salmon eggs benedict, yes please!!! I struggle at restaurants like this where you have the choice of lunch or breakfast. I usually lean toward lunch, because I am just less of a breakfast person, but I did go breakfast yesterday while there. It was amazing. I get really excited over eggs benedict, especially on the rare occasions that the hollandaise sauce is made correctly and isn't broken when served. This was delicious, and I will go back for more. The atmosphere isn't special, nor the location, but the food was great. I also love that they give you your own caraf of water (with lemon) and my husband got his own jug of coffee which he loved. I was pleasantly surprised by this place, and will recommend it to others.

To say this play is supposedly a top raved location - it doesn't leave much to the remembering. I remember the service - nothing to remember. I remember the food - no seasonings remembered. While this place seems to cater to the elderly crowd and the Sunday after-church foodists, they can still throw in a little salt and pepper. Maybe I was there on an off day, but me and my significant other did not find anything worth going back for, let alone waiting for a seat for. I rarely finish a cup of water and if I have to wait until after my entire meal for something to wash it down with, I become a little perturbed. What also bothered me were the hostesses. They seemed to feel that discussing their next day off was more important than seating the empty tables with the people waiting by the door to be sat. I don't care when your next day off is, I care about when I'm going to get fed...and I'm sure the people waiting to get seated were too.

What a cute little breakfast haunt. A bit of a wait, but food was great. Filling & fun. Plenty of vegetarian options. Simple, but inviting decor. Friendly service. Super Duper!

Le Peep has become somewhat of a Sunday staple for my girlfriend and I. Generally speaking I'm not much of a breakfast-food person but I have to admit that everything I've ordered from Le Peep has been wonderful. The meals are fresh, taste great, reasonably priced, and arrive in a timely fashion. You really can't go wrong here, try it!

"Good morning!" sang the chorus of teenage girls standing at the counter as my family entered the restaurant for breakfast. This is one of my parents' favorite breakfast spots, and I swear, every time I come here, I notice that the servers are mostly female, and insanely perky. Indeed, everything that we ordered today was forecast to be "awesome!" by our server. It must be something in the water. But, in fact, everything was awesome. I always get some sort of omelet here, depending on what I'm in the mood for, and I'm never disappointed. My parents get an omelet and 2 blueberry granola pancakes and split the dishes. the blueberry granola pancakes are definitely yummy, but a tiny bit dry without syrup or other topping. The portions are pretty hearty, so come hungry. They also have hot sauce and tabasco on the table, which I love. In fact, Le Peep is very much like a greasy spoon diner, only without being quite so greasy. A great breakfast stop!

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning with a group of 8 people and a baby. The place is bright and cheery and they really pack it full on Saturday mornings. This keeps the wait time down and they seem pretty adept at handling large groups, but it also made it difficult to navigate through the restaurant. Our service was friendly and efficient throughout the meal. I stuck with water but my husband ordered a mocha which was served with whipped cream and caramel topping and was overall pretty impressive. I tried it and it was really good. For my meal I ordered the stuffed French toast. The serving was more than adequate and was the flavor was pretty good. I also tried my husband's chicken fried chicken (not a dish I would ever order) and it was delicious. You pay at the front, so it is easy enough to split tickets for larger groups. Our meal (including the frou frou mocha) was about $25 with tip. We were happy with our meal and would definitely come here again for breakfast.

I live near here, and I've eaten breakfast at least three times. So this review is only from my breakfast experience. This is a good all-around place if you want to avoid chains like IHop or Village Inn etc. It's family owned. I've never had to wait. The prices and portions tend to be a little more normal. You're typically not going to leave feeling like you're about to hurl because you just had to gulp down those extra two free pancakes that came with your meal. The food is good. Not spectacular, but good value for what you pay, and they have a pretty big menu.

Snow and I came in for a bite to eat this morning...As is typical for a Sunday, it was fairly busy, and even more so by the time we left about an hour later...I ordered the Migas, without avocado..I really liked it...everything was cooked well and I would order this again...the service was friendly and fairly quick...prices were reasonable...my only slight against them is the re-fried beans I got weren't as hot as I'd have liked...but they did taste pretty good which is a nice change of pace...I'd probably come back here again, and I'd reccommend them...

Excellent idea for a breakfast place outside of Perkins or Village Inn. I tried the wanderer skillet. A bit too salty but nevertheless was delicious. Food portions are just about the perfect size. Food arrives quickly and the service is good. Definitely will return!

I absolutely love Le Peep! My fiancé and I come here every Sunday for brunch and we always leave happy. Their hazelnut flavored coffee is the best in Omaha and their pumpkin pecan pancakes are to die for (only served in the fall). The service is always great. The only thing that bothers me about Le Peep is the lack of substitutions. On some of their items, it's an English muffin on the side or nothing. My brother has celiac disease and can't tolerate gluten and I know he gets very frustrated with Le Peep and how they won't let him substitute fruit for the English muffin. I am now having to go gluten free also and I experienced the same problem today as well. If you aren't going to let us substitute, at least have an Ezekiel bread English muffin or a gluten free alternative so we are getting our money's worth. If Le Peep did that, I'd give them 5 stars without a doubt.

