Having just eaten at 3 BBQ restaurants in Memphis the previous week, my expectations weren't much for BBQ in Omaha, NE. WAS I EVER WRONG. This place was awesome and could compete with the best in Memphis. Best sides dishes I've had in a long time. The beans were perfectly cooked: great flavor and consistency and not mushy like many others. Best potato salad: perfectly cooked potatoes that had just an ever so slight crunch with big pieces of egg. Ribs (dry) were moist, flavorful with a great smoke ring. Sweeter sauce complimented the ribs. If you want superb BBQ in Omaha that competes with the best of Memphis, this is your place. Casual atmosphere with a friendly staff. Reasonably priced too!

This was my first trip to Hartland BBQ I was greeted warmly and quickly by the staff on hand at the time. I announced it was my first time (I always like to see how they respond...) They didn't offer any extra help or suggestions or explanations. This location was a Subway for a long long time. Near Benson High School, I am sure this place does a good business. The dining room was clean, dusted and well organized. I got my food a short time later. I ordered a dinner (1/2 rack) two sides and corn bread. I selected double beans (they didn't have corn today?) The cornbread was a little small (my vote, my preference, I like a good size piece when eating 1/2 rack or more.) The beans were tasty. Probably not my MOST favorite, but I would eat them again for sure. The Ribs. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to ribs. I VERY much dislike a BBQ place who serves a rib with two bites of meat on it. I WANT MEAT ON MY RIBS! AND I was not disappointed. I normally say that Famous Daves offers the most consistent choice of ribs in this city. I am not saying that they are the best, I am saying they are the most consistent. Hartland BBQ is certainly in my top three favorite BBQ places in Omaha, now. Good job, I will be back.

This BBQ was delicious! I was disappointed that it was a Saturday around 5:30 and they were out of several side dishes, but the briscit sandwich more than made up for it. The staff was great. The parking was kind of a pain, but it wouldn't prevent me from coming back.

Maybe I was there on an off day, but it's nothing special. I had the ribs, and brisket. Both were very dry, with no smoky taste.

Can't believe I never reviewed Hartland! This place ranks third in the metro as far as I'm concerned - and that's better than it sounds. The ribs and brisket here are delicious. The pork is tender and moist but boring. The beans are decent but they have this bizarre apple thing going on with them. The other sides are decent but not noteworthy. They sell cold racks for 14.00 when they have them - which is a hell of a deal.

I noticed a few folks here talking about Texas. Now, it's fine to rate things on a global perspective, but this ain't Texas. Comparing Hartland to other Omaha eateries (for that matter, let's include anything between here and KC, where it starts to get a bit more competitive) Hartland is five stars, easy. This is good smoked meat. Light rub, decent bark on the pork and brisket, usually juicy and flavorful (hey, everyone has an off night now and again). They serve a mild and hot version of their homemade sauce, a sweet sauce that's thin but not too vinegary, along with KC Masterpiece. I usually don't bother. The brisket is excellent, the pulled pork is excellent, the baby backs are wonderful. My wife likes the sausage, but it's a bit too sweet and fatty for me; great if you like Polish. What I like to do is get a double meat sandwich with a mix of brisket and pork. I eat the stuff that won't fit on the bun by itself, then hit it with just a tiny bit of the mild sauce and eat the rest as a sandwich. And don't forget the sides: good enough on the baked beans, some nice peppery southern-style green beans, a sweet cucumber salad, and cornbread that could be better in my opinion. But hey, you can't have everything. If it were perfect, I'd spend all my money there. Hey, and now they're open on Sunday!

Great BBQ in Omaha!! I would definitely recommend the ribs so tender they fell right off the bone. The staff was very friendly and the food is reasonably priced.

I am a huge fan of the pulled pork sandwiches. Every time I go, that's what I get. Really good portion at a really good price. Get the pulled pork sandwich special.

Sadly Omaha isn't really a great BBQ town, but Hartland definitely does it's best to fill that void. I've lived here my whole life and in my opinion Hartland is probably the best BBQ you will find in Omaha. The place is very blue collar and the food isn't that expensive. REVISION: So I just tried Boxer BBQ over in Council Bluffs, sadly for Hartland the BBQ across the river is better. If you want the BEST BBQ in the Omaha metro, head across the river to Boxer BBQ. Hartland is really good, but it's not the best.

My bf and I shared a half rack for 15 bucks with two sides and a cakey piece if corn bread. I'm not a huge fan of their sauce but the meat stands on its own so its not needed. Sides were typical except for creamy cucumbers which I will try next time. Looking forward to our next visit. Good take out.

I know this place is getting high marks, but its not that amazing for BBQ Snobs. If you are NOT one...you will love this place. Lets get to it... If you go here, you will hate yourself if you do not order the baby back ribs. That was the balance of my review. Those ribs were the bomb. The end. They make their own sauce, but it comes out in an old Costco-sized Ketchup container, and its Sharpied on the top and says: "Hartland Sweet Sauce." You can barely read it, but its good stuff. The other sauces, sadly, are KC Masterpiece from the local Walmart...which I think is tacky. If you are a BBQ place, either make your own BBQ sauce and offer it solely, or offer other, store bought sauces. But both is strange to me. It's like, here is what we think is amazing, and here is some crap. Enjoy. Be awesome at BBQ sauce or don't offer it. Bad business plan imo. Quick Hitters: The brisket had tons of flavor and tons of grissley fat...no option for lean. DO NOT get the sausage, it doesn't have much taste, and the trade-off for eating sausage is always the taste has to match the unhealth. This is not the case. You will just get fatter and closer to a by-pass surgery with no taste-savoring benefit along the way. No Ice Tea??? You are in the middle of Freaking America and a BBQ place at that...how is it that the only Tea you sell is some store-bought Brisk tea in a bottle behind the counter? Come on folks...brew the freakin tea already! #Fail. If you go there, order Ribs, Ribs, and more Ribs, and their potato salad was bangin too. You'll love the Brisket, if lots of chewy fat doesn't bug you, because the taste is legit and smoked nice...Some fat is fine for me...but this stuff was not just some. The price was good, but a just a tad too pricey for the overall experience.

