soup section was cold, I tried the clam chowder and noodles soup, mine it taste nothing like soup it was more like salt soup, Be careful all you have high blood pressure. I was indeed disappointed as the other Golden Corral we went was amazing good, I would not recommend you to dine in here.

For a buffet, I had a good time here. I really like the food choices here, but I wish there were more healthy options. Overall, this place is clean and my drinks always got refilled quickly. It's a great place to go when you don't want to wait for your food to be cooked. I always enjoy my time there and will definitely be a customer in the future.

I've been to a few Golden Corrals. This one is by far the largest and the best and an outstanding dessert selection. Huge selection of food and food accessories. Food is hot, fresh, and tasty. Come hungry, leave stuffed.

EXCELLENT food, service, atmosphere. Best selection we've ever seen at a Golden Corral - it was amazing! Everyone was smiling , from the cashier to the food preparers to the guy cleaning tables. And our table waiter Luis, was super attentive. Kudos to GC! Perfect meal.

This place is awful. Terrible food, terrible service, and I got food poisoning from it. I would rather have eaten my own toenails. DO NOT GO HERE.
