The good news is that you can eat until you're satisfied. The bad news is that it's Asian food and you'll just get hungry again in an hour anyway. It's not very typical to have MONGOLIAN in Omaha. Sure, Chinese places are as common as corn in Nebraska, but Mongolian? When I first heard of it, this was a new concept. I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I visited I was very satisfied. All you can eat, menu items that aren't restricted to a noodle bar, and skilled chefs who know what they're doing. These are attributes to HuHot and I have never experienced a negative here. If you want to gorge yourself in delicious food and feel like you're starving again an hour later, come to HuHot.

Great place to fill up on great Asian food. I like to mix my sauces to get a good flavor that also has a good burn. The cooks always grimace when my food hits the grill then reaches their nostrils. Poor guys. Lol. Last visit there my waitress told me her favorite sauce mixture, I tried it. It was even hotter than what I made. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

My family and I have been going to this HuHot for a long time and it has always been excellent. My father often goes there on his lunches, to the point where they even knew him by name when we'd walk in. However, this particular location seems to be under new management now and I have to say that I am not impressed with certain aspects. As we went to the grill, I noticed that the place was not that busy. There were three cooks at the grill who were not paying attention and we waited for them to realize we were standing there, ready to have our food cooked. When I finally said "excuse me" the cook looked upset that I had interrupted them. Again, I emphasize that the place was not busy at the time. When they were cooking our food, they combined my ingredients, with my mother's. I didn't mind so much but she is a picky eater. Honest mistake probably, but it was upsetting that they did not seem to be paying much attention to what was going on. When the manager came over to deal with the issue, she just said "I'm sorry" and walked off. I feel that the store should have comped her meal on the bill for the inconvenience, or at least suggest that she grab another plate and go back up. I will be giving this store another shot as we have been going there for years. I hope to see an improvement. I will update following my next visit.

Nice selection of food, the beef and fish looked better than the chicken though. Veggie selection was also impressive. Fun to mix up your own sauces and try different combos. Don't skimp on the hot sauce if you like spice, add at least 2 spoonfuls! Great service, we'll be back:)

Visited 1/3/12. My wife and two kids (ages 2 and 8) visited for lunch. They've loved the place in the past and have gone there just about monthly for different occasions. Everything was fine until my wife and son discovered a piece of uncooked chicken in his meal. My wife instructed him to stop eating. He was still hungry due to his meal being cut short, so my wife promised a dessert as a treat. They ordered the s'mores, unclear that this particular dessert came complete with an open flame. They were do-it-yourself s'mores. During the process my 2-year old daughter was burned. She had reached (as 2 year olds often do) toward the pot and flame. As she screamed in pain, my wife jammed her hand into some icewater and told the staff to 'just bring the bill quick.' The best part? They DID. We should not have had to pay for this circus. A brush with raw chicken and bodily harm. I think we'll stay away from now on.

Pros: Good food, low price, fast service Cons: Doesn't settle well many times, sauces/spices lack some flavor Want fast food without the Big Mac or calories that go with it? Come to HuHot, were fast casual is the word and the food is quite good. Pick your meat, veggies, sauces, spices and other goods. Give it to the chef who will fry it up right in front of you. Take it back to your table and enjoy. The prices are pretty good and it's quite a fast meal. The one negative I have is that some of food doesn't settle well. I've got a pretty strong stomach for spices and sauces and some of these lack a little bit in certain areas, making me withhold a five, but for a good, somewhat cheap and fast dinner, HuHot is a good place to go. Lord knows it lacks the saturated fat of the Golden Arches across the street.

Really like the choice to make your own dish. The only thing I do not like is the buffet. I'm a health freak and wish they could do something to make sure everyone's hands are clean before they start grabbing!

T'was hot and spicy, just what I wanted because basically, I constructed it myself. Is that so bad? No, no it is not: thai pad, bean sprouts, broccoli, jalapeno peppers, shredded beef, peppers, onions... and then it got saucy. A few redundancies here and there (garlic hot sauce, chili garlic sauce, garlic spicy hot sauce, spicy hot mega garlic sauce) but if you're savvy, you mix it well and then some Not Mongolians fry it up for you on this massive circular food torture device that's a relative to a McDonald's grill. Only fueled by FLAMES FROM HELL. So it was good. And Boulevard tap beer is a nice complement. And Ashely is your Nebraskan collegiate cutie who puts smiley faces on the check and tries to extract a few extra bucks from forty-somethings. Ahhh, good try Ashely, good try. --#

Been to plenty of these HuHot's in other states. Really good here. Waitress was nice and very fast. Eggrolls were extremly good. Good selection of food and the food area was always clean.

We've always been a fan! I think this location is cleaner than the one on Dodge and it's much closer. I love the Betker's Ginger sauce.

Love HuHots! We eat there quite a bit and see a lot of our friends there. The raw ingredients are fresh. More importantly, Hu Hots is very clean. Something that is very important at every restaurant. Sign up for their Hu Hots Club. They will send you email specials. It can be a bit pricey. Not sure if my kids eat their moneys worth. Give us a few years they will eat them out of business :).