After partaking of Arthur Bryant's barbeque, it's hard to compare any other barbeque...especially since I'm such a fan of AB's. It was refreshing, though, to come to a small, local establishment and find that the tenants of quality and flavor are not lost. :) Owner and BBQ Master have melded into one for an outstanding product. Having been there several times in the recent past, I can honestly say that I don't get tired of what Hartland has to offer. Usually a sucker for a good deal, I always get the pulled pork or pulled chicken sandwich - a lunchtime special that comes with chips and a drink - very reasonable (and tasty!). When visiting with a friend, he and his daughter shared ribs and brisket - both received two thumbs way up!!! If you're a BBQ sauce fanatic, don't stop at Hartland. Here, they're all about properly prepared and smoked meats. There isn't anything bland or bitter about this place. Be a newbie, get some samples, and let us all know what you think! :)

Been there once, had the chopped brisket sandwich and side of beans. Both were excellent. Brisket moist and lean, beans tangy, with pieces of soft apple that added a bit of crunch and sweetness. Large portion. Looking forward to getting back there!

"Where you can taste the smoke" is a good slogan for Hartland BBQ, and at $6 for a lunch that included a healthy portion of delicious smoked pork with chips and a drink, the value is definitely there. Still, I felt a little disappointed there weren't more options. Sure for the 'dinners' you can have the option of two sides (baked beans, creamy cucumbers, green beans, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread or chips)... I don't know what else I could want, but I have a sneaking feeling it was macaroni & cheese. Drink options were standard from a machine. I understand the appeal of the convenience factor here, but to me it can't be a 5-star BBQ joint without homemade lemonade. Still, the spoon and fork dispenser is worth a trip. That thing was intriguing. I believe two of the sauces were homemade, but the third seemed to be Cookies (also acceptable). Unfortunately none of them really set my heart on fire. Still, the reason that people go there is the meat. And there, options are plentiful. It's all smoked on-site... chopped pork, chicken, or brisket by the pound, smoked sausage, half or whole chickens and racks of ribs. This is a meat-lover's haven, and definitely the best BBQ sandwich I've had in town.

Ordered pulled pork sandwich and bbq beans to go. The BEST, but tastily different, bbq beans I have ever eaten. The pulled pork was done perfectly with a nice but not overpowering smokey flavor. But, unfortunately, more. Grabbed the food and got to my destination then opened the bag. No spoon, no napkins and no bbq sauce which is probably delicious based upon the other two items. I failed to check the bag...yes indeed my fault...or was it really? I will definitely try it again because the food was so very, very good.

  • Jamie W.

Moist and flavorful. No need for sauce because the quality of the BBQ is so great, but if you do, they have some tasty sauces as well. The cucumber side was refreshing and creamy. Restaurant itself is vey clean and well kept.

Consistently the best Pulled Pork in Omaha. There are times when I can recreate a similar taste and moisture and times when I can recreate the bark, but never both. Brisket or pork sandwich with a bag of chips and a drink for a great price makes for a good, cheap lunch. Baby Back Ribs - Sampled on a couple occasions. Bad the first time, ok the second time. I won't bother trying them again. Brisket - Decent chopped up on a sandwich otherwise forgetable. Sides - Middle of the road, but at least I think they were making them in house. Bottom Line - I don't throw out "best of" easily, but I always crave this pulled pork and the lunch prices are hard to beat.

By no means am I a seasoned veteran when it comes to all things BBQ. That being said I can say that this ranks right up there with the best I've ever had. Even now I can taste the savoury brisket and feel the soft sweet meaty ribs as they tore away from the bone. Typically when faced with a situation where faced with unhealthy amounts of meat I try to limit the gluttony but here... here you can't help but indulge. Bring your stretchy pants!

Amazing! We ventured up to Benson for the Benson day parade and festival and we smelled this heavenly scent. We had to follow, it was smoky and as we got closer, the hungrier we all got. They were still in the process of opening, but the owner welcomed us, a group of 7, with two nice heaps of samples. The brisket, moist, soft and like heaven on the tongue. The pulled pork.......melted in our mouths. We ordered. Our total for our orders was inexpensive compared to how much meat was in our baskets. There was more than enough to satisfy everyone. No BBQ sauce was needed, the perfectly smoked meat was enough. I'm not a big meat eater, turned off by the smell, texture and fat. But this place, this place actually makes me want to eat meat. I had to give the owner a hug, his smoked meat was absolutely fantastic in my mouth. We will definitely go back....next week, and the week after.

I was introduced to Hartland when our friends had it catered in for a party. The chopped pork was very good, so I thought we better give it a try and see how the other meats and sides rate. Came in on a Thursday night late, and ordered a 2 meat combo with pork and brisket. My 2 sides were baked beans and coleslaw. Slaw was good, lots of celery seed, but crunchy and not too creamy. The beans were a huge miss. Reminded me of these sweet and sour carrots my grandma used to make at holidays...not my favorite. It had been years since I had experienced that flavor: green peppers, pineapple juice and vinegar! Somehow Hartland must have found her sauce recipe because it is identical....but I'm not here to talk about the beans, I came for the meat, which was excellent! Pork was in juicy, smokey chunks, perfect for dipping or nibbling. Brisket had a nice crust, it was a little on the dry side, but still had nice flavor. MY favorite BBQ place is in Council Bluffs, but one can't always cross the river for succulent pork. I will be back to Hartland in the near future. The prices are right, very reasonable and a very clean establishment.

This is the best place in Omaha if you are into Carolina BBQ. Though it's not listed as such on the menu, get the pork sandwich, a side of coleslaw, and some of the Carolina vinegar sauce (not tomato-based) available on the table with the other BBQ sauces. Then top your sandwich with the sauce and the coleslaw and you have Carolina-style barbecue in Omaha. The brisket and ribs are great too. The BBQ is more Midwest-style (similar to KC-stye; not identical though). There's not a bad choice on the menu. Also, to clarify, I am a life-long Nebraskan but apparently with southern tastes as I often go for the pork and "Derek's Carolina sauce".

Let me say first that I don't have reception here, so I never check in... If I could, I'd be the duke by now lol. Overall (9/10) Food (9/10) Price (9/10) Atmosphere (8/10) I'd have to say the best Q in the O. Brisket is on point, ribs are tasty, and pulled pork is awesome. I'd have to say, that the brisket is the best thing here. The sides are alright, and I usually get beans and slaw. The price? RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Come here for lunch for a brisket sandwich and you will not be disappointed. You may be saying, "what about KC" or "what about Texas" etc etc, this brisket holds up to those places. I've tried bbq from around the area, and I'm still happy to come back here. This is a 5 because it's in Omaha, open 7 days a week, inexpensive, and is consistently tasty. Will I be back? YES

My only trip to Hartland BBQ was disappointing. After reading other reviews I decided to try it out. We got brisket sandwiches which were not the greatest. I have had better BBQ in Omaha. The place sure isn't much for the eye either. I thought for what I got, I didn't get my monies worth. I am sad that I didn't like it, because it is so close, but I would rather go to other places for BBQ.

