The Cake Gallery has an excellent reputation and having tasted their cakes at work events, it was a no brainer to come here when I needed a cake for my own special occasion. To keep it simple I ordered an almond flavored sheet cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. I found a picture of a fleur-de-lys online that they were able to replicate in silver, black and white. Beautiful and delicious!!

I don't live in Omaha, but my family does. When we have a special event, I usually order from here. They are always beautiful and delicious! But this weekend, I ordered a graduation cake (a month in advance) and it wasn't good. The cake was full of air bubbles and not moist. The fondant was rock hard; we had to break it with a sharp knife. It didn't serve well on the plates at all. It looked like the icing was used to make up where the cake came up short; thin here and thick there. Nothing like we're used to from the Cake Gallery. BUT it was graduation weekend. I guess they were in a hurry to get their orders out. Or maybe the lesson is, don't order from here during times where everyone wants a cake at the same time. It was nice to have a place to depend on for a good cake. But next time, I will weigh out other options first.

The cake tastes wonderful! Some of the best I've ever had. The last few cakes I have ordered have came out with sloppy decorating... Needless to say I have been trying other places

I just ordered for the first time here and was very impressed with the outcome of the cake. It was exactly what I had in mind. The cake was delicious as well and very moist. I had a lot of compliments on the cake's look and taste, and people were asking where I ordered from. Very good experience with staff as well.

I have had a number of cakes here throughout the years and have always been impressed. They did our wedding cake back in 2007 and did a great job. Where they really impressed me was when they did a cupcake cake for my daughter's first birthday party. The theme was a very hungry Caterpillar. I sent them a picture of what I wanted any duplicated it to a T. I thought the prices were very reasonable, $2 per cupcake and they gave us a free smash cake. The cakes were great and the decoration a big hit too.

My family orders all our cakes from here, including the cakes for my wedding. The cakes are always beautiful and they can put just about anything you want on a cake. They have done some truly awesome designs for us! The cakes are also delicious and reasonably priced! I have found them to be really easy to work with, both when ordering my wedding cakes and just when ordering basic birthday cakes.

Recently went to a wedding where the cake was done by Cake Gallery. It was honestly some of the best wedding cake I've ever had. Their wedding cake was around $280 and was a three-tier cake. It was supposed to be enough for 50 people, but there was a lot more left over and the couple kept the top. It was white butter cream frosting with red accents and butterflies cascading down the front. The flavors were a delicious whipped raspberry and an incredible chocolate carmel. I am not even a fan of chocolate cake, but this was divine. It had a ring of three filling and the carmel was so good. I would highly recommend the Cake Gallery for other events.

Just bought another champagne cake for a friend. I made myself sick by eating 6 slices of cake! I don't have a sweet tooth but there is something about their champagne cake that makes me want to keep eating.

OMG these cakes are so good. A little pricey but worth every cent. You are paying for quality! We got our wedding cake (3-d Guinness glass) and a few birthday cakes here and have NEVER been disappointed. I would never hesitate get an products from the cake gallery.

I ordered a cake from Cake Gallery in Omaha, NE and they did a bad job on decorating the cake so I returned it to them and got another cake that was displayed in the glass counter. I complained to the owner and told him that whoever decorated the cake did a bad sloppy job and the cake decorating was rushed looking. The owner thought it was a beautiful cake and it wasn't and he did not even apologize to me. I will never go back there again. The owner was rude to me.

Parents had their cake done here so went here first. Tried it and fell in love. Not to mention, our designer was Naomi and she was amazing to work with. While I only had a vague idea and not 100% sure what I wanted for my cake, she somehow knew exactly the right questions to ask and came up with a gorgeous, unique cake that I was confident no one else had ever had. She even gave us suggestions on how to decorate the hall for the reception! She could easily be a wedding planner so, if you need ideas for that - she'll be well worth every dollar you spend. Also, the cake, the cake was just amazing. I never went anywhere else in town because we fell in love with the cake and knew this would be it. For frosting - I highly recommend to anyone to try their Almond Flavor. Even if you don't think you're an almond fan, give it a try! And, btw, they do cakes for more than just weddings.

I would love to have loved it! I read the nice reviews on yelp and other websites and decided to go there... I chose one of their small cakes from their bridal cakes collection The attendant was quite helpful and the cake came out just BEAUTIFUL as in the picture. I had such a big expectation, based on the reviews and on the aspect of the cake, unfortunately the champagne filling was scanty and the cake was not moist or tasty as they claim it to be. Still, it was supposed to be for 8 people but I guess it would easily serve 15. Anyway, I will freeze the leftovers but I don't think I will want to eat it anymore. Disappointed. Editing... I did freeze the cake and tried to eat it... Awful :( Then, I tried to make a trifle of it - not edible at all. Threw all away and it was my beautiful anniversary cake :(

The one and only time I've been here was absolutely awful. They're located just outside my neighborhood, and I decided to stop in to support a locally owned business and see what their stuff was like. I was looking for something for my toddler, but she's got a nut and egg allergy. I understand that makes it hard to find food for her, but typically people know their allergy information or have a print out available. I talked to the girl working counter, who was really nice and helpful. She narrowed it down immediately to one thing, and the problem occurred when she brought the owner into the conversation by double checking an ingredient with him. He seemed agitated right off the bat, which was pretty weird considering it wasn't that big of a deal for him to simply answer her question with a "yes" or "no" and then he could move on to something else. After he was done being rude to her right in front of me, I asked if I could buy a small amount of frosting. It got pretty uncomfortable really fast, and all I wanted was to not leave empty handed. Like my 2 year old is going to care that she was getting some frosting without a cookie? She'd still be stoked! The girl at the counter looked to the owner to see if I was able to buy frosting, and that's when he rolled his eyes. He seriously looked right at me and rolled his eyes. Ummm? I'm pretty sure I haven't done that to someone since I was 15.. And here's the thing- I could understand being irritated if I'd walked in on a Saturday and was being demanding and rude (or taking up a lot of time), but nope. None of those things, and I was the only customer there. I was so shocked that I started laughing when I got to my car. The 1 star is pretty obvious. Treat your staff better, and on top of that- as an owner, you're really going to roll your eyes at a customer? REALLY? Between his teenage attitude and treating his employees poorly in front of customers I'd say: Professionalism, he's got it down.

