The Turning Point Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I love the environment and the service is great the first time I came (not too great the second time around)!! The prices are affordable as well!! I selected the lemon blueberry pancakes again because they are delicious!! (I also think I order blueberry pancakes everywhere I go for breakfast lol) my boyfriend ordered the western omelette , he enjoyed it!! My only real complaint is they don't have a turning point where I live!!

I gave it one more try. I had to. Admittedly it started out as a nail-biting experience from the minute I sat down. I was already beginning to plan for what I would have for breakfast after I left The Turning Point hungry. Thankfully, it was perfect. Eggs, potatoes, absolutely perfect, and the first time! No sending things back, no waiting for replacements, just a delicious breakfast. And I must once again compliment all of the staff here. They are all excellent. Probably some of the best restaurant staff in any restaurant I have been in. I hope that this is the beginning of a delicious relationship. Up one star for a great experience. If it stays consistent it would be my pleasure to bump it up to 5.

AMAZING!! Great for kids and adults. Service is amazing, even when the place is packed. Try the Hawaiian French Toast and the "Berry Chocolatey" pancakes. A great variety of coffees, hot chocolates, and teas. Download the NoWait app and put your name in before you go, saves you time, and you can check where you are in line. If you are in the area, definitely try this place.

Only open til 3 great brunch food. The menu is very fresh and has some healthy selections. Prices are a little high but the food is worth it. I never seen this place without at least a thirty minute wait so be prepared to wait for a table.

I had brunch here with a good friend of mine and my fiance when we were in NJ for the 4th of July weekend and the three of us absolutely loved it! My friend had visited before and I trust her judgment so we decided to give it a shot. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is friendly and efficient, and the decor is homey but doesn't try too hard. The menu offers many different options, from omelettes to pancakes to sandwiches / burgers. I decided to go with the Lobster Benedict, as it had my name all over it! It came with bacon, avocado, generous pieces of lobster, tomatoes, and a hollandaise sauce. SO DELICIOUS. All of the things I love in one dish. As if it wasn't enough by itself, it also came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a fresh cup of fruit. I was in absolute heaven eating that benedict. I'm a huge fan of seafood benedict dishes (I'd previously had oyster benedict, salmon benedict, and crabcake benedict) and lobster was a perfect combination. It was also very fresh and light and didn't upset my stomach, as eggs sometimes do. My fiance ordered a Roadhouse Stack sandwich (Double stack grilled cheese with a smokehouse aioli, jack and cheddar cheeses, thick crispy bacon, caramelized onions, avocado, tomato and baby spinach leaves) and loved it as well. My friend ordered blueberry pancakes and they were such a generous portion that she took some to go as well. My friend also ordered a frappucino and it was so beautifully crafted and presented! My fiance also ordered some coffee and they brought out the french press right to the table. Color me impressed. If I'm ever in the area (Brick / Toms River), I'd definitely consider visiting again!

The food is great, but the service is awful. I have come back solely based on the awesome menu, unfortunately each time the service is sub par. If you can handle a long wait to be seated and an inattentive wait staff, you won't be disappointed by the food.

  • Yianni C.

Insanely long wait time , poor service, and sub par food for the price. Just copy paste snippets from all the 3 star and below review sand you will find a true representation of TP

Good food and nice atmosphere makes this place a good choice for a Sunday brunch. Their coffee is great too.

On our last visit my girlfriend went in to get us a table and I ran in to the store next to it to pick something up. My girlfriend was told they would not seat us until I was there so she was prepared to wait when another customer was seated as one of a party of two. When my girlfriend confronted the hostess about it, the hostess was rude and did a poor job of explaining her self. At which point my girlfriend called me and I decided that we would no longer dine at the Turning Point again! Good food does not make up for poor service!

