I had myself a great little dinner in here. Notice the name on the giant banner outside of the building "Express" its a to go - delivery place. I sat and enjoyed a meal of Dragon Cafe Beef, Crab Rangoon, and an Egg Roll. There are not many tables here 3 maybe. The staff is very friendly and personable. They had a ton of to go orders as I sat there. The dragon beef was very good. The sauce was on the medium for thickness and spice. while having a good ginger and pepper bite to it. bamboo shoots were crispy and more fresh compared to others i have tasted. **The crab rangoon** These were some of the better I have had in omaha. I would say top 5 in town!! Very fresh and white on the cream inside and a good bit of crab meat. nicely sized an a great crunch. The egg rolls were not good. Skip those. Overall I was very impressed. It was a great meal from a to-go/delivery style of place!!

Before this last trip to Omaha, I had been watching a Restaurant Redemption marathon. For those unfamiliar, this Cooking Channel show is similar to Kitchen Nightmares or Restaurant Impossible, but with a female Taiwanese-British host making over Asian themed restaurants. I would strongly recommend Dragon Cafe giving them a call because they need improvement with the poorly used space (limited seating/tables but there's like a living room space behind the counter/in front of the kitchen), poorly chosen decor, oily and bland food, and the blase service... they may need some redemption for their restaurant. Please call Ching-He Huang!

I was staying in omaha overnight and ordered delivery. It took about 45 min and is pretty good. They must have an expensive delivery fee though because it was $6 more than what I expected. Also - the steamed rice is awful. Absolutely awful. But everything else we got is pretty good .

Waited and hour and a half for my food to be delivered. I am 5 minutes away. When I called and when the food was finally delivered I received no apology or attempt to make things right. My coworkers and I often order from here....but no more. The food itself is sub-par at best (to be expected for a 5.00 lunch) but definitely not worth an hour and a half wait. And now to top it all off my coworkers order was wrong. Good job Dragon Express (that's a joke!) You just lost a good piece of business.

Worst Chinese I have ever had in my entire life, I am not even sure I can realistically call what I got food. I am completely disgusted and am certain that the few bites I had will result in food poisoning. I got delivery and I am scared to think what this place looks like on the inside but I am tempted to call the health department because there is no way this place can pass health codes, not based on the crap they just sent me.

My husband and I were feeling under the weather and not in the mood to cook. So we ordered dinner here for us and our 2 toddler. We ordered at 7:10 pm and 2 calls to the restaurant later our food arrived at 8:54. That was bad enough...but the food was even worse! Not worth the wait!

We tried Dragon Cafe for the first time today. We used the online service and had the order delivered. The food came within 45 min and was piping hot. The food was 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars but the main dish was a bit salty for my taste. Pork Fried Rice was very good as was the shrimp toast. Crab Rangoon was pretty good but not the best I've had as another reviewer commented but I did get them free with a coupon, so no complaints. I also ordered Crispy Chicken. It was supposed to be spicey but it wasn't at all and this was the dish I felt was too salty. Overall it was pretty good chinese take out/ delivery and I would order from here again. Went into this little strip mall joint. Not the cleanest looking and certainly not dressed up for ambiance at all. I am fine with that. Some young people were working the counter and probably deliveries. They took my order of sweet and sour pork with no veggies. I also got an order of crab rangoon. I sat down at one of the two tables and never took my jacket off as the table was right by the door and there was plenty of winter air coming in. My crab rangoon came and they were huge, hot and delicious. Possibly the best crab rangoon I have ever had. I would probably come back just to pick up some of those to go. Sadly my meal was nowhere close. The order was wrong they put veggies on it (which even when picked off have already thrown the taste by being cooked with the pork) and the pork was so overcooked that it could not be chewed through. I attempted to gnaw through a few of them-picked around some of the rice and left it on the table to be thrown away. It was very disappointing. The workers were having fun, and cussing up a storm and one of them actually realized I was there and apologized to me-which just made me feel old. I am the last person that would care-but I am sure that casualness would have sent some people over the edge. Seriously though I have had dreams about that crab rangoon.

We just found our new favorite fast Chinese place! The kids always love the sweet and sour chicken or shrimp, but we have tried several entrees from Imperial Chicken, Almond Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Yum Yum Chicken, Hunan Shrimp. All good and worth trying again. The potsickers are amazing and the wings are worth a shot too. Not an atmosphere for Eat-In - there are about 4 chairs in the small front area. Delivery is unreliable, so I always go the take out route.

I have a hard time giving this even 1 star. I waited for delivery for 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours and when the food got to my house it was cold and congealed. I got hunan delight and when I ate one of the shrimp, I spit it out. It was fishy and gross!!! Then, I dumped the whole dish. When I called and got the manager, he said that I could get some nominal amount of $ off my next meal. Or he would send another dish out but didn't know how long it would take (maybe another 2 hours?) No thanks and never again for this awful place!!!!

About as good as it gets for takeout Chinese food. In fact, the quality is actually much better than most "fast food" Chinese type restaurants. Everything I've had has been tasty and delicious. The springs rolls and crab rangoon are so yummy here. I like that they deliver or you can order on-line and pick it up. Either option, the food has always been hot and fresh. It's quickly becoming my "go to" Chinese take out restaurant.

Service/Atmosphere (****) I ordered online for pick-up. I definitely recommend the process; it's quite easy. The order was ready (and still hot) when I arrived at the time I put down. The service was friendly. The ambiance is definitely lacking, so I'm glad ordered take-out. However, for the price (cheap!), the lack of decor is excusable. Food (****) I ordered a Bean Curd Country Style. My friend a Sweet & Sour Chicken. We both agreed that they were worth getting again, but not the best we've had. I ordered my Bean Curd spicy, but it wasn't all that spicy. Overall (****) My friend and I definitely plan to come back for take-out. Both dishes were good. My one complaint (besides ambiance, I guess) is that they don't deliver to where I live (5 miles away, which according to their pricing -- $3 for up to 3 mi, $.25 for each .75 mi farther -- I would have though they would deliver to us), but it doesn't take all that long to pick up, and the service was good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