I had lunch here for the first time today with a friend. The place was clean and the service prompt. I got the bacon cheeseburger, and while the bun was perfectly toasted the burger was well-done (they didn't ask me if I wanted it well-done, which I didn't), the onions, lettuce, and tomatoes for the burger were past their prime, and the small handful of fries that came with were cold when I got them. The meal was $9.50. For that price, go to Culver's up the street and get a basket meal: you'll be much more satisfied with the price and quality.

We just left Le Peep on Wright St. in Omaha. We bought a $10.00 Daily Deal Omaha for $20.00 Worth of Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. When we went to pay the bill they would not accept this and told us that it had expired, although there was no expiration date on "The Deal." Another time we were there and told the owner that we were there the previous week and forgot to have the punch card punched and would they punch our punch card one punch and the owner said "NO." How much business do you think this will cost them over the years. Needless to say we will never be back to Le PeeP!!

Went for a late brunch with the kids. Service was fast and food was great. I love they bring you your own pot of coffee. Dark roast is excellent. Kids meals are great portions and we had a great time.

We will never go to this place again or recommend it. We gave them a second chance after one bad experience and the second time was even worse! They have kids working up front who are unprofessional and know nothing about proper business etiquette. Our silverware and glasses were filthy and the food was soggy and burnt. This is far from "the best breakfast in the world" as they claim. In addition all other restaurants will substitute fruit instead of muffin or pancake for those with celiac but they refused so you are paying for something that you can't even eat. Worst customer service ever and food only fair if that. Only gave one star because waitress was friendly

Breakfast appetizer? Sure! Gooey Buns -- an English muffin smothered in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and almonds. Topped with cream cheese and apple pie filing. It is actually shocking how Le Peep can turn the English Muffin, which is usually a healthier breakfast option, into something that is over 500 calories. (Ask for their nutrition facts! Or go online!) Yes, they have a breakfast appetizer that is over 500 calories! For an entree, I got their Gypsy Skillet: potato cubes with egg, ham, onions, mushrooms, and LOTS and LOTS of cheese. Besides the cheese, the skillet is nice, but not spectacular. I can't say it was worth the 800 calories. To round out the meal, I also got to try their Blueberry Oat Pancake -- I found this to be interesting, as this is the first time I've seen Oats as part of a pancake. Alas, the oats caused the cake itself can be dry, but that's why they provide the blueberry topping AND the maple syrup. Also worth noting is the sheer size of this pancake.... it's HUGE! My biggest complaint? They have an espresso menu without offering any milk substitutes. I would love if I was able to get a Soy Caramel Apple Latte, but instead had to settle with 2%. Can I justify coming back and using a full day's worth of calories on breakfast (assuming I do not count the Caramel Apple Latte)? No, not really. NOTE: they do not split checks on Saturdays and Sundays.

I love me some breakfast - especially breakfast that's made-from-scratch-uber-fatty-meal-before-we-milk-cows variety (i.e. biscuits and gravy) or interesting and kind of sheeshee (i.e. whole wheat pancakes with sour cherry compote and toasted walnuts). Le Peep doesn't hit either of those extremes in the way I need them to, but it's still a decent go-to place for brekky. On our plates this morning: Western omelet, potatoes, English muffin with raisins, two eggs over easy, slice o' ham, cup of coffee. Coffee was good. English muffin was a bit over-toasted, chewy and cripsy (love). Potatoes were, well, potatoes and helped immensely when doused with hot sauce. I like that they don't overcook the veg so you still get a little crisp texture in the omelet. Atmosphere is bright, open and airy which does not scream "roll up in your tore up sweats on a Saturday with a messy pony for some brek" but is perfect for meeting with the extended fam. Brekky for two with tax: $19.74.

For anyone familiar with my reviews, you already know that while I'm a groupie of food in general, I'm not a huge fan of breakfast food. And for anyone who doesn't, now you do. Though as I reviewed the menu for Le Peep last night, I thought it definitely showed some promise. Meal compositions sounded well thought out and they had lots of options and variety. This morning I arrived at my breakfast meeting a half hour early (on purpose) and did some reading. At 6:30am on a Wednesday I had the restaurant all to myself (and my pot of french roast coffee). The space is quite nice with soothing yellow walls and large windows. Unfortunately the view out said windows is only of west Omaha strip-mall sprawl. As a final note on ambience, the music seemed a little more 'romantic' than I would have preferred for a breakfast setting, but I understand what they were going for. Now, on to the food! As I mentioned, I started with a pot of coffee, out of habit I ordered coffee without looking at the menu. But that was a mistake, I think... as they have a whole menu devoted just to drinks. Pretty much every caffeinated beverage you'd find at your neighborhood coffee shop as well as juices, smoothies and the standard fountain drinks. For my meal, I settled on the Spinnaker, which is fresh spinach, mushrooms, crisp bacon and blended cheeses. Topped with combo cheese, tomato wheel and a sprinkle of chives (wanted to try the White Lightning, but I have a weird thing about chicken in eggs that I'm still working on). All ingredients were accounted for in appropriate quantities, fresh, and cooked well. Sides were potatoes and choice of bread (whole wheat English muffin for me). All good. One of the problems I have with breakfast is the associated grease overload - but no need to worry about that from what I saw at Le Peep. I ate my fill, and don't feel like curling up in a ball of regret under my desk. I'd definitely be up for a repeat visit and maybe would have given 5 stars if I was into breakfast more. I feel a lunch follow-up coming on...