What can I say? 5 stars for sure. From the moment I walked in until I leave. Everything was great with awesome customer service. They sure knows how to make their customers happy. Their latte is on point with 4 shots. Don't drink t too fast tho. The lobster Benedict is well worth their price. I couldn't help t but went 2 days in a roll and got the same plate. They have small touches that earn the five stars from me. If I ever pass by I'll make sure I'll come back

Ahh the Turning Point. One of the few places that has consistency towards it's food and service. I've been coming here quite often usually on the weekends to enjoy some breakfast. The morning can be hectic and busy, which leads towards anywhere from a 20-30 minute wait. If you don't mind waiting, this place is for you. The inside decoration and ambiance remind me of a beach home. All of which contain light colors and a sea themed trinkets lying around as decoration. BUT the most important aspect aside from decoration is how clean this facility is. The bathroom is very clean, and that is a great and unusual indicator that the restaurant itself is very clean. Oddly, the coincidence to clean bathroom and overall facility go hand in hand with each other, and that to me is a plus. Now, the most important piece of this review, the actual food itself. Before I even order a main dish, I always end up getting one of their french press's. They have a great selection of coffee, which I usually stick to the African beans, such as the Kenyan AA, other ones such as the Hawaiian, I pass. I'm not a huge fan of flavored coffee, but their selection is nice. So coffee gets an A+ in my book, it's way better than ordering "coffee," from who knows what beans they get it from. If I'm feeling like a man and ready devour a ton of food, regardless of my diet. I order the Ranchos Los Huevos, as it's probably the largest meal they have. It's a mish-mash of potatoes, sausages, peppers, inside a tortilla topped with an egg. It's delicious and filling, but also extremely "carby," except of the eggs. They have plenty of other clean eating options which is another thing I applaud about this place. Overall, the service, food quality, and price are great reason to keep coming to this place. Which is why I continue coming here on the weekends, because the food and staff are good.

I LOVE this place. Always great food, excellent coffee, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Not much more you could ask for. The colossal BLT is fantastic as are he breakfast skillets and French pressed coffee. There usually a wait so come early and or consider sitting at the breakfast bar.

  • Craig R.

Good food, good service and I would recommend this place for a nice breakfast. The only draw back is the sometime never ending line of people waiting to get in.

  • Stacey F.

Love this place! It's very charming and pleasing to the eyes on the inside. What a perfect place for weekend brunches with mom! Love their French press coffees and that they let you take it to go if you don't finish it. There's often a long wait, no reservations. There's coffee for you while you wait. There's not much room to stand and wait, and you feel in the way. But it's well worth it! They close at 3 PM. I haven't had the best takeout experience here, but I am more than happy whenever we eat in. I just love the Monte Cristo and the Cosmopolitan salad!

  • Kristiana W.

I absolutely love the Turning Point. I come almost every week now. I am so happy that I was able to find a place that takes such pride in their drinks. Brick is really lacking places that have fabulous coffee selections. I really love the French presses, friendly staff and delicious breakfasts. The only problem is that they aren't open all day!

One of the most consistent restaurants in Ocean County. I'm not sure how the kitchen operates, but from a diner's perspective it seems to be organized and efficient since food comes out very well-made the majority of the time. There is a certain charm to every recipe and menu item that cannot be found elsewhere. Whether you are craving a gratuitous dessert in the form of uniquely-crafted waffle or French toast dishes or a very palate-able healthy alternative, Turning Point has you covered; all of it is prepared with quality and noticeably fresh ingredients. Typically great service and a cozy atmosphere round out the package that makes Turning Point easily the best lunch/brunch spot in the area. It is a definite step-up from the typical IHOP or diner option.

This is my first time here. Nice place. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I had the Hawaiian French Toast with sausage. Fantastic! I'll be back when I'm in the area or one of their other locations.

  • Tamara S.

This is a really great place for breakfast. The food is delicious, and the portions are huge! The service was excellent, and we were able to eat outside on the patio. It gets super crowded (we went Sunday)... so get there early if you can. The waitress was super helpful in helping decide from a large selection of excellent sounding choices. She suggested I order an entree and a single pancake to try. I had the breakfast burrito, and a lemon blueberry pancake. It's not explained on the menu, but you can order just one. You can also order half sandwiches, if you want to try two rather than one. Very accommodating!

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday Here's what I think GOOD-atmosphere is great, menu is creative, food taste great, service was great BAD- the Wilbur skillet I ordered was very dry, I should have gotten eggs over easy to yolk it up The bacon taste really really weird RUINED MY ENTIRE SKILLET DO NOT GET THE BACON

  • Jessica R.

