Not the kind of spot I'd probably pick to hang out, but on the night before Thanksgiving it wasn't as packed as a typical evening so I ended up there with a group. Stadium club has a reputation for cheap drinks and food (thus the typical busyness). As far as I could tell they deliver on both accounts. They have plenty of TVs and things (people) to observe, daily food specials, and a rather limited selection of beer. This is a place for drinking the staple beers and liquor. Food was good, although they were somewhat stingy on the meat. The burger sliders only took up about half of the mini-bun area provided and the chicken sandwich was beaten to about 1/4" thin. Plus, thanks to the stadium club I was finally able to pinpoint the fact that I love battered french fries more than any other kind of fries. A side order of fries is plenty to share around a table, btw. Mmm, their fries were so, so good that I might go back just for those until I can find somewhere else in town that can match that fried deliciousness.

We were here on a Sunday early afternoon on the first weekend of the College World Series '15. There were only 2 other people in the place and I saw why quickly. As we sat for a good 10 mins with no one coming up to us, I figured I needed to go up to the bar and order a drink. There were about 5 people working behind the bar, just staring into space, chatting and playing on their phones. I ordered a drink, asked about food and he pointed to the menus on the wall. I proceeded to get the menu, ask the wife what she wanted, walked back up to the bar and placed our order. The only time any of the employees came to us was to bring the food. Not to bring a check, ask if we needed anything or refill drinks. The only good thing was the food. We had a burger and the wings. Couldn't complain. During the time we were eating, a handful of guys walked in together, made their way behind the bar and went in the kitchen, and began to fill up drinks for themselves, make food, etc. I'm not sure if these were employees but they were in there stumbling around drunk, throwing profanity everywhere, and smelling of weed overwhelmingly. As soon as we finished the food and I went to the bar and paid, we immediately left. We plan on coming back yearly for the World Series and we will NEVER come back to this place. It's operations were worse than a frat house. I feel sorry for the older gentleman who came in as we were about to leave, saying he just wanted something quick to eat, then proceeded to ask us if this is how this place always is. Dear mgmt- Check your staff because they are drinking/eating your place dry and allowing their friends to do the same.

The bouncer was extremely rude. We didn't even have a chance because after my husband showed our id's the little boy bouncer decided to act his shoe size and insult my husband. I unfortunately lost my cool and called him a few names. Do not support this place!!!! They obviously don't care who they have unwelcoming people to their establishment.

Dude 1: "So, like, what's your friend's deal? Is he gay?" Me: "I don't think that's any of your business." Dude 2: "He's really drunk (referring to Dude 1). I'm so sorry." Dude 1: "So then, like, what's your deal with that blonde girl? Are you guys lesbians?" I guess I'd rather be mistaken for a shitfaced lesbian with a hot blonde gf than a shitfaced straight girl with one boob hanging out offering hasty HJs in the bathroom.

Holy crap, chicken strips with ranch/buffalo sauce were incredible. Boneless hot wings also were awesome. That's all.

Oh my goodness. We stopped late on a Sunday on a recommendation from a bouncer at a bar. I could not find said bouncer later to kick him in the shins. The manager was a good guy and the cook came out to say hello too. I like these fellas so it make me sad to write a crappy review but it must be done. We had a group of 8 and ordered some apps. The fried cheese balls were good and sadly the highlight of the meal. We ordered some beers and a few burgers. Nothing overwhelmingly complicated but it was the cook's second day. I had asked if I would have my burger medium rare and he said he couldn't do that but would get it as close as possible. We were brought our food which was totally wrong. My burger resembled a hockey puck. I wish I was kidding. Everyone's was totally burnt. We couldn't eat them. The onion rings were tasty but very greasy. You could tell the manager felt bad as he gave us a round of, wait for it, small sugary shots. We're a group in our late 30's and early 40's. We're fun but shots were funny. Hubby and I are still laughing at it.

This is not a bad place to hang out IN THE SUMMER - however now it is absolutely freezing cold in here all the time. The food is not bad, the employees are great and the location is good. It is just ridiculous how cold this place is - even the employees have to leave their coats on. Who wants to sit around and drink when you are so uncomfortable?

Things have changed in my opinion. Ate here on 8/10/12 for dinner. It was a come in, grab a seat, ask for a menu operation, like many bars. I talked with the chef, who was comfortable at this point doing his job, and the manager while I waited. I ordered a burger with Jalapeno peppers and fries, and a beer from the bar. Interesting stuff: the place is owned by the same guy who owns the bar to the south. That bar was full - this one was empty. The staff was polite. The burger was actually pretty darn good. It was billed as a 1/2 lb, and it was a darn big burger. I liked it! I think they have hit their stride, but I may have caught them on a good night, so this needs another look from another reviewer. Stuff to note: Lots of on-tap beers. Lots of beers in bottles too, as well as a Touchtunes Jukebox, and numerous big screen TVs. This is typical bar fare, and the price is fine. I say give it a try - my total bill for a burger and fries, plus a Big Freaking Beer was around $16 with tip.

I met a few friends at The Stadium Club for a bite to eat and drinks before hitting their shuttle to the CWS, The bar itself is nothing special. They have several televisions, a dart board, and a modest selection of beer. The best part of this place is its location right on 10th street. From there, you can grab a table outside and watch the passers by. It can be entertaining on a weekend evening. The food is slightly above average bar food. While nothing special, the cheeseburger sliders were pretty good. They were a bit on the small side but I enjoyed the fact that it was served on a Rotella's bun. The fries were decent though I prefer frieds that aren't battered. It's good enough that I will likely drop by again in the future when I'm just looking for simple bar food.

I'm so on the fence about this joint. They had good wings. They had a shockingly decent bloody mary. They had a lot of tvs. It felt like you were in someone's 1970s basement with awful wood paneling and orange/yellow lights with ceiling fans shimmering the headache-inducing light. But, they had Iowa's game on the speaker...gross, who cares? I'd rather listen to music. Their speakers were blown and making an annoying buzzing sound. Also, when my team was about to score, they changed it to tennis!!!!!! There was four other people in this joint at the time! Tennis? They just didn't know anything about sports and the reason their patrons were there, apparently. But, it was decent for the time I could stand it...'til halftime, when I searched for another place.

The 'Club offers a full bar, and traditional bar food on the menu (burgers, chicken, fries, etc.). The food is good fwiw. The outside is nice, as you can watch the passer-bys and enjoy a drink, with ample seating. The prices are not that expensive, either. I always enjoy a summer day of hookie, and drinking here at the Stadium Club.

I rate this place 4 stars based on bar food and 3 stars for considering itself a watering hole. If you're in the Old Market and looking for nothing more than bar food, Stadium Club might be the only place you should be patronizing. As the name suggests, its a sports bar. The place is littered with plasmas connected to satellite as well as delicious bar food. My faves are the sliders and the wings.

Not a bad venue to watch games, they has tons of Samsung tv's around the periphery of the room. They definitely didn't skimp out on quality tv's! The service was friendly and prompt. We had fried mushrooms and fried ravioli which were both really tasty. We also had some hot wings that were very good as well. After going to BW3's for so long, the wings are a good change of pace and I think I prefer them over BW3's. Only problem is the bathroom is tiny and can get hairy (not literally) during big games.