Traveling in Omaha for business and after one of my meetings I was ready for lunch. Went on Yelp and put in the search word "lunch" since I didn't have anything particular on my mind. This barbecue place came up and I was only a couple of miles away. The restaurant is basic and set up fast food style where you order at the counter and you can either take your food to go or sit and eat it there. I'm a carnivore and I love barbecue. You can order the brisket or pulled pork by weight so I ordered both. I wasn't in the mood for sides just good meat. Both were fantastic! The flavor was very intense and you could really taste the meat. What I especially liked was that there was no sauce added. You could add any sauce that you wanted. I'm so sick of barbecue places drenching the meat with sauce so that you can't even taste the meat. Not here. The meat was very tender and well smoked. If you like barbecue I would highly recommend this place!

Good flavor on the Pulled (chopped) pork. Also like the brisket flavor. Mix up the spicy and homemade BBQ sauce and you can't go wrong. The corn bread is also DELICIOUS! More of a cake than bread.

  • Ross C.

I've tried a lot, but this is the best pulled pork sandwich in Omaha. I can't speak for the brisket or ribs because I can't bring myself to pass up an opportunity to eat the pulled pork sandwich. The meat is moist and full of flavor, doesn't need much sauce. For sauce, I mix 1/2 Hartland sweet and 1/2 spicy. I always go for lunch and get the special (though it's available anytime)....pork sandwich, chips and a drink for $6. The pork is heaped on, I usually take 1/2 of it off the sandwich, eat the sandwich, then have the rest of the pork as dessert. Kids meals are cheap ($2.75) and plenty of food. The service is always friendly and fast. Not much for atmosphere (an old Subway), but I'm not one to care if the food is good. Thankfully, I live out west and this limits how much I go to Hartland. Otherwise it would become an issue.

No doubt, this place has some delicious BBQ. My girlfriend and I were in Omaha for a few days, and we went here on our first night and ordered some pork BBQ sandwiches. Of course, if we had wanted to order something else, we would've been out of luck. Yes, it was an hour before closing, but my girlfriend wasn't even able to say "chicke-" before the lady behind the counter barked "PORK ONLY" at her - twice. The ice queen warmed a bit after some of her regulars came in after us, and she was almost smiling by the time we paid. But our first few minutes in the place was like been an unwanted guest in a prison. 5 stars for the food, 2 stars for the staff. Oh, and +1 for the amazing BBQ sauce.

Ok world...why didn't you tell me there was damn good BBQ in Omaha and I didn't have to drive to Kansas City on a quest for meat goodness. Well I found meat goodness there to but when I got a piece of this places hot meat in my mouth(no gutter pun intended) I almost took a star away from Aurther Bryan because this place rocked. Yea the menu is small but its BBQ...you can't exactly make a 4 page menu out of BBQ. Show me some meat, sides and beverages and you got yourself a winner. I had the "by the pound" meats, .5lb of pork and .5lb of brisket. My special lady friend got the 3 bone dinner. All the meats were awesome. The pork was moist and easy to pull apart. Same with the ribs and the brisket. Couple in their choices of sauces and I was a pretty happy kid. The sides included baked beans and some creamy cucumber which was a surprise to me. The surprise being that I liked it a lot. So all in all I'm glad I yelped this place because I will go here for my BBQ...so long Famous Daves!! Eat up Minions!!

Oh, this place was awesome. I had a beef brisket AND pulled pork sandwich together. So deliciously tender and moist, with that smoke flavor we all know and love. My boyfriend had the ribs. He's tried ribs in Alabama and North Carolina, and he's said Hartland ribs are the best he's had so far. This is a no frills place---it looks like a fast food joint. But who cares? All that matters is the food. And it's worth it.

Possibly the best BBQ in Omaha. My fav is the smoked chicken. Served sans sauce, with 3 types of sauce on the condiment table. Very casual - order at the counter. Staff is friendly and efficient. Great $5.50 lunch special - pork, chicken, or sausage sandwich, chips and a drink. I have also ordered the ribs and whole chicken for take-out. Reasonably priced for the quality/quantity of food you get.

Hartland BBQ is one of the best barbecue joints in the Omaha metro area. But the ribs were not the highlight of the trip. If your ribs aren't that good, you're not going to make my top tier of barbecue places, but this place won me over because the pork was soooo good. Between my friend and I we ordered the pulled pork platter (pulled pork sandwich on a bun), brisket platter (shredded brisket on a bun), a half-rack of ribs, and a side of cole slaw. The platters each came with a bag of chips and a drink. The price was $28 for all that, and there was plenty to eat. First, let me start with the ribs. The ribs were tender and meaty, and they were not served slathered in sauce--which is a huge plus. They came off the bone pretty well, too. On the other hand they lacked flavor because it seemed like they skimped a bit on the rub before putting them in the smoker. I also noticed that Hartland leaves the membrane on the bottom of the rack, which I don't like. I think it hinders the flavor when you leave the membrane on there. I give the ribs a B-. The brisket sandwich was decent. The brisket wasn't as flavorful as I've had, but it was obviously not brisket from a tub either. It was a bit on the dry side and my buddy wondered whether the meat was from the flat side of the brisket--I think he's right. The brisket is shredded, not sliced either, which I found unusual. I'd give the brisket a C. The pork sandwich was incredible. This is easily the best barbecue pork I've had in town, and I usually shy away from the pulled pork. It was strange to me that I enjoyed the pork more than the ribs--that was a first for me. The pork had a great smoke flavor, was very moist, and again, had the sauce served on the side. I'd give the pork an A-. The only sides we got were Lay's potato chips (you could have also chosen barbecue potato chips) and cole slaw. There is no need to speak of the potato chips, but the cole slaw was very good. It appeared to have been made onsite, not from a Hy-Vee deli tub. It had just the right hint of sweet and tanginess that I like in my cole slaw and was very fresh. I hesitate to give a grade for the sides since I didn't try enough to grade Hartland in this category. There were three sauces available from a pump dispenser: a sweet, a spicy, and KC Masterpiece (mild). I tried the sweet and spicy because I know what KC Masterpiece tastes like--and both were okay. I'd give the sauce selection a C+ because they had some variety and they actually made their own sauce. If you like barbecue, you should give Hartland a visit. They definitely know what they're doing. Stay away from the brisket, but load up on the pork.