This reminded me of being back in California beautiful food presentation great service and I loved how it was decorated! It's a great place to go to breakfast. Better then a dinner and great pricing! They also have healthy options which is golden! I'm looking forward to going when it's warmer to sit outside

Went here the other morning for breakfast with my husband and our two toddlers. We had an excellent experience. The coffee was great, and they leave the carafe at the table so you aren't waiting around for a refill. My husband had the banana smoothie, which he said was delicious. I had an egg, potato, and veggie skillet which was so good that I cleared my whole plate. My husband had the pumpkin French toast, which tasted just like fall. The kids had pancakes and French toast with fruit. We left feeling very satisfied. Our server was very polite and helpful. It's definitely a little pricier than a typical diner breakfast, but that's because it's a much better quality meal so you get what you pay for. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I arrived at The Turning Point at around 2PM on a weekday, and had to wait a while until someone seated us, but after that, everything went smoothly. I was happy to see a lot of Vegetarian options on the menu and ordered the Tostado Bowl ( I think it was called.) It was a warm Quinoa salad with grilled and raw vegetables and a side of greens. It was very well seasoned and surprisingly complex. My partner had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which came with chips and salsa. His only complaint was the thickness of the tortilla used for the wrap. Otherwise, he really enjoyed the dish. I recommend The Turning Point. The restaurant is spotless, the menu appealing, the food better than anything I've eaten in this area. The dining areas are airy,well-lit and simply decorated. Try this place and you will be pleasantly surprised.

This is one of the best places i have ever eaten breakfast/ brunch in my whole life. That is alot for me to say. They freshly roast their coffee beans every day and trust me it is delicious. I had the chocolate chip pancakes and they are amazing. So if your reading this and thinking "If he says The Turning Point is so good then why did he give it four out of five stars?" Well, I gave the best place ever 4 stars because the wait is unbearable. I waited 1 and a half hours just to eat breakfast. But is well worth it.

I went here for a late breakfast with my girlfriend and was very impressed. I had the Grande Huevos Rancheros and the portion was HUGE. If I had gone any earlier, I probably would not have been able to finish it, but I definitely would have tried because it was delicious. She had the bruschetta omelette (a summer '14 special menu item) and this portion was also very big. The price was a bit high. For two people to have breakfast and coffee it cost about $30 including tip. The service was excellent. Our waitress stopped to check if we needed anything at least 3 times over the course of the meal. The other high note of the meal was the french press coffee, which was brought out to the table. The presentation of everything (especially the french press) was very good and contributed to our overall enjoyment of the meal.

The service is greats and the place is clean ... However menu is a bit small ... Breakfast is good but would not recommend for lunch and majority of people are senior citizens ...

Grabbed a quick lunch the other day. They turkey chili and the vegetable wrap were excellent. Try the ice tea lemonaid!

  • Tara F.

Really love the food here however it is a bit more pricey than the average diner. Most meals are a la carte so it adds up which is why i gave 4 stars. Way better than the diners in the area and the food isn't greasy and weighed down like most diners. Good portions. They have healthier choices on the menu for both breakfast and lunch. Super clean and bright and sunny on the inside. :)

  • Rob M.

This place is fantastic! The food is always amazing and fresh. This is the best restaurant around for breakfast or lunch. They have premium coffees and teas which taste delicious. The chai tea latte is the best. We have never had a bad meal here. The prices may appear a little high, but it's well worth it. The portions are good and as I mentioned the food is fresh. There is a wait at the prime times of the day, but seems to move fast. I can't say enough about this place if you haven't tried it yet definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Very accommodating service. Food was fresh. We had the yogurt with bananas. We will return and try other menu items.

  • Joanna C.

Must get there early to get a seat. Breakfast is good but have not had much luck with lunch. Think they are understaffed and are busy. Prices are a bit high for being an finer diner. Fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious but not worth waiting for.

  • Ed D.

Just had breakfast there. Staff very friendly. Decor nice. Limited menu choices and most items are ala carte. The food very bland and overpriced. I had the Tuscany omelette; sausage, spinach, roasted peppers, and fresh mozz. The mozzarella was not folded into the omelette it was one small piece melted on top. My wife ordered the Garden frittata, this had a little more flavor because of the Feta. Would I go back, not sure, did not receive a good meal for the price. Breakfast for two $30.00 including tip. I have been here before and ordered the juevos rancheros should have ordered it this time as well

Call ahead seating worked well and the waitress greeted us soon after we sat down. She took our order for 6 (3adults & 3children) and our drinks took a bit longer than most other restaurants but not that big of a deal. However waiting 50 minutes for our breakfast to arrive was a joke and to boot two of the orders were not accurate. We did enjoy the atmosphere and French press coffee however the poor service and long food delivery brings my rating from a 4 star to a 2 star. Service needs some attention at this restaurant.

