Love their thin crust pizzas and they have a solid selection of interesting salads. My favorite? The Buffalo Chicken Rolls!!! OMG. OC took them off the menu a couple of years ago, but thank goodness the local franchise owner refused to not make them for the fans here in Omaha (they are that popular)! The national group finally put them right back on the menu now, where they belong. Imagine a cinnamon roll but inside is white meat chicken, cheese and a light sauce. Shaved on top? Celery and carrots! And you can have either Bleu Cheese or Ranch for dipping - just outstanding menu item. Can't go wrong at OC, they do a nice job. Great beer selection and an improved customer reward card program tied to your phone number. Generous "pay back" for customers with it, too.

Awesome beer selection. Food wasn't a big hit... If you live out in west Omaha this is a wonderful stop for good beer. It has a pretty sizable menu in that respect. Unfortunately to me, a sizable menu for food usually means A LOT of variety means mediocre results which is accurate in this case. My wife and I went with some of her work colleagues who live in the area. I had the pick 3 appetizer. Ravioli, Fries, and fried pickles. The fried pickles were pretty good. My wife had a calzone. It was below par. The portion sizes were also pretty large. I would come back for the beer and maybe an appetizer but would steer clear for an actual meal.

I like old chicago. It is near our home and a nice spot to grab lunch or a pizza for dinner. I like the lunch salads that are half the usual size (which frankly is still the appropriate portion size so no need to make it bigger for dinner). Typically good and speedy service. I like the thin crust pizzas. Good place for kids

I have eaten at Old Chicago twice now. Both times I enjoyed my food. The first time I had the Mac n Cheese with Chicken and the second time I had the pizza with artichokes and chicken on it. I do not recall how these items are named on the menu at the moment, but I do remember they were both delicious. I also enjoy that they have a few hard ciders to choose from. For me Old Chicago is not only convenient it is a place where I enjoy my food.

Review on the bar, not food. Most times when I go to Old Chicago it is after 10:00PM. Why? Because their Happy Hour starts then. Old Chicago has one of the best selections of beer in the area. I can go there and try two new beers a night no problem. They also have great deals for their Happy Hour. I really suggest checking it out some time. Also don't forget to sign up fir the World Beer Tour. Get points from every different beer you drink towards rewards. I do it to try new stuff! Overall a great place. Servers are great. Atmosphere is great. You can go there to watch a game with buddies, or go there for a sit-down meal. Its a great place to check out overall!

This is my first time back to Old Chicago since they completed their renovation and changed the name to Old Chicago Pizza and Tap Room. The menu has changed slightly but as the new name implies, they still have lots of beer on tap. They also changed the interior by removing the partition separating the bar from the restaraunt. That changed opened the place up. They were other small changes including the addition of a screen in the corner of the bar displaying the beers on tap and in bottles. The biggest change to me was the removal of Saturday night happy hour at this location. The bar was nearly empty at 10 PM as a result. As far as the food goes, I ordered by good old stand-by, the Nachos Grande. After being disappointed my last time at OC, this time they were reminiscent of what I ordered prior to being taken off the menu. It's still tough to pay full price for them when I was able to get them half hour. My wife ordered their version of a margherita pizza. It was a little different in that it had a pesto sauce, garlic, basil olive oil, and bruschetta. I had a couple bits and it wasn't bad. The best part was the deep dish crust. This is not to be confused with a Chicago-style deep dish but satisfying enough particularly for Omaha. I'm not sure that I'm sold on this new, somewhat upscale concept but OC still offers better bar food than most. I'm sure I will go back since this is one of the better places to get solid food and a decent beer selection on West Maple but at $40 for an order of nachos, a small pizza, and two craft beers, I think it's a little pricey. Oh, how I wish they would return to the original concept (and offer late night happy hour on the weekends).

We recently went back on a Wednesday night and sat in the bar area. Our service was so so so much better. We had menus and drinks within a couple minutes of sitting down. When the waitress wrote my order down incorrectly, she was super apologetic and fixed it right away. We were in and out in an hour, as opposed to the last time when ordering a pizza and pasta cost us 2.5.

Old Chicago is my spot. They have the best happy hours, more than enough beers to choose from. I am a member of the World Beer Tour. I also know a lot of the people that work there, who are all very fun to be around. Great place.

Went to Old Chicago recently to meet a group of friends for a birthday party. The host of the party and also the birthday girl, had called the day before and spoke to the manager to reserve a table. Granted, it was a Husker game day but she gave plenty of notice and was promised a table for 7:00. After the entire party had arrived to a handful of what seemed to be clueless employees at the front desk and no table, we were finally seated about 45 minutes after the promised time. I was the first person to arrive and was treated rudely and like I was just out of luck on a table. The waitress was very good to us and made sure that we had everything we needed. The food was not impressive. Very bland and our fries were cold and soggy. After leaving, two of the girls got sick, and ate the EXACT same thing... Hopefully a coincidence. Don't think I'll be taking that chance again.

I just stopped by the Old Chicago restaurant located downtown Omaha for Lunch. I was blown away! What a great restaurants. They just started a quick $6.95 new lunch menu - awesome. Quick service and outstanding crew. The food was amazing. I will be back. If you haven't tried OC - you are missing out.

The closest thing to deep dish that you can find outside Chi Town. Toppings are fresh as always. Nicely balanced sauce and crust. I'm not a beer drinker, but for those who are the selection is great.

Been here twice and both times the food was tasteless and took forever! They must have a different menu than their downtown location because it seemed like my options were pizza or pasta...both of which are not worth 15$! Truly disappointed because it's so close to home.

Very accommodating when we came in with a large group. The service was great with a good selection of beer. Nathan was patient with all of our requests and the Italian Nachos are out of this world! Will definitely be back!

Having an incredibly tough time locating a good pizza place in Omaha. Old Chicago's attempt was pretty good. I wouldn't mind giving them another try and see what the sandwiches taste like.

One of our favorite places to eat out. They have great pizza, especially if you like deep dish - try the Chicago Seven! We usually go for happy hour, which is daily from 4-6pm I believe. They have $1 off all pints, and half price appetizers, including pepperoni rolls, mozz sticks, wings, etc. They always have the latest seasonal beers on tap, so there is always something new to try if you're a beer lover!

The food was decent, but our waitress spent more time standing around with her co-workers watching the Olympic Diving then serving her customers. We could actually see our food sitting, waiting to be delivered, but no server to be found.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
