Just came back from lunch here. First impressions: I'm still hungry. That was a bit pricey. But damn, that's some good meat. Yes, portions are small. I would really suggest the owners offer something to bulk up the meals a bit. Some cheap greens, maybe, or something in addition to the thin slices of chewy baguette that are, in fact, mostly air pockets and crust. Some nice, dense sourdough, perhaps, or something like the olive loaf from Bread Oven. But I'd do it again, just because the meats are so darned good. Artisanal in truth, the meats I tried have the depth, breadth, and full development of flavor one associates with skillfully hand-crafted foods. I tried all five of the salamis, the capocollo, and the bresaola, and every one was a winner. The cheese offerings appear to be well-chosen, and the chevre and Lancaster duet, both made in Nebraska interestingly enough, were excellent. You can get a serving of anything on the meat and cheese menu for five bucks. Don't do it. Get three for 13 bucks. And though it says you can get five meats for 19 as a "chef's choice," you don't really have to leave it up to the chef. I ordered all five salamis for my plate. You can also get three meats and two cheeses for 23 bucks. But here's a question: why are meats and cheeses both one for $5 and three for $13, but you can get five meats for $19 or three meats and two cheeses for $23? The price of the cheese mounts up? At any rate, if you're going as a couple, it might be best to have one get the five meats and the other get five cheeses for $23 (the 13 for three plus 10 for two more) or six cheeses for $26 (three for 13 twice). Assuming you want to try a lot of different meats and cheeses. Yeah, I know they have Reubens, but it's not like you can't get a Reuben elsewhere in Omaha. Artisanal charcuterie is a bit harder to come by. Moving on from "I'm an excellent driver" territory... I'm a bit of a reverse snob, and tend to chuckle at some of the more pretentious affectations in the restaurant industry, but I also understand their function in signalling a restaurant's culture. Still, tap water served in a clear bottle with a cool blue cap makes me smile for all the wrong reasons. And there's just something amusingly disjointed about a server topping up your soda from the open can sitting beside your glass. Darlin', I can do that one myself, no need to fuss! And can I get my next Coke in a Waterford crystal Coke bottle? Oh, and the little metal chairs aren't so great for fat boys who can't fit their behinds between the side supports. But that's ok, 'cuz you're not going to get any fatter eating here. Not without dropping a wad of bills. But even so, it's worth it. The food is that good. And once they have enough stock built up, you'll be able to purchase at least some of the product retail. Cool.

This is a great spot to grab a light meal and a good glass of wine. The house made charcuterie is excellent and they have great cheeses to pair with it. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is very friendly.

Amazing! Came into Omaha from philly to visit the 'rents and had heard great things about French Bulldog. It lives up to its hype. My husband and I came in on a Wednesday afternoon and sat at the bar. Matt was amazing. We ordered a Lambrusco and a Malbec and Matt created a meat and cheese board to pair with our wine. We had a chèvre which is the creamiest I have ever had, smooth and buttery and not very strong like most chèvre . The second cheese was an Aged white cheddar that had a great bite. For the charcuterie we had the whiskey bacon, chicken liver mouse that tasted like French Terrine, and my favorite meat I can't remember the name, but it was sweet and melted in your mouth. Bulldog should be on everyone's list as a Dundee staple. Great food, great vino and great service.

Note -- This review is strictly for the restaurant, not necessarily the cured meats (as I didn't try any), and specifically for the pork belly sandwich. Thus, depending on what you order it might be irrelevant to you. I really want this place to succeed, so I figured I'd offer some constructive criticism. We four visited the establishment on Monday in the mid-afternoon. There were just a few people there, mostly ordering wine and chatting with the employees at the bar. I glanced over the interior on walking in and found it to be quite nice. The recycled wooden planks used for the wall are fitting, nice light grey tone. The sparse bar and seating look good. But keep in mind that I am a fan of minimal things. Cutting straight to the meal and service: server seemed only 70% present. As I'm laid back it didn't bother me at all, but there are people in the world who are more uptight than me, and might not make a second visit for that kind of service. Subtle things: placing the menus right side up, squaring them with the corner, being graceful, remembering requests and who ordered what, etc. Not much to ask on a lazy Monday. The following is more for the chef than other readers: The pork belly sandwich was great, however there needs to be some lightness somewhere on the plate. The supplied pilaf was nutty but also creamy. This is too much next to the sandwich, which was very rich. I think just a handful of walnuts on the side would have helped balance things a little. I wasn't hungry enough to finish the sandwich, but by the second half I was feeling a little overwhelmed due to the sweet-fat-salt taste. There was subtlety of the smoked belly there, but there needs to be a brighter note to help digestion and pallet both, such as some lime or a spicy sauce rather than the powerfully sweet mustard. The combo, pleasant at first, turned out to be like an over-rich cake, delight at the first mouthful, detest by the fifth. Overall, a great place. Silent, professional, well presented. Cloth napkins might be better than paper, but maybe they use cloth at dinner (?).

So good I couldn't take pictures. Pork-gasm! Already great service and atmosphere at the French Bulldog (probably due to the owners' prior/current experience with Amsterdam Falafel, Pitch and the Boiler Room). French Bulldog does not feel new in the best sense, it was the first day and the house ran so smooth. The service is attentive without being intrusive. On to the food, mmmmm, the pork rillet crostini should be eaten in private it's so good. I sat at the lovely bar enjoying watching the dishes prepared in front of me, the window to the cured meats at my side and the lovely reclaimed wood wall behind me. Have the limone cocktail to cut the richness. The roasted acorn squash also fantastic with balsamic drizzle...mint oil...pine nuts...ricotta. Dang..are they open this early? I'm ready to go back.

The food is great!!! The Wine list is very poor however.... When you do a meat & Cheese heavy menu you need to consider what folks drink with it...

I had high hopes for French Bulldog. The food was great but it takes a long time to get served. If you are not in a hurry give it a shot.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our first experience here. The staff were all very friendly and our food was delicious. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but if that is your thing, definitely give this place a try!

Not a huge menu but for the food they do serve, which can range from a gourmet deli sandwhich to cured meats and great cheeses, it's definitely a place I'd recommend.

What a great concept. Local cheeses and meats for a fantastic appetizer. We had the roasted vegetables in a recommendation and they were right- almost a meal in themselves. Great service with a hipster atmosphere.

Hope you like pork. Cool atmosphere, wish the bar area had more space. Entree was great, appetizers not so much. I will return.

What happened to the pork belly sandwichesat the French Bulldog! I crave them. Next best thing to foie gras which is almost impossible to find in Omaha. But last week when I ordered the sandwich it was TERRIBLE. the meat was minced, mushy and flavorless. I asked the waitress if there was a new chef and she said no so I am clueless as to why the sandwich was nothing like before. I hope it returns to its usual 'amazingness'. I will give it one more try.