Had to wait about 45 mins for a table, but we were glad that we did! I ordered the corn bread french toast. When it first came out, I thought the portion seemed small and didn't really look super appetizing. But I was wrong on both. It tasted incredible and was filling. My boyfriend had the Wilbur skillet, which was equally as delicious. Again - didn't look appetizing, but tasted great. Cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of seasoning. We shared a french press of Hawaiian Kona coffee. It was pricey, but was smooth and delicious. We will definitely be back!

Great food and great service. The perfect brunch location. Can be a wait to get in on the weekend but what else would you expect when the food is this good. Worth the wait. Where else can you get real French Press coffee and a selection of REAL FOOD, not fast food. Would highly recommend to everyone...

This is one of the best diners in NJ, a state known for its diners. Despite the shorter hours for this diner, everything is good. They claim to make every recipe from scratch and I think that claim is true. Everything tastes fresh, and good, even the coffee which is their own house blend roasted for here, and it's quite good. FOOD: I've gotten the OMG FRENCH TOAST, and it was decadent fattening goodness. The wheat bread used made me feel a little better about eating French toast that is covered in syrup and bacon and pecans. But this dish is delightful. I enjoyed it and have ordered it three more times since. Each time it was just as good. I have gone with no less than 8 different people to eat over a months time, and everybody has loved their food. The food is well above average, and very good for a diner. With portions, that are large enough to be satisfying for not so large to me to be intimidating. The portion sizes are within that gray range of 'just right' to me. SERVICE: The servers are American and very friendly and are glad to talk to you about the any of the menu items. They are communicative and friendly and eager to help. My one critique of the otherwise excellent service, is that it takes a little while to get your check when done. But this is a very minor gripe and I actually prefer that they don't rush you out. PRICE: Prices for beverages and food are the same of what you'd expect to pay at any diner or IHOP. So no surprises here. $10 is the average price for a plate. And unlimited coffee or tea is about $2.5. They also have single origin French press pots available, which is uncommon for a NJ diner and look quite good. But are prices you'd expect, $6 for a carafe. And that's a little out of my budget recently, but I've heard from friends that it's well worth it. :) OVERALL: I have no complaints. The place is clean, with great fresh food, excellent service, and good coffee. Which puts it leagues ahead of other diners in the area. I would go here over IHOP and I enjoy IHOP breakfast. Now understand, I only come to these type of places for breakfast foods. My friends too. So I can't vouch for their lunch or dinner options. But breakfast is definitely one of the best in the area. Also try Mariner's Cove in Brielle for an excellent diner. RATING: Five stars. If you're looking for a great breakfast, you can get it here. Everything (food, service, price) line up for a pleasant and satisfying visit.

Our server Tricia was awesome and the pastrami sandwich (a limited time special) was perfection! I hope they keep it on the menu as a regular item! Went in at around 1-2pm new years eve and only waited 15 mins

You don't get much better breakfast/brunch/lunch place than the Turning Point. I've been to this location in my hometown, the one in Pier Village in Long Branch and the one in Hoboken. Brick lacks the views of Pier Village, but their service, quality of food and relatively quick wait times are awesome. The Hoboken location needs an upgrade - its sloppy and dirty. TP's specials make each visit unique, and they also have a rewards card for frequent diners. Come alone and sit at the counter for the same great food and service. Don't tell my mom, but sometimes I only come home on the weekends to see my dog and eat here.

Excellent place to have breakfast. Friendly staff and fantastic food

  • Caroline A.

Let me start by saying that the food at the Turning Point is fantastic. But unfortunately it's nothing compared to how incompetent some of the staff is. Being a party of five I know that the wait will be longer, however while waiting for our table we were watching two hostesses stand behind a counter, texting, while there were multiple open tables unbussed. Being in the restaurant industry I know that their job is to help the waitresses along, and since there were two of them this shouldn't have been a problem. But neither one of them picked up a single plate off any table. On top of that, I watched them turn a large round table that can fit at least six into a four person table and sit two or three people on them while tables that can sit four go unseated. I went to the bathroom and I saw a bunch of servers and what seemed like a manager just chatting casually in the kitchen. Like nothing more important is going on, like their company isn't losing business. We ended up waiting 1 hour and 20 mins when we were told 45 mins to an hour. This establishment is totally unorganized. Not once did I see a manager come around and help or anyone trying to make sure things are running smoothly. I can say that after we sat, our server did very well and again the food was phenomenal, but they need to get their front end on the same level. We came on January 1st and If their goal for 2015 is for this to be their best year ever, they are probably not going to succeed.

