Hands-down definitely the best Korean food Omaha has to offer. Their bonchon (small appetizer type pickled dishes like Kim chee) dishes are authentic and delicious. There aren't a lot of servers here so things will hum at a moderately slow to normal pace- worse with large parties but should be ok with a group of 6 or less. Location wise they're very easy to find off of L St. and 96th in the strip mall. Decorations....pretty bare but they do have a karaoke machine for your enjoyment which is a lot of fun. The music is fairly updated in the book for selection. Food-awesome! All the appetizers and entrees I sampled were fantastic. I ESP liked the bi bim bop and Galbi soup. They also have beers and souju for liquor and wine. Definitely somewhere you need to check out for your Korean fix. It's a little on the pricer end but I am willing to pay more for authenticity.

Nice environment. Comfortable. Seated immediately. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was good and got plenty of side dishes with the meal.

This restaurant is a treasure we found in Omaha. Their dishes are authentic Korean. I felt like I was eating my mother's food. The lady in the kitchen (maybe, owner) is so generous. The soybean paste soup and grilled mackerel tasted fantastic.

Best Korean in Omaha! I've grown up eating korean food and this place has the best I have tried in Nebraska so far. Yes that's including Maru and Korean Grill. Every order comes with a selection of side dishes that are seasoned to perfection. If you want authentic korean food this is the place to get it. The only reason I am rating this place 4 stars is because the food can be a little pricey. The entrees run about $12.99+ BUT the portions are huge! I usually order takeout from here as a treat and I get seafood pancake and kalbi which costs around $30ish not including tip. It usually lasts me three meals, so I feel like its justified lol. They include rice and side dishes as well so I'll splurge every once in a while ;D

Korea King is the real deal. A true hidden gem in Omaha. The Korean food is authentic and we were quite satisfied with the service. Will certainly be back again.

Food tastes good but the service is very slow, i don't know if this happens everyday but the server, the receptionist & the bartender is the same person. When we stepped inside we have to wait for about 10 minutes just for the guy come and take us to our table. Waiting about ~20 minutes just for a dish. It'd be definitely better and feel better if they have more people.

base on lunch -- Steam Tofu, Sam Gyup Sal, Khori-Gom-Tang. I have a Korean Lady as my server, whom I assume is the owner. She showcase true korean hospitality by going above and beyond, not only check to make sure the food are ok, she also offer extra rice and side dishes (banchan) at no additional cost. they have a amazing selection of kimchi , I receive eight dishes each was generous portion unlike some location only offer half the option and portion This will be the place to go if you want to get most out of your money and experience korean believe that health and illness alike come, hence by providing good food and great services, food are best natural med.

I have not had this good of Korean food in a long time. The waitress was super helpful and patient while my wife and I decided what to order. We had several dishes and the bill was reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Korean food. It's kind of tucked away off the main road in a strip mall but you wont be disappointed.

    Best Korean place in Omaha

Reasonable Korean food by Omaha standards. We had the beef bulgogi and Gal-bi (Korean short ribs). Both were well done and I enjoyed the side dishes as well (potatoes, kim-chi, etc). Korean Grill offers a bit more in terms of portion sizing and is a bit better in terms of value (cost). That being said, Korea King is a bit more fresh since the food is made to order instead of pre-made like Korean Grill. Overall, Korea King is reasonably priced and worth a visit. In my opinion, both are better than Maru, which is very overpriced.

Another first time for me. Didn't know this place existed until i yelped Korean by my office. First impressions. A little hard to find, located at the end of strip mall. They were redoing the front of the mall so signage was sparse. Decor was sparse also and it had the obligatory karaoke machine set up. lol Ordered the bimimbap and friend hat the bulgogi. Place was empty so service was good. Food was solid but not great. The side dishes were extremely good with some Korean options i rarely see (some sort of marinated pickled potato). Prices were reasonable and portions were of decent size. Conclusion.... if you are looking for Korean, stop on by.

I always order the pork with the grill table top (#6) and pork bulgogi, my favorites! Prices and quality of food are awesome, especially for Nebraska. Service is pretty good and it's definitely a must have when I head to Omaha. Will be coming back for more!