What a fantastic addition to Dundee! The house-made charcuterie was unbelievable: from a very large list, we selected pork rillettes and anisetta salami, which were served with delicious crusty bread and rustic mustard. We split a Reuben, which came out with an apple and beet slaw. The Reuben was the most decadent sandwich I think I've ever had: the corned beef was fatty, tender, and flavorful. The slaw was simple, straightforward, and refreshing: a great palate-cleanser. We also ordered the roasted acorn squash as a side, but found it underwhelming. The squash was very, very bitter. We picked around it and ate all of the dressings, which were awesome: homemade ricotta, roasted grape tomatoes, and caramelized onions in balsamic vinegar. The wine list is short and sweet, full of reasonably-priced bottles. I don't think you could pick a bad wine here. I will definitely be back to try the cheeses, more charcuterie, different wine, another vegetable dish, another sandwich.... just maybe not all at the same time!

I really enjoyed my dinner here and would love to go back again when I am in Dundee. I went with a group on Friday night, we did have reservations, but there seemed to be one or two other tables empty. We started with some cocktails, and found them all well prepared, interesting and pretty well priced. For an appetizer we had the butcher's choice meat selection, and 3 cheeses. For this being a charcuterie restaurant, our favorite part was the cheeses. The meats were good, the Herbs de Provence one was a favorite but it just felt like there were sliced too thin to get a very good taste. The entrees were very nice, the pork pie was something special, and the pork belly sandwich was a hit. I found the wines very reasonably priced, and they had a good selection, also dessert was great with the chocolate slab, and the caramel apple cake only $5 each.

Stopped here for an indulgent appetizer prior to dinner and was very happy with our visit. We ordered a 3 meat/2 cheese (Hungarian salami,capocollo,rillettes/Lancaster duet, taleggio) platter which also included slices of a baguette, almonds, ground mustard, and honey for $23. Rillettes (pork belly/brown sugar/juniper) and taleggio cheese was my favorite among the platter. They also had curry sausage which was amazing. One order was $5, which was approximately one sausage link sliced. After a beer, and the above, our bill came to $36. We sat at the bar because we didn't have reservations on a Saturday night, but I'm glad we did. I was able to watch people assemble plates. Cured meats were hanging in view. We could also see someone making a cake in the kitchen, frosting it with attention to detail. The staff obviously took pride in their work and were knowledgeable. While this place was a bit pricey, I will definitely be back. I enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere.

My second visit to this charcuterie was far more satisfying than the first. I had the pork belly sandwich and it was amazing. My companion had a salad and she reported it was quite satisfying. Service was prompt and attentive. Price was right on.

The food was incredible. Everyone has done a good job reviewing the outstanding main dishes, so I won't get into the details of those options...but a few off the beaten path recommendations: (a) the acorn squash dish; (b) the braised pork belly sandwich; (c) the homemade limoncello. Outstanding. Also...be sure to ask wait staff about the wood paneling decor. There is a very, very cool story behind that.

Could not have asked for a better meal. The charcuterie was nothing short of ethereal -- so good it'd make Muslims reconsider the whole "no pork" thing. Cocktails were terrific without being overly pretentious and the service was spot-on. Can't wait to go back.

Met friends here for an early supper on a Friday night, three weeks after opening...it was easy to get a table at 6:15PM. Half an hour later, though, you'd need a reservation...or expect to wait an hour. The food was amazing for the most part, taste-wise. The house-cured meats could not be beat. The rilletes were the best I've had. The sausages were fantastic. Presentation was lovely. The atmosphere was lovely - not too fussy. The reclaimed barn wood covering one large wall helps. :) Our server was friendly but not overly so. The crowd was varied (I like that. Dundee seems to be hipster-heavy at times.) HOWEVER. Since we were on the early end of the supper rush, I didn't expect to wait 15 minutes for a simple charcuterie (meat & cheese) plate. Everything on it was delicious, but for 3 meats and 2 cheeses (for $23), it was not nearly enough for even 2 people, even as an appetizer. The salami was sliced tissue-paper thin. While it melted in your mouth, there could have been more of it. Seemed quite pricey, especially when compared to La Buvette's charcuterie plate, which also throws in some cornichons and olives. We also had to wait for what I felt was a long time for the simple entrees we ordered. The sandwiches were good and well priced ($8 for a whole sandwich, chips and pickle), but the sausages (billed as more filling), while tasty, were lacking. I had the thai sausage (set on top of a carrot/ginger puree where i couldn't detect the ginger), with pickled vegetables (a few strips of...jicama, maybe?) and a fistful of salad (undressed bleh!). The wines by the glass were fine, as was the $4 beer. The 'chocolate slab' (flourless chocolate torte) we shared for dessert was rich and delicious (drizzled with honey and a dollop of plain yogurt). By the time we got our bill, though, we left feeling like we paid too much and needed a second supper. I love the concept of the French Bulldog - a semi-casual charcuterie in Dundee - and their focus (the house-cured meats) are excellent - but I do hope they bulk up the portions some and pay a more attention to the non-meat items on the menu (salads, sides). That will give it real staying power.

meat and cheese trays are probably one of my favorite things in the whole world, we often spend sunday afternoons watching football with a selection of cheeses from wohlners and whole foods. (yes, I love football too) having a newborn and two year-old at home, kept me from going here for far too long, but after finally getting an afternoon lunch here in December right at the end of my maternity leave, I am in love. (sorry, yelp, you've been neglected for a few months!) the wine was great, the meat and cheese selections are delicious. We tried a meat and cheese tray, the garlic sausage, and the bulldog deli sandwich, all FANTASTIC! Places like this are what keep me so excited about food. the only bad thing....our server seemed a bit elitist. the type who seems to think she is cooler than you, since she has on her hipster uniform of skinny jeans and black glasses that probably aren't for an actual vision problem. I could care less about this because the food truly did make up for it, but it could be perceived as condesending to others. I will go back as soon as I can, since my husband has yet to have this deliciousness, however, take-out might happen sooner. this place is not really set up for small kids/babies.

love this place! and everytime I come in there are new items to try...all amazing! One of a kind in Omaha and a staff/atmosphere that many Omaha restaurants could take notes on. Ask the staff to choose for you whats best and try a Gimlet...the best in town!

Went to the French Bulldog last night. I was not really prepared to like it a lot, as some french restraunteurs believe that rude waiters, small portions and big prices are part of the charm of being French. I had quite the opposite experience. I had their special roasted tomato and goat cheese quiche while my friend had the pork belly sandwich. This was the best quiche I have had in my entire life (I'm 70, so that's a long time). It was absolutely exquisite.....soft, fluffy yet dense. The portion size seemed to be nearly a quarter of the pie. With a small side salad, it was perfect! My friend had a pork belly sandwich, which she also declared to be outstanding. In the end, we decided to split a plum tart and my friend asked for a whipped cream topping (which I probably would not have done). The tart came and it was a lovely rustic tart with one open end. The whipped cream had been very slightly whipped so that it was merely thickened in texture. It was the most incredible meal. My friend and I made immediate plans to return next week and I called a couple of family and friends to tell them to be sure to make it. I live close by and I can't believe I waited so long to go there.

