My wife was in ABQ for business, and we walked here from the Marriott. The food was good and the price reasonable. I had the gnocchi.

Better than Olive Garden and good for the price but there are definitely better italian restaurants in Albuquerque.

Myself and a friend had dinner there on a Thursday evening. I had the lasagna and it was good. Very filling and tasty. This place would be better than an Olive Garden but not as good as homemade Italian food. The bread served with the meal was really good. Service was pretty good too; however we ate at the bar. One of the first things we noticed was the soft drinks were flat, which seems to be a northern New Mexico thing. Every place offered only flat sodas. (Must be a hippy thing). Next time if Italian is a choice, I would probably stop here.

I have been here multiple times. From the time when it opened I enjoyed their menu until now, not so much. Periodically they update their menu but lately their food has been mediocre. I had ordered their Ultimate Cosmopolitan and one of the pasta dishes. The Pasta was tasty but not something that wow'ed my palette. But the drink was too strong and sharp. I didn't really enjoy it. However, this is a place where it is convenient to have a girls night out, or just dinner with girlfriends without a lot of hassle. Their atmosphere and service is awesome for gatherings and just a dinner with friends. I would say this place is debatable and you just have to try it yourself

Great Italian food (from an italian)

Not bad ... but not impressive. I had the diavallo shrimp, which while good at the time, gave me some serious tummy rumbles later. But, I didn't vomit, so OK, whatevs. The Lady had chicken marsala, which was again, not that impressive, but did the job. Decent wine list, I'll give them that. As far as ambiance, not bad. We sat at the bar, it was good. I will say that the service was prompt, even though the place was packed on a Friday night. They've also got patio seating here, which I would totally take advantage of on a pleasant day/evening.

I loved this place when they first started and it was expensive then. They've just raised their prices AGAIN. For the third time! And they cut back on wait staff so you know it's not even going to the people working. Noooooo thank you! 73 bucks for 3 meals an iced tea and 1 salad THEY LEAD YOU ON TO BELIEVE COMES WITH YOUR MEAL! NO NO NO NO NO! My advice if you go there just keep ordering free sides of marinara and choke on that instead and maybe eventually you'll actually get what you pay for. But seriously not worth it. Service is late and never comes around after you've been served. Ambiance is nice but for 73 bucks I should've had a foot massage with my meal. I joined their mailing list thinking maybe they still had some nice deals oh yeah they spam the hell out of it but no discounts nothing! Restraunt policy is no discounts coupons ect. Whoever owns this place is just out for the money at all costs. And yes I thank god popularity went way down after their price hikes. I mean really who would pay 20 bucks for a small meal and 10 bucks for a tiny side salad. Ridiculous! I would recommend Buca Di Beppo or Mauryas or even little Annitas but never this place.... never again o.0

  • John W.

Horrible. Prices are extremely high for the equivalent portion size of a microwave dinner. Yes they give you bread, but when I was there the waiter never brought any more than the initial three small pieces. I love paying $45 for a meal and leaving hungry. I should have saved my money and bought a jar of ragu. I suggest you do the same.

Good food. Great atmostphere. Decent gluten free menu. No complaints. (3 stars is not a BAD rating) It is a little pricey when I think of what I could get elsewhere. Decent gluten free menu.

I like this place but I often forget to come back. They have a very large selection of Italian foods. I'm in favor of anything with Italian sausage:) They also have tasty drinks of all kinds. Their dessert menu as well as selection of salads could be improved by widening the selection, but what they do, they do well. While it's not one of my favorites, I will be back.

Lunch at 1 pm, not busy so was seated quickly, albeit with some confusion from the two hostesses. Seemed to also be some confusion as far as who was to wait on my table as I had two waiters arrive at the same time and try to take my order. I did notice that there were a lot of people who were being shadowed, so I'll assume they have a lot of new hires. I ordered the chicken caprese and it was alright. I've had worse, but have certainly had much better. Bravo would serve well if you're already in the area and craving some Italian food, but it's definitely not worth a drive across town.

