Excellent wood oven pizza. The crust was thin and the crust is crispy and had just the right amount of toppings. The pizza was served quick and the service was friendly and inviting. I tried the basil mint tea and loved it. Their menu is pretty extensive and has a lot of variety. Next time I will be sure to try the wild mushroom pizza and lavender lemonade. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend this place.

So good, I created a Yelp account just to leave a review. We were in town for the weekend and got some pizza Saturday night. Upon finishing her meal, my daughter said we should eat there again tomorrow. From the house salad, to the pizza, to the lavender lemonade and basil mint tea, everything was fantastic! The service was just as good. Loved it all!

Best pizza in Albuquerque, by far. Absolutely delicious, exactly like what you would get in Italy. Great downtown location, friendly service. Salads are also really fresh. Perfect for a quick bite on your own, or a gathering with friends and family.

Awesome, legit thin crust pizza! Great salads also. Staff was super nice. It was fun to watch one of the pizza makers splitting wood outside for the pizza oven. It's right on the edge of downtown but has a chill atmosphere.

This is great pizza. We're New Yorkers, and frequently visited Italy before kids. The pizza is a great hybrid between what you could expect in Rome and what you love about thin crust, wood fired pizza. We love the basic offerings, white pizza and the spinach. Remember: it's not about the decor (the place is spotless, folks), it's about the fresh ingredients and how every pie is made with pride. Enjoy!

I've eaten pizza all over the World, and this is one of the Best ever and certainly the Best in Albuquerque !! And happy people work there, all the better!

  • Paul L.

How can you go wrong with a brick oven? The answer. You can't! The crust was airy, light, and crispy, the way you would expect from a brick oven. The sauce was light and tangy, and the toppings were of the freshest quality. If your ever craving pizza and in downtown Albuquerque, don't miss this place!

My new favorite pizza place! Having lived in Albuquerque for years I have tried most pizza places. I use to eat il vicino almost exclusively, then it was Venezzias, now it is Firenze. The pizzas here are reasonably priced and use good quality ingredients. They are the perfect size for one hungry person. My son loves their pizza and ate a whole kids size by himself last time we were there. They are very fast and friendly. I really enjoy their lavender lemonade. I am looking forward to their desserts which should be starting soon. My only wish is that they will get their liquor license and serve up some killer beer to go with the pizza.

  • Jenny J.

We first tried their pizza when they had the mobile pizza oven at the downtown growers market. Every flavor we've tried is terrific. The lavender lemonade and basil mint tea are also delicious.

If I were to ever go back it would probably be for take out only. The pizza is good and the menu has a great selection of pizzas with gourmet toppings. The reason I will not dine in is because the interior was disappointing and while we were there the manager was chewing out an employee in front of everyone to the point of tears. It was so awkward and not my idea of a great experience.

Wild mushroom pizza is just amazing. Really friendly environment. Plenty of parking in the bag (great advantage being downtown). Use brown sugar for lemonades. Real local business. The owner makes your pizza. Will go again at any time. Totally recommended.

Good pizzas at good prices-- stopped in today and lucked out with their happy hour-- between 3-5, $6 cheese or pepperoni pizzas. Asked for the margherita but the description said housemade mozzarella, and it looked like regular mozz. Pizza was good- not unforgettable, but good. If this was closer to where I live, I'd frequent this place. Oh and this place needs a liquor license!

  • Lauren B.

Such great pizza!! We got the pepperoni, margarita, pesto and godfather pizzas and thoroughly enjoyed each one. The owners were very friendly as well. Will definitely be going back!

The pizza and salad were exquisite. The service was prompt and very friendly. What's not to like--know what I mean?

This place was great. Friendly, with lots of space. Love the fact that the place was eco conscious with organic locally sourced food. The regular pizza I ordered was thin crust baked in a wood oven. I loved that the jalapeños were fresh cut and not pickled. I would have given the place five stars if they offered a non-dairy cheese like daiya. Still, great clean fresh taste, left satisfied!

