Still pretty green in the ways of organization, but I think it will pull through. Plenty of options for the finicky diner. 3 crust variants, plenty of toppings, salads, and what I will try next time. Tofu! The quick casual pizza place is the newest trend in eateries (that and Charcuterie boards). You can pick things like Pizza Ranch, Pizza Rev, etc.. Really not too distinct. The decor is a bit loud, think Jimmy John's annoying writing on the walls. There are some TVs located throughout. One was displaying Fox News. Nobody wants to see that when they dine. Depressing. Another kept looping a commercial for Maddio's. Really? I was already there. I did not need to see it advertised as I was through the door. Decent beer selection and friendly staff. (yep, they are young kids mostly) Cholula, srirahcha, parmasean shake 'ems. One of the wonder Coke machines that ensures you get just a bit of whatever was the last flavor through it. Still, I will be back. Good value. Just a bit out of the way for me. Pro Tip: avoid the plain garlic bread. not much flair and a bit salty

What a surprising place! I didn't have much expectation. Thought that since it was a chain, it would taste mainstream. However, I'm very surprised! They use locally grown veggies. I ordered the jerky chicken pizza and it tasted great! The chicken was well seasoned. The veggies tasted fresh. The service was quick! I'm so glad to have found this place.

Very fresh and delicious. The wait time was surprisingly short for such great food. The staff was friendly and welcoming Will return.

The best pizza I've had in a very long time! The whole wheat crust is the best! So many different combinations to choose from. I will for sure be returning in the near future when I need my pizza fix.

Delicious pizza! Love the ability to customize and create your own individual pizzas! Great paninis as well. Very nice atmosphere inside too.

Walking in uncle M's has a tradition subway style setup order point A choose toppings pick up point B. Line was quick food took about 5 min semi busy Thursdays afternoon. 2 12" pizzas 1 a signature pizza other create your own 3 topper ran me 32$ a bit pricey for 2 MED pizzas! The crust was awesome thin n crispy it didnt hold on to well to heavier toppings (chicken sausage, Italian sausge, shroom) but hey even deepdish has its problems! The buffalo chicken pizza was delicious, uncle Ms has a variety of toppings and sauces aswell as dough salads sandwhiches. For family dinning I'd recommend other places based on price but for a couple or maybe date its ok. Overall food is good atmosphere casual 4/5

Apparently the owner won't let the staff turn down the music to an acceptable level so I'm forced to scream at the people sitting across the table from me. I want to converse with those joining me for dinner. If he wants to open a loud themed bar fine but that's not what a pizza joint should be. The ordering process is overly complicated and I wouldn't have stayed but the people I was with already ordered. We asked about the music volume again and were told if we continue we would be asked to leave by the manager.!?!? I've read similar complaints and the owners response is to not come back. Perhaps the owner doesn't realize that it is a service industry business and the service is sub par. The food was very good but I'll never eat in again. Carry out only IF I go back.

If you are a fan of Zios you will love this place. Zios was my favorite NY pizza place in Omaha but I say was this place has it beat by leaps and bounds. Much better price, awesome variety in pizzas, and a great make your own selection.

Great gourmet quick service pizza place! I had a veggie pizza and was impressed by the number of options for toppings. Husband had a pizza and thought his meaty one was good. They also have a Coke Freestyle machine which is always a bonus. Overall, the place was clean and staff were friendly and quick and didn't skimp on topping. Will return! It's not your typical pizza place but more of a gourmet option.

Great pizza, the big max is a meat lovers paradise! Service was solid, they messed up in the olives but rectified and more than made up for it.

Well uncle Maddio's Pizza did not disappoint again! As usual the staff was so friendly and helpful and willing to make my husbands pesto portabello mushroom with anchovies added pizza! Just the thought of this pizza makes me nauseous but hey he really liked it! He said he thought they did a great job and I got my traditional usual pizza which as usual was great as well! Not often you can go somewhere and keep getting great service and terrific food each time! Thanks!! Micki J

Pizza was great. The service was not. Also: there was a kid (huge fake diamond earrings) that was wearing gloves and was touching the register, then touching the food, same gloves. Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

My first experience was A+. What stood out most was the friendly outgoing staff. Toppings were clearly fresh and delicious. Ordered the blue cheese and steak pizza topped with spinach, balsamic, and tomatoes. Amazing! Pizza was out in 10 minutes. And they serve beer.

This place is awesome. Lots of fresh and somewhat unique ingredients (as well as some classics). A fairly good size gluten free section of the menu. Lots of freedom for customization. A good amount of healthy alternatives on the menu as well. Reminds me of Chipotle. Not to mention they got some good beers on tap. This place is legit and well thought out.