  • John D.

I had dinner with a friend here last night and we both ended up sick mysteriously the next day. Could have been the food at Bravo? Also my server brought out my salad along with my entree that's not the typical order of things.

First let me say, I've been wanting to come here for years but just never gotten around to it, so when it was my husbands and I anniversary, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. Our waiter was really nice and helpful and brought out all our food and drinks in a timely manner (which is awesome). For starters I got the lobster bisque because everyone was raving about it, and I'm glad I did. It was definitely the highlight of my meal. Then when our dinner came out, my husband got the salmon, with veggies and potatoes and I got the shrimp campanelle al forno. The campanelle was good with a lot of shrimp and my husband loved his salmon, but left his potatoes because they were a little too greasy. This place was good but I was expecting a little bit more out of it.

What I remember most about BRAVO was the intense heat walking around Uptown that day. Running on very little sleep and borderline exhausted, naturally some good pizza and ice cold beverages were going to do the trick. So there was Bravo, standing in as a sign from the Pizza gods it was time to have a seat and try some green chili... I think. This is a great restaurant and a great add to the already wonderful selection at Uptown ABQ. Our arrival was met with wonderful smiles and staff and a next to nothing wait. I really like the aesthetic and feel. If you're familiar with the Mountain West, it's got the same feel as BRIO. Nevertheless, we wanted a great meal, and that's exactly what we had. :-) Darting our eyes on the menu for a quick lunch, we ordered the Pepperoni Pizza with Green chili. This sharable perfection was cooked well up and down the pan. The pepperonis themselves tasted so amazing with the green chili. Our server, who also took the time to make recommendations and serve us right away, did a stellar job. I think I will only eat here when at Uptown simply cause I know it will be a great experience. Bravo!

Classy and romantic, yet not snoozy anbiance. Welcoming and very well trained courteous staff made our visit very enjoyable. The food was delicious, waiter was very polite and attentive. We had Chicken Pesto Spaghettini and Chicken & Vegetable Pasta with Pesto. Al dente pasta was perfect and portion also perfect. I must say, if you are starving, you may want to order appetizer, sooup, or a salad. The plate isn't gigantic like the typical plate at any American chain restaurant that was actually refreshing to have one serving on a plate. For dessert, we had molten lava cake, mini dessert trio (Creme Bruulee, Tiramisu, and Strawberry Cheesecake) and kids' sundae for my princess. The trio was to die for!! (but I almost busted my stretch pants by the last spoonful) Enjoyed the visit so much I cannot wait to go back again!

I am definitely coming back to eat here again. This place is single friendly and the food is good! I came here for lunch, expecting that I would have to wait forever for my food and thinking that it would be awkward sitting by myself and that I was going to have leftovers. None of that happened. The waitress was very nice, if I had only ordered a soup and nothing else, I wouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable. Also, they sat me down and let me order food right the way, and the food came out super fast. They also let me order half portion size for half the price. My lunch was delicious and didn't break the bank. (Lobster Bisque and Linguine Bolognese, came up to 12 dollars). This place is great! I wish I tried it out earlier.

Stopped in for a quick bite and drink before the Symphony. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the Shrimp Napoli and shared. Large portion. More than enough for two. Was very tasty. We'll certainly be back. They've never disappointed us. During this time of year the outdoor patio is where you want to be. Perfect weather.

We just had a very good meal. We made reservations and they honored them to the minute, we sat down as soon as we walked in. The service was excellent and the food was very good too. We oft stuffed, but we'll definitely be back.

We were moving my daughter to her college dorm. Googled and found this restaurant. Best tasting Italian food we have ever had in a restaurant. Service was awesome. Great experience. Can't wait to come back to visit our daughter and eat at Bravo.