Man!!! This was by far the most interesting pizza place iv ever tasted. Everything was top of the line ingredients. The pizza is sooooo good. I ordered pepperoni with ricotta and it was the best iv ever had. They didnt put too much ricotta but just enough to cure my craving. Also got a house salad and added chicken. Their balsamic was very unique and fresh tasting. Once again top quality ingredients. Lastly the basil mint tea was sooo delicious. Everything was absolutely magical from beginning to end. And i feel nice and full. I dont feel like i just ate a tub of grease... I think ill take a nap now lol! Oh yea and they are beyond reasonably priced. For pizza like this anywhere else they would charge twice this amount. I really taste the quality in everything and wish they had a location near my house in vegas. The owner is a very nice and sincere lady. She really cares about customer service and goes the extra mile to make sure ur happy. I would Deff recommend this place to anyone. It was absolutely delicious and one of a kind and at the end of the day the food being good is my main concern.

In an attempt to explore the downtown local scene here in Abq, we kind of just stumbled upon this place, and let me just tell you....it is AMAZING! The area it's located has always been quiet when we came, the staff is welcoming, and the food is everything you want it to be, and then some. I've only gotten one type of pizza here just because I can't bare to not get the NM White. You also have to try their homemade creamy pesto ranch!!! Seriously, if you love pizza and love local spots you gotta try Firenze Pizzaria!

We stayed in ABQ last weekend for Valentine's Day and a show (Cirque!) - we arrived around 1 and had a few hours to kill before the show so walked here from our hotel (Andaluz) and had a pizza. Wood fired, cooked quickly to order- total bill $17.70 which is a pretty amazing price to feed three people. We had one drink each (ooh, try their lavendar lemonade, very refreshing) and shared a Quattro Formaggio with (added) basil. The ricotta dabs were perfectly matched to the garlicky goodness - also it was not too much cheese to be soggy, but enough to be generous. My husband makes his own pizza so can attest to the difficulty of making a good, thin crust at altitude, he said it was perfection and he wished he could make pies like these ! Very very friendly service by both employees - wish we lived closer, we would be regulars as there were many other pizzas that looked good too.

Nothing fancy - a long counter, some tables, a lot of open floor space. But notice: the guy turning the pizza dough by hand. Notice: the cleanliness of the entire place. Notice: the smiles and attention you get when you walk in. We grabbed ours to go, but we could have eaten there and been very comfortable. It would have been smart to call the order in, as everything is made when you ask for it - nothing sitting around under a heat lamp - and quality takes a little extra time. We got the Salsiccia, mushrooms, kalamata, ricotta, Keller's sausage, yum, and a gorgonzola side salad. Plenty of food for two people. While we waited we had the lavender lemonade. It was the best, most refreshing lemon drink I've ever had. It wasn't all lemony and sweet - it was a subtle lemon water with a hint of sweetness and a perfect balance of lavender. I had a refill, can't deny it. If I'm in the area I might stop in just for the drink. I'm going to try the pesto calzone next time, it looks delicious - pesto, mozzarella, roasted chicken and green chile. I'm also looking to add some pine nuts and artichokes to my pizza next time I go there. Can't believe I have lived in ABQ for a year and half and hadn't had Firenze Pizza in all that time. I've got some making up to do.

This place was awesome! I got the Piccante pizza and the Lavender Lemonade. I was hoping the Lavender Lemonade would taste more like lemonade and less like tea. Nonetheless, it was super tasty and well worth the money. Reasonably priced, quick service, and great service!

Absolutely love this place! The customer service is great and the food is delicious(: The salads, the tea and pizza are always delivered fresh.

The pizza is good. The service and consistency of hours are not. They seem to be struggling to figure out how to run a pizzeria. The salads are bland and the variety is limited. The space is austere and not super inviting. Half the time when I go half the lights are off even though they are open. They run out of items regularly, even their dough. If it's open and I don't feel like driving I go here but most of the time I don't get that option because they are closed.

