Used to stay here for work but moved to the Hilton near the convention center a few years ago. Due to construction near the Hilton we are back here for a few months. I forgot how much I loved the location! Just a few blocks to restaurants & shopping. I think their rooms are comfortable & quiet. The beds & linens make for a good nights sleep. Unfortunately my coffee maker did not work in the morning but a call to the front desk got a replacement sent up quickly. Also unfortunately the coffee tasted horrible! A Wolfgang Puck single serve pod. I couldn't even finish half my cup. :( Hotel van pickup has moved from door 5 to door 4 since my last visit. Would have been nice of the person on the phone to tell us what door to go to. Van ride was pretty uncomfortable. Person behind me had their knees pressed into my back. Van needs new shocks.

I am a Hilton Diamond Member and stay with the Hilton a lot. My experience with this brand is the best out of all the chains so I usually stay in Hilton hotels for both business and personal travel. They are usually very clean and consistent. That being said this hotel was just ok. Nothing special. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I will probably try a different Hilton property the next time I am in town since I wasn't impressed.

I stayed here twice last month when I was in Omaha. The service is as good as it gets. Staff is very friendly, allowed early check-in both times I was there. Shuttle will take you to Old Market area, etc. Didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes for a shuttle to arrive to pick me up from where I wanted to go. HIGHLY recommend staying here!

My fiance and I stayed here over the holidays while visiting his family. The entrance and bar area of the hotel looked descent so I had high hopes for the rooms. When we got to our room it was pretty basic. I was a little disappointed. I went to use one of the lamps and I had noticed it was unplugged. So I proceeded to plug it in and turn it on. When I was finished using it, I went to click it off and the damn thing wouldn't. So that explains why the bloody thing was unplugged. One of the room phones didn't have a dial tone. And the the gap between the front door and floor is pretty big to the point where you could see people's shadows pass your door. Besides these flaws, the only high point is the friendly staff, indoor pool, and it's downtown location.

Great hotel in downtown Omaha! Friendly staff, clean, quiet, well-maintained, recently remodeled, convenient location to everything in downtown Omaha... what more could you ask for? We stayed here for one night during the 2012 College World Series, though we weren't attending any of the games per se - just in town at the same time. I got a ridiculously good rate on a name-your-own-price site. Even though I had not paid full price and the hotel had a lot of traffic from this event, all of the staff were very accommodating. Check-In was efficient and of course my companion and I each got a cookie. They also have a nice jug of coffee or fruit-infused water in the lobby depending on time of day. The parking garage is a very short walk out the awkward one-way front doors and up an elevator in the adjacent building. Efficient and pretty reasonable at $7/day, which is less than most of the other garages around here were charging for all day CWS parking. There is a small indoor pool and two glass elevators that pass the pool on the way up or down. It is cute, but nothing special. The view of downtown Omaha from the upper floors is very good, and the plaza below has several cool water features courtesy of First National Bank. The room was well appointed. WiFi and our TV worked well, and all the bathroom fixtures were in good working order. Love the trashcans divided down the center into trash and recycling. My only complaint is that the beds are not nearly as comfortable as their premium branding would make you think; just slightly above average hotel bedding nowadays. We ate at the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was very good. Good quality fruit and meats in particular. I had to wait a minute for the omelet maker to reappear at her station, but once she did, I got a very tasty treat. Service was friendly and efficient here, too. There is also a Starbucks franchise in the lobby for all of your coffee needs, though I think they close at 5 PM. Overall, a very pleasant hotel experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Though I've not stayed in Omaha (at a hotel) in more than a decade I have memories of this property from its days as a Red Lion. The property seems to be the same and that cuts both ways. What I liked: Only $7 for 24 hours of in-out parking in the attached garage. I wish I wasn't excited to only pay $7 but I'm used to seeing $18 or more for hotel parking in downtown hotels. My room was updated as you might expect, marble vanity, newer carpet & furniture, flat screen TV. DISLIKES: Whoa was it HOT! Thermostat was set to 60 degrees but it was just getting hotter and hotter. Tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. Maid was two doors down, asked her to send for help. It never came. I remembered smartphones also make calls so I used my phone to call into the hotel. I was told that they could offer me a box fan but no cooling, no A/C available, only heat. I was ready to leave a 1 star review at this point. As luck would have it the evening engineer came to fix my phone and informed me that I could open a very small door below the window to let in very little air from outside. With the heating unit turned off and the box fan on the small air portal the temperature became tolerable. Turns out the heat was turned up in the building as it was very cold earlier in the week but it was nicer weather while I was in town. No one bothered to lower the boiler or whatever it is. No "chillers" are run in the winter. Lesson learned. The only other gripe would be having to pay for in room WiFi. I didn't. Since I used Priceline to get a good rate I won't complain about this too much. OK just a little. Most places I stay offer FREE WiFi as an incentive to stay. It works. I will choose a free WiFi hotel before DoubleTree next time.

