This is place serves excellent authentic and suburbanized Chinese food; and now has Japanese Sushi bar on the premise. The restaurant makes their BBQ Pork and Ribs onsite that are comparable to the best Chinese Deli in San Francisco's Chinatown. Overall the experience reminded me of the famous Tommy Toy's in San Francisco's Financial District where I got both great suburban dishes like Crab Puff, Shrimp Toast, and authentic dishes like Cantonese style Chow Mein and BBQ Pork. I would highly recommend Hoy Yeung to anyone who is too far away from New York or Philadelphia's Chinatown as an alternative. .

Great food, the owners run the sushi bar and kitchen, my wife had the general chicken and it was home made, there was talk of a secret recipe that the sushi chef had to go into the back and make, my daughter had asked for a special roll and he made it then asked her to name it LOL, the "boo roll", sushi was wonderful and I will return anytime the family wants.

Coming out to Live in South Jersey from NYC was a great move saving money in so many ways. After being exposed to NYC's top sushi restaurants I was certain I would never find great sushi in S. Jersey. This was all true till a friend of mine (Hollywood) introduced me to Hoy Yueng in Hammonton, NJ. At first I was very skeptical, however, all that changed real quickly. The owner/chef (Bill) was very pleasant and funny. I started out with the "Big Momma Salad". The texture and quality was 2nd to none. You know when the sushi is fresh and 1st grade coming out of NY. I had bill make me 2 of his "special" sushi rolls. Everything from the rice to the Avacado and fish were outstanding. I would definitely be back and have been back numerous times. The place does not serve any alcohol or beer but you can BYOB. Trust me if the sushi was not good I would not be going to this spot several times a week. The staff and owners are super friendly and inviting. They really work so hard and have a passion for this place. They are closed on Tuesdays so don't make the trip there on Tuesday's. I am a little shocked but some of the negative reviews but then again people are people. If you know sushi, love fresh grade A sushi, this is the only place to go. Now if you're in NYC try Nobu or Sushi Samba. In Long Island, the best and only place to go is Kotobuki. Hope this helps some of you Yelpers find that sushi place that hits the spot. I know I have. Banzai!!

I'm only rating this place on the sushi lunch which was just ok. Nothing special about this place, I've had better sushi in south Jersey. Maybe the Chinese food is the focus and they added sushi because it does feel tacked on. I might consider giving this place a chance for the Chinese food but with Best Food in Town around the corner I doubt it.

This place is slipping . Sorry to say it but it's true because they're nice people. When your IN the restaurant you wait way too long for food because the owner /chef simply talks too much. When you order delivery you're going to wait if the owners wife isn't there. She seems to be the glue that keeps the place together. I once waited 45 minutes PAST the delivery time and was told the delivery driver "forgot" to take my order. That was B.S because I've kniwn that guy a long time and he doesn't forget ANYTHING. Seriously disappointed they laid that on him. After that, I went in with my nieces. The waitress was obviously unhappy in her job, was rude and inattentive. There was really no one in the place and the service took forever. Silver seemed annoyed when I asked for dipping sauce for one of the dishes. More recently, I placed an order for sushi and baby bok choy. I received 4 phone calls back that night regarding my order and the bok Choy. It turned out they didn't have any baby bok choy. So I asked if they had any adult bok choy, (humor) put me on hold and had to ask. They said that they didn't have any bok choy and that baby bok choy and adult bok choy for the same. LOL I couldn't help myself. This is your cultures food and you don't know the difference?uh ok As usual my order arrived late. There is obviously a new driver because it was not the person who normally delivers to my house. For a $23 order I tipped him seven dollars. It was quite cold out and the air was crisp you seem like a very nice kid. I got my food into the house, my bags reek of cigarette smoke. Not just stink but Reeked! Both of the plastic bags he handed me or beyond disgusting and coated in smoke. The lid to my sushi smelled like smoke as did my chopsticks. The Brown paper bag that held my 2 quarts of white rice. Also reeked of cigarette smoke. Needless to say, I was livid. Quite frankly I think this is my last straw I called the restaurant to speak to the owner to let them know that their food was being delivered in such a manner. Again I know the other delivery driver and he smokes too, but not in the vehicle when he's delivering. I have never smelled it when he's brought my food.I left my phone number and my name. Speaking to the owners daughter I was told I would get a call back tonight or tomorrow. That has never happened. They are wondering why her business is declining they need to improve things internally first. Part of the problem is the kids take the order but don't listen because their friends or girlfriend is usually they're distracting them. It's kind of sad that this whole business press on the wife's shoulders. Everything here used to be so good. Now it is nothing special. Sorry to say...

The best sushi in town!!! Friendly staff. Bill, sushi maker is very entertaining. The sushi is very fresh and made to order. Some of my favorites include spicy tuna, red Dragon, bagel and Boston roll. Do not be fool by the dated atmosphere this is a great place for sushi in Hammonton. Oh, did I mention it is byob and it conveniently is located next to liquor store?? Cheers.

The sushi is subpar for a place that advertises it as a specialty, the service is hit or miss (we once were left waiting for takeout we ordered 40 mins earlier, ultimately walking out after being assured the meals would be ready any moment to no resolve), better place only 5 mins away....

The staff is pleasant, but I've had better sushi in a mall food court.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