I love Italian food but I was truly disappointed. Service was good though. Certainly won't be in a rush to return. Decor is similar to average Italian spot, nothing too fancy. Nothing stands out about this place.

  • Kim I.

Although the ambiance and service were spot on- the food left a bad taste in my mouth. My friend ordered the sausage tortalinni and I got the crispy mahi mahi- they both tasted heavily of parsley. The prices are too high for this cafeteria quality food. My best friend likened his meal to "mall food". Trombino's is so far way way better- go there if you want real italian food :-)

  • Nicole N.

Bravo is a great place to go if you are craving bread and oil. That's my favorite part of the meal! All in all their food is good. It's a pretty nice and clean restaurant for the fact that it's a chain. The food is always consistently good, but nothing too amazing. I guess it just depends what you like! For me, it's a little too processed. Though I am spoiled with fresh hand made pasta. YUM I usually have a good experience here with the staff. The waiters/waitresses are usually very attentive and helpful. The hosts/hostesses are usually very nice. I guess the key about eating here and getting great service is hitting it at the off hours. Especially during the weekdays! I like to come here with a small group of my girlfriends. I have been here before in large groups, and that was alright. Mostly just because I didn't like the company. :) All in all a pretty nice place. I will go back, though not too often.

I like the food at bravo, don't get me wrong. Why the3 stars? I deducted one star for the bread. The bread was old, dry and hard. If it's made in house, it should be served fresh warm and soft inside. Another deduction for the star was the pasta. The regular cook must have been off. My usual dish is either the pasta bravo or the pasta woozy. Today I got the pasta woozy with the lobster bisque. I always finish my food but today I left almost half of the pasta dish. It didn't taste right, I ate the chicken but left the pasta and spinach. The sauce was not as good, again I'm assuming the regular chef was off. Reminded me of Ragin Shrimp- where the food is good only when the main chef is working.

  • Shelly M.

Great Italian food! & they support military! I ordered their fettuccine lasagna with their signature Bravo! sauce and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered their Pasta Bravo and he gives it 4/5 stars. Not a casual dress place. And the noise level is very low. It's peaceful. The service was great. We'd definitely go back.

I hate to advertise the happy hour deal because there is only room for 4 tables and the bar, and I don't want to get turned away next time I go. The food deals are amazing. We are talking $4 for like a pizza or a hamburger or shrimp etc. I usually take my kids and family and pig out on the cheap whenever we are stuck in Uptown. (yeah, Uptown food and Yelp get along like cats and electric fences.) This is by far the most enthusiastic review I'll give for restaurants on that square. I have eaten off their full dinner menu as well and had fun. When you pay full price, it's nothing special, but when you pay $4 it's the best damn food you can get! Today I had a chicken bacon and spinach flat bread and a balsamic onion with gorgonzola and portobello flat bread, and shrimp with some nifty tomato sauce, and a burger with more balsamic onion. It was all terrific, and filling. I like the flat bread because it has less white crust and therefore less sugary carbs. All in all, it fed the fam for $20. The downside? The beer selection is archaic. All they had was Blue Moon! And to put it in perspective they're caveat was: "oh but that they were out of the Sam Adams." Really? Sam... that's it? Sam is fine. I'll drink it if I'm hanging out in an airport, for example. But I don't go somewhere to drink Sam Adams or Blue Moon. I go to drink Marble, La Cumbre, Santa Fe etc. Get some Ska in there and you found you a regular right here. We have so many terrific local brews that it really makes me wonder if they're even paying attention to the microbrew phenomenon sweeping the everywhere.

Good place to satisfy your appetite for Italian food in ABQ Uptown. This chain has good food, good drinks, and good service. Parking is a bear though, so be prepared.

  • Skyler S.