Got to stay here when the Olympic Swim Trials were going on and they were also staying at the hotel so that was fun. Lobby is large and when you walk in they have refreshing fruit infused water for you. Behind the counter staff and house cleaning staff were both super friendly as i was greeted by both everywhere though out the hotel. I had asked about local places to eat and was given a few options as well as given coupons for a free dessert at one. Great location and a short nice walk to The Old Market which has plenty of places to eat, nice shops, and I got to check out a very nice farmers market on a Saturday and ate the most wonderful Rurbarb/ blueberry pie I dream of to this very day. My room was a good size and clean, nice view, bed was comfy, tv had tons of stations to watch, and don't forget they give you warm delicious warm cookies which are always a treat.

We had a very lovely experience at the Doubletree Hotel Omaha Downtown, with extremely helpful and friendly staff, delicious warm cookie, and comfy beds. We had the ADA room which was not really all that accessible (no room for a wheelchair to get between the wall and bed?), but the bathroom was accessible with a roll-in shower with seat. Otherwise, everything was lovely. They gave us a free ride to a restaurant downtown, and an impromtu tour of downtown Omaha to boot, much appreciated!

Welcome to DoubleTree Omaha, NE Downtown. My understanding is this hotel just went under a massive renovation. Thus, the reason I am providing this more up to date review. My stay took place: Nov 22nd 2013. This hotel is located on Dodge St, a four lane one lane street. The hotel is house in a 19 story building. A parking garage which charges $7.00 per day is located right next to the hotel. The lobbby of this hotel is clean and nice inside. The staff during my stay was polite, and helpful. They asked the number of guests and provide a warm cookie for each guest. They also charged the $7.00 parking fee to the room. Overall the lobby area, parking garage, and lounge areas are well kept and clean. If you want a Starbucks there is one located in the lobby. There is also a restaurant on the 1st floor. The pool and rec room are both small, located on the 2nd floor. There is no hot tub just a medium/small indoor pool. The rooms are nice sized. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The room we stayed in was clean. Everything in the room worked. The view from our room looked out to Dodge Street. For a city it was very quiet. Little traffic traveled Dodge street. Now for the internet situation: This is where it gets tricky. We live in a generation that likes to stay connected to our WIFI. We have all these gadgets that need a connection. There are a few catches to this Doubletree hotel. When checking in we were provided with a "promo code". Not thinking to ask the staff also didn't think to give any detail on how the "promo code" worked. If you do not have a promo code the rate for the internet is $9.95 per day. I found this to be a bit pricey. HOWEVER! Good news for those who are AT&T users. And I know there are still a few out there. If you are a AT&T user or U-verse AT&T user and you know your account information you can use this information to log into the wifi (Free) for a certain time period. When logging in it gave us a few days. All we did was provided our user name and account name along with the domain (ex: @att.net, etc). We were then logged in. So my suggestion come prepared to spend the 10 bucks, ask about the promo code, or provide your AT&T info to log in for a few days. There is no complimentary breakfast at this hotel. The breakfast is a bit spendy. On the plus side this hotel is located close to the Omaha airport. A shuttle will take Doubletree guests to the Airport. Just call the front desk in advance. Another shuttle will also take guests up to a 4 mile radius to various shops and locations in the area. If the drivers aren't to busy they might go just a little than 4 miles. Be sure to ask. Overall this hotel has its pros and cons. DO NOT for a second let the cons keep you from staying at this hotel. Overall the time spent here was relaxing and I recommend the stay. The services they do offer are great. And one last hint. If its warm and you feel like going on a bike ride. Ask for a helmet from the from desk and take one of the bikes that are found in the lobby out on a spin. BE A KID AGAIN, HAVE FUN! and be green!! Go for a ride and have fun finding new places in OMAHA! Overall rating 4.5 stars...... (Would be a 5 if this hotel provided free wifi and a complimentary breakfast) Let me know what you think of this review and hotel below. Gracious Fellow Yelpers!