Food was excellent! Service was the same. From a rating perspective, it became one of those times where you start looking for things that weren't "perfect." If you're a meat, cheese, bread fan...this is one place you don't want to miss. Bacon...amazing. Pork rillette...stop you in your tracks. Salumi of the week (admit idly varies)...don't want to miss! Cheeses were equivalent. If I had to critique (please note a five star rating) running out of lime for a cocktail before 7pm...not cool.

A consistently great experience, whether it's for dinner or just a drink and a cheese plate. But the real reason to go there is their meats: the sausages and in-house made items are out of this world. This should be your first stop in Dundee.

  • Jordan S.

This place is amazing! I cannot tell you how many times we walked by without realizing. The restaurant has a minimalist feel which I am absolutely loving. You can tell that they put all of their time and energy into the delicious food that they create! The charcuterie is out-of-this-world! The ground mustard and pickles that are served with the charcuterie are to die for. My husband and I both ordered a sandwich but unfortunately I cannot remember which ones we ordered. They were both delicious. Mine came with bacon that was thee best bacon I have had in my life (which is saying something)! Overall a great place in Dundee that all you meat lovers out there should visit!!

I came here on a random weekday afternoon for some lunch, solo, and have never been happier with a lunch experience! I sat at the bar (which is beautiful and made of reclaimed wood) and enjoyed the view from the lovely windows on a sunny afternoon. GOSH. I just want to bring a textbook and study here while shoving pork belly in my face. Yep. Pork belly. There is a pork belly sandwich here, I forget what it's officially called, but you need to order it the minute you sit down. Holy smokes. I had it without bread (RIP gluten), and was expecting the person who made my sandwich to kind of go "ummm... hmmm..." and just slap the ingredients on a plate to "accomodate" my "preference" for non-glutinous items. First of all, NOT a preference, an allergy... second of all, no such thing happened! Instead, my sandwich ingredients were beautifully arranged and stacked on my plate with a healthy helping of potato chips (I don't know if they're housemade or not, but they remind me of Cape Cod potato chips, which would be fine with me anyway). I took a bite, and had to think. Finally, I grabbed a menu to make sure something hadn't gone happily awry. What was I checking for? Onion jam. The jam on my sandwich tasted like strawberry jam, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't hallucinating. Verdict? I was NOT! And it was ACCURATE! And I know it sounds crazy, but it is the most incredible pairing ever. The salty, rich pork belly with the sharpness of the red onion and the sweetness of the strawberry jam is unbelievable. I also had a (couple) glasses of rose while I was lunching. At no point did I feel rushed at all, and in fact was quite pleased with the service I received. Gosh I can't wait to go back here. Gosh gosh gosh.

Did I mention the bacon?? Marinated in Old Overholt whiskey, spiced with coriander seed and chili pepper and roasted to unctuous perfection. Sigh. I've tried to replicate at home, and my family thinks I'm a rock star for it, but only I know it's not as righteous as the original. The chorizo stuffed dates also are amazeballs. The sweet+salty+spice combo is really tasty. Broiled and served with a crumble of cheese over top. Happy hour offers some great values. I had a charcuterie plate for 10 bucks that had 3 meat and/or cheese choices. And they weren't stingy with the portions either. I had the capocolla, aforementioned bacon, and Manchego cheese. This came with two kinds of mustard, honey, pickles, and 6 slices of warm crusty baguette. I think one of my most fav things about this place is how they make the food right in front of you. It lets you see the place in action and if you sit at the bar you can have a nice conversation with the staff about their foodie philosophy. It is also important to give them kudos for having the cheeses out and at room temp- as it should be but this is hard to find strangely. Also, the owner is on hand and working hard- something you don't always see at the celeb chef joints. It's kinda refreshing. And the service is excellent. There's a lot of flannel and long haired dudes hanging around in here but don't let that stop you from coming in for a swanky date night. The wine prices are very reasonable, there's a fun little cocktail menu, and let's face it- finger food is fun! Sharing is easy and he setting is cozy.

I got charcuterie hey hey hey hey! The French bulldog should be a bucket list must for those of you living in or visiting Omaha. If you like crusty bread, cured meats, cheese and accompaniments (jams, mustards, honey) then this is the place for you!!! You'll get a great selection of cured meats and sausages as well as cheeses. The service is pretty speedy, and the decorations and ambience are a home run in my book. It fits my version of a perfect space in terms of layout and usage. Other than charcuterie, there are 5-9 sandwich options that are a little more friendly to the wallet and there are daily/weekly specials on their facebook or chalkboard in house. I really enjoyed the warm chorizo stuffed date appetizer today, it was especially delicious. Wine list and cocktail list are a-ok but don't expect too many beers on the menu. Of course as always the Dundee neighborhood is charming and difficult to find parking on the weekends.

Had a wonderful experience at the French Bulldog for lunch! The Chorizo Stuffed Dates were packed with flavor, and the Pork Belly Sandwich was a revelation. Particularly wonderful was the thin layer of strawberry jam on the sandwich, giving each bite a sense of joy! I'll definitely be back for dinner with the Mrs.

Ok, I have a new favorite place I loved how small and inviting it is in here. How is it I have not been here before. I love the atmosphere. The staff was wonderful friendly and just generally happy. I have had the best bacon of my life here. cant wait to come back and try some of the sandwiches Split a charcuterie and cheese everything was great expect the mustard a bit heavy on the vinegar for my liking. I have a new favorite yay!!!!

Their charcuterie is simply outstanding. Do you want to have your life changed by bacon? It can happen here. Small, intimate atmosphere with a view of the charcuterie-making magic. Knowledgeable staff. Great cocktails. The French Bulldog does not disappoint.

Would love to tell you all how the food tasted, but got there at 10:20 on a Friday and their kitchen was already closed, even though they say their kitchen is open until 11:00 pm on Fridays and weekends on their website!! What a shame.

I went back for a second visit on a Saturday night. The food was every bit as good as the first time. I wasn't feeling adventurous so I went with the Pork Belly Sandwich since it was so good the first time. It was definitely a good choice and I really enjoyed it again. My mom and grandma ordered their special, the BBQ Beef Sandwich and said it was one of the best BBQ Beef Sandwiches they had ever had. The bottom line is you pretty much cannot go wrong with any of the meat dishes at this restaurant. For my drink, I decided to try something different this time - the Air Mail (rum, lemon, honey, proseco). It was fantastic! Very light and refreshing. My main issue with this visit was the service. We made an early reservation (5:15), to be safe, and had no problem getting seated. Initially, the service was average, but toward the end it went downhill. Our server brought us our check without asking if we wanted dessert or more drinks, which wasn't really a big deal, until we decided that we wanted dessert and coffee and had to flag her down to order it. When we ordered, the server seemed annoyed and put off by our request. I suspect that she was trying to turn the table, but since we had only been there for a little over an hour, had been eating/drinking the entire time, and were now ordering dessert and coffee, this was pretty unreasonable. The dessert was an apple crumble and a raspberry layer cake, and while both were decent, neither of them were anything exceptional. I will definitely be back again, since the food here is incredible. However, I will probably stick to weekday visits, since the service was so over-the-top awesome last time and not so great on this weekend visit. I will probably also be skipping dessert in the future.