Danny was our waiter. Literally the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. The waiter was extremely rude. It was my girlfriends birthday and he acted so rude to us wouldn't even tell her happy birthday. Then gave walnuts to my sister when the dish didn't even have walnuts and she said an allergenic reaction at the table and this Danny could say was okay ill tell them not even a sorry. DON'T EVER GO HERE. Also I had to chase him down to get bread and return the menus myself to the hostess. Terrible service and terrible management.

Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. I highly recommend the shrimp appetizer. I ordered the lobster ravioli----great choice! My husband ordered a linguine dish with spinach---yum! These entrees coupled with the lobster bisque were superb! The bread and oil only added to the experience. The finale was Tiramisu with coffee. Great dinner, so we will be back soon.

This place was great! We stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday during our cross country drive. We didn't arrive until later in the evening but the waitress was very friendly and quick! I had spaghetti and my husband had some other delicious pasta dish. The food was flavorful and delicious! I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who loves pasta!!

Oh gosh, what to do on a Sunday afternoon? My bestie and I drove to Uptown for lunch and some window shopping. We had planned to go to Marcello's, but they aren't open on Sundays... What!? What to do, what to do... Ok, change of plan, Bravo, lets go to Bravo. We walk in and are seated right away. They are serving brunch, so my friend gets an omelet, which seems weird in an Italian restaurant, but she loves it, so who cares. I got a salad with grilled salmon, it was tasty too. Nothing was 'write home about it special,' the service was good, the food was good, the atmosphere was good, the rest of the day was better for having eaten. Bravo is probably a solid 3.5, but I'm rounding up for saving my hungry stomach.

This place is way under rated! 3 stars does not do it justice. We went in at 9:20pm on a Thursday night, so it wasn't busy and service was good. The cooks did a fabulous job and the 5 stars is well-deserved on food alone! We ordered: 8 oz filet mignon toscano- the. most. tender. piece of meat we ever had. Cooked to perfection at medium rare (not under/overcooked). Not masked with butter or strong flavors, and didn't need steak sauce. Can truly enjoy it for what it is. My mom thought it was better than Mortons or any othersteak house for sure. Claimed she hasn't had such quality meat in a looong time. Salmon pasta (capellini)- very light, tasty, and delicious. My mom thought there wasn't enough capellini, but I thought it was a fair amount. All perspective. Pepperoni pizza- I didn't try it, but it's the one thing my patents thought we could have just passed on. Sides- $3.99 to add a soup or salad: Rustica was our favorite- very refreshing, perfect mix of ingredients for a nice flavor Della casa- also good, typical salad Lobster bisque- very creamy; good but not amazing. Out of the 3, I'd go with the Rustica. Overall, dinner exceeded our expectations :)

  • Frank M.

I ordered the lasagna. It was old and hard. I couldn't cut it with a knife. It must have sat under the heat lamps for a while. I was suprised because it was not busy. When I looked at my knife, it was dirty. Well I was impressed with management. He came to our table, apologized and made things right. Our waiter did a great job as well. It must have been a bad night in the kitcken, not sure.

A group of my closest lady friends and I recently went to Bravo to celebrate one of their birthdays. She had made reservations so we were seated right away however it took forever for our waiter to attend to us. I really don't get why a server would not try to make a group of 5 very cute ladies happy? I mean doesn't he know that we can be very good tippers after a few drinks if the service is just right? That was his big mistake. The food alone was good but the service was what really made this review 2 stars. I feel that for the amount of money I paid here I could have gotten better food and service elsewhere. Sorry Bravo but I will only be returning if someone else offers to pick up the tab because this girl is not wasting her money here again.

Went here on my second date with my girl. Very good service and nice staff. The bread was great and so was the food. We both had Sicilian wine and it was very good. Thank you Bravo for making our second date memorable.

  • Jim W.

I had the Pasta Bravo! It was pretty tasty. The grilled chicken was very good, the sauce, mushrooms and other ingredients all worked together pretty well. The atmosphere and service at Bravo were both nice. Other than that my experience was pretty "upscale chain standard issue."