The staff is very friendly, and they have a shuttle to the airport (and they will take you around town too). I usually hitched a ride to the old market area. Breakfast buffet is top notch - you will not walk away hungry. The dinner menu is somewhat limited. Nothing special about the rooms. It can be crazy on the weekends like all hotels. All in all, I was impressed.

Pros: Fairly clean and nice inside, good location Cons: Aging, thin walls I had a lot of meetings and banquets at the Doubletree when I worked/lived in Omaha and it's very much a three-star place. There are definitely some positives. It's pretty clean and nice inside. The location is smack dab in the middle of downtown, which is convenient. However, the place feels and looks very old. About twenty years ago, this was probably the nicest hotel in the city, but then downtown upgraded in the early 2000s and the Hilton took over. Now it looks sorely like a relic from yesteryear. Also, the walls are so thin. You can hear everything going on. In relation to the other hotel options in the city, this is a solid three star spot.

Exceptional staff. Have stayed in probably hundreds of hotels, and the helpfulness of the staff here really stood out. The property itself is normal, good location, rooms are suitable and what you would expect from a Doubletree, but the staff made the stay a great experience.

I have stayed at several hotels while traveling for business, and I have to say this is one of the top 5 worst hotels I have stayed at. the entrance and main floor of the hotel are beautiful and it would make a nice place to host a ball or formal dinner. However, do not have anyone stay in the rooms. The room are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. But, the room have very poor lighting, the air conditioner / heater do not work well, and the bathroom fit only one small person. My husband and I stayed here for a wedding, and trying to get ready in the morning was a disaster. We are both very slender people and we couldn't both be in the bathroom at the same time. Not to mention my husband had to scrunch down in the show just to get the water to rinse his hair. The decor and couch look like they have been the same on since to late 70's. I wouldn't go sitting on any of them. The hotel doe not have valet parking and makes you pay to park in the garage next to it. However if there is an event going on downtown at all you are not guaranteed a parking spot and the next closest place is a block away. Not to mention you have to pay more out of pocket for that parking. All in all, if you are not worried about anything besides a comfy bed then you will be just fine. However, there are several other choice with comfy beds just down the street and for a lot less money.

Stayed at the hotel during the first weekend of the College World Series. Initially picked the hotel because they didn't raise their rates ridiculously during the series. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation. Our room was recently redone. Pretty standard room with comfortable bed. The room was quiet, and they offered us cookies at check in, always a plus. The hotel is convenient to TD Ameritrade Park, The Qwest center and the Old Market. The downside is you still have to pay for parking. I would definitely stay here again.

