NOMS! Quick eats, good service, and a responsible menu!! A total win all around! Hit this place since it was close by and glad we did. Love that the calorie count is on the menu so it's easier to make a responsible choice. Subs are delish and made fresh to order. When we were given an incorrect order (mayo was on it) the staff remade our order and even gave us a voucher for a free sub next time. Cute kitch on the walls and decorations, clean facilities, and easy location to get in and out of. Parking was a little tight but we don't mind a little walk to work off our subs :). We'll be back!

Really fresh sandwich and really enjoying the low calorie menu. The staff was unusually friendly for Albuquerque and made my dine in experience great. A bit pricey for sandwich and bag chips, but overall, best fast casual sandwich in town.

This sandwich shop is a nice change from Subway, but it's pretty pricey. The food is tasty and the customer service is great. I love their Italian sub! The dining room gets packed sometimes and the tables are really close to each other.

Great tasting subs, I got the Italian sub it was so delicious.

Their salads and sandwiches are HUGE. Ordered a salad to share with my husband and then we each ordered our own sandwich. We could have just ordered the salad though. That was enough for the two of us.

I was weary of a sandwich shop in a strip mall when my boyfriend said I absolutely had to try it... but I was very impressed. I had the brisket and cheddar sub. The girl who took my order was really helpful and thorough. The place was clean, bright and cheerful. The food was great! Better than any other sandwich place's brisket hands down. I was kinda sad when I was full because I wanted to eat more. Definitely a place we will be returning to! This chain is more than welcome in ABQ and should open up more. The sooner the better! Happy eating!

Been anxious to try the place for a while. Not bad, just "Meh". Ingredients were fresh, and there was a decent amount of meat on the sandwich. The mayo had a very "Miracle Whip-y" flavor to it, which was a big turn-off for me. The meat was bland, about as flavorful as Subway. The hoagie roll was also flavorless and devoid of texture. The sub was toasted with the veggies on it, creating a soggy mush that the spongy roll absorbed, creating an overall not entirely pleasant texture to the whole thing. A better way would be to garnish the sandwich after the toasting, a la Blimpie, but I digress. Overall, I'd say "un-inspired" puts it best. Combo comes with one of those miniscule bags of chips they have at subway. Store was very clean; the staff, semi-friendly. I feel full, but not very satisfied. Sorry, but I'm afraid I have to give Firehouse Subs a thumbs down.

I am so happy they came to ABQ. Always went to the one's in San Antonio. WIsh we could get on ein Rio Rancho. Warm subs, tons of sauces and just thicker and better tasting.

I had a last minute lunch meeting I needed to cater for. The general manager put together a sandwich platter for me in less than 20 minutes and saved my day. Thank you!

In the last year i have eaten here [Firehouse Subs] about 3 or 4 times. This time the food was what I expected and I really enjoy their deli Mustard. The bacon didn't have as much flavor as say other restaurants. ..which is disappointing. I had the Club Sandwich. I love the ratio of meat to bread of FH over many other sub shops. But the store was not, nearly as clean as it used to be. Now it isn't totally run down by any means, just not as clean as I prefer at food places to be, where the guests sit & interact. Now, I understand customers are often making messes, and don't make it easy on employees. But when i speak about cleanliness, I am not speaking of day to day messes. [Although, there were some, they were being addressed. I am speaking about long term cleaning. The front area near the sodas was ok, but back in the corners not as much...now it doesn't look Awful gross..but looking run down a bit... Napkin dispensers with multiple rubber feet marks from having another one sitting on out. ..and not been scrubbed clean etc. I admit it has been a few years since I managed a food joint, but I honestly hope a staff member reads this and makes some changes, cuz i honestly like their food.

Awesome quality service! The guy was quick to suggest items & answer questions. Brand is very well articulated throughout the restaurant. Very clean & well kept. The Food was really good, not your typical sub joint. Fresh & flavorful. A must to recommend

This review has been a long time coming. I can't believe I'm actually typing these words but this visit to firehouse subs was an utter disappointment. We have never had a horrible experience here, but this was the exception to that rule. We placed the order over the phone and went to pick it up. Why oh why have I not learned the lesson check your food before you get home? When we got back to the house we noticed that several of our orders were completely screwed up. My mother-in-law called to let them know that they had made several mistakes and all she got was an ear full of baloney. The person that answered the phone was extremely argumentative. He obviously had not taken the training course that even when the customer is wrong they are right let alone when the customer is right they are right.

I LOVE FIREHOUSE SUBS! It really is my go-to for sandwiches in general because the subs are made fresh-to-order and the meat ratio is AH-MAZING! Now the reason why I wanted to write about this particular Firehouse is because of the pride I witnessed in this shop. Both sandwich artists (yes, with the masterpieces they made me they are artists) smiled and welcomed us like we were old pals or something. It was wonderful, but not the highlight of my visit. I really wish I got the guy's name, but it was about 17:00-ish on 8/2/15 when I went in and he was wearing all black. In any case, this gentleman took his time cleaning every table, chair seat, CHAIR LEGS EVEN and the soda fountain area. This man went as far as making the trash cans look so clean, it looks like they just replaced them with brand-new ones! For this attention to detail and the steam flowing off my sandwich, I will venture the extra miles to go to this particular Firehouse every time. I advise anyone else to as well :)

I cannot believe that I haven't left a review for this place, as I'm a regular customer. My kids & I love & consistently crave their meatball sub, which is the best in town (even better than Dion's meatball sub). This place was my daughter's restaurant of choice for her 14th birthday, when she could have chosen any restaurant in the city to celebrate, but she wanted a delicious meatball sub, so she knew this was the place to go! That's the only thing we have ever gotten to eat here, so I cannot comment on the other subs available. They do have a great variety of chips to include Fritos, Sun Chips, Baked Lays, regular Lays, kettle chips, and other varieties. They also have one of the cool pop machines (aka soda or coke) that allows you to choose a variety of beverage flavors that you desire.