I went to Le Peep on a Saturday for lunch. The atmosphere is nice, and I really like the carafe of extra soda they provide, as well as the little pots of coffee they leave at the table. My wife's sandwich looked good, but I was really disappointed in my food. I'm a big fan of breakfast, and it was pretty heartbreaking to have such a bland, tasteless experience. From the omelet to the bacon to the cheap tasting coffee to the potatoes that were lazily undercooked. The one piece of food I truly enjoyed was the wheat toast. That...I really liked. I'll go back because it's a nice place to eat. Maybe next time I'll try one of their sandwiches.

No flavor, dry, and boring. Tables are crammed together and the place is small. I was really hoping for fresh and interesting food and maybe some gooey delishiness but no.... Still searching....

I am a fan, yes indeed. This is kind of our Sunday spot. I have yet to have a mediocre meal. The coffee is hot and yummy and they have flavored choices, which are unique. And I love having my very own pot...no waiting for your waitress to bring her's back around to warm up your cup! The menu choices can be a bit overwhelming, but I've tried quiet a few. The pancakes are fab! Specifically try the granola blue cakes....holy moly! Omelets are wonderful and the veggies are fresh, which is a big deal for me. You must try the gooey buns....it is this concoction of cream cheese, cinnamon/sugar and silvered almonds on top of English muffins. A must if you go! Oh, and the breakfast banana split which is lots of fresh fruit and yogurt......awesome. I would recommend being prepared to wait on the weekends if you aren't an early riser. The wait goes quickly and it has never been more than 15 minutes on a Sunday.

I really wanted to like this place, really. On occasion I get an urge to have eggs and meat for a meal other than breakfast sooooo having read the blurbs and heard the hype I stopped at Le Peep around noon today and had bacon and eggs. The eggs were over easy as I ordered them and totally and completely unremarkable (think Village Inn or IHOP on a not particularly good day). The BACON???? 2 shriveled slices of generic Supermarket crap. I ordered my milk WITH the meal so of course it came immediately so even the small ice cold pleasure i asked for was less so when my meal arrived. The potatoes were rubbery and warm, well seasoned but RUBBERY AND WARM. With Bailey's 20 minutes away I'm amazed Le Peep is even still in business. I just realized I have said nothing positive in this entire review so I will close by saying they got the buttered toast almost right. Thank God for the prepackaged jelly!

I had one really good meal and one disappointing meal. The disappointing meal was canceled out by my company, And that we were left alone to talk for almost 3 hours on a busy Sunday. When the food is good it can be great. I had some yummy soup, it was a cream based soup, potato and bacon. Nice big chunks of potato and the bacon wasn't too salty. My sandwich was good, more than I could eat. I was disappointed in the French Toast, it was rather bland, nothing special. The "sassy apples" tasted like they came out of a can, and they were cold. Very unimpressive and not tasty. My friend said the White Lightening Omelet was really good. The coffee is ok, I have gotten the hazelnut both times. Maybe I should try some of the other drinks besides just coffee. Because they were so awesome when we just wanted to sit and chat I will come back. But I won't order the French Toast again.

I met up with a group of friends for Easter brunch here - they all dressed in their fancy clothes after church, me, the Jew, in my jeans. But I digress. I wasn't crazy about the choice of a chain restaurant for brunch, but I actually enjoyed just about everything about this place. I had one of the skillet dishes - something with gravy. Very heart attack in a skillet kind of thing, but delish! It was just as good cold later, but then, that's probably just me. The service, ambiance, and food all get 4 stars from me. I'm tempted to take away a star because it's a chain, but I'm not feeling so stingy at the moment.

One of the mysteries of dining out is why people wait in line on Sunday's at Le Peep. Potatoes taste of being frozen and are soggy lumps. I love potatoes with eggs, so this is important to me. Orange juice must be out of a can. I have been here over five times because it is close and people I am with suggested it. But, I have started saying no. There are too many other good choices for breakfast--even Hy Vee is far better at a much lower price. But, very close by is a superior location at a comparable price for a Sunday breakfast--Taxi's.