It's too bad we don't live in Omaha (or even close) because we would love to go back here. My wife, two kids (12 and 9) and I ate here while we were in Omaha - our stopping point on the way to Denver from Michigan. The welcome, the service, the drinks, and the food were all great. I ordered and Old Fashioned and my wife a Water Lilly and they were superbly made drinks. The charcuterie was all great - yes, especially the bacon. We all ordered sandwiches too and my daughter's choice, the pork belly, was our favorite. We would recommend this restaurant for pretty much everything: friends gathering, a date night, or a casual night out with the kids.

The food was 5 stars, we did the charcuterie board. If you like to mix flavors yourself, this is the way to go. They butcher their own meats and make everything fresh. The bacon is wonderful. Pickled beets, never have I liked these, but I like theirs. The waiter needed just a little more knowledge of products and better explanation of types of cheeses is the reason for four stars.

  • Aubree E.

The interior is so beautiful, very quaint and rustic. They make all their meat in house. They have a wide selection of wine although their menu is limited. There are a few vegetarian options and all their food is mostly like smal plates, very fancy. Not to mention their service is wonderful. All the staff was very friendly when we came in!

4.5 stars. This was fantastic. The pork belly sandwich was so friggin good. Oh how I wish I could have had fries with it. Super good, wholesome food that somehow still has complex flavor. I also tried the bacon which is cured in Templeton rye, brown sugar, and coriander. WONDERFUL.

As I look back on my previous review, This is all still pretty accurate - the crew at French Bulldog really know and love food. That love shines through in each and every dish. And the restaurant itself lends to a versatile experience. You could make it a date destination, happy hour stop, casual afternoon lunch, or late night gathering with friends. It's a spot that's loved by neighborhood locals and far-flung Omaha foodies alike. The Yelp reviews are obviously glowing. A solid 4-star average with fans from Miami, L.A., Kansas City, Denver and Honolulu. I'd say it was wise of these visitors to our fair town to make the bulldog a priority stop on their visits, and I for one am happy to have a place like this representing Omaha on the national stage as well, with chef Bryce Coulton's award-winning Hungarian Salami taking home a Good Food award this year (Congrats!) It's true that The French Bulldog could have been opened - and done well in - any other foodie city in the U.S. But the concept is perfect for Omaha, and Dundee in particular. If you're planning your first visit to the restaurant, the charcuterie and cheese plate is a must. 3 meats and 2 cheeses for $23. Served with some complimenting items (honey, jam, nuts) and freshly baked baguette, there's plenty to share as an appetizer. Try not to load up on bread too much though, because you'll want to save room for the entrees. Okay, also you need to get the chorizo stuffed dates. I probably don't need to elaborate on why. Moving on through the menu, I have had the quiche and greens before also. It was one of those rare nights I felt myself tending towards the lighter side. And while it was good, by no means was it my favorite menu item. That honor [ha] is reserved for the nearly mythical pork belly sandwich - smoked gouda, jam, red onions, greens and mustard-creme fraiche on ciabatta bread. Served with chips. This could be shared, if you can convince one of your dining partners to order up my other favorite sandwich - the ploughman's - with white cheddar, granny smith apples and greens on sourdough with piccalilli (a pickle relish) and candied walnuts. Ooh-wee. If you manage to read all the way through the menu without committing to any of those items. there are also the Sausage Board or Mexican Chorizo Plates (and don't forget the chalkboard specials)! As you might expect, this is one of those places where it's very easy to both over-order and over-eat. Cocktails and beers are nicely curated as well. Wine (probably) also, though I'm not really a good judge of that. They also have desserts, but I've never had the stomach space to try them. To sum up... get there now and enjoy.

This is a fabulous Parisian style small cafe. Everything is hand made and the Charcuterie is to die for. All meats are cured right there and the cheeses are the best of France. We picked this spot for a Saturday afternoon lunch. We couldn't have picked a better spot!

Dang. Dang, dang, dang. Why'd it take me so dang long to try French Bulldog? Well, with a superstorm in the forecast earlier this week, I decided it was now or never. Went with my co-workers for lunch and had a GREAT meal. First off, the atmosphere is fantastic. Bright and modern, yet perfectly Midwest and "re-purposed." Love the salvaged barn wood east wall. Service? Great. Not at all overbearing but not apathetic as well. I ordered the Pork Belly sandwich and was thrilled when it ate more like pulled pork than a greasy slab of seared pork belly. It was just rich enough to make it easy to finish the whole sandwich but not hate myself for doing so. Served with house-made potato chips and Mexican Coke, this meal was destined to be a home run, and when I was being assaulted by hail and pounding rain as I raced into my brother-in-law's house later in the day, I was happy to have had such a great lunch. You know. In case the house was torn apart by a tornado and me along with it. Coolest part of French Bulldog? The house-cured meats hanging in the back, visible through a glass door in the dining area. You guys...EVERYTHING here is house-cured. That ALONE starts French Bulldog at 5 stars. A great review was theirs to lose. Luckily they didn't. Can't wait to try some charcuterie and/or dinner!

One of the best restaurants in Omaha right now. Some are turned off at the charcuterie theme opting for restaurants with more typical entree options, however the portions for the charcuterie are plentiful and I assure you that you won't leave hungry. Charcuterie is served with unlimited bread with options of 3 or 5 meats and cheese for a very reasonable price. I split 3 choices with one other person or 5 choices between three people and I always have leftovers. I suggest the Brie, chèvre (Lincoln, NE), and absolutely the rillettes (best of Omaha). Other fantastic menu options I've tried are the steak sandwich, braised beef shoulder, and mushroom polenta, although often these entrees are seasonal or on special for the night so not always available. Great wine choices to pair with your meal, and the smashes are to die for! Fresh ingredients and talented mixologists behind the bar. This restaurant seems small but I've never had a problem getting a table (I attribute this to the fact that this might still be one of omaha's "best kept secrets") even on Friday or Saturday night. Stop by Ecreamery next door for ice cream dessert!

I have not felt the need to rush home and write a review for a place for quite some time but this place is an exception. Everything was outstanding. The food was fantastic and the staff was exceptional. This is what a charcuterie plate should be. The meats were delicious as well as the cheeses and I was not made to feel like I had to beg for more bread like many other places. I left completely satisfied and thinking about my next visit already. Everything on the tray was great but the whiskey bacon is life changing. I really can't say enough good things about this place. If you haven't been there yet go try it - soon.

French Bulldog is as adorable as its name implies. On a recent trip to Omaha Will S and I stopped into this small restaurant for a late lunch. And with a menu that features charcuterie they produce in house, items like chorizo-stuffed dates, and a lovely selection of sandwiches and salads I couldn't have been happier with the choice. I actually ordered both a salad and a sandwich, which I wouldn't recommend unless you are super, super hungry because the portions are totally fine on their own. However, both were delicious and I would definitely recommend ordering either item. The salad I chose was made off roasted, seasonal vegetables and topped with shaved cheese, pine nuts, and gremoleta. The sandwich was called the Ploughman's and had white cheddar, granny smith apple, and greens on sourdough bread. I could possibly eat it every day, I enjoyed it that much. The service and the atmosphere are both lovely and the prices are reasonable. French Bulldog would definitely be a staple in my life if I lived in Omaha.