Good food. I've been here about 5 times and every single time, they get my order wrong. Every single time. I can't give them anymore chances. However their old sign twirler guy was fantastic. He was the hardest worker I've ever seen. He was out there rain, shine, cold, hot. And was always twirling. Never just standing around or getting a drink, or hiding behind his sign. He was a major assest to the company. The company should have given him free shirts to replace his faded one. I haven't seen him in a while so I don't know what happen to him, I also haven't considered eating there in a while either

Hint: if you want to provoke all-encompassing American empathy, use "Firehouse" or "Fireman" or anything that has any connection to the amazing work our public fire saviors provide to the nation at large in your business motto. And then sell something. People will buy it. I recently met a fireman. He gave me the lowdown on his terribly sub-standard wage. Dude was getting shantytown pay by U.S. standards, and he'd been doing it for years. Go ahead and rant about the benefits and retirement package, you won't find me on your soapbox. These people literally risk their lives for the good of the whole, yet they recoup a pittance for their sacrifice. This adds some ironic flair to my experience at this joint. I asked the guy at the register to recommend the best sub and he pointed me to the Italian option. It was fine. Super thin slices of deli meats alongside my requested veggie options, toasted on a really boring bun. And that was about it, save a bar of hot sauces that I chose from liberally. They provided a hint of flavor that was otherwise nonexistent on the sammich. Firehouse Subs: sub-interest, sub-character, sub-ingenuity, hard to justify as better than Subway. Totally not representative of the over-the-top service of our Fire Brethren. But three star.

I must be on a sandwich kick, I have visited Subway, Jimmy John's and Firehouse Subs in the last week. So here I am, humming down Wyoming when I see this guy twirling a Firehouse Subs sign in his hands, dancing, and jumping up and down. I am slightly amused and have flashbacks of there radio commercials. I had to check them out. I have to admit, I was in a bit of a rush so I did not take in the full Firehouse experience. The customer service was excellent, they took my order with a smile on their face and I did not have to wait long to get my lunch. I ordered a large Italian Sub (same thing I ordered yesterday at Jimmy John's) and that's it. The large sandwich was huge, I'll order a small next time. They do not gip the customers on the meat and everything tastes fresh. I noticed Firehouse Subs has a large selection of sauces, I'll have to update the review when I have a chance to give them a try. I would definitely recommend their subs over any of the chains in town.

Pork and Slaw is grose, the filling was just like barfed spam. But the very worst was the attitude when changing it. Not a fan.

The sandwiches are well made, the ingredients taste delicious and I like that they steam their meat. It really adds a great warm taste. I usually get the Hero sub and of course you gotta love the pickle that comes with it!

My rating is subway then Jimmy Johns then firehouse. I'm not sure what kind of crack they use in these subs but it works.

The chili was pretty good and hearty. Not to many beans and it was flavorful. It was filling and I couldn't eat the chili and half a sandwich. The service was friendly and fast. I will come again.

Good place for lunch or a quick dinner. Loved the firehouse theme! I had the Italian sub which was pretty good. They weren't busy when we were there so I don't know how the handle the rush periods. Still, they welcomed us when we entered the door, readily helped answer all our questions and thanked us as we left. It was a good experience!

True to my predictions the service has improved significantly. The ownership has moved tables away from the ordering line, and the store overall has improved as it matured. Ordering time has been decreased substantially and customers now receive far less heckling upon entry.

This is the best place for subs! The staff are attentive and friendly. They get 5 stars for customer service, food quality/quantity, and cleanliness. The Montgomery Plaza store, however, needs work in the customer service/friendliness aspect.

This is a great place for lunch. Their sandwiches are reasonably priced and taste about 100x better than subway. It took about 5 min to get my sandwich, but it was well worth it. I had the #4 Italian and it was quite delicious. I give it 8/10. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is very enjoyable. Fire equipment everywhere and you can even donate to help out your local firefighters!

Once you try Firehouse, you will not want to step foot into a Subway! Their subs are SO much better, ingredients are really fresh (not "Subway Fresh"--where the meats are pre-packaged). This location is excellent, however, I do not recommend the San Mateo and Mongomery location. The employees there are rude and it's no wonder because the manager is awful. Just be sure to go to other locations and you won't be sorry!

Pretty good. I got the pastrami and it was good. The service was ok. Don't think I would go back though because it was kind of expensive for the portions.

pretty just OK subs... went there only once and got the one with turkey, mushrooms, and swiss.... and when i opened it up and saw that they used canned mushrooms, it pretty much grossed me out... I'm not really sure what canned mushrooms are good for but i'm pretty sure they arent good on these subs or any pizza i have had them on.. maybe if they spent less money on their strange "hot sauce" collection up front they could use fresh produce :(