    (3)
  • Omar R.

You gotta be kidding me! If I had the option of giving it zero stars, I would. Talk about bitchy females at the front allowing people to exist in the waiting area. I'd call them hostesses but they would actually have to do something for the customers to earn that notion. God forbid you show up without a reservation even though it's still early in the afternoon and the restaurant is pretty much dead. You might have to wait for a server to show up on their timetable before you're allowed to be seated. Oh, and make sure you're prepared for Bravo's Management customer service reply of "WOW!" when you're expressing your dissatisfaction with their establishment. I didn't know sarcasm was a customer service industry standard? Here's to hoping that this place will close down soon and we can get a real restaurant in its place! It's a good thing Elephant Bar was just across the way.

    (1)
  • Joel V.

The Pasta Bravo is my favorite dish! Their olive oil bread dip is great too! Not bad for a chain.

    (5)
  • William F.

Friendly but sketchy service. The calamari was not good. Both pasta dishes were "chain-mediocre", which is a disappointment considering my experiences here a few years back.

  • Andy B.

I have eaten here a few times, when it first opened it was crazy busy, but it seems to have calmed down a little bit now. My favorite dish was the lasagna (the dinner portion is huge, but I think they do offer a smaller one at lunch). They bring you some focaccia bread and oil whilst you decide what to order, given the size of the entrees I haven't ever had an appetizer and usually will have leftovers to take home. There are a few Italian places in town, but when I have tried them it has sometimes been more hit & miss with dishes, I think Bravo's is pretty consistent and is a fair price for the quality & size of portions/food. They have some good cocktails which I have tried on occasion.

  • Ania A.

This is by far the best Italian restaurant in town. The portions are generous, the sauces are delicious, and the atmosphere is great. I took my father here once--a man who likes very little; he ordered the pork chops and commented on how good they were. That's a miracle! Check out the shrimp diavlo if you're a fan of spicy dishes. The pasta woozie is also a great choice. And if you're in the mood for salad, definitely go for the ensalata de la casa (the house salad)--they serve it with deep fried pasta strips and a creamy Italian dressing; probably the best salad I've had anywhere in town. If you're looking for Italian, this place is worth the drive.

  • Isaiah P.

We have eaten here a few times and it is really good. I haven't been able to try anything else on the menu since eating their signature pork chop dish! That's what I eat every time we come here. My wife and daughters enjoy it a lot as well! We feel this place is a lot better than Olive Garden!

Okay, but not the best. The service was friendly and sincere. The food was mediocre. What we ordered: Crispy Shrimp Napoli (good ~ FREE w/ coupon for signing up on e-newsletter, otherwise $11.99) Frutti Di Mare (okay ~ $16.99) Pasta Woozie (okay ~ $13.99?) Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding w/ Vanilla Gelato (good ~ $5.99) Watermelon Spritzer (good ~ $3.25) Prior to coming here, we signed up for the e-newsletter and received a coupon for a free appetizer. It's definitely worth doing! We decided to go with the Crispy Shrimp Napoli since we could get most of the other items at any other restaurant. It was pretty good. Think calamari with tomato sauce but with shrimp. The Frutti Di Mare was okay. The sauce was very brothy and there was a lot of it. Nothing spectacular. Same with the Pasta Woozie - previously frozen chicken with a few grill marks over a bed of store-bought linguine tossed in alfredo sauce. The chocolate chip bread pudding w/ vanilla gelato was good, as was the watermelon spritzer. Overall, I'd rather spend my money at Buca Di Beppo or CPK for better chain-restaurant food.

    (3)
  • J. Christopher E.

Is a chain, but I was pleasantly surprised - food was very good and they had a good beer selection. I had the Balsamic Glazed Chicken and it was great. We sat outside on the patio. The people I was with had dogs and the staff was very friendly and brought both dogs water bowls. Probably will not go back since it's a chain, but as I said, for a chain restaurant, it was pretty good.

