I love Runza- but this is my favorite location. It is clean, and the service is always fast and friendly. Something that most fast food forgets about. I was truly impressed. TIP Frings- (a mix of both french fries and onion rings) is a stroke of genius. It is hard to have a bad day with a fresh hot Runza and frings in front of you.

I remember the first time I heard the word runza and thinking what the hell's a runza. That's not a real word. Anyways, I was told I had to have one while out in Nebraska so we stopped here. I tried an original one and one with mushrooms and swiss. But first, I have to ask...how do chili and cinnamon buns taste? What an interesting combination that I have no desire to try. Anyways, I liked the original one the best. This is a perfect food to get at 2am after a crazy night out. I liked it in that greasy, easy to eat way. Makes me wonder why no one else thought to close up a sandwich in any other part of the country. I don't see myself eating these very often but I'm glad I tried it at least once

So, I received a canned (it literally had "Option 1" and "Option 2" embedded in the message--nice work, guys!) message from Yelp stating that they had removed my admittedly visceral review of this awful place "because it lacks a substantive firsthand experience." So here's my revision, which I hope will satisfy their editorial department: I went to this Runza. I ordered some food. I put the food that I bought myself in my mouth. The food tasted bad in there. I said, "This food I bought here in this Runza tastes bad in my mouth. Runza started in Lincoln, I think." It was a firsthand experience with Runza, and it was substantive. The End

I love Runza, but this location sucks. The food is usually cold and the service is poor. I'd suggest a different location.

I love RUNZA! Think of a hot pocket, but fresher and more delicious, with more varieties for filings, and you've got a Runza. I don't generally promote fast-food places or franchises, but this is a worthy exception. We'll have one in KC soon, so that will be awesome. I eat one every time I'm in Omaha. Whenever that is :-)

Runza is your basic fast food burger joint with one major exception: The Runza. What is The Runza, you might ask? The Runza is like the Cabbage Bun Hot Pocket that your German relatives keep bragging about. Plus, I'm reasonably certain that it has some sort of addictive ingredient like nicotine or methamphetamine in it, because sometimes I'll wake up in the morning and be like "I just can't start my day without hitting a Runza." Aside from The Runza (the food), Runza (the place) leaves a lot to be desired.

Went to get me and kids some ice cream. .89 cent cones. Went threw the drive thru . And I ordered two twist and one vanilla ( because I don't like chocolate) got to the window and paid. She gives me 3 twist cones . I said I ordered one vanilla and two twist. The young lady at the window was upset I could tell. She took the cone back and trashed it. Then went to get my vanilla cone. It took about 3 minutes. So when she came to hand it to me. She was just like "here you go". No customer service smile or I'm sorry or nothing. I took the cone and and before I left the drive thru I passed by there trash . The cone went into the trash. I don't trust people when they mess up orders and be made like it's my fault. I don't know what she could if did to my ice cream. But I wasn't gonna eat it. She was rude.. Never again will I go thru drive thru. I would have to see them make it myself .

There's nothing like a Runza! You have to try one as describing it, does it no justice! Whenever I'm visiting Nebraska, (my wife's from Lincoln!) I will hit a Runza. I prefer the Cheese Runza. The Cheeseburger is totally appealing and beyond the usual fast food patties! The frech fries and onion rings are perfect and flavorful. I don't usually eat at fast food joints BUT this is a special treat I will indulge in when a Runza store is around! Yeah, I have to pound out some serious cardio or strength training to burn these calories up...but it's worth it!

I really want to write a 5-star review for Runza, but there's something holding me back. That something is the fact that of all the non-native Omahans that have tried the Runza, I know no-one who is a total convert. So for some reason this is just a local food item that we force on our out of town visitors, who don't really end up liking it that much anyway. Like lutefisk in Minnesota. The Runza sandwich is Omaha's lutefisk. After living in Omaha for about 3 years now my husband has converted to the Swiss mushroom Runza but remains unimpressed with the original cheese Runza. That being said, I freaking LOVE cheese Runzas. Just the idea of one right now... all cheesy, cabbagey, meaty, greasy... wow I love them. I have a real problem. I heard once that you can order them frozen by the case... and while I have yet to go that far, I plan on doing so someday. They also have good fries, onion rings, etc.