We met with the hotel booking group about 11 months before our wedding. At that time they recommended to us that we use only one hotel for our guests. We were expecting about 300 guests at our wedding, of which about 90% were going to be out of town so we expected to need about 100 rooms for the weekend. We explained this to them in person and they suggested that we could just sign a contract for 10 rooms and not for the full 100 because if we did 100 we would be required to pay for rooms that weren't booked. We offered to sign a contract for somewhere in the middle (around 50-80 rooms) however they said it wasn't necessary and there would be plenty of rooms. The room rate was set at $109 per night for 10 rooms. They said they would regularly check to see if rooms needed to be added and do so, however I had to email them several different times when the rooms filled up and guests contacted me. I sent them in email in February 1 week before our wedding invitations went out and they said they had added rooms so that we were at the max and would keep a closer eye on it. Then the next week after the invitations started to arrive I had guests contact me and tell me they were not able to book rooms and that the hotel was full. I talked to the staff and they said the hotel was full and we would not be able to add rooms. At this point we had only booked 30 rooms. Moreover, they had not added the rooms in our block the week earlier. When I spoke with the about the situation they said they would talk to management to see if rooms could be freed up. After about 2 weeks they were able to find 20 rooms they could add to the block, however they increased the price to $129 per night. When I asked why this was they said it was because they could sell them to the general public for much higher, I thought this was incredibly rude and I agree this is true however that is why we got a block of rooms. When we booked rooms with them we were told there were 2 situations, one, if they had rooms we would be able to add them at $109 per night or two, there weren't rooms, there was never a third situation where the rooms were going to be more expensive. From this point on they were very difficult to deal with and unhelpful. In addition they had welcome bags for our guests that I left with everyone's names on them and they called my cell phone (the bride) on the morning of the wedding because they were having trouble finding someones, which because I thought it was something important for the wedding I answered and while I was on the phone with them they found it. The hotel itself is nice however the lack of customer service outweighs the amenities. We were also told when reserving rooms that we would get hilton hhonors points for each of our guests and for the 50 rooms we booked (most for 2 or 3 nights each) we only got a total of 35,000 points which is one night free (if that). Also, they said that for all the rooms we booked ourselves we could get some nights free and when we asked about that later they no longer honored their word. I would not suggest staying at this hotel, especially not for a group or wedding party.

This is defintely an older hotel in need of some renovation and our room reflected this. I appreciated the upgrade for Hilton gold card members which included a free breakfast, free Internet, and room upgrade which for us was on the 16th floor. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Old Market until midnight which departs every 10 min or so from the lobby. This was an amazing perk and the best part about staying here. Our experience with our room was terrible. The bedside lamps were not working and seemed to be shorting out when we tried to plug in phones to charge. The outlets were located behind the bed making it very difficult to get to. The room never cooled down even though we had 2 thermostats cranked to 60 and the noisy fan kept shutting off and on throughout the night. For some reason the left side of the bed sloped so badly you felt like you were going to roll out. No hot water in the sink or shower. I'm very happy to say that after letting the front desk know of our experience the next morning, we didn't pay for the room. We would've asked to be moved but got to the room too late to try. If you're desperate for a place to stay, defintely Priceline this in the weekends and your room will be $80 or less.

This hotel is really nice and I'm sure it is a great place to have a banquet or convention. The room I had was clean and looked great. The bathroom was a little on the small side. Given that it was -30 degrees F outside, the heating held up pretty well. Their hotel shuttle makes runs to the airport every half an hour. When you check in, they give you a fresh baked cookie. That covers the positives. The negatives. There's only free wireless in the lobby of the hotel. I'm assuming they blew all of the Internet funds on fresh baked cookies. Parking is extra and if you want a ride anywhere from the shuttle, you'll have to try and weasel your way in between airport runs.

Looks can be deceiving. From the outside it looks like a decent hotel in the middle of downtown, but in reality it's really an aging hotel that sorely needs a renovation. Rooms are clean and it's sort of walking distance from old market. There's a few restaurants nearby including Sullivan's steakhouse. Do yourself a favor and book the Hilton across from the Qwest center if you're ever in Omaha. It's much newer, has much more amenities.

  • Mike G.

I have to say that I am not very impressed. The room smells like the doctors office. The TV is old with a very limited selection. Also, the room has an antiquated heating/cooling system, so be prepared for temperature issues. The hotel definitely needs a major facelift. Sitting in the room, you would think you're in a low end hotel. For the money, I have stayed in much nicer mid range hotels. I would recommend the Fairfield Inn near the stadium.

Dated Hotel. Rooms need updating, feels like Im stuck in the 1970's, distant smoke smell in the hallways. TV package is weak. AC did work for first night. Hotel bar is lame and food is waaaay overpriced. Staff is nice, but not trained well. Management is doing to poor job with this hotel.