I am a wedding coordinator and have ordered all of the cakes for my clients from The Cake Gallery. The service and attention I've been given has always been excellent and each time the results exceeded my expectations. Naked wedding cakes have been trending for the past year or two, but when I called all of the other bakeries in town for estimates, the other bakeries had never even heard of a "naked" wedding cake. The Cake Gallery not only knew what a "naked" wedding cake was, they specialize in them and the naked cake they made for me was absolutely gorgeous. They really make a point to stay up to date with new wedding cake trends. I would highly recommend The Cake Gallery.

We ordered three cakes for our wedding from the Cake Gallery last October. The main cake was a traditional tiered wedding cake in which we had our own topper. The second was a sheet cake since the tiered cake wasn't large enough for everyone. The last was my groom's cake which was Mr. Met. They did a good job on all three and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a cake for a special occasion.

I'd give them 5 stars but have REALLY found the service to be lacking, EVERY time I have been in. I suppose, if you are really good, and really popular, do you have to be nice? Not so much, i guess. Every cake I have had here was great. We actually got our wedding cakes here, after trying almost every bakery in the city, they won, hands down. They have loads of flavors, for fillings, and can make you a really unique cake. We even asked them to copy the design from our wedding invitation onto the grooms cake. They did a great job. Since then we have had birthday cakes, cookies, and cupcakes (so cute) and they have all been great.

The cake I ordered for my son's baseball team was exactly what I wanted and ultramoist. The teammates and parents loved it and I will definitely order from The Cake Gallery again.

The cake flavor was good -- that's why I went to them. BUT...the cake did not look like what I ordered. Lots of $$ for not so much "bling". If I had to do over, I'd order a very small "pretty" cake and two sheet cakes to serve.

Our wedding cupcakes were awesome, they were a hit with our guests BUT our wedding cake itself was so ugly did not recognize it was supposed to be a Stanley Cup. Both my husband and I play hockey so we had a themed wedding. One guest thought it was a grecial urn, NO design whatsoever to make it look like the cup. The bowl on top was crooked and fell over on its own with one piece cut from it. We left it at the hotel to be thrown away. A HUGE waste of $675.00.

I began to go to this bakery for cakes about ten years ago for their ultra moist cakes that they're known for. The first few times I went, the service was great and they made beautiful and tasty cakes. The last few times I've been there, it has definitely been a different story. This cake store has now become my second choice and I only go there if my first choice, or a new cake shop I am going to try is closed and I need a cake right away. Here's the scoops: 1) The last time I got a cake here, it was supposed to be a Hello Kitty cake. Okay. Everyone knows Hello Kitty is PINK. The cake looked like it WAS pink before they had it sitting in the window where the sun made the color faded. I wonder if they ran out of pink and just didn't want to make or get more. Really? Very bad first impression for my Hello Kitty Cake. After I saw this, I was like I probably will not come here to buy another cake again especially if they screw up the color pink. Who does that? 2) Went there to order a cake because the other cake place I was going to order from was closed. No other choice. Cake gallery was open. My daughter wanted a themed cake of Tangled, and since it just came out, I figured I would bring in a picture to see if they had any design like it. Walked in there, and asked the lady if she could make a cake that "looked" like it. She said she had to check because it was a copyrighted image. Ya, I KNEW that and told her I brought the picture in JUST IN CASE they didn't have a premade tangled cake. Geez. Well, of course she told me she couldn't make an edible image of that. I didn't say I WANTED an edible image, but she thought I did. She made me feel as if I was STEALING something from her store! Yikes! Anyway, my daughter found a cake with the Rapunzel on it and I just said I will take that cake. The lady was SO mean! Didn't even have a smile on her face, nothing bright and shiny that MOST cake shop people have because they're delivering HAPPINESS to people with their baked goods! I can say I will most likely NOT come back here, give them another go, again. It's been THIS long and it has been getting progressively worse. I will always go to my first choice, even if it is not open on that day. I will wait. The one good thing about this place, though, is that their cake flavor and texture is always good.

CAUTION! Make sure to check your cake thoroughly before leaving. We gave a detailed drawing with written instructions for our cake. When we arrived at home and opened the cake, we were extremely disappointed. We scrapped off unwanted items and did the best with what we had. When I called to talk to the manager, he said to bring it back and he would see what he could do. No time when we live across town and a party starting. In addition, he fought with me, insulted the drawing and told me so be it when I told him I was going to tell others how disappointed I was. Expected a work of art and got a mess of frosting. Will never return to the Cake Gallery. Even a simple, I am sorry would have helped...but to insult me and not take responsibility for the mess they called art...terrible business. I just hope the cake tastes good...$80 down the drain. Lesson learned the hard way. LOOK before you leave and make sure you have plenty of time, patience and money to waste if you plan on doing business with the Cake Gallery.