Thank you, Yelpers, for your reviews of Hartland BBQ, which prompted us to give the place a try. My husband and I ordered the three-bone (rib) special, which comes with two side dishes and a square of cornbread for $7.95. Our son ordered the kids' meal (chicken sandwich, chips, and a drink) for $2.75. We chose the baked beans and potato salad for our sides. The potato salad is really good but typical; the baked beans, though, have little snippets of green pepper and other unexpected-but-tasty ingredients. If there is one weakness, I'd say it's the cornbread. For the meat, you choose the sauces that you want and pour them on the meat at the table; we enjoyed experimenting and trying the different sauces without committing to just one. Overall, this is *really* good food that is reasonably priced. When you're passing through Omaha, stop and give it a try.

While visiting relatives in the Omaha area, I found this 'que joint. First off, I have to state that I'm a BBQ snob. I do my own smoking, so my expectations are high, and probably higher than most Joes. Ordered the half-rack of ribs. Believe they were using St. Louis cut ribs, as they were pretty meaty, unlike baby backs. Darn good, not overdone, but a little on the bland side. Didn't get the big smoke flavors others mentioned. And they serve 'em nekkid; no sauce added, which can be good, as it lets the meat flavor shine through, not getting lost in a drowning of sauce. Or less desirable, if you prefer them sauced, as the sauces (3 kinds, one with what I think was Habenero in it!) will be cold and not caramelized. Think the ribs could've used more seasoning. Wife and kiddos got the pulled pork and brisket. Both were fine, but the PP could've used a little more "bark" in it. Still, not bad at all, especially considering the price, which is downright cheap. Brisket was average, but no complaints here. Did not try any of the sides, but walked away full. As I said, the ribs were plenty meaty. Talked to one of the owners for a bit. Real friendly guy who is proud of his food, and knows a thing or two about real bbq. Oh, and the girl working the counter, she's a keeper. Man, took 5 different orders from our party, didn't write one thing down, and nailed them all perfectly with no mistakes. Now that's a person you keep. And she worked lightning-fast! Perhaps an improvement on the decor would be nice. Oh, and serve some suds. Beer will prolly increase traffic by 25%. Will be in the Omaha area again at Christmas, will try again. Suggest you do the same if you want some BBQ not from some crappy chain restaurant.

Had the 2 meat dinner w/ brisket & pork. Sides were baked beans & potato salad. Brisket was a little dry, but everything else was delicious. Pork was as good as I've had anywhere. Friendly staff. Sliced apples in the beans was new, but really good.

My parents recommended this place and we all went. Once I saw the "Rated Omahas Best" seal from the city's best places, I knew I was in for a treat. The brisket is delicious and the ribs are tender and juicy. The coleslaw and potato salad was delicious. The staff is very welcoming and makes you feel at home! I hope to go back next time I'm in town!

Best Bar-B-Que in The Midwest. Everything is made in house. Service is prompt and polite. Everything from the smoked meats to the sides are more than adequate proportions. The cornbread for desert is like heaven in your mouth. Rich and moist! All around amazing!.

Brisket and pork are cooked perfectly, nice amount of smoke and great bark on it. Very tender too. Chicken sandwiches and sausage link are both very good. My choice is a double meat, half pork half brisket. Great sandwich & huge. Never tried the ribs, but have heard good things. Sauces are OK, nothing special. The staff has always been great. The owner will always chat with customers, asking for feedback. Several times I have seen him give samples to people who are new to the place and trying to decide what to have. Very reasonable prices. This place is a must eat for BBQ in Omaha. Seating is somewhat limited, so if going in a big group, try to avoid the hours from about 11:30 - 12:30.

Review #200... I was waiting for something truly special for this review. This place truly, is a special place. I live in Phoenix, not known for it's BBQ, so one thing I had to do in the midwest was have decent BBQ, and after a quick yelp search, I was led to Hartland BBQ. When you pull up in the parking lot, it smells delicious, and they have a huge smoker outside. Inside, it is very clean, and the staff is beyond friendly... this is a HUGE point with me. There are no attitudes here, just friendly, eager to help you people. I told them it was my first time and they gave me small samples of the pork, brisket, and chicken. I was pretty sure the brisket and pork were the best things I'd ever tasted, so I got a brisket dinner. It was delicious. The beans were interesting, with a few fruits and veggies thrown in there. Cornbread was among the best I can remember, as there is just something about a sugary sweet glazy layer on top of the bread that makes it amazing. The brisket itself was smoky, tender, and flat out delicous, though I enjoyed the pork a little more during another visit. The pork is just fall apart tender and has a little smoky, little sweet, little salty taste to it. I realize that I have, before Hartland, NEVER had real BBQ. NEVER. The owner of the restaurant recognized I was alone and came to the table and talked for about 20 minutes. He was a very nice guy, and remembered me the next week when I came back. This place truly, if not for the food, then for the way it is run, a winner. I will go back here first thing everytime I am in Omaha, and you should too.

First of all, let me start by saying...I rarely eat meat, always chicken! I had lunch at Hartland and let me tell everyone in the U.S...The brisket was terrific...THE RIBS...OUT OF THIS WORLD!! I could only eat three, they were so meaty and tender, no need for sauce, it was definitely worth the second time within 1 week to eat there again. I live in California and there is NOTHING here that can compare to this food. The creamy cucumbers are great and the fresh potato salad...yum!! The staff treated us very well, awsomely friendly. I went on a Thursday early afternoon, busy, but I can definitely taste the reason why! 'I'LL BE BACK"!!!

We arrived from Lincoln after Gopher-Cornhusker game at 7:55 not realizing they closed at 8:00. The manager, Brandy told us to come in and she would take our order. We had a full rack of baby back ribs and sides of potato salad and baked brands. We ribs were awesome and the meat fell off the bone. The mild and sweet sauces were great. The baked beans had a slight spice and smokey taste to them. The service was fantastic.

Food is good, customer service is lousy. I asked why I would be charged $3.50 for 2, 8 oz containers of cole slaw and only $1.50 for 1, 8 oz container. That is more money if I buy 2 of the same. Some places cut you a break for buying more than one of an item, but charge more for buying items? That is crazy and is even wrong. She told me if I didn't like it I don't have to come there. I said I won't, ever again. One customer lost. She could care less! I wonder what ever happened to customers being important and valuable. Are we so used to getting ripped off these days we put up with anything? Do the math, its rediculous!

