Very nice B&B. We were downstairs. Had a big black tub. People were nice. Very close to old town. Nice breakfast.

Very nice secluded place. The garden is great relaxing area. We stayed in the carol rose room which is huge and even has a sitting area for relaxing..would highly recommend it! We got into town late but the directions were awesome. It's right in old town so you can stroll around. Parking is right across the street- no problems. And did I mention wi-fi, because it's just a nice option even when your getting away from it all

The building doesn't look like much from the outside (which is very much the trend in the area) but the inside is lovely. The proprietor is super friendly and seems to take great joy in discussing the local food and entertainment options. Perhaps a bit too much joy, actually, but we certainly ventured out into the evening feeling well-prepared. The price is a little steep but the location is great and the decor was a welcome change from the run of the mill hotel. Breakfast was great as well. A bowl of fresh fruit and granola, good coffee, and a unique quiche were a great start for our day.

Great place! We stayed here for five days for a family reunion. The place has a lot of character and charm. The hosts are very knowledgeable about area attractions and things to do. Breakfasts were wonderful. The location was perfect!

We just completed a 5 day stay here. Steve and Kathy were welcoming hosts and we had several interesting conversations. The house was built 100 years ago and has been a B&B since 1989. The Hiatts have owned it about 6 1/2 years. It's described as a Victorian Bed and Breakfast but they are in the process of changing the names of the rooms and the decor, scrubbing away the Victorian frou-frou. Our room was on the first floor and was spacious and comfortable. Kathy hypothesized that it had originally been the kitchen. It had a large bathroom w/ a spa tub. There is free wifi throughout the house. Our room had no suitable desk (although the Route 66 Room off the parlor does) so we set up the laptop in the breakfast room whenever we wanted to use it. There is another laptop set up for guests who haven't brought their own to use. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent. We had dinner 4 nights at places they had recommended. Steve cooked breakfast in the morning and it was both tasty and filling. They have several of their recipes posted on their website. The first three mornings we had breakfast outdoors on the side patio w/ views of their lovely garden and the birds visiting their bird feeders. After the torrential rain a couple of days ago the next two breakfasts were inside in the breakfast room. Teas from the New Mexico Tea Company were varied and tasty and always available. Freshly baked cookies were available in the afternoons, although I'm ashamed to say I didn't taste one. Often all that would be left were white chocolate chip, which I won't eat. Last night I noticed the double chocolate chile cookies (as least that's how I think I heard them described) but it was almost 11:00, too late for that kind of thing if I want to sleep. We would definitely return to Bottger Mansion the next time we're in Albuquerque. Free parking is available in designated spots in the parking lot across the street.

The St. James Tea Room was sold out the day after Christmas, so my relatives and I thought we'd give this place a try; so glad we did. It's not a full British tea, like the St. James. It's more of a luncheon, but the food was delicious, and the two varieties of tea we were served were also tasty. The B&B is run by a married couple. Both were friendly and welcoming. I can't speak for the B&B end, but if you're in the mood for tea and the St. James is sold out, I highly recommend the Bottger Mansion. There is plenty of paid parking across the street, so don't let the Old Town location scare you off.

Excellent stay. My mom and I stayed here while visiting my brother. The WiFi was fast enough for me to use for work, the innkeepers were sweet and full of recommendations and friendly chatter. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. I liked the Keurig with cookies available at any time for snacking on. Room was clean and comfy, jug of cold water on the night stand was a nice touch in the dry winter months. Highly recommended!