Very thankful we tried this restaurant! We walked in and immediately our daughter loved the small quaint place and the smiling Korean hostess/waitress. It happened to be super busy with a party, so it was loud, but I can tell its not usually so noisy. We lived in Korea 3 years. We ordered Korean pancake (pa'jeon), which was a little spicy with bits of cuttlefish and lots of vegetables. Very yummy and tasted just like Korea! My daughter got the Bibimbap. It was a.Maz.Ing.! It had lots if veggies, and she got the mild sauce. Tasted just like Korea. My littlest got the Bulgogi. Very very flavorful! My husband and I shared the Buddae Jiggae. It was spicy and yummy and kimchi vinegary. So yummy! The kimchi banchan was the best I have had since we left Korea. It tasted fresh and just had that "something" that makes kimchi fresh and perfect! We received yummy banchan. When the owner talked to us, and we told her about how we love authentic Korean food, she divulged that we had received the "American" banchan- it's different than the Korean banchan. (Not all, but some). The American banchan included seasoned broccoli. The Korean banchan includes the anchovy fish, spicy sweet cuttlefish, and another kimchi. If you tell them that you want Korean banchan, the you will get the other side dishes, not the American sides. Make sense? Hope so! All in all, this will be our home Korean restaurant!

We found this gem serendipitously, and I am so glad we did! If you're looking for authentic Korean cuisine, Korea King is your place. It is tucked into an older strip mall and there is not much by way of decoration or atmosphere, but what it lacks in that department, it makes up in authenticity and flavor. My husband and I ordered the bulgogi for two entree, which came with an order of fried dumplings. They came out perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and juicy inside. When the bulgogi came out, we were able to cook it at the table on a small indoor BBQ, as the dish is traditionally cooked. The meat was super flavorful and the sides were all very good. The kimchee was especially tasty, as well. The dinner came out to be roughly $15 per person, very good value for the quality of food and service! They even had a place for karaoke, which, if you know anything about Korean culture, let's you know this place is totally legit. The only reason for 4 stars is they did not have a liquor license yet and I would have enjoyed some plum wine or a beer. Well worth the visit!

Service was horrible we walked out! Only one girl working, 4 tables, sat us down then never came back, looked over, or acknowledged us at all for over 5 minutes! Worse service ever. Wish I had the opportunity to try their food but lost that with the horrible service!

Went here tonight for the first time thanks to our Groupon and we are glad we did. I was caught off guard a bit because we came on a Friday, at 6 PM, and there was only one other table at the time. The "busiest" it got during the time we were there were 3 tables...including us. A little eerily quiet to say the least, but good thing that didn't scare us off. Pros: 1. The server was great! Very friendly, prompt, outgoing, helpful, courteous, etc. This is considering my husband spilled his soup and shortly thereafter spilled his pop all over the table. 2. The food was good! Everyone was right, the Kimchi here is really good. We got the tofu soup and galbi and shared our meal and it definitely hit the spot for this pregnant lady. Cons: 1. Price!!! We got the steamed dumplings which came with about 8-10 (can't remember) and it was $10 bucks. The rest of the appetizers ranged from $3-$6, but they were all fried and fried did not sound appetizing to me at the time. Also, the tofu soup was $10 dollars and I know someone else mentioned it, but for the amount that you get, $10 was overpriced. (Especially considering it should have had more oysters/shrimp, but instead, consisted of about 80% tofu which is a much cheaper ingredient) 2. Parking lot/Location. This is seriously the worst design of a parking lot ever and we were dodging cars left and right to find a spot. Also, they are tucked away in the corner of the plaza which was a little hard to spot and further congested by the traffic at Romeo's. They could seriously benefit from a better location. We also asked about the Buffet, but apparently they stopped doing it which is too bad because my brother and sister-in-law said it was a good deal at about $8.95/person with galbi being one of the entrees. So all in all, we got two drinks (tea and pop), one appetizer, and two entrees to split and the bill came to $37 before the Groupon. It's really tough to say if I'd be back because I don't feel the portions are adequate for the price. Maybe another awesome tasting Korean restaurant will come to town and add some more competition to the mix....

This place was alright. I dream of good Korean food in Omaha but I'll have to go back home for that or make it myself, but the neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate the kimchi or pickled radish smells. I had the tofu hot pot that was ok. There was no seafood in it, which I knew, or even an egg, but for 9 bucks I was expecting a bit more. Mackerel were the anorexic kind...not the big fat juicy ones. Side dishes were decent but nothing spectacular...however, they had really tasty kimchi. I still will come back because options are few and far between.