Huge rave for this place, a real find! The brisket sandwiches are meaty and delicious! No gristle or fat. They have various sauces for your taste. Coleslaw and beans are excellent! They also have potato salad. It's a simple, clean place with friendly people. We will return again & again! Prices for a two meat dinner are around $14 each, a bargain for all the meat you get. Ladies might have enough for making a sandwich the next day for lunch.

I will need to come back here and try something else such as the brisket or pulled pork, because my first trip to Hartland was less than flattering, which is unfortunate because my buddy talked this place up to the high heavens and I trust his opinion. I got the half-rack dinner and the ribs were just OK. Very nice hickory flavor but I truly thought they were spare ribs! They were very meaty indeed and large for baby backs, which is a good thing I guess. What I found to be down-right insulting is that they left the membrane/silverskin on the underside of the ribs! What an inexcusable cardinal sin and a sheer sign of laziness, comparable to serving me large shrimp that hasn't been deveined. So naturally I had to peel this inedible shit off each and every rib. I suppose if I complained the cook would come out and say "we leave that in to contain the natural juices and prevent the rack from drying out!" I didn't complain but my response would've been "The ribs were very dry, you leave the membrane on because you're lazy". I had to use more sauce than I would normally use, and I tried every sauce from their ghetto dispensers and I can assure you there's nothing special there! Let's talk about sides. She suggested chips so I thought "cool maybe they make their own chips" but I was pretty offended when she whipped out a tiny elementary lunch edition of Lays from under the counter. Wow! No thanks, can I have potato salad instead?! The potato salad tasted like what I would get from Wal-Mart if I diced up some dill pickles and mixed them in. I also got a side of beans which were not too spicy, not too sweet, not too anything - bland, like they added a few things to a canned product. The cornbread is an utter failure, shamelessly served in a zip-top bag to ensure off-putting condensation and stickiness. Can you imagine the texture of a year-old stale twinkie? Also, they make their cornbread in a casserole dish and then portion it in squares. Muffins or a sliced loaf would be a much better application, and I must say putting it in a zip-top bag is beyond stupid. The sides are just awful so don't waste your money because I had one or two bites of each and that was it. The meal cost me $16 and it wasn't worth half that. I guess I need to try something else to determine if this hype is truly warranted. As far as ambiance is concerned, if you like hearing the ladies jive along to the moldy oldies with their annoying smoke-laden voices, I recommend dining in. Oh, and get this: they didn't have iced/sweet tea, mac & cheese, corn on the cob, or wet naps... at a BBQ joint!

A little hole in the wall place, but I was on a quest to find something edible in this nowhere town. Had the ribs. They were very tender and moist. They sure know how to make ribs. Half-rack was enough for this big guy.

Do I love it? I do. The meat is great, the sides are stellar, the prices are reasonable. And they don't advertise. How great is that? Nice to have someone who respects my time and doesn't think my attention is for sale. Tip: let them know it's your first time, and they'll give you a bite of each of their meats to sample. Yum!

Tasty BBQ! Comes without sauce so you can pick your own which I like because I hate when I order a specific sauce and I don't like it. We went with the 2-meat combo and a full rack of ribs. The Brisket and Pork were awesome, Juicy and delicious, not dry or over cooked. The Ribs were divine and we will be going back for more fo sho! You MUST get Corn bread as it is far and away THE BEST corn bread I have ever had! We went at 6:00 on a Saturday and it was almost empty, a few people came in and got take out. But the restaurant is clean and kid friendly. ENJOY!

Service could be a bit more friendly. There seems to be a difference in welcoming behavior for locals vs. out of towners. Well, if you don't mind that then yes the food is worth stopping by for some good solid barbecue. Prices are reasonable: $11 to 14 for a dinner plate. The sides are decent but not that outstanding: baked beans, potato salad, corn bread OK. But the meat is really what you come for and the brisket and pulled pork were outstanding: perfect smoked flavor and tenderness. Note, most folks order as take out since the space is limited and the dining tables are not that clean or appealing.

This placed just opened up a few months ago and I think it is great. I've already eaten there about a dozen times. They have great lunch specials and dinners are reasonably priced. You can spend anywhere from $4.50 for a brisket sandwich up to around $20 for a rack of ribs. The ribs are tasty but not much meat on them (no spare ribs either). I would recommend for a first timer to get the 2 meat dinner with brisket and pork, baked beans and slaw. It even comes with a chunk of cornbread. For the money, it's the best around. Note: The "Hartland" bbq sauce is ok, but I normally go for the "hot" bbq sauce. It's damn tasty on some brisket....

Not the best BBQ I've had, but pretty good. To be fair I lived in Texas for more than a decade where BBQ is a big deal. Pulled pork was good, sauce was good. Sides were just ok. If you are in the mood for some Que this will scratch the itch.

Worth the hassle of limited parking and small tables. Best BBQ within 20 miles. Get there early if you want the chicken, which is very moist and flavorful. Ribs good enough that I don't bother with the sauce, which by itself tastes good.

I went there in 10/2009 during a business trip to Omaha. I liked their BBQ very much. This is the 2nd time I visited, also for business trip. (in 2/2010 very cold) The food is consistently good. The ribs are meaty. The pork and the brisket are really good. Their hot BBQ sauce has a very nice kick. The baked bean is on the sweet side, but the bits of celery and onion provided a good balance. The cole slaw is average. I will definitely come back whenever I get another chance to visit Omaha. (hopefully not in winter .............)

I may have written a quick review of this place months ago, but it's time for a proper tribute: Without a doubt, the best ribs in Omaha. Served dry (you can add sauce on your own, but these are so good they will blow your mind without), Hartland's ribs are smoky without being ruined by that smoky flavor. Get there early because they sell out by dinner, and if you're lucky you can get a rack from yesterday at a nice discount and just reheat at home. Ribs aren't your thing? That's okay, because the brisket is damn tasty and the pork is UNBELIEVABLE. Just got carry out there a few days ago and was taking my girlfriend for her first visit. While everything we ordered was pretty phenomenal, the pork was the most impressive surprise for me (I usually just get ribs). It had that wonderful dark bark that the best slow cooked BBQ gets, while still being juicy enough to just fall apart at the touch of a fork. I'm still daydreaming about that meat. Sides are good, especially the baked beans (flavored with jalepenos and apples!) and the slaw. Cornbread was moist and yummy as well. Stop by for one of their great lunch deals and try the pulled pork sandwich if you aren't ready to drop coin on the ribs or dinners. Also, if I'm not mistaken, they had a sign that "Kids Eat Free." Lucky kids! As a "restaurant," the ambience leaves something to be desired, but in my opinion there are few things more lame than a fancy BBQ restaurant. Stop eating at Famous Daves.