So we call it "Downtown". Sure, it's down in the middle of town. But is it truly Downtown? As far as Albuquerque is concerned, we still don't have Downtown. We have a place with a lot of businesses and a fair smattering of places to live and sip coffee and party and dine, but we're missing something big: a grocery store. I keep hearing something is coming, but I haven't seen it. In the meantime, we have a plethora of cool spots to satiate our hunger. Add Firenze to the list. Firenze doesn't deliver, that's a downer. But for the residents of our aching downtown populace, Firenze cooks up a pretty decent rounder. No beer/wine options, but I'm sure they're looking into it. Adjacent to Java Joe's, this is another important inhabitant for the downtown scene and the options are rather inspired, the Salciccia measured up. My overall take: eat this stuff immediately. It simply doesn't satisfy in the microwave a few hours later, which can be said for most artisan pies. The website offers a decent description of the variety you'll find here, including some sweet gluten-free options, so I'll let this describe what I tasted. It's a good spot for kids, too. And the dangling twinkly lights add a fair flair for ambiance. From the website: "Our pizza is not exactly thin crust and not exactly NY style, but somewhere in between. Our dough is house made with a few simple ingredients and always hand stretched. We use only the freshest, mostly organic ingredients and we source local when possible. Our 'Market Specials' are made with ingredients from local farms and purveyors." Organic. Local. Hand-stretched. I'm down.

We love Firenze! Right by the down town growers market - and the nicest dough blend and hot oven that makes this awesome crust. Totally recommend this place.

This was the perfect lunch spot. Relaxed ambience, helpful staff, and most of all amazing pizza. The wood burning pizza stove (you actually see them add more wood to fire the stove when you order your pizza!) gives off the slightest aroma and adds to the chilled-out atmosphere. They serve 12 inch personal pizzas and my friend and I each finished one. We got the Spinacci and the Lobo and both were amazing. To top off the well-made pizza, we got the lavender lemonade. You should too, it's refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to the pizza. There is no reason not to go here if you're looking for homemade, wood stove, high quality ingredient pizza!

OMG I have already given 5 stars to two pizza places in Santa Fe. Then I drive down the road to ABQ and there is Firenze Pizzeria. The pizza crust is so thin and light. The mushroom pizza was extra delicious as well as the Margherita. The ingredients are fresh which adds so much flavor. The lavender lemonade also tasty with just the right amount of sweetness (organic cane sugar). The interior and decor has a very clean look. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.

This review may be a bit long, but I hope you'll keep reading. I've eaten at this pizza 'joint' a few times now and it has become a favorite when I'm in ABQ. The pizza is wood-fired, which adds a crispness to the crust and to the taste itself. The ingredients tasted fresh and of very good quality, even down to the olive oil they use. In a lot of cases, pizza just looks greasy and the oil has no taste and adds nothing. In this case, even the olive oil had a taste of its own that complemented the taste of the other ingredients. The sauce was delicious, with none of the acidity that comes back on you long after eating. I haven't had pizza this good since I left NYC 10 years ago. Service was very attentive. Also, the owners/partners CARE! Each time I've been there, one of them was on premises. In this case, one of them, I later learned her name is Felicia, was overseeing the person making the pizza, who was new to the job. In my case, the first one she made came out a bit 'hole-y', and I heard Felicia tell her to start a new one. She coached her through the use of the cornmeal on which to stretch the dough, and how to stretch it so that it would hold up to the ingredients and cooking. It was almost a mini-master class in making a pizza. It was obvious that the owners cared about the product they served, and taught their staff not only how to make the pizza, but make it with the same care that they would. Last but not least, if you're still reading this review, please review this pizza place, and any other restaurant in which you eat. It is very important to the people who own/operate them. It also helps others decide if they want to try the place. Often times we've gone back to good restaurants to find them closed. Why, because no one knew of them, so no one went to them. If you love a restaurant, tell everyone so that they can try it and so that the business prospers. If you don't like a restaurant, also tell everyone so it dies a quick death.

Was looking for a new pizza place downtown when I found Farina on yelp with great reviews. My fellow yelpers were so right! I tried the lavender lemonade as recommended by many of you, and it was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful and it was very clean inside. I had a classic pepperoni pizza and added green chile. It was amazing! The crust had a perfect char on it, the pepperoni was in huge slices and very flavorful. Very thin crust, perfectly balanced. Strong enough to fold the slices without breaking the pizza. The green chile was also very flavorful and not overly spicy but still great. My girlfriend got the margherita and it was fantastic. The ingredients used here are all local/organic, and the freshness really shows in the flavor of the pizza! We also got an NM white to go which was phenomenal. The garlic cream sauce was out of this would. Very garlicky pizza with feta, green chile, and chicken. Overall, very very happy with this place. The pizza was out quickly. Love this wood fire pizza! Better then baked. Will def be back for more, I think I have a new favorite pizza place!