So...after leaving San Diego yesterday afternoon, we finally arrived at Newark International Airport around 2:30am. With the airlines wanting to charge you more and more for less, we were starved to say the least. After taking care of a few errands, we stopped in at "The Turning Point" to grab something to eat. The Turning Point is a Breakfast/Lunch/Brunch type of joint. It sits off of Route 70 eastbound in Brick (just down the street from the Motel we're staying at). There weren't a lot of folks there. In fact we were the only ones there at first, then a couple other parties came in. The establishment itself is brightly lit by natural sunlight (windows all over the place). There is a small counter for a couple customers, there are a couple patio rooms with about four or more tables each, and then the main dining area has about 5 or 6 good sized tables. Natural plants all over the place. And hard wood floors (which I love). Service was quick and friendly. June had the "Stuffed French Toast" which looked awesome. There were a couple slices of french toast with mango, strawberry and blueberry in the middle. It was topped with what looked like freshly made whipped cream and there was a side of strawberry sauce reduction. It just looked great, and June concurred. I had their "Basic Skillet" which was country style potatoes with Monterey Jack Cheese melted all over it and then eggs cooked to order on top. A side of sausage finished my order. My meal also was very good. The food was good, I'm giving them the fifth star for their cleanliness, atmosphere, and their customer service. We'll probably stop back at least one more time before we head back to SoCal. Bon Appitite!!!

This place is amazing!! It should be a definite stop for anyone in the area as they turn out a breakfast that is unmatched by anyone else around. They put together delightful combinations of eggs (skillets), pancakes or waffles. Nobody in the party was disappointed by the selection or the actual meal. The other nice thing is, while you can order regular coffee which comes in a carafe in plentiful proportion, they also have a fantastic selection of special coffees that they serve in a french press, brought right your table! Try the Kona, it's a delightful coffee. You are sure to enjoy this breakfast delight!!

I have been to this place twice, both times I enjoyed the fresh fruit platter and the omelettes. I drink my coffee black and the quality of the brew was excellent. I like the fact they leave a pitcher of ice water on the table. Service has been excellent both times I have been here. But it was mid-week and not very busy.

My favorite breakfast/brunch place and its great its BYOB for mimosas. The service is always good and the food is consistently good at all of their locations. They dont take reservations (but allow a call ahead) so expect to wait a bit especially on the weekends.

  • Danielle Elyse L.

The food was great the first time I went there, but the last couple times the eggs were a bit dry and the sauce wasn't as tasty. So I switched it up and got a sandwich instead and it was great! I am not much of a coffee drinker, but their house gourmet coffee is amazing! And I love that they send you home with a cup if you ask!

Turning Point of Brick is a great addition to the area. Same menu as the other locations and same great food. When you're feeling like something nicer than the diner, Turning Point always makes an excellent breakfast spot. There's a nice outdoor area with a trellis roof, so come summer there looks to be some good outdoor seating. Turning Point closes as 3pm, because there only a breakfast and lunch place. I reccomend calling ahead on the weekends to have them save you a table. Otherwise you may have to wait a while as they get pretty crowded.

  • Brandon J.

My wife and I go to this place a lot for breakfast. The food is always consistent and nice, but the wait to get in is usually a pain (if you go sun morning especially). They also need to do a much better job of cleaning their utensils and glasses, they are almost always dirty.

    (4)
  • Brigid F.

The atmosphere at this place is really nice and the staff was extremely friendly. They have a nice, diverse menu that even the pickiest eaters would be hard-pressed to complain about. The problem is, everything was almost devoid of flavor. I had chili and the red pepper/bean dip and, with the exception of consistency, they tasted identical--completely bland. My husband had one of the skillet breakfasts and it wasn't even seasoned with salt. I don't know if it's this location (LOTS of senior citizens around here, which would explain the lack of seasoning) but I was definitely unimpressed by this place. Definitely not worth the 1/2 hour wait. If I'm going to wait that long, I'm going to Mariner's Cove in Manasquan.