  • Stephen F.

Best bbq pork ribs in the Midwest! They are so lean, meaty and smokey that very little sauce is needed. It's a small shop that focuses on the meat and not the ambiance, but it's well worth the trip. I also recommend the cucumber salad.

I rate BBQ restaurants on taste and quality of meat, spices, and sauces, not how nice the furnishings are. That being said, I think this is one of Omaha's finest BBQ joints, if not the best.

Respectable barbeque at a reasonable price with an absence of atmosphere. They seem to do a pretty brisk business, and it's deserved. It's not Lockhart, TX, but it's good.

The food came up fast and it was good. We had pulled pork, ribs and brisket. The ribs were tender and excellent flavor. The pulled pork was equally good. The brisket had good flavor but it was dry. Two of the three sauces were good. The seating area is small so be prepared to pull tables together if you dine in. I would recommend the place and go back.

OUTSTANDING BBQ!!!! I cooked BBQ contests on the West Coast for a spell there and this is as close as I've found to competition BBQ in a restaurant. Excellent chopped brikset sandwich. Well seasoned, tender, lots of tasty bark. Baby backs were cooked to perfection, meat coming clean off the bone, but still some bite to the meat. Perfect. The owner was as nice as they come, as was the woman working the counter. If still I lived in Omaha, I'd eat here every day! Go eat here. If a BBQ snob like me was impressed, you will be too.

3.5-4 overall. I was in the mood for some BBQ, and my local favorite was closed, so why not try something new! Hartland is located just outside of Benson on Radial. I ordered a slab of their St Louis style spare ribs to go, along with a side of their beans, and corn bread. I am more of a Baby Back Rib person myself, but their spare ribs were definitely meaty. Since I got them to go, they were very well wrapped, so they were still hot when I got home. With a liberal slathering of their hot bbq sauce, the ribs were good, but in my opinion, lacked a real smoke ring and some bark. they were definitely good, and hit the spot, just not my favorite in Omaha. On the other hand, my wife raved about them! The beans were 'different', not really sure what I thought of them. Sweet from some apple, but with Jalapeño, they were unique for sure, but just okay. The Cornbread though was a thing of beauty. Moist, flavorful, and almost cake-like. Some of the best Cornbread I can remember having. Overall, its a nice local BBQ joint, that I will be back to (when my favorite place is closed again).

Average bbq but pretty filling. The cashier let us sample pork, brisket, and chicken, which was nice. But the meats I found were dry. I got the chicken sandwich only because it was the most non-dry meat I tasted- but put some Kansas City and hot bbq sauce on there and it's A-OK. Also got to try the ribs- again, dry. Eh, I guess if you're really craving bbq and you were close, this might be an okay option but I'd pass.

Stopped by for lunch. Pretty busy. Not a lot of room for a line. Order at the counter. Only about 10-12 tables. Got the two meat dinner (choice of pork, brisket or sausage) with two sides and cornbeard. Goes for 13.50. I tried the dinner with pork, brisket, baked beans and coleslaw. Pork was tender with good flavor, but not a lot of smoke. Unfortunately the brisket was a bit dry and not a whole lot of flavor. Baked beans were delicious and had peppers, onions and apple. Very good. Coleslaw was also nice. You have four sauces to choose from; sweet, KC, spicy and a vinegar based sauce. Tried them all and they were good. I'd stop here again when on this side of town, but not go out of the way to get the barbecue.

Not good BBQ. Don't go here and waste your money. Even Bakers' ribs that they cook up outside every so often is better (and that is bad!)!

  • Kim J.

The ribs were good. I wanted to like this place. I love BBQ. And like I said, I ribs were good. It was the rest of the stuff that was bad. I thought the sides were fair. The cornbread which I was excited about was very cold and dry. Even room temperature would have been better. I took my son and he got the chicken sandwich. The chicken was cold (as was the bun--not room temp. but cold). It's just something about that which made it unappetizing. There are several sauces available which were alright. I would probably eat the ribs again, which I said were good. But because I didn't like much of anything else, I'll probably stay away.

I already feel like a meat glutton for writing this. Ahem. Hartland has been my go-to local spot for BBQ for years. The fact that it's only a little over a mile from my house helps. Convenience aside, Hartland has some mighty fine racks-o-ribs, smoked right outside this little Benson eatery for all to see and smell. (Mmm. Burning flesh.) Every time I've had the ribs, they've have been moist and tender. If you're getting a rack or two to go, they give them to you wrapped in plastic, which is kind of weird and messy to unravel when you get home -- but hey, this place is no frills to the max. Do you expect them to unwrap your ribs for you, you pampered little baby? Hell no. Anyway, as saucy of a guy as I typically am, the ribs actually don't need much sauce. They shine on their own. Still, if you're into slathering everything with sugary ketchup-based goodness, they have a few sauces to choose from, from sweet to smoky to spicy. Hartland focuses on making great BBQ and they've definitely accomplished that. It's a divvy little spot that has an odd fishing-motif. The service is adequate and the lines are never too long. I can see this place only getting better and better over the years.

Hartland BBQ is a simple, cheap, and downright delicious choice for barbeque. I was craving some comfort food and got the pulled pork sandwich. After dousing it in the mild barbeque sauce, I was amazed that food this cheap could taste so good. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I'll definitely be coming back.

  • Matthew D.

For Omaha, this is pretty good BBQ. If this were in Kansas City, it wouldn't receive 4 stars, though. I got the chopped chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed, but it didn't have much BBQ flavor to it. The meat comes dry and you add the sauce of your choice, so I expected a bit more smoked/bbq flavor to the meat, but it tasted like normal chicken. I also got a side of the potato salad, which I thought was pretty good. The sauce was pretty good, but nothing amazing, as well. All in all, it was good for the area. Considering it seems hard to find good BBQ in Omaha, I'll definitely be back.

Brisket was very tender. House sauces are tasty. Baked beans had apple slices in them, so good, and also try the potato salad. $14 for a dinner plate of brisket, two sides a corn cake, and a drink. Definitely enough to fill up.

  • Chad K.