Walked in and tried the NM White today. Friendly staff and the pizza was ready fairly quickly. A couple of slices were a little blackened for my taste but otherwise the pizza was delicious. I'll be back to try some others.

Firenze recently catered our wedding reception and did an exceptional job. I would recommend their delicious food to everyone!

Really good smallish pies. I could most likely eat a whole one, and roll myself out of there. Or maybe 4 out of 6 slices. Crust had good flavor. Sauce was good. Toppings were fresh. I might like them a bit more heavy handed though. W had the Godfather, and wild mushroom pizzas, both very tasty. Also had the gorgonzola salad, which came in a to go box. We ate in and is was overall a very nice experience. This is a mom and pop business very close to downtown that started as a food truck. Some of the best pizza I have had in ABQ. It would be a great place to go before a night on the town. Not sure about a liquor license, and they do close a little earlier than some places, like 8PM. Atmosphere is very clean, with stainless steel minimalism, Noise was average or quiet.

Wow. ..simple and delicious. ..just the right amount of char on crust (not burned like so many). Dough delicious. .good to last bite. Great small pizza joint!

Stopped by Firenze mobile truck, at Summerfest yesterday. I shared a Lobo Pizza with a friend, and it was the bomb. There is something great about wood fired pizza, that starts with standing there smelling the wood smoke and cooking dough smells combining to increase your anticipation. That the pizza you get fulfills that anticipation is a good thing. The pizza was definitely big enough to share, and the toppings of mushrooms, pepperoni and green chile were spicy perfection on top.

Pre-made salad straight from the fridge. Pizza came before i was half way through salad. Waitress argued with daughter and then a customer who gave them a counterfiet $100 bill. Too much oil and too much cheese on the pizza. Parm and crushed red in paper packets.

Inside isn't much to look, at, but I sure like the food. Staff were very helpful and accommodating, and patient with us when waiting for us to decide on our food. Although they forgot a topping on my friend's pizza, they brought a whole new pizza out for her, fresh, without anyone even asking. I had the Piccante, which was, aptly, piccante. Hawaiian with a little bit of a kick. The mint-basil tea was also very pleasant, with a gentle, relaxing flavor. Really, the only thing Firenze lacks is decor. Right now it has a very plain kind of 50's malt shop feel to it. I'd love to see Firenze redecorated with more of a namesake Florentine feel to it. Would definitely make it stand out!

  • Diana A.

The food is great. The lower rating is from a catered event where Firenze provided the food. It was my daughter's wedding. The guests loved the food however, the woman owner appeared to be in a very bad mood. Several guests reported being spoken to in a very rude manner by her. During taste tests prior to booking them, my daughter told the owner we needed gluten free and indeed their gluten free pizza was very good. However, at the wedding the owner announced that we never ordered gluten free pizza. Members of the wedding party went to Whole Foods and purchased crusts. The owner appeared very annoyed by us. She said we didn't order them but if a huge part of our taste tests involved asking about gluten free options - that might have been caught? This was the main reason we chose them. The food was good. But the attitude was sour.

I was in Albuquerque a month ago for a conference and decided to stop in here for my last meal before my flight home. Wow! What a great decision I made. I had the NM White pizza (Roasted Garlic Creme Sauce, Mozzarella, Feta, Chicken, Green Chile & Roasted Garlic) and a Lavender Lemonade. The pizza was perfect, just the right amount of spice and not to heavy with the creme sauce. I've never had a Lavender Lemonade but it was also amazing. It was the perfect refreshing drink after an afternoon in the hot ABQ sun. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and well kept. I'll be back if I'm ever in Albuquerque again!

This was one of my absolute favorite pizzas in a long time. It's not greasy and the Spinnaci was WONDERFUL! The restaurant itself smells spectacular, thanks to the wood fire stove and it makes a real difference in the taste! The lavender lemonade has floral notes and its delicious. Overall, we loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

  • Paul B.