The food here was lovely - we had a meat/cheese board and I enjoyed everything on it. The prices were a bit high and the server was not very competent. He was nice but seemed really confused. He had to keep looking at the menu to figure out what we were asking. Then he brought out Pinot Grigio when we asked for Pinot Noir (I even pointed to the menu). Then one of our meat selections was switched. We kept it and it was good but it seems that the servers should be more knowledgeable and capable.

Every time I come here, I love it. The atmosphere is casual but classy. The interior is decked out in reclaimed wood and there's even a set of communal tables in the middle of this small Dundee restaurant. It's hard to believe the same space used to be a Subway a few years ago. As for the food at the French Bulldog, well, it's wonderful. After three visits, everything I've had has been top notch as far as quality is concerned -- from the charcuterie (award winning and all produced in house) to the Chorizo Plate to the Bulldog Salad to the Pork Belly Sandwich. Here're a few notes: -Chorizo Plate: Has a little spice to it, but not overwhelming. Not as greasy as your typical chorizo either (thank the lord) and comes with roasted potatoes, egg, queso fresco and salsa verde. -Bulldog Salad: Are beets like the big thing in food trends right now? Fine with me. Anyway, this salad is decked out with delicious roasted beets plus walnut dressing, feta and (on the last visit) heirloom tomatoes. Oh and fresh greens, of course. Sooo good. -Pork Belly Sandwich: I'd been eying this guy for a while. I have to say it's a wonderful piece of sandwich art. The shredded pork didn't dominate the flavors. Rather it complimented the other toppings, including gouda and a mustard creme that hinted at raspberries. Served on a ciabatta bun with chips. A must try. There's still a lot that I want to try here -- definitely looking forward to my next visit. PRO TIP: Have a seat at the bar and watch the staff make up the food fresh right in front of you.

We visited this restaurant for lunch solely based on yelp reviews. Granted, there were a few one or two stars, I went with what the elite have said. I did not have the same experience here as they had. First, I did like the decor and ambiance of the restaurant. Very bright and inviting. As you walk in, the people behind the bar greet you and a hostess takes you to your seat. For our meal, my husband ordered the pork belly, I ordered the quiche and greens, and our daughter got the cheese and meat tray. For dessert, we ordered the brownie. The pork belly, my husband said was pretty good. The chips that came with them were crunchy, but had a stale flavor to them. I'm not sure if that's how they are supposed to be, but we were not a fan of those. The quiche I had was okay, but I have had better at Blue Line coffee. The edges of it looked as if it had been sitting out a while. The greens on the other hand, well, you really can't go wrong with a salad. The cheese and meat tray was the highlight of lunch in my opinion. The cheeses were very delicious and the meat was tasty. If we were to come here again, we would just get that. The brownie was the worst part of the meal. Dessert is my favorite part of a meal and usually I will go back to restaurants just for the desserts. On the outside, it looked very appetizing, but once you put a fork in it, it crumbled! To me, it looked like it was old or maybe it was baked and then rebaked again if that's even possible. Once you get in to the middle of the brownie, it was soft, but that still didn't make up for the brownie itself. The taste wasn't even good. I did not finish the dessert but felt like I had to take it home because it was $4! I was really hoping I would love this place, but after going here I wish we went to Amsterdam Falafel & Kabob instead.

By far one of the best & most unique restaurants in Omaha! Reminds me a bit of Buvette in the West Village in NYC. So cute, friendly and LOVED the food and drinks! Excellent! My only complaint is there isn't one in West Omaha!

To be honest, I was apprehensive about coming here. I have a sensory disorder when it comes to food textures... so I can't eat a lot of things that -- gosh -- I wish I could try. But I was pleasantly surprised. This place is so pretty and manages to gracefully fit a lot of people in its tiny quarters. There's several tables for groups of four (maybe even more) and tables for people coming in couples. The menu is great, but what I was most interested in was the board with a selection of - your choice - of two cheeses and three meats. I was also surprised by the drinks -- I got the Purple Fizz and it was different and delicious... I finished it, and I don't usually finish an entire glass of alcoholic beverages. The cheeses were great - even though one was not one we got, but once we pointed that out for free we got the cheese we originally ordered. If you're going with a group of four and you guys aren't super hungry, splitting the 23 dollar charcuterie board is my suggestion. There's also great sandwiches. Check it out!

The interior decor is unique--reclaimed barn wood on the walls gives the place a rustic feel. The large window store front provides plenty of natural light. The bar looks almost DIY, with little cubbies for glasses and bar tools on the wall. Definitely a trendy vibe, but welcoming. The tables and chairs are minimalistic, which normally I like, but these chairs were so TINY, I bet only half of my rear end fit on one. Not the most comfortable. If the service had been quicker, it wouldn't have bothered me as much. My sister and I were both French Bulldog newbies so we decided to get a few meats to try as an app. The chorizo was very full flavored but not too spicy, and the whole grain mustard was a fabulous complement. The herbes de provence had a little too much lavender for my taste, but was a neat addition to the menu. The steak sandwich was very tender and the provolone cheese on it had a distinct and pungent flavor unlike any other provolone I've had. A bit too much bread for the sandwich, and I ended up taking the top off for an open-faced sandy. The squash salad had a seasoning that I couldn't place...it tasted like the bite of fresh cilantro, but it was clearly not a fresh herb. I'm at a loss, which I have to say doesn't happen very often! I loved the cocktail list! Several options, and it was cute that they were listed in categories: Shaken, Stirred, Bubbles, Smashes. The French 75 is my new favorite cocktail. The dark spot here is that the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait at least 5 minutes at the front before being greeted/seated. Our drinks came after about 15 minutes, and it was a good 30 minutes before our charcuterie arrived. The server barely touched our table through the entire experience, so I don't have a lot to say about her because she simply wasn't there enough. She did apologize and asked us if we were in a rush because a large party was seated a few minutes before we came in. 40 minutes later, the entrees came out. No gripes about the food quality, but I truly enjoy great service that enhances my dining experience--and I didn't get that. The manager or cook (not sure which) did come out to apologize eventually and comped our drinks and charcuterie. This act did save the experience...they knew they had a misstep in service and did something to rectify it. Overall I would recommend this as a great trendy place to bring friends from out of town or have a meal with a relative. Just keep your parties small, they don't seem to be equipped to handle groups larger than 5, and have plenty of time for the meal.

I had a nice meal here. It all started with me at the bar and a friendly staff. All of them seemed to help each other and the service was potlite and casual. I had a cup of bean soup... it was a puree style... that was served with a generous portion of sliced baguette. It was delicious on a freezing night! I had to try the pork belly sandwich. It was assembled right in front of me. All final food prep is done in the front of the house. The sandwich is a total balance of flavors and really worth trying. Great mustard. Great greens. Excellent pork. Awesome bread.