Short staffed but friendly waitress. The tv setup in the dining area is interesting. The food was good. Generous with the sides dishes.

Formerly a second-rate Korean restaurant (despite superior kimchi and galbi) in a town with only two Korean restaurants, Korea King hit a home run when they went to buffet for lunch service. The freshest, best kimchi I've ever had. Fantastic flaming pork and spicy squid. A very good version of Chinese chicken curry. Assorted banchan, bulgogi...it's pretty much everything you could hope for from a Korean buffet. My whole family was very happy after a recent visit, and as long as they keep serving up delicious, cheap lunch buffets like they are now, they will be part of our regular rotation. Go check them out.

Korea King is what you would expect from looking at it. A small Korean restaurant with good food and no gimmicks. If you want some Asian themed restaurant with fake terra cotta soldiers and servers in kimonos, go elsewhere. But if you want tasty Korean food and no hassle, try Korea King. I've had better Bulgogi elsewhere, but the Gal-Bi here is very good.

The food is too salty and peppery. Bulgogi should be tender and melt in your mouth good. Here, it is peppery and too chewy.

This place is decent. My favorite Korean place is the one on 108th, right off Q St.

I've been coming to this place for almost a decade. As time has gone one however, this place has gotten crappier with their dishes. Burning pork is what I usually get but I've had some other stuff on the menu, spicy squid and octopus were ok. Their kim chi is amazing and you can request other types of kim chi they normally do not bring out. I had rated this place a 5 star before, but after trying another Korean place and after this place disappointing me for the second time in a row, I demote this to a 2 star.

In my opinion Korea King has the best Korean foods that you can find in Omaha. They have a decent food selection and average prices. The foods are well prepared and marinated. The service has gotten a lot faster than before because they actually have a server (the chef used to do everything before). The amount of food is not very big so I can see that as a downfall for people who have big appetite and want more for their money. However the foods are well prepared and tasty. My favorites are the soon tofu chigae, gal bi and pork bulgogi. If you like pork belly and grill, I would highly suggest the Samgyeopsal. This can serve two persons and comes with a free soup (kimchi or korean miso). They also provide green leaf for meat wraps and side dishes, which is so wonderful If you are a vegetarian I would recommend the bimbimpap. This comes with a fried egg but you can opt it out. Very delicious and healthy rice bowl mixed with various veggies in the hot stone bowl.

I had a feeling this was going to be good when we walked in and the place was so busy. We had a large amount of food and loved the spiciness of it! I would definitely go back for more. You gotta try the green onion Korean pancake! The service was quick even though there was a large crowd and the server was very attentive to our needs.

This is my third time here at Korea King and personally I would like to say that Korea King is the best place to get Korean food. I ordered number 6 and 28. #28 Pork bulgogi was flavorful and a little spicy. All our food came out quick and our server was really nice.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend. Service was good . Food came promptly and tasted delicious. We shared the 2 person spicy bulgogi . It comes with a option of soup (miso/kimchee)or Mandu (korean dumplings) . Portion was enough for 3/4 people . Taste was authentic compared to ones I've tried in Las Vegas and NY

Ahhhh-mazing! First - one lovely waitress who was very busy but super nice! Be prepared to have it take a small bit more than a normal chain restaurant due to this BUT relax, enjoy - food is worth it. Started with fried dumplings, which were standard followed with a great kimchi pancake (get it). Had the tofu/veggie soup (#15). Bulgogi for two - bbq fried at the table. All sides were fresh and amazing. Not too spicy, not too salty. Left feeling satisfied but not busting at the seam. Marinade made for an amazing beef! I wish they had a variety plate or a way to sample different meats. Overall this is a great, small restaurant! Take the couple of extra minutes and enjoy one of the only Korean restaurants in Omaha!

Went here on a Friday night...service was good...we had a party of only 2 but there was a party of like 8 ahead of us who had already been sat down so service was a lil slow...however the the waiter was a very nice guy! The owners son actually and he gave us the onion pancake on the house! Even though they were a lil soggy :/ i had the spicy pork bulgogi which was excellent! All of the side dishes were yummy..how ever my bulgogi was a lil over salted..this was my first time and definitely not my last..there are still a few more korean joints i need to check out here in omaha :-)