A local pizzeria with a wood-fired oven and hand tossed dough. Pizzas are one size, although a light eater may want to share one with someone else. The lavender lemonade was very refreshing. Staff was very friendly, knew everyone (except us) that came through the door.

  • Drew B.

Decided to mix it up while we were in town and try some pizza. Called in our lunch order: a margherita and a salsiccia for take out. I was surprised to find the restaurant empty when I got there, but it was a bit early still. The folks working were extremely friendly and the pizzas were ready right on time. Both were exceedingly delicious. One pizza per person is plenty, an two could split a pie for a lighter meal. But for under $10 apiece it's worth getting multiples for the sake of variety. Highly recommended.

Hooray! A great pizza place downtown with parking AND now open in the evening for those of us who live in the area. Great first pizza tonight! They only have one size and the crust is not too thin and not too thick. I will definitely go back. Great taste and ready in 10-15 minutes. My new downtown pizza place!

Delicious pizza! My boyfriend and I decided to try something new for lunch, and we were not disappointed. The smell of pizza greeted us at the door, along with smiles from the staff. The gentleman at the counter was more than happy to provide information after learning it was our first visit. My boyfriend had the Lobo and I ordered the Margherita. There was no trace of the Lobo after we finished our meal, and if I had a bigger stomach I would have finished mine too. The crust was the perfect amount of crisp, and the pizza itself was not greasy but savory and flavorful. We will definitely be visiting the darling pizzeria again!

  • Katy T.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. The pizza's are made in a wood fired oven and are very tasty. One is large enough for two people. They also have good salads and delicious teas. The WiFi worked really well too and was easy to connect to and fast. You will definitely enjoy eating at this place. The decor was very bland, but maybe that's because they are pretty new. Hopefully that will improve.

Excellent! Fresh, crisp, thin and delicious pizza. This is the best wood oven pizza in town. So long il vicino and farina. If you are downtown, eat here. If you are not downtown. Go downtown and eat here.

Best in Albuquerque thin crust but not crispy, salads fresh with scrumptious dressings. Recently attended an event that was catered by Firenze and it was a great success! They even supplied glutton free for those who requested it.

  • Nive C.

While I have only sampled pizza from their mobile oven & have never been to their restaurant - it is seriously the best pizza I've ever tasted----seriously. They have unusual toppings if you are feeling adventurous, and standard toppings as we'll if you're in the mood for a good basic "pepperoni-hold the fancy stuff". I happened to drive by their restaurant the other day - didn't even know they had opened one! I'm so excited to pay them a visit sometime soon!

  • Clara K.

Fresh. Simple. Delicious. They deliver what they say. The not too thin, not too thick dough is a perfect palette for the vast offerings of fresh toppings. Using local ingredients when possible, both the pizzas and the salads are a gourmet delight! The only reason I gave Firenze Pizzeria 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's lacking an outdoor patio and beer & wine license. Good new though, both will be coming soon.

Best pizza in Albuquerque! Great looking place nice location. The pizza here rivals and beats some places in NYC and I lived there my whole life except for the last year. They use fresh ingredients, cook the pizzas in a wood fire oven, and they come out nice an think and tasty. The salads here are pretty good too.

We recently booked Firenze Mobile Wood Fired Pizza for our daughters outdoor wedding which was held in our backyard last month. We heard nothing but great things all evening long about the amazing salads and gourmet pizza's that were served. Felicia and crew ran the operation like a well oiled machine. Professional operation from start to finish. They arrived on time, set up fast and kept the food coming out quickly during the course of the evening. They cleaned up and when they left, the area was just as it was before they arrived onsite. Job well done. Very highly recommended!

Great mom and pop pizzeria! Made fresh and quick. Pesto chicken pizza was delicious and so was the spinach and goat cheese. Reasonably priced and nice staff.

  • Kat F.

Delicious gourmet pizza and salad. We ate everything that was set in front of us and washed it down with some San Pellegrino. Fantastic addition to downtown. Warm and friendly staff. I'd like to offer a gentle suggestion that the owners change the lighting in the pizzeria; the fluorescents are harsh! Not to mention unflattering. Softer lighting would add SO much to the atmosphere and lend the place a more romantic feel. And what about serving wine and beer? Both would be a good way to bolster business.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