This was a wonderful place to go for my wife and I's anniversary. What stuck me besides the food was just how nice and genuine the staff felt. The food was wonderful despite my unfamiliarity with fancy cheeses and meats.

The carnivore's Valhalla. My son and I got here today based on the recommendation of Imperial, the Blair, NE supplier of the best beef sold to restaurants in the US. The Bulldog was more than just a welcome surprise, it was a milestone. We asked Matt to give us his choices for the meats board, Eric having stipulated only the whiskey bacon. He did the same for the cheeses. We're not foodies or hipsters, just pretty good hands in anyone's kitchen and privileged to have served with some greats. We both know charcuterie from infancy and Eric's comment that choosing one item as best was pointless told the story. As for a take-away favorite, both of us liked the juniper-white peppercorn salami, but no better than the curried sausage or the spicy Nduja. Everything on our boards, cheese and meat alike, was superb, exemplary! Matt's kraut and pickle and the house Dijon were perfect complements - their distinct vinegar and brine characters marking them. It's a shame we don't live here because going back to the French Bulldog every couple of weeks for the new offerings would be heaven. FB is about as good as charcuterie gets anywhere on this planet. If you can't appreciate that, you're probably vegan. If you just haven't found that out yet, there's still time. And say hello for us when you do!

I love this little spot. Intimate and cozy with a friendly staff seemingly always delighted to help you find the perfect choice for your dinner of quality house-made indulgences. The French Bulldog makes you want to slowly and carefully savor the taste of each of the meticulously presented items on your charcuterie board as long as you can before the gleeful urge to begin mixing and trying every possible combination takes over. Few restaurants are such a satisfying adventure of discovery for your palette like the French Bulldog.

This place is adorable. They offer a small - but QUALITY - menu of what I am assuming will rotate with the season. The space itself is also small. So if you are planning a visit, I would suggest calling ahead, or picking a more "off" time, if you don't want to deal with a crowd. Our meals were fantastic and filling, which does not always happen when we order from a meat and cheese type place. I was able to order two different things, modified (sans cheese sadly - it all looked SO good). And I was more than satisfied with what they created for me. My dining companion got a deli sandwich of some sort and loved it. And I had the chance to try the pork belly (sans the bread), and was thrilled with my order as well. I also ordered a salad (again sans the cheese), which had some type of squash, and hazeluts included. It also was a great combination of flavors. I can only imagine how good the original version - WITH cheese- must have tasted. I plan to try the charcuterie plate next time. And perhaps some of the cocktails or wine. I feel they offer a very well balanced menu for the size of it. My only complaint...I was hoping they had t-shirts, perhaps with the French Bulldog design on them. No such luck. Definitely going back when we return to Omaha.

This is the perfect place for some wine and a cheese plate! I actually love coming here to sit at the bar for a low-key evening with a friend, but it's good for dates and small groups as well. I highly recommend the pork belly sandwich!

The night started off well with some cocktails and fairly prompt service getting a table. It took quite some time to get the meat and cheese tray, but it was a busy Saturday night so that is reasonable. The food here really is delicious, especially the pork belly sandwich. However, the service at this establishment was beyond belief. The waitress was very rude and butted into private conversations with my companions, only to bring a scowl on our faces. The check came quickly after the food with gratuity added for a fairly small table (4 people). One reason that this rating is so low is because of the staff. A rude waitress is sure to get a lousy tip first off, but the dishwasher (why does he even interact with patrons). I used the restroom after eating my meal before the long drive home. I walked out and he stared at me, only to end with a very rude and awkward encounter!! I will say that the staff behind the bar and the hostess are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating here. I will be eating this food again in the future, but it will be takeout to avoid those rude employees of this establishment.

This restaurant is a great addition to Omaha! I had the roasted vegetable salad and pork belly sandwich. I had expected the roasted vegetable salad to have lettuce, it didn't, but that didn't matter, it was wonderful. It was lightly seasoned with olive oil, fresh herbs and garlic and the vegetables were prepared to perfection. The brussels sprouts had a nice crunch to them. The pork belly sandwich was also excellent, the perfect amount of meat, smoked Gouda cheese and condiment. I really want to come back and try one of their charcuterie boards. I love it that you can customize the charcuterie and cheese board by selecting from a variety of I would say 6 to 9 different cheeses and meats. One neat aspect of the Decour is that they have a window Into their sausage curing chamber. Very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable, go check this place out if you can!

I had by far the best meal last night I've had in years! I'm so thrilled that Omaha has such an amazing farm to table culture emerging! Absolutley the most satisfying charcuterie and cheese boards I've ever had and the pork belly sandwich was to die for! Already planning my next visit.

This is my favorite restaurant in Omaha. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the environment is warm and casual. The menu is simple with specials each day. I have tried and loved everything. If you like tasty food prepared with exceptional care, you'll love the bulldog. The staff are passionate and contribute to the menu, preparing different soups and desserts daily. My favorite things are the BLT (seasonal) and the house-made charcuterie. My family loves the Bulldog Deli and the Porkbelly Sandwich. Also, the Chorizo dish is delightful. In addition to the food, I love their cocktails. The French Bulldog is a small local restaurant with a passion for food.

Came in again without a reservation.... at 8:30 pm... on a Tuesday. I was expecting to be a little rushed (said on their website that the kitchen closed at 9 on Tuesdays), but they were super accommodating, really helpful with recommendations, and checked in frequently enough to keep our water and wine topped off but not so that we felt smothered. Friendly, funny, awesome, with a surprisingly inexpensive wine list - split a 3-cheese plate (with honey, house cherry preserves, candied walnuts, unlimited hot and delicious bread) and a bottle of wine between two people, came out under $25 each post-tip. I'm torn between wanting everyone to try out The French Bulldog and wanting it to stay a hidden gem so I can keep up my spontaneous cheese plate habit. So try it - if only to save me from myself (and my wallet).

French Bulldog, surprisingly unassuming from the outside considering that all of their meats for the Charcuterie are made in house! My boyfriend and I got the 3 meat, 2 cheese plate for $23, which at first felt a bit steep, but we were full enough by the end of the plate we didn't need to order anything else. We got the: Herbes de Provence Sausage, my personal favorite, really great on buttered baguette! We also got whiskey bacon, and pork rilletes, both very good! We accompanied this with Chevre and Grano Padano, both good cheeses, high quality, but not made in house, so the thing to focus on is the meats! Staff was great at offering advice and suggestions on which meats and cheese to get! I will be back without a doubt!

I'm a fan. I love charcuterie, I love cheese, and I love French bulldogs. Overall 9/10 Atmosphere 9/10 - good for outing with friends or a date Food - 9/10 Location 9/10 - right in Dundee Price - 9/10 - great for what you pay for COME HERE. Great location, great ambiance, great food, what more can you ask for. Meats are cured and hung in house. Cheeses and produce are local. BUT the pork belly sandwich was definitely a winner. Would I come back? yes!