Ribs are very good. Tasty bark on them and some good smokiness. Brisket is very good. Moist and flavorful. Sausage is good. I'd prefer a hot link to standard smoked sausage, but theirs is decent. Pulled pork was very good too. Overall, excellent BBQ. Still need to try their chicken and I wish they offered Burnt Ends. BBQ sauce comes in three varieties: Sweet, KC, and Hot. I believe the Sweet and Hot are house sauces made by Hartland BBQ. The KC is just some mass market BBQ sauce for people that prefer it. The Sweet is a little too sweet for me. The Hot is very good and not overly hot. Iced Tea is from a fountain and thus awful. I didn't care for the baked beans (tasted like someone dumped pickle juice in them) and I didn't care for the green beans (out of a can). Cornbread is tasty but it's more of a dessert cake than anything. A little too sweet. This is a common problem I have with a lot of BBQ joints. Their BBQ is superb but the sides suck. I've gotten used to it and don't expect much from my sides anymore. Service is mostly friendly. They can be a little impatient (they sort of think everyone that walks through the door is a regular and has the menu memorized and knows what they want). Restaurant is clean. Restrooms are tiny, but clean. The only other BBQ in the Omaha metro area that compares with this place is probably Swine Dining BBQ in Bellevue.

I came for lunch one day with a few of my coworkers and got a brisket sandwich and a full rack of ribs to share. The lady at the counter was very nice and offered us some generously sized samples of the pork, chicken, and brisket. Unfortunately, they were all pretty dry. I didn't say anything at first because I thought "good BBQ" from this area tastes like that, but apparently I was wrong. My other coworkers also thought it was really dry, but wanted to give the sandwiches and ribs a shot with some sauce. With sauce over the meat it ended up tasting alright. Everything was also really filling, which is suprising given hat the sandwiches didn't look all that big. Overall, this place was alright, but I wouldn't go out of way to come back.

Keeping it short and simple... Ribs: amazingly tender. No sauces necessary. Brisket: dry. Sides: cornbread, coleslaw and potato salad. Pretty damn good and a large portion in my opinion. Service: excellent. Efficient and accommodating to everyone.

Best BBQ in Omaha. The pulled pork is great for takeout parties. The sausage is massive and delicious.

  • Robert B.

This place seemed decidedly average to me. I had the brisket sandwich with baked beans. The brisket was room temperature when it was handed to me straight from the kitchen. The quality of the meat was fine, it just wasn't even warm. The baked beans were nothing special. Usually my reviews are a bit more florid, but I don't see any reason to get too hysterical here. This is an average BBQ place, nothing more. It just further proves that the "Omaha's Best" awards are usually a sign that the business is mediocre.

I'll be honest, I had been living in Omaha for about half a year before first eating at Hartland BBQ, and I had started to slip into an emotional depression. Completely unrightfully so as well, I've got an awesome friend group, family, job ect, it just felt like something was missing. And then I had the three bone special at Hartland for lunch one day about a week ago. For $10 and change I got four ribs (misleading meal title? I ain't mad) beans, potato salad, a drink, some cornbread and all the house made sauce I could pump. Service was ridiculously quick and a touch candid, but I don't need to be romanced when someone is shoving BBQ in my face at breakneck speeds. The main thing I noticed about the ribs before I took my maiden bite; the colors. Perfect Maillard browning on the exterior, and the cross section showed a visible, flawless smoke ring. I'll attach a picture, but for those of you who don't know a smoke ring occurs when meat is smoked under perfect conditions, causing the smoke to penetrate the meat creating a visible "ring" of deliciousness on cut cross sections of the meat. The first bite brought tears to my eyes. I blinked them away so as not to embarrass myself, but as I looked out the window of the smallish dining room, the overwhelming rekindling of the feeling that the world still has items of true beauty and astonishment such as these simple ribs was almost too much to comprehend. The ribs were cooked perfectly. Aforementioned visible smoke ring, seasoned well, tender, but not obnoxiously so. The man who made these knew what he was doing. I tried all of the red sauces, all well balanced and tasty as hell. The spicy was definitely spicy. Beans and potato salad were both phenomenal as well, and the cornbread was sweet, gooey goodness. I felt like Frank Underwood eating at Freddy's for the first time. And for $10 too, fuck me right? Hands down favorite BBQ place in Omaha so far. I'd heavily recommend it for anyone who is struggling emotionally and wants inspiration towards the beauty and majesty this world has to offer.

I thought they were good. Try the baked beans for sure. They use apples in them along with some type of amazing seasoning. The sauces are good but taste pretty close to each other. This type of BBQ is a dry meat smoke. I'm more of a fan of meat that falls off the bone and coated in sauce. Still a good choice to try at least once.

Tough to give a poor review for a small business but it is what it is. Brisket - asked for an end piece but it doesn't matter you're going to get the same DRY DRY piece of meat regardless Pulled Pork - generally not a fan and this version was a bit more disappointing than most. No bark or smoked wood flavoring...at all. Baby Back Ribs - wrapped in foil while resting...ruins the bark (if there was one) so there is no spice or smoke that comes through...it's like steaming them. Bleh Baked Beans were different but ok. You can tell they are house made...green peppers and apples thrown in to spice it up. Not really a baked bean dish but it's ok. Coleslaw crunchy and pretty tasty. Cornbread was similar to what you would get in the South. Sweet and moist...ok. This was the top rated BBQ place in Omaha with pretty consistent ratings from most customers so your mileage may vary.

I had high hopes for this place based upon their solid four-star review. I walked away feeling like they were just average. Where do I start. First, we ordered a whole piece of chicken. I felt like it was a little dry, and frankly, I feel like I could've gotten a better whole chicken from the rotisserie section at hy-vee or target. The ribs were really meaty and tender, but I would've appreciated a little bit more of a smoky flavor coming through. I felt like they needed some sauce. In regards to sides, we got the green beans, baked beans and creamy cucumbers. My favorite was the Green beans. I would say the baked beans were good, but still average and in regards to the creamy cucumbers I thought they had a little bit too much mayonnaise. Overall, it was good, but in my book just average. I don't really feel the need to go back.

I've been here several times and this place has consistently good barbecue. It's one of the food gems of Benson. The ribs are my favorite menu item. No question that they season and smoke their ribs to perfection. Their pulled pork is probably my second favorite menu item. Nothing short of delicious. Their brisket is good, although a few times it's been a bit dry. Their sauce options are small (spicy, sweet, mild) but each one adds a nice flavor to the barbecue. I'm not a huge fan of their sides. I sort of get them just because I don't want to eat only a half rack of ribs as a meal. Their cole slaw is pretty boring and bland. The potato salad tastes weird (can't quite pinpoint what it is). Beans are decent. This is the best barbecue restaurant in Omaha to my knowledge, and really had quality meat.