We were back in New Jersey visiting family and we tried going to the Turning Point last time but it was too busy but this go around we not only ate there once but did it twice and had a great experience both times. I'd recommend going during the weekday as the weekend lines can get pretty long. Great selections of breakfast foods as well as lunch items and the prices are very reasonable too. Cool atmosphere too.

Got here at 9:30 and they were packed. Was seated in less than 15 minutes. I had the plain waffle which was crisp outside and fluffy inside served with warm maple syrup and a side of delicious crispy bacon. My husband had the healthy omelet which was egg whites, shredded spinach, tomatos, and goat cheese, served with crispy potatos and a side of fresh fruit. The service was perfect and the food was amazing. Everyone was friendly. Would definately go back.

There is no wonder this place has 5 stars. They truly deserve it! This is now my go to breakfast place. They have lots of different breakfast option both healthy and fattening and they are all spectacular! My new favorite meal for now is the huevos rancheros. Yum! My friend also ordered the Hawaiian French toast which was delish. Needless to say i will be back many more times. Call before you go. They let you put your name on the list. I waited 5 min during a 40 min wait!

    (5)
  • Lee W.

The wait was long on a Sunday. The waitress seemed to have had a problem seating us. There was more of us than the room available at a table yet she told us to sit there when the bigger table was clearing up? Too busy or didn't care? Nothing really stuck out on the menu for me, but I guess that goes for most breakfast places. I was craving Eggs Benedict but they didn't offer salmon though. It was good but not necessary out of this world.

  • Bob T.

If you're going with more than a party of 4, don't even bother calling ahead. Even though we called in 4 hours ahead of time, when we showed up, we still sat around for 45 minutes and table was still not ready. I don't care how good the food is, if you can't stand by your promise to customers, your establishment isn't worth a dime.

  • Mary M.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Prices are high compared to other diners around the area but this place is different and worth it. There aren't many good quality places in south jersey so it's good to have a place where you won't be disappointed. I might say this Turning Point is better than the one in Hoboken! I will be back.

Where has this place been all my life? Just got back from our first breakfast there after reading about The Turning Point on Yelp. It really lived up to the positive reviews and then some. The drink selection is amazing: lots of mixed virgin concoctions with fresh fruit juices and coffee combos. Husband had a chocolate shake and loved it. But I skipped the great drinks to save room for the food - and it was a wise decision. Shared the popeye skillet: potatoes, spinach and selected poached eggs, though you can get the eggs anyway you like. It was divine. Had ordered the becche e banana French toast, but waffles came instead. I would've been happy with the yummy looking waffles but husband insisted in the right dish. That too was a wise decision as the French toast was possibly the best we've ever had: strawberries, banana, blueberries and a few small scoops of vanilla mascarpone with a warm strawberry reduction sauce. Describing it does not do it justice. Our friend had the western omelette and said it was good, but didn't rave like we did over the skillet and French toast. The service was exceptional and we dined al fresco on this cool early summer morning under a canopy. Can't wait to go back for blast or try lunch.

Stopped by here for a late breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with this place. Plenty of tables and a comfortable restaurant setting (including a fireplace) were a welcome sight. The French press coffee and stuffed French toast were both delicious, completing my happy, sunny Saturday morning. I would definitely come back here, or one of their other handful of locations, again!

Friendly staff, seated quickly on a busy morning for breakfast. The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is great, lots of repeat customers were there, joking with the staff. They keep a fresh pitcher of water with lemons on your table. I really enjoyed it!

This place is great, it's very clean and relaxed environment. The staff is very professional and friendly. The food is not your usual diner breakfast food, it has a healthier spin. They have awesome Eggs Benedict.

This place is excellent for breakfast. Just recently visited this cozy place (feels like you're in a home) for Sunday breakfast. The KONA coffee was amazing. I can never drink black coffee because of it's sourness, but this is the 1st time I was ever able to drink it because it was THAT good. The food is simply as good as it gets. The lobster benedict is wonderful. The sauce can be a little more flavorful but it is cooked just right. The fruits are fresh and so is everything else. The service is good and the menu has something for everyone. The portions are just right, not too little, and not too much where you need a doggie bag. Prices are reasonable. Lunch is also great here as well. Looks like they worked on a perfect menu that offers something for everyone.

This is a 5 star place for breakfast and coffee. Reason for 4 stars is it takes too long to get seated and for not offering dinner. Note: They have an amazing assortment of fresh coffees.

