Stop #5 on the 2013 Coffee Crawl! We sampled the Las Chiapas Roast in Classic Greengo Drip and Toddy Style (served cold with almond milk) as well as the Espresso Roast-Americano Style. Somewhat surprisingly my favorite was the toddy, though all were delicious. (How can you go wrong with Certified Organic Fair Trade Coffee roasted locally at the Grey Plume?) I'd had this place bookmarked for a good long while before we actually made it for the coffee crawl back in April, and mostly it was because I was dying to try the food! By the time we arrived I was pretty ready for some lunch (this was right before the coffee sickness kicked in). The tuna salad on marble rye was calling my name, and eating it on the small patio area out front was one of the highlights of my day. Very fresh ingredients, assembled with love. Tasty, fresh, satisfying. Transitional is a great description for the neighborhood. If you look left... nice apartments and landscaping, to your right... you'll find food-stamp grocery store, and across the street... an abandoned/condemned house. Plenty of parking on the street is available also, though the 45-deg parking is opposite the direction you'd anticipate, coming from Leavenworth. Great value, coffee and food. Give it a try.

A diamond in the rough! I love that you can pick up a prostitute and a bowl of organic sweet potato and lentil soup on the same city block. I had no idea a place like this existed on Park Ave until the Coffee Crawl. Such a hidden gem! Great coffee, delicious vegetarian friendly food, and the staff are all so incredible welcoming and warm! Definitely going to have to make this a regular stop.

The spicy black bean wrap is so good and so cheap It took a dozen visits before I could bring myself to try anything else. I'm glad I finally did as the tuna sandwich is just as good. Everything tastes super fresh and wholesome, and the coffee's good too. Not much else to say--it's one of my favorite lunch stops when I want a sure thing and I could probably eat it every day. Since I didn't see their hours last time I searched the web here's what they had posted summer 2013: Mon-Fri 6:30 am to 2:00pm, Saturday 8:00am to 2pm.

The menu looked great, and fellow Yelpers seemed to have a better experience, however... The employee told us she was out of a couple things and we should go elsewhere for lunch. Two stars, for being honest I guess. She seemed nice, but kinda high. I did get a latte and it was no impressive. Maybe this is more of a drip coffee kinda place.

a hidden gem. fresh, always. price is right. both the tuna and turkey are arguably the best sandwiches in omaha. great coffee. the walls are lined with interesting artwork. the music flows at just the right decibel level and the owner gives each and every order a little individual love and tenderness. also... a great selection of ginger beers in the cooler.

3 and 1/2, actually. This small coffee house/restaurant is a great find. Angel, the owner, is a great hostess/cook, and formerly ran the late, great, and greatly missed Dazy Maze, now occupied by Nicola's The menu is limited, but I want to try it all. The menu is healthy, but more importantly, the food is delicious. I had forgotten just how incredibly good her tuna salad is--simply the best I have had anywhere I have eaten on the planet. It is served on crunchy multigrain bread with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. Mine had a side of what appeared to be homemade pickle slices, as well as multigrain chips with good homemade salsa. A very tasty lunch. There are only 6-7 tables (a couple outside), and some cool artwork about. Long story short, great place for coffee, breakfast or lunch. It sure beats chain "food".