Second time. Tried the sausage platter and it was quite a bit of food. Three whole sausages plus some sides. Didnt like a single one. Service is awesome and the atmosphere is awesome, but I cant seem to find something I like. Menu is small and time is running out for me. Next time i will try just a sandwich or meat and cheese tray. I did see the meat and cheese go out and it looked awesome. Maybe next time...

The highest quality cured meats in Omaha. My wife LOVES the pork belly sandwich and she's right: it'll change your life. The cheeses, desserts, and drinks are delicious as well. I love coming here because they have quality, artisan food at normal prices and casual atmosphere.

I was a little worried as we walked in because it was super cramped and noisy. After waiting for about 10 minutes we were able to get a table up against the wall, so with 6 of us, it was definitely cramped. From the start though, the service was extremely good. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and quick to give us our drinks, refills, etc. When our food came out, one member's came out maybe 5 or 10 minutes behind the rest of us, so they brought over a little snack plate as a way of saying sorry. I went with the braised beef shoulder. It came served on mashed potatoes. It was delicious! The menu was small, but there were several other items that sounded great. When they brought our check, they ended up comping a round of drinks we had earlier, again as their way of saying sorry for it taking a while. None of us were upset, so they definitely went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. This place definitely nails the customer service. I'm looking forward to going back.

Tried this restaurant on a whim; so glad we did! Our orders were: the steak sandwich, the bar-b-que sandwich, and the quiche. My husband and I shared both sandwiches. Both were equally fantastic. My daughter had the quiche which was excellent. She also had a virgin mango smash, made special just for her which was very refreshing. I had the coffee, the reason I mention the coffee is this: The coffee was so good I had 3 cups! All in All an excellent restaurant.

Delicious! I really enjoyed my dinner at this place, the in house cured meats were fantastic. Hearty portions of the entrees left me satisified and looking forward to coming back. I had the steak sandwich, my girlfriend had the pork belly sandwich. We shared 'halfsies' and agreed both had their merits. Our friend ordered the smoked salmon with curry rice special of the day. As a table we shared Chorizo stuffed dates and a three meat sample with the Whiskey bacon, Chorizo and Rillettes. Each had a unique flavor, tid bits of mustard, honey and candied walnuts were a nice treat along with the meat selection. They have an extensive wine and drink menu, I can see this becoming a new summer hangout for me when you just want to relax with a bottle of wine and a meat and cheese platter. I did feel the wait staff was very 'relaxed' and kept giving us more time to review the menu. Our dinner ended up being two hours, we were in no hurry, but I thought they could have been a little more attentive in that aspect. This won't keep me away, I can tell that this place will be around for the long haul in Dundee. Can't wait to visit again!

It was shocking upon entry - very casual. Enjoyed the cheese & meat plate as appetizer. I might try the vegetable dish again. The pine nut oil was lovely. My husband's meat sandwich was nothing special. But my friend from San Fran liked the cheeses so...we'll probably return. The waitress was nice. Missed a larger choice of non-alcoholic drinks. I'll go again and try something else. I couldn't put down meat on appetizer tray. I wonder if there is an option to have cheeses with veggies, instead of white bread? I know that's not French but we're watching our waste lines.

This place seems very over rated. What's the difference between charcuterie and cold cuts? Twelve bucks at French Bulldog. At least when this space was a Subway they could make a meal out of them. The atmosphere, to me, was very uncomfortable. Cramped, with tall bar stools looking down on a tiny, crowded dining room. Good perches for watching the staff wipe their hands on grimy towels as they assemble plates of salami. Barn wood on one wall, zig zag patterned tiling on another wall, vintage dark wood behind the bar. It's a mish mash that some people who confuse "different" with "cool" seem to like. Sorry. The Emporer has no clothes.

It's super cutie in this little cafe. Add a bottle of wine (and/or a cocktail or two), some delicious cheese and a selection of meats and pretty soon you're feeling super cutie as well. I always say that the reason I could never be a vegan (no offense to my vegan friends) is that I love cheese and cured meats WAY TOO MUCH. I can go through life never again eating a hamburger, a fried chicken, or a steamed whole fish (mind you, I'd be sad, but I could do it), but to abstain from cured meats and cheeses...I just don't know. So, to sit in a little cafe, sipping on my wine, nibbling on my piece of creamy, decadent cheese while staring at a window that frames (literally) a room of charcuterie, oh so happy! The selection of meats and cheeses seem ever-changing. Entree items available for folks who need something a bit more substantial. Service is attentive. Prices are reasonable (remember - it's not the Wal-mart deli counter, so budget accordingly). Location is good (of course, parking can be an issue in Dundee). Atmosphere is cozy The only downside - I wish there were a few additional accoutrements to go with my meat/cheese tray, but that's just me - I like to load my little baguette slice with layers of flavor and texture.

On a chilly afternoon in Omaha, we spent pretty much all day at the zoo and never actually managed to eat lunch. It was too early for dinner, but we wanted something a little more substantial than a snack that wouldn't leave us stuffed for a late dinner. French Bulldog was perfect! My husband and I shared a meat-and-cheese assortment for $23: three meats, two cheeses. We chose ossau iraty and brie with pork rilletes and two salamis- hungarian and herbes de provence. The herbes de provence was my favorite with a delicious lavender flavor. The cheese selection is not terribly inventive or extensive but I guess the meats are the star here and they are really good! You can have a satisfying shared lunch here for like $30 and it's YUMMY and not pretentious at all (artisan cured meats, wine and cheese notwithstanding). Also, the place is called French Bulldog which is just awesome.

I tried the French Bulldog today for the first time and it was a winner. It's a limited menu 4-5 sandwiches and 3 or so boards with a variety of items. I had the pork belly sandwich. It looks similar to a pulled pork sandwich but tastes much better. Very tender and great flavor on house made bread. Recommended.

Easily, hands down, one of the most unique and delicious places to eat in Omaha. If I could eat here everyday, I would! The cheeses are incredible and are fairly priced. You can try a little bit of everything to see what you like or to have your favorites. The pork belly sandwich was a religious experience. I'm not a big mustard fan but the course grain mustard concoction on this sandwich compliments the meat so well. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. One tip: spread your chips out and eat your pork belly over your chips so you don't lose any of that delicious pork fat once the sandwich inevitably starts to drip. Incredible!

I've never been huge on charcutterie, mostly because it is a luxury that isn't afforded to students. But French Bulldog provides a great opportunity to try different cured meats at a reasonable price...and it fits in perfectly with the identity of Dundee. I had the pork rillette's. They were buttery no doubt (i don't mean literally full of butter), similar to kalua pork if you're from Hawaii like me. The herbes de provence salami was also awesome. If you've never heard of it before, I suggest googling it and going down to Williams-Sonoma to buy some. It is an indispensable part of my pantry. The highlight of the night was definitely the pork belly sandwich. On what I would assume to be a french baguette there was shredded pork belly with a blackberry jam, creme fraiche, homemade mustard (bomb), micro greens, and melted gouda. And then it was toasted in a small salamander. It was so messy but one of the best things I've ever put into my mouth. In fact a friend and I, after having some cured meats, split the sandwich (which also came with pickled red cabbage and potato chips) and the portion sizes were totally appropriate and filling. Another plus is we met the bartender/server/guy who preps your meat. Super knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell he was busy but he still took the time to talk and answer questions. He also doubles as the manager of Amsterdam (another Omaha staple) a few doors down...so if that guy is reading this, major props to you. For 6 years of my life I waited tables and bartended so I def appreciate the extra effort. Another thing to note is we got there pretty early but by around 8, the place was packed! I would recommend coming early or making a res if possible. The restaurant itself is fairly small and excluding bar seats (about 10), I would think there are no more than 25-30 seats. I kind of felt like the light fixtures didn't match the theme of the room as they were a little more modern and sleek...but they are def better than something that's supposed to look vintage but ends up tacky. Recommended.

