I stopped in a couple of months ago to watch the Bears/Packers game... FOOD: I sat at the bar, and ordered the coconut flour chicken tenders. They were okay; the portion was large (about 5-6 tenders). They have typical bar food available, and I'm sure everything else on the menu is fine. SERVICE: The bartenders were very friendly. When it got closer to game time, I asked a bartender if they could change the channel in front of me, and they did it quickly. I also asked if they could put the game on the speakers instead of music, and they did that as well. There are plenty of smaller TV's lined up above the bar area, perfect for sitting and drinking. There are also other TV's spread out throughout the bar; 2 larger TV's, and smaller ones mounted high up. The reason I love this bar is the owner, Jimmy. You can tell that he is just a really great guy; he was walking around and talking to all the customers. He came up to me, and asked me which team I was rooting for (Da Bears!), and proceeded to point out one of his former employees who was there wearing a Packer's jersey, and he was poking fun at her. You could sense how great he gets along with the workers (current and past). He stopped by several times more, and really made me feel comfortable! VERDICT: I would love to go back. There are a lot of regulars, and it seems like a really fun place to hang out. Not too dive-like, but also not fancy. It was very clean inside, and the employees were so friendly. There is also a patio for nice weathered days.

I enjoy the Pipeline Tavern. We go there every Sunday around 12:30. They have the Sunday NFL ticket package. There is never a shortage of games. They have good beer bucket specials. The kicker is the $1.50 cheeseburgers. They are delicious, fresh off the grill. Besides the cheese being on the burger, they have a condiment station that includes pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and the like. Don't order french fries with each burger, because they sell them (crinkle or steak) as baskets. They make a damn good bloody mary, that the Mrs will add a couple of pickles too. On a nice day, they do have outdoor picnic tables that like the front of the building. They sit on top of a deck that overlooks the surrounding 72nd street and Pacific street intersections. Next door is a Dr. John's botique. So if you leave the Pipeline, start feeling a little frisky, walk over and buy a few things to enjoy with your special someone.

Good selection of food, although my burger I ordered was overcooked. Krinkle fries were really good. The beef queso and chips were good as well. The queso is not hot spicy, but has a lot of spice to it. Overall a decent place. They have a good selection of beer on tap and decent prices... Watch out for the parking lot, if you drive a small car like I do, it may swallow you whole.

Great local watering hole. Is there a group of regular day drinkers? Yep -- and that's always a plus in my book. I was in the area on a Thursday afternoon with an hour to kill, I decided to stop in. Decent selection of taps -- mostly domestic but I was happy with my Goose Island IPA ($3.75). You can sit at the bar and listen to the locals jaw with each other or you can hide away in a booth in the corner. Food is available as well. Nothing fancy, just your typical pub grub. They seem to be doing some renovations to the exterior of the building, namely the giant patio/smoking deck. The Pipeline could definitely use it, as it's showing its age in more than a few places.

They have surprisingly delicious food!! The creamy jalapeño chicken soup is reason enough to come...it's so thick and hearty you could stand your spoon in it, and they don't skimp on the heat!! Seriously, it makes me sweat like an unholy woman in a holy building. ;) The crinkle cut fries are also very good. I've eaten there 4 or 5 times, and the food has never disappointed. The drinks, on the other hand, are horrible. My receipt will say a name brand liquor, but it sure tastes like well!! It's cheap enough, though, and there's always beer!

Good place to grab a bite and watch a game. No complaints except the place is definitely showing its age.

This is one of those bars where everybody knows your name... and if they don't, it's just not as fun. But we were there with some people that did know other people's names, so it was a scream. Also, on a Friday afternoon for March Madness contributed a certain amount of entertainment (especially when a guy got a call on the house from from what I can only assume was an angry wife). We also had some food here. I was a little wary, but remembered some pretty tasty burgers in the past, so I had a nice fried chicken sandwich with waffle fries. I was hungry and washed it down with plenty of Boulevard Wheat (on tap) so I was happy and satiated when we left. It's a little bit like a small town bar and grill, in a very friendly way.... though FYI, their TV situation was what I'd call outdated, so if that's an issue for you, take it into consideration as well.

I have driven by this place for years and never stopped in until last week when we decided to do a Yelp wing night. Every Monday they offer a dozen wings for 3.99 The wings were actually really good and my gf ordered a blt and was very happy with her decision. I know they do a burger special every Sunday - we plan on returning soon to try it.

Deep drinks, fabulous patty melts, lots of TV, music, darts, lovely tenders etc, and then there is Jimmy. This man is a mensch! No better out there. Don't miss the annual TuesPM before Thanksgiving. Great drink specials with a happy crowd. One night the bartender took us into the kitchen for some snacks. How do you beat that?? We saw the original equipment from Mr. Steak!!!

This bar is amazing! The staff are fast and friendly. The mixed drinks are strong and the specials are always a great deal. $1 draws on Wednesday is my fav! Starts at 4pm - 2:00 am. The food is also stellar! Nothing on the menu tastes like "bar food". This place has possibly the best burger in town IMHO... Add in the huge deck and convenient location... You can't go wrong!

From the parking lot to the restrooms...this is one run-down joint BUT they have a ton of HDTV's with good sports coverage. The staff is usually very attentive unless they are overwhelmed. Standard fare bar food, decent drink prices, with an average beer selection.

Good burgers and decent happy hour. $1 burgers on Sunday for the big games....we haven't been to Louie M's yet but my husband says that these burgers really rock!!

Good sports bars require only a few things: quality drink specials, cheap (notice how I didn't say gourmet) food, and hot waitresses. The Pipeline has the first two, which is a good start. They also have multiple large HDTVs for your enjoyment.

I've become a fan of Pipeline. Sometimes you just feel like a burger and a beer on a weekday without any excuse and this place has a variety of quality burgers/fries in the $7 range and will even substitute onion rings for no extra charge, which is unusual. The burgers actually take a little longer to come out than you'd expect and I think it's because they aren't short cutting it. The regulars seem to devour the daily specials (like the beef sandwich), I've even seen them ordering an extra 3-4 for takeout. Draft Beer and TV's are cheap/plentiful. Wait staff is very friendly, I'm by no means a regular but am well taken care of. I used to drive a little further to go to BWW's when in the burger/beer mood but no longer.