OK I am going to try again. (My review got canned--no bad words, no meanness, no use of people's names and no irrelevant comments...and no explanation.) Look, I wanted the place to be great. (I had been looking forward to this coming to Omaha) But all I could think about was the last "Chipotle" style one like this I dined at--one that I would literally PLAN on going to once I got off the plane in DC and be willing to walk blocks from the Metro for! I just couldn't find the value or excitement at Maddio's. So in summary this is what I said: 1. Pricing seemed high for the overall atmosphere, amount of food etc 2. The pizza was just OK...(and this was a comment I found in almost every review from coast to coast) One lady said it best that there was "something missing." 3. I didn't like the TVs dominating the atmosphere. Here is what I liked about the last "Chipotle" style place I dined at: 1. Funky and cool atmosphere without TVs 2. More mature staff and friendlier. 3. Pizza came out hotter, faster and way more flavorful, and they gave you recipe ideas, fun combinations kind of like Coldstone Creamery. 4. Drinks were fun--bottled sodas etc. and I believe they had bottled beer too. Shawn S, I am 100 percent with you---Thanks for trying to bring this to Omaha. I mean to help make it better. But please check out the pizza place on H St in Washington DC. to see what I am talking about. In order for the novelty of the conveyor/chipotle to work it has to be WORTH standing and waiting for. I am sorry I just could not find the value here. What prompted me to write the review was a very, very rosy OWH review that totally clashed with my own experience.

I stopped in this afternoon to pick up an early dinner to reheat later. first of all I loved the place's vibe clean comfortable and very welcoming ( they welcome you too and let me tell you anyplace that's about me and my future pizza experience with them i'm about that too some places here in town can learn from them) , you can tell the neighborhood has embraced them as well they should- with the love letters from the little tykes proudly displayed on the wall by the register. The servers/pizza makers were so friendly and helpful to walk me through their ordering process but gave me time to decide . the menu is impressive. if you want to exercise your right to make your own pizza, they make it easy for you! the thing I love is this menu is FRESH food, lots of veggie options and you can SEE the fresh veggies piled in the cooler window, and Uncle Maddios has gluten free and whole wheat crust options. with the specialty pizzas they give you a $2.99 side salad option and has spinach and chopped mixed greens along with the fresh veggies to top them. I suggest the red wine vinaigrette. I didn't even think I LIKED red wine vinegar based dressings so I got it on the side and dipped in a spinach leaf. it was DELICIOUS and perfect with the fresh spinach red onions and cucumber slices I picked to go with. poured the cup on after that then hoarded the rest intending on getting salad fixings. the pizza and cheese breadsticks reheated really well. I got the Max which was meatball ( personal favorite) Italian sausage pepperoni and bacon. for some reason me and bacon pizza just doesn't sound appetizing. I blame that other chain commercial parading bacon crusts until it just doesn't sound good at all. they happily subbed ground beef for me. the toppings were first rate. I liked all of them although that Italian sausage was just DELICIOUS. the meatballs and pepperoni and ground beef were a close second but I enjoyed every bite- the crust was nice chew and flavor.. the toppings were plentiful- sauce had good flavor as did the cheese. the cheese sticks were also very tasty.. great herb blend with the cheese and I really do like their crust. I did have leftovers of pizza and sticks.. I did take home a cannoli. I've had terrible cannoli experiences - apparently Omaha takes their cannoli seriously.. its about time i moved to a city that takes pride in the food they serve! the cannoli shell was fresh made and i didnt see them piping the filling in but it had to be recently because the shell stayed crisp.. it was only in the fridge an hour or so and it was fine.. its a chocolate chip cannoli.. great filling/ flavor. two meals fresh.. under $20 and I even ate my spinach.. in general very pleased with Uncle Maddios.. Delicious!

The food is great, I created my own pizza and everything about it was good. Since they've opened, I have been here 3 times now. In the beginning, the service was a little slow but over time they seemed to have it figured out now. Sounds good for dinner tonight!

Went looking for non-dairy cheese topped pizza and wasn't disappointed. Attempted to call in an order but no one answered. We live nearby so we decided to investigate. This pizza place is similar in style to chipotle where you walk down a line and name your preferences as you go. The man at the front of the line was kind enough to tell me if I was avoiding dairy I should avoid their traditional crust but that the whole wheat was dairy free. Greatly appreciated ! They have many toppings including my favorites; brocolli, artichoke, sundried tomato, spinach as well as the usual pizza toppings (even tofu !). Despite a long line and a busy dining room (which looked fairly comfortable and clean) our pizza came out quickly and with friendly service. I give the pizza a solid A. For reference whole foods daiya topped pizza also gets an A, Yias Yias in Lincoln gets an A+ in flavor. Uncle Maddio's gets an A+ in service, A in flavor/consistency. I will definitely be back here with my family soon.

We've been here a few times since they opened. The pizza is definitely good and there are tons of choices for toppings. You get three toppings for the same price. On all of our visits, the food has come out fast. I think once they have been open a little longer, they will work on some of the kinks that exist in service. Side salads are great, but skip the "breadsticks" which are just a pizza crust with a ton of seasoning on it. We will be back---very family friendly and a quick, relatively inexpensive place to eat.

Love the concept and service was great. Unfortunately the pizza fell short and the restaurant was really loud. Thai salad was good but I like good pizza too much.