Looked a lot nicer online... this place was booked and probably would have been the most convenient consider part of the Creighton Med. School celebration festivities were held here. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street and that felt a lot cleaner but maybe because it is newer or at least it felt like it. Solid hotel, we attended the Senior Banquet in the Grand Ball Room. Good times and so many lovely memories. The DJ wasn't lovely but that was probably not organized by the hotel so I won't judge... however I was super impressed with the catering...guessing ti was done by the Doubletree Hotel. I lucked out and although half the table ordered the steak, I definately got the best cut and it was cooekd to perfection. That was the first and only meal that I completed during my trip there...heck it was my frist full meal in a whole month! It's been rough lately, I've been prefeing a liquid diet. Parking is a little pain in the butt, the hotel lot is kinda akward however the location of the hotel is pretty central to downtown. Oh and the bathrooms... they need more...especially near the Grand Ballroom!!! the one next to the event was packed at all times so I went upstairs and I found one that was locked (it is supposed to be kept locked...?) and another one that only had a few stalls that a few others had found from the Sr. party as well. If it wasn't packed I totally would have slipped into the men's bathroom.... I know... so classy Shiho! Behave.

Thank GOD For Priceline Name Your Own Price !! We got a room for $50 and was there for 2 nights. The staff was nice even though they knew that they weren't getting their full fare of $115..their breakfast buffet in the lounging area was great for $10.95 but sadly I must say that the parking isn't free. Not even in Omaha,NE.. Gladly to say that it was only $7 but there wasn't Valet available. Hey it's about $35 per day in Chicago so why am I complaning ? My room was Really Nice. I didn't know that they still did "Smoking" floors as you can't even Think about a Ciggy in Public places in Chicago.... Worth the price/stay.. I'd visit again.

Thanks to all the staff@ the double tree! From the moment I walked in the mangers were so welcoming! I wish that I could remember their names so I could give them props! They made our girls weekend amazing and we are still talking about our awesome room! Also I want to give a shout out to Douglas for taking us to our destination safely! You were great!

I will not tell you the name of the hotel I am reviewing, but there are two trees involved. Many hotel restaurants are pretty sub-par, but the Doubletree not only offers a nice place to stay, but the food at the restaurant is top notch. If you pay attention to news on things like the Outland Trophy Dinner or where many of the Fortune 500 companies in Omaha have their dinner parties, you'll notice a pattern that consistently utilizes the food services of this fine hotel. In terms of the total package: nice hotel amenities, excellent food in the hotel and location, you can't beat the Doubletree. Unless you can find a Quadruple Tree. In that case, I'd stay there.

  • M D.

I hate to do this but out of principal I will give this place 1 star - maybe management will pay attention. I spend thousands per year on hotels and if a hotel does not have free wireless I don't stay. Principal. If a coffee house can provide free wireless for a $2 cup of coffee why can't a hotel for $200+ a night? This was the closest hotel to Qwest Center with availability (for Berkshire Hathaway meeting) so I had limited choices. Next year I go elsewhere. When will these big hotel chains get it.

Got a deal through Hotwire on this hotel and overall it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was good if you are looking to head to the Old Market area.

  • Christopher H.

I couldn't believe this had 3 stars on Priceline. The rating shouldn't be based on the name on the marquee. Any hotel that doesn't have free Internet, nor a refrigerator and microwave in the room should not be at this star level. They don't even have wi-fi available in the room, just down in the lobby. Really??? Stupid. The room was clean, but in major need of a renovation. Luckily I 'named my own price' at $45 so I don't feel too bad, but anyone who pays full price here is in for a surprise.

Okay - are you kidding me? So, I need to be in Omaha during the week of the College Baseball World Series. Doesn't College end in say May or early June? Yes, it does but the World Series doesn't. Literally every decent room is gone and I need to be there for business at the Federal Building across the street. I paid $249 for a total lousy room! Way to go Doubletree - thank for the total soaking! Love the way you look out for the business traveler in your so called "Hilton Honors". I travel all over the US for business and I have to say this is one sorry stop - oh so tired...dated rooms, just everything about it is mediocre. I told some of my colleagues that I had to pay $249 for a room in Omaha - we had some good laughs over that. The only redeeming quality is that most of the staff were quite friendly.