Oh my goodness. Runzas. I don't live in Omaha--never have--but every time I come in town (Mom and much family live in Bellevue), I have to have one. Like, right out of the airport, into a Runza joint. That's how I roll. I love Runzas, and have tried to duplicate their cheesy goodness at home, to no avail. I'm a fan of the swiss & mushroom Runza--and their burgers. I know it's just fast food, but their burgers are divine. And their fries. And their onion rings. And...I'm just irritated that it'll be another month before I'm in Nebraska and can get my hands around one of these local treats again. Almost as tasty--and addictive--as Potato Oles. But *that's* another review for another time. ;)

I went through the drive-thru yesterday and decided to call the manager with a question/comment that I had. The woman who answered asked me to hold on then she proceeded to ask "who wants to play manager?!" Then who wants to talk to this b***h!?" John then answered the phone and insisted there was no supervisor working, when I told him I was coming back the supervisor suddenly walked through the door. I then spoke to Jerry who was apparently the supervisor. He didnt apologize an was very condescending. To sum it up, the customer service is horrible and the food is decent but it's not good enough to be called the B word for.

Runza is as good as advertised. They have fresh burgers, runzas, fries and onion rings. I recommend "FRINGS" a combo of fries and rings. Delicous combo.

I've got a story about Runza. 3 of my buddies from out of town (2 Phoenix and 1 Nashville) and their wives were staying with us about 2 years ago, and after a night of drinks at the Mai Tai, we decide to hit up Runza at 108 and Maple. Just like the commercials they show on TV say, for some reason, Nebraskans who leave the state think that eating Runza is secretly how Warren made all his millions or something, because they can't get it soon enough when they come home. Anyway, we're in the lead car, order up 2 Runzas and fries. We pull up to the window, and as we're paying, I hear some hollering from the car behind us, which contained my buddies. Then I see them going in reverse, and my phone rings. The conversation went something like this: Me: "What's up B#tches!" Them: "Did you pay yet?" Me: "Yeah, why?" Them: "Oh S%&T, expect to get a free side of spit in your Runzas." Me: "WTH?" Them: "We tried to order 3 Runzas and they told us they are out of Runzas, and Kada yelled 'You're out of F&*$ng Runzas at Runza???' So we bailed." Me: Oh S%&T." Them: We're going to Taco Bell. See you at home." Well, we got our Runzas, and they looked fine. Opened them up (ruining the integrity of the bread) and they looked fine on the inside as well. The moral of the story, on this particular night, although being taunted by customers in the drive-thru at 11PM, they did not do anything unsavory to our food (that we knew of). Runza really earns only 3 stars from me due to the guarantee of stomach discomfort their food causes, but they get a bonus star for not spitting in our Runzas.

Runza is a midwestern fast food joint. I was a pretty serious vegetarian for 8 years, but I allowed myself to eat a runza once a year bc i cannot live without runza in my life. A runza is ground beef, cabbage, and spices baked into bread. It is amazing however i have recently come to the conclusion that if you weren't raised on Runza's your not going to like 'em. Everybody i know who grew up in the midwest makes yummy noises when you mention the word 'runza', but people from outside the midwest don't seem to enjoy them so much. In fact, people not from the midwest tend to make me feel guilty and disgusting for eating Runzas. Does anybody else get that?

While their claim to fame is their Runzas, I usually go there for their burgers, particularly the mushroom and swiss. Heavenly. I also like their crinkle fries. It's like they have the perfect geometry to maximize their greasy, crispy deliciousness. As to the Runzas, I agree with others that they seem to be a locally acquired taste, as I have often heard them disparaged. Surprisingly, I like them best when served at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. I don't know what sort of alien technology they used to design the coolers carried by Runza vendors, but the sandwiches are consistently hotter and more delicious in the stands of a football game than they are coming out of a drive through window. Of course, this perception could be accentuated by senses dulled with alcohol and cold.

I LOVE my Runzas. I swear they are better than any fast food joint I've ever been to. You have to try the 'Runza', their hot pocket type thing that will leave you wanting to eat one a day for the rest of your life. The onion rings are also great, super crunchy.