Food quality: Incredible. Food presentation: Always good. Favorite menu item: Charcuterie board, Pork belly sandwich, and the Bulldog Rye. Service: Personal and friendly. Environment: Almost a handmade feel, and it's beautiful. I love seeing the drying meat through the window. Other comments: This place is great for any occasion. Our 3 yr old daughter especially loves the charcuterie board. They always bring her a little dish of honey because they remember she likes to use it for dip.

I loved my meal! My friend and I finally had the chance to visit this establishment and omg, why did we not visit sooner?! I had the pork belly sandwich and it was terrific. The pork was tasty, juicy, and tender. The place was extremely busy and it took a while to received our order. The nice gentleman behind the counter gave us a complimentary plate of chorizo-stuffed dates for our wait. The dish was absolutely delightful. We had a pleasant experience. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I'm excited to come back again.

The pork belly sandwich may simply be the best sandwich I've ever had (replacing a walleye sandwich I had in Minnesota many years ago). The basic ingredients are wonderful, the rich pork belly, the wonderful ciabatta, the smoked gouda....but the thing that really kicks it over the top is the sweetness of the jam they use. No fatty mayo or tart mustard..... the sweet fruitiness of the jam is outstanding. My only complaint was that I wish they had cut their sausage for the Charcuterie Plate a bit thicker. Sampling cured meats such as prosciutto in thin slices is fine, but for a sausage I want something I can chew on a bit. The quality was outstanding, though. It makes such a difference when you fry your own chips, too. Service was very friendly and attentive as well. I will definitely be coming back to try the pork belly succotash, which sounds absolutely sinful.

Stopped in for lunch. I had the Pork Belly sandwich, my date had the steak sandwich. Everything tasted great. Service was good. I don't mind chips but its sorta a bummer that there are no other sides offered:( I think a potato salad or especially coleslaw would compliment their sandwiches nicely. Probably will be back, especially during non peak times to avoid the congestion in the small restaurant.

Saturday afternoon, late. Too late for lunch without hurting dinner. Why not bread & wine, cheese and meat? This 'snack' became a sampling of more than half the menu...way too many things...all enjoyable...some very much so. Too many samples turned snack time into dinner, and it turned out OK. A modest wine list, but we were surprised to find a favorite Rioja and enjoyed remembering why we like it so. The less-than-typical-restaurant-markup seemed a smart idea given the deli's casual 'urban Dundee' feel. Service was fun and friendly and the girl (sorry forget the name) seemed to be having a good time. That does so much for any dining experience, right? After the place cleared out, everyone was working on prep for dinner. The space is small, so a lot of prep happens right there on the bar. This gave us the unique opportunity to watch a guy juggle potatoes as he peeled them. Even after dropping one on the floor, it didn't dawn on him he probably didn't want to do that with patrons watching. It looked like he was having too much fun to notice and we didn't care. We will return.

Food: Average to just better than average. Not bad, not exceptional....just.....average. As a diner, there are so many great options here in Omaha. I question whether this should be considered as one of the "great" ones. Service: incredibly slow. Ten minutes to be greeted seems a bit much. At least we had a table. One man and his son waited at length to be greeted or even acknowledged by the staff. Then, they waited more. The gentleman went to bar to express his frustration......management definitely ignored the entire exchange. No bueno. I felt really bad for the man and his son. Not an exceptionally busy night...certainly tables available. Sure, maybe they were reserved. Who knows. Those tables did not have guests at them the entire time I was there. I do know that his service was in line with mine.....poor. French Bulldog management.....get it together. You have potential for excellence, but that is no excuse apathy.

Cute little spot in Dundee to get an artisan sandwich and a beer. This ain't Subway folks. Only the freshest and most unique ingredients here. I think Jared would probably still approve though. Also, staff is absolutely awesome!

I would say its OK. After the first time I was there, I would have given it four stars but after the second, only three for sure. I must have gotten the B team on the second go-around, the server talked to me like I had never eaten this kind of food before, knew nearly nothing about the wines and was generally an uninteresting host. I thought the Pork belly sandwich was very good, but I think if they chopped the meat, it would be easier to eat and while the rillets had good flavor, I would NEVER bring a date here... they were awkward because the bread was way too hard it should be lightly toasted at best.. the croutons were shrapnel in my mouth. The meat is stringy... impossible to eat politely. Soup was off the hook delicious, thick with complex curry flavors, and the cheese selection with honey could hardly be better. Meats were good, I love that you make them right there!! I think there is some talent here and I like the setup, but it fell short on too many things to rave about.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's Day here and had a wonderful experience. It was our first time and it will definitely not be our last. From the service to the atmosphere to the exceptional food it was a fabulous evening from start to finish. We started with a charctuerie and cheese plate which included pork belly, juniper salami and herbs de provenance with a sharp white cheddar cheese and a brie. The board was accompanied with a fresh homemade baguette, two different types of mustard, both of which were made in-house, and homemade pickles. We enjoyed everything especially the stunning presentation, everything was platted on rustic square cutting boards. There was so much food we ended up setting some aside to take home so we could save room for our main entrees. My husband ordered the sausage plate which consisted of three different varieties of their homemade sausages and a large order of roasted brussel sprouts. Each sausage had a distinct flavor profile one Indian, one Mexican and one Italian. He would recommend this to anyone interested in trying an array of their sausage offerings. He loved them all so to pick a favorite was not possible. I ordered the acorn squash salad and even though it was small it still tasted delicious. The petite acorn squash was roasted and topped with caramelized balsamic onions and roasted tomatoes. It was sitting on top of freshly made ricotta cheese. On the side was a small salad of mixed greens. I was a little disappointed with the size of the dish seeing as how everything else we ordered that night was large but I still managed to enjoy every last bite. We highly recommend this quaint little deli in the heart of Dundee. It is cozy, unpretentious and truly delicious.

I'll keep this one short and sweet. This food is totally incredible. The Chorizo is the apex of human civilization. God can't make meat this good, so it's a good thing these folks are around to take care of the rest of us sinners.

I came here for lunch with my mom. She had the quiche and greens, I had the roasted veggie salad. The wine list and charcuterie and cheese menus looked wonderful but didn't try any this time. The service wasn't great (somewhat abrupt and not terribly helpful, we felt rushed) but we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It was nice to see the meats curing in the back. Looked delicious.