This place feels like a cozy home inside. They have a great menu. The lobster eggs benedict was great! I wish they were open later than 3 pm.

The food and coffee here are wonderful. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Really like anyplace that offers soup and half a sandwich. Service was friendly and our server checked frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The decor is relaxing and clean. The restrooms are very clean. Only issues: Overcrowded waiting in the small lobby area and the rather high cost of everything on the menu.

The place is really nice and clean and staff very nice but not what I expected the menu is weird the bacon is gross, the eggs are served with scallion in them and what place don't sell French fries??? Will not go back!

I've been here for both breakfast and lunch. The food is excellent and the portions are huge. The menu is pretty extensive offering both the regular items, plus vegetarian options and low calorie options. The servers are all very friendly too. The only negative is that I don't think they take reservations, so the wait can be very long (45 minutes), especially for a weekend brunch. You can call ahead for a certain time, though, which I recommend. It'll cut your wait time in half. In the warm weather, they have a great outdoor patio to sit outside.

Met a friend here for breakfast, was not impressed. I was a diner waitress and manager for several years and couldnt believe the lack of common sense customer service. We were seated and almost ten minutes went by before we were even acknowledged, and it was by a bus boy. He asked if we needed coffee or something while we were waiting, he was a young teenage boy, but apparently the only one with any job sense. He assured us someone would be right over, well 5 minutes later the server begrudgingly came over, reeking of cigarrettes and asked what we would like.. we ordered and also asked for a glass of water. The water never came, 20 min after we ordered we still hadnt received our eggs and the server never reappeared to refill our coffee.. finally the food came, it was good.. we finished and 20 min AFTER we finished eating our server came and gave us the check.. just plopped it down said here you go and left... not "can I get you anything else? How about another cup of coffee? Can I get you the bill? NOPE.. she walked past, plopped down the check and left. we never did get the glass of water.. and we only had our coffee refilled once because when the bus boy came to drop off our food we asked HIM to get us more coffee.. Its a shame..good food, but the service soured the experience..

Ok not great. Good coffee decent eggs but the rest of the menu is not prepared very well. It is also overpriced for what you are getting. Service however is pleasant and professional.

Great breakfast stop! Be prepared to wait on weekends. My father loves this place and we meet him there since it is halfway between us. Go with an appetite. Very friendly place and well staffed.

Great joint! I'm a huge fan of the french press coffee. If you're a coffee lover, like I am, your destiny is to go to Turning Point for the french press. The service is great; it's a really good spot to check out. I've been here multiple times in the last two months. It's right around the corner from my office and my co-workers and I are hooked.

My daughter and I wanted to try the Turning Point in Brick. When we entered the restaurant, I thought it was decorated nicely and looked clean. When we ordered the food we had small problems such as the toast not being toasted like I had ordered but that wasnt so bad. When I sent it back, the waitress never brought another like she was supposed to so I asked where the English muffin was. She said its cooking. But how long does an English muffin take to toast? She finally brought it back and it was greasy and burnt on the edges so I couldn't eat it or find her since she just dropped it off and left. And, this was brought back when I was done eating. Anyway, the breakfast we ordered was awful. It cost me $30 for two small breakfasts. I thought the kitchen was a big problem with the food being awful. The potatoes were too dry and some were overlooked, some were not. The eggs were fine. Anyway it ruined our fun out for lunch and we won't be going back. The waitress also shorted me $10 dollars and I had to wait for the correct change amount. The waitress was no where to be found with all these problems. Oh, and my neighbor months ago, told me that it wasn't good eating here.

the waiter suggested eggs benedict marsala. instead of it being like a typical layered one. The ingredients for all chopped up and cooked together the only flavor I could taste was bacon it consumed to whole dish. at least it's byob fo at least it's byob for mimosas

Get here in between the breakfast and lunch rush on a weekday and you'll have the place almost to yourself. But any time you come, the food is delicious and incredibly creative and unique. The eggs Benedict are probably the best I've had anywhere. I have only had one visit during which the service wasn't exceptional, and even then it wasn't bad, just ordinary. Very clean environment with a bright, cheerful, and elegant ambience.

I'm not convinced by New Jersey's obsession with The Turning Point. First off, no mimosas? Automatically a three star rating for a brunch establishment. And regarding the food, I've never been wowed by my meal here. I actually find the food to be very straightforward (i.e., I could have cooked it myself) and bland.