Get the Beef brisket sandwich, side of coleslaw, and cornbread at Hartland BBQ- The best barbecue ever. And the cornbread tastes like cake...you just can't beat it! I found this little place here on Yelp over a year ago while on a business trip, and I look forward to eating here every time I'm in town.

After checking Yelp we drove several miles out of the way to check this place out. It was so worth it! Unfortunately they were out of chicken, so I did some damage on a double beef brisket sandwich. It was awesome! One of the best BBQ brisket I've ever had and you have to try the potato salad. It was just like my Grandma used to make with hard-boiled eggs. Simply delicious.

I'm new to Omaha, so I really have no idea where this place (or anything else for that matter) is, but I'm glad I got to try this place. I am a huge fan of BBQ of any type, and I got the combination of delicious pork and beef brisket, and then I doubled up on the meat hehe. The meat itself is cooked very well and melts in your mouth...drool. The bbq sauces do a great job of complementing the meats. The best thing about this place though is the price! Each sandwich is only like $4-5, but you get a well-portioned sandwich. I'm gonna try to come back here sometime to try their ribs and sausage.

So good! I had the brisket, way too much of a good thing...I was a fat kid with a cupcake! The cole slaw is perfect. I wasn't a fan of the beans but just not my favorite. Run here for great bbq!

  • Maria W.

Hands down, this is the best BBQ place in Omaha. No need for bbq sauce the smoky flavor of the meet speaks for itself. It does not need help in flavor with sauce. Great prices and they are not stingy with the meat on there sandwiches. Check it out!

Great down home BBQ with fantastic staff. They knew we were from out of town and made us feel like family as soon as we walked in. Great pork and brisket sandwiches.....lots of locals and Yelpers were there. if you're in town for CWS or any reason to be in Omaha, treat yourself, go there!

Amazing BBQ, friendly service, and a great experience. I lived in Texas for a while before moving to the west coast for college and found myself in a land of yummy burritos but lacked good BBQ. I recently moved back to the Midwest and have been hunting for quality BBQ and this is it. The food is amazing and they probably don't charge enough for it which of course means that I will be back again soon. The pulled pork was melting in my mouth and the brisket had so much flavor that I didn't see any need in adding some of their sauce (which also tasted great). Basically, you should eat here. 'Nuff said.

I ordered the chopped brisket and chopped chicken sandwich . It was perfect!! Ask for samples! Didn't even need sauce the meat stands well by itself. Thank you Omaha yelpers you are a BBQ culinary destination

Great BBQ. Been hankering for some good BBQ since moving here from Oklahoma last year. Went to get take-out BBQ home, but probably should have stayed to take advantage of the sauces. Really great flavors to all of them, liked the spicy one the best though. In a BBQ world the meat is the main event, the sauces heighten and enhance the meat, like icing on a delicious meat-layered cake (too weird?). Anyway, ordered the rib dinner plate (with sides of BBQ beans and green beans), plus a pulled pork sandwich for the next day. Service was lightning fast - was in-and-out in less than 5mins. To the food ratings! Ribs - Perfect. Can't believe this is available in Nebraska, let alone outside Texas. Soft, burnt edges give way to succulent braised meat. In a word - divine. The flavors melted together perfectly. I didn't need any sauce to go on these, it was perfect the way it was. Tried a bit of the spicy sauce on a piece, and it made my mouth sing! Awesome. BBQ beans - great flavors, great zing. They use apples and jalapenos (I think) to kick it up in the flavor department - why didn't I think of that? Best BBQ beans I think I've ever had. Green beans - average, nothing bad nor good about them. Should have ordered something else, but I wanted to get a vegetable to counter all the meat. Cornbread - comes with the dinner plate. I could eat this for dessert it was so good. Soft and fluffy, no dry spots anywhere (sometimes cornbread can give you that dry-mouth feeling if not made correctly). Nothing better than mopping up sauce with that cornbread. Pork Sandwich - like I said earlier, I saved it for the day after. Good call on my part, because it hit the spot! Doused it in whatever sauce I had left and chowed down. Good bread, good flavors, and just the right amount of meat to be on a sandwich. You know it's good when you're cleaning the plate of the meat that fell out. Overall, best BBQ I've had in a while. I'd say right up there with Stonewall's or The Shed down in Ocean Springs, MS.

I am a Q head. I love smoked meat. The gracious people at Boxer BBQ in Council Bluffs told me to try this place if I was in the neighborhood sometime. Seeing as how their Q is stellar, I was going to heed that advice. I sat down for a pork and beef dinner. The beef was sliced thin and was thus a bit dry. Still nice flavor and spice on top with a medium+ smoke flavor. The pork was in large chunks pulled off the shoulder. The smoke ring was evident and the flavor was quite good. I liked the larger chunks... like finger food. I got a rack of ribs and heated them at a friends house later that night. Phenomenal. I think the ribs are the way to go here. And as a super deal, take out cold wrapped ribs are $14 versus $21 for the hot rack. I had creamy cucumber salad and cole slaw as sides. I liked them both very much. The side of cornbread was a nice pillow of sweet goodness and finished things off well.

Best BBQ in Omaha! I've had more or less everything on the menu, and it never disappoints! I love that they have the different sauces on the side for you to choose from. One time, in lieu of the still delicious rotisserie chicken of Lè Costco, I got a whole smoked chicken from Hartland. Holy Pollo...it was definitely worth the few extra dollars. Soooo juicy and scrumptious!

Good brisket. Corn sides looked like it was taken straight from the can. The cream cucumbers I couldn't finish, just wasn't appealing to me. The homemade corn bread was ok. Very friendly service.

Very good ribs - very meaty and not fat - their cole slaw is great but 4 stars as beans we ok . Sauce was fair at best and the rub really had little kick - try the vinegar sauce with the BBQ sauce

Hands down, this is the best BBQ place in Omaha. No need for bbq sauce the smoky flavor of the meet speaks for itself. It does not need help in flavor with sauce. Great prices and they are not stingy with the meat on there sandwiches. Check it out!

'Nuff said.

  • Jimmie P.

Brisket was very tender. House sauces are tasty. Baked beans had apple slices in them, so good, and also try the potato salad. $14 for a dinner plate of brisket, two sides a corn cake, and a drink. Definitely enough to fill up.

Been there once, had the chopped brisket sandwich and side of beans. Both were excellent. Brisket moist and lean, beans tangy, with pieces of soft apple that added a bit of crunch and sweetness. Large portion. Looking forward to getting back there!

'Nuff said.

  • Jim L.

Yum!