First time and won't be my last pizza was very good. It is a order at the counter place where you can specifically make your pizza to your liking. Place kind of reminds you of a qdoba/chipotle setup where you build your own pizza. The prices were a little high, but not unreasonable. Service was quick and friendly. Overall good.

Loved the gluten free pizza! However they aren't ready for prime time yet in terms of service. The couple we went with got their pizza about 45 minutes late. They went back once and the manager said they accidently burnt it. They wait 15 more minutes - no pizza. They go back to the manager and he says he forgot to put it in. We eventually get the pizza, along with some free desserts and a couple of coupons for free pizza. Will go back, but may wait 3-6 months while they work the service kinks and management out.

AMAZING! I can count on one hand the number of restaurants where I can safely eat after all my food allergies set in. Even if I didn't have allergies, I would still eat this pizza! The gluten free crust is crispy and delicious, along with the ooey gooey vegan cheese and the kind of generosity with toppings you would make for friends. I have to be gluten free AND casein (dairy) free. This was really holding me back but Uncle Maddio's has Daiya mozzarella vegan cheese!!! WOW! This was the first pizza I've had since going casein free and oh man did it hit the spot. Thank you so much, Uncle Maddio's for having a gluten/casein free option in a safe allergy free environment. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about allergies, combined with the delicious food I was in heaven. Best of all no adverse reaction to the food :D I'll keep coming here again and again. TRUE LOVE! PS. There's also a buy and bake at home option yay!

We ordered a spicy Italian pizza and a Santa fee salad. They were both great. The pizza was very crispy and full of toppings. The salad was huge and full of goodies. When you walk in you order then sit down and they bring your food to you. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We went to the restaurant next door the first time we came because we thought the line was people waiting to be seated. The line moves very sickly and the food is worth it!

6.99 for a build your own pizza! I ordered their bbq chicken pizza. Chicken, bacon, bbq, corn, red onion, cilantro, and cheese.

I tried Uncle Maddio's with my mom yesterday and we loved it. We got two signature pizzas (The Greek and Southwest Baja) and they were both great! Service was fast and all the staff was friendly and welcoming. At the food line, the staff member explained the ordering process and what ingredients/options they have available. One of our pizzas did get caught in their oven so they had to make a new one, but the staff came over right away, told us about the issue, and offered us a free order of cheese breadsticks or cookies. Since we had actually already ordered cookies, we opted for the cheesy breadsticks which were actually shaped like a slice of pizza and absolutely delicious! Lastly, their cookies were amazing. You can get them warmed up. Mmmmmm. They tasted fresh and oh so delicious. Pros: Crust was one of the best I've had (plus, options of white, wheat, or gluten free), great service, clean prep and dining space Cons: Music was a little loud in the lobby Will definitely go back!

My son and I have been here twice now, and the overall value is very good. Service has been good both times, too. My son is a "plain cheese" kind of pizza person, but he likes to get the kids pizza with bacon here for some reason. Odd? Maybe. Delicious? Quite. On my first visit, I ordered the Steak & Blue, featuring olive oil, mozzarella, blue cheese crumbles, grilled angus steak, roma tomatoes, garlic, spinach, fresh basil and balsamic glaze. When it came out, the toppings were beautifully arranged and all of the flavors worked really well together. I am not usually a huge basil fan, and I was fearful that it would be too much, but the balance of flavors really worked well. This was also good eaten cold straight out of the box in the fridge the next day! I would order again. On my second visit, I ordered the BBQ Chicken with zesty bbq & tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella and cheddar, grilled chicken, bacon, red onions, corn and cilantro. This pizza wasn't entirely cooked; very gooey in the middle and floppy to boot. However, staff visited the table after a minute or two, and without giving me time to complain too much, he had another pizza made to my liking. I loved the toppings on this pizza but was not a fan of the bbq and tomato-basil together. This pizza was too "busy" for me overall, and I will probably order something else in the future. Between visits, they seemingly ironed out a few processes. On our first visit, I didn't notice an ordering system on the line; it may have been there the whole time but our entire order was keyed in at the actual cashier station. So on our second visit I was somewhat confused because everything food-related was entered at the computer closer to the line, and then the information transferred over to the cashier station and we got our drinks and paid there. It was confusing. Another example is takeout boxes. On our first visit, we had to ask for a box to take our leftovers home. On our second visit, there were plenty of boxes available on the drink station. Although staff are delivering the meals to the table a la Panera Bread, they are also working a prep line a la Jimmy Johns. It is an interesting mashup of fast, casual restaurant concepts, but it seems like they are working out some of the bumps to increase efficiency. Overall, I think Uncle Maddio's is a solid Saturday afternoon lunch out with the family. Kid friendly and wallet friendly; I likey!

LOVE IT!!!! The Chipotle of pizzas!! Make it in front of you and it's out about 5 min later. Excellent pizza with a thin crispy flavorful crust loaded with tons of fresh ingredients! Huge personal size. Great value! Make your own individual for $6.99 with 3 toppings and .50 for each additional or specialty ones for $7.99. Tons to choose from. Gluten free options. Vegan options. How fun, will definitely be back soon!!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