    (3)
  • Taylor S.

Definitely feels like a chain as opposed to a family or one off restaurant although I don't know of any other locations. Food is fine. I got their "Pasta Bravo". I figured that if it was the name dish of the restaurant it would likily be their best dish. It was ok but not amazing. I think everyone in our group liked their food but no one left raving about it. The waitstaff was attentive but not amazing. Really as I think about it pretty much everything about the experience was fine but not great or terrible. I would say that if you are in the area and looking for a place that has a pretty big menu and everyone can find something that they will like, then Bravo is a pretty good option but I would not recommend to people for them to go out of their way to go. Also, don't order their margarita, it was very sub-par especially for New Mexico.

  • Cheri C.

Thank goodness for great company otherwise dinner would have been a total disappointment. Had NYE dinner with the family at Bravo last night and I was reminded once again why I don't go there more often. We paid way too much to be so underwhelmed. I had the Pasta Mediterranean which was flavorless and bland and the portion size was that of a child's. My husband had the pork chops. They weren't terrible but definitely not worth the price. The tortellini my daughters ordered looked like something out a chef boyardee can. I heard the fried ravioli appetizer was pretty tasty but that wasn't enough to redeem the lackluster experience. I could have gone to Olive Garden, paid less, enjoyed the food more, AND gotten a tasty Andes mint at the end. They are accepting applications for an executive chef and I can definitely see why. But folks, it's pasta. This isn't hard. They have the benefit of a great location but you can bet I will choose any other restaurant over Bravo next time I'm in the area.

    (1)
  • Migsy O.

My expectations were low, so it did not disappoint. I selected Bravo only because they are open late. C'mon Albuquerque, get with it. Of course it tasted fine, because it's nothing but poorly-imagined salt and fat and sugar tossed on a plate with absoloutely zero love or pride. There is no chef in this kitchen, just a bunch of under-paid fucks assembling pre-made, frozen crap. The service was par for the course, efficient and robotic, more corporate chain bullshit. They would card your Grandma if she came in for a drink. I won't even bother to describe the dishes we tried. If you are prepared to spend 15-25 an entree and 10 an appetizer, please just go to Vivace. And eat food that someone gives a shit about. God knows you won't find that at Bravo. The restaurants in hell are all corporate chains.

    (2)
  • Jennifer M.

Bravo is great! I love all the pasta selections but the bolognese is the best! Not super impressed with the fish dishes but, who cares, I go there for awesome pasta dishes. The desserts are delish too. The staff is nice, I always get my food in a reasonable amount of time, and pricing is right on target.

  • Paul H.

I did not particularly like this restaurant. I was in a large group, and that always changes things, but on the whole, the food was not very good. The service was all right; I have no complains. The appetizers I tried were very good, I will confess. The bruschetta was good, as was the spinach and artichoke dip. The bread was good too. However, as for main entrées, it was terrible. I ordered the Shrimp Diavolo as it was a Friday (I don't know if it's on the menu anymore), and it was just awful. The sauce had a strange taste, the shrimp was clearly not fresh and poorly cooked. I tried my girlfriend's Spaghetti Marinara and the sauce just tasted odd. I cannot recommend this place. It's possible that other items on the menu are better - the appetizers were good, but for $20 a person without including drinks or appetizers, my goodness, this place is not worth it. Go to Olive Garden; it's better.

Surprisingly good for a restaurant in an outdoor shopping mall. Located in the luxe upscale "Uptown" mall on Louisiana, this place has a great happy hour. All appetizers are half off from 2-6 M-F and beers and wines are $1 off. We tried the Crispy Shrimp Napoli: jumbo shrimp battered and fried served over a bed of delicious tomato-garlicky-basil ragu. Just divine. I was tempted to lick the sauce off the plate, it was that good! But that's not something a proper lady would do...in public at least! The thin crust Sicilian pizza was tasty as well, charred black from the wood-firing oven, it was smoky and savory. The homemade Italian meatballs on top were excellent, precooked and sliced into round disks. My only complaint is that it could have used more cheese! The portions are decent, hubby and I left full and happy, ready to do a little shopping.

It was my first time visiting, I say "visiting" as after the better part of an hour we still had not even been asked if we wanted anything to drink. Watched as another couple showed up 10 mins. after us, get seated before us, get drinks, and order before we were even acknowledged by a server. I understand that the kitchen was busy, but the deplorable service was inexcusable. We ended up walking out, and I definitely won't be going back anytime soon. I heard the food was good tho.

Terrible meal. They came to our table twice to tell us they were out of certain pastas and needed to substitute another. The chicken breast for the chicken parmesan was completely burnt on the bottom. The pasta ended up being tasteless and both the chicken parmesan and the chicken scallopini were overcooked and tasteless. Overpriced for what they serve. There is a Macaroni Grill just a block away... go there.

The service was okay, the food was good. There are definitely worse places in Albuquerque. We spent a couple hours there dining with friends and the atmosphere was tolerant of our lively discussion meaning that we blended in with the rest of the crowd. I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet night out with your significant other.

Service was good. Food was below average at a high price. Go to Olive Garden.

Clean, modern looking italian restaurant with great food. The portions are the right size I believe (a bit smaller than usual) and the desserts are worth it.

Ive eaten here over the last year and have had two big family dinners here for bdays. Always good. Lobster bisque is LOVELY! The house chopped salad is very tasty. I've had a variety of dishes...the Carbonara was wonderful with al dente asparagus instead of traditional peas. Lasagna YUM! Chicken picatta is perfectly lemony, buttery goodness. Last night we ordered two items off the seasonal menu. One was a wild berry arnold palmer. It was scrumpdileicious or however you spell it! The other was strawberry shortcake with Lemoncello cream. O.M.G. Yes that was me licking the sauce off my finger as I cleaned the plate. Service was wonderful as usual. Love this place and often wonder why it isn't busier...it is our go to Italian in Albuquerque.

the boyfriend and I thought we'd have a nice night out, and I was craving lobster bisque, so we headed out to bravo. yes, it was a Saturday night in uptown, but we never expected it to be so busy at 8 o clock at night. we were told the wait would be 20 minutes. the actual wait to be seated wasn't much longer than that, but it was another 30 minutes before a server acknowledged us. and only because she had looked all around and noticed we had no drinks. she was apologetic, but didn't offer any solutions. when we decided to simply leave, she seemed relieved - one less table to worry about, I guess. message received. from now on, I'll simply order my lobster bisque to go.

For a chain like restaurant (at least. it feels like a chain) the food is decent. Service was not great tonight. Sat in the lounge and was tossed a menu. Listened to one of the bartenders complain someone was going home early, then what I wanted. Total chip on her shoulder. Only a half dozen people at the bar yet being attentive was a challenge. Finally someone else came in who was more friendly. Next time I'm here, I will do table service.

BRAVO for Bravo! When ABQ Uptown hit the Albuquerque scene, Bravo bounced along with fantastic servings of delicious Italian food, great staff, and enough atmosphere to do other Italian restaurants under. Lobster Bisque Soup has flavor plus. Mama's Lasagne is served in a dish large enough to bathe your newborn. Eggplant Parmesan is good, and then we come to desserts. If you haven't time for the Italian meal, just order dessert. The presentation will make you take notes and the varied menu will have you on your knees for the recipes. Ask for a box for a take-home addition. Hope I'll see you there.

Food was pretty good overall, waiter was horrible. Slow, kind of a smartass and order was wrong. Also told him it was sons bday and he said "ya and?" So nothing done about bday and we mentioned 3 times. Never even offered dessert menu. We went somewhere else and had dessert.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

BRAVO! Cucina Italiana