Was a package deal; attend the banquet, get reduced rate on a room. The banquet, I felt, left a lot to be desired; no water refills all night; you had to steal someone's glass to get more. The starter salad was wilted. Each table was rationed a small gravy tureen of dressing; when that was gone, there was no more. From what I heard around me, the chicken was awful. I had the salmon, and it was actually quite good. The prime rib was average, I heard. The coffee was good, but the dessert table was under portioned; not that many people like carrot cake; by the time I got in line, that was all that was left. There were 2.5 bars, and all, I felt, were tended in a sub-par fashion. Having been behind one many times, I felt things were lacking there in every way. Suffice to say I only felt safe ordering wine. The bartenders themselves were very friendly - just the bartending itself that I found lacking. The DJ was pretty bad, but that may have had nothing to do with the Hotel. The room was small, but I felt it was very clean. I liked having a modern digital thermometer for my room. It got to the temp I wanted, and stayed there. At the cost of every ounce of moisture in the air. While the bed was very comfortable, I had a hard time sleeping because the air was so dry; I couldn't breathe. No way to run the fan only (for sound); it was all or nothing. All the amenities in the room were nice. A 'fridge would have been good, though. The shower was good-sized, but there was very little water pressure, or hot water (no matter what time). $4.99 for a bottle of water seemed a little steep, too. The downstairs bar was small, but comfortable. If it had been farther away from the lobby doors (which didn't close fast enough), it might have been a better place to linger, though. All in all, I have to say that I was not impressed enough to go back.

Had to be here for training. Was very convenient to our training location across the street but other than that, just an average hotel. The rooms are decent and clean but they seem kind of old. The walls are kind of thin. You can hear everything from the adjacent rooms. The noise from the next door's AC was very annoying and the crash from the ice machine every 20 minutes kept me up all night until they fixed the door on the ice machine room. The beds are fairly comfortable. The bacon from the breakfast buffet is really good though I'm not sure I'd pay the $11 or so, if it wasn't included in our package deal. You have to pay extra for in room internet, (though they have free wifi in the lobby), parking, and $4 for a bottle of water in the room that my BF opened by accident. Some of my classmates had more problems than I, such as water not draining from the bathtub, smokey smelling rooms, a cracked window, and excessive noise, enough to switch hotels. But I thought it was OK. Tolerable. Only 4 more days until I can go home. Yay!

Warm cookies, a Starbucks, a spacious clean room with a large bed and flat screen TV, plus a free hotel shuttle to take you anywhere with a 4 mile radius! Not to mention the nicest front desk employee ever! Couldn't have asked for more. AND it was much cheaper than many comparable hotels in the area. This is my new favorite hotel. Legit.

This is a good hotel in a good location. The rooms are comfortable. The location is very convenient to downtown. Quick 5-10 minute walk to bars and restaurants. There is a restaurant/ bar on the main level that always seems busy. The staff was very good to us. Informative about the area and just smiley in general. It's a good spot for Omaha.

I'm not super-picky about hotels. I don't require luxury. I just want a nice quiet place with a comfortable bed and hot water. Here at the Doubletree Omaha Downtown, I got quiet. However, the room was drab and in dire need of updating. And my shower in the morning was tepid. I checked out the next morning, but my meetings went into the evening, so I had to stay in town one more night. I didn't go back to the Doubletree, but instead went to the Courtyard by Marriott which was in a better location and had a nicely appointed room. Enough said.

Put on a large event in the Grand Ballroom at the Double Tree Hotel .Loved the room and staff we worked with. I liked the little details like having directions from the parking garage (already posted early in the day and also in elevators)-plus signage in various other parts of the hotel. The bar staff (at the event not at their in house bar) could have turned over the drinks a bit faster. People figured out which lines to get in pretty quick. That is my only minor complaint with the Double Tree. Overall we were very happy with them.

COOKIES!!!!!! And top notch service as expected. I passed on the (not impressive) breakfast buffet but the breakfast burrito was very very good and LARGE. Located in good area downtown just a few minutes away from the hopping Old Market area, which is several city blocks of unique shops, restaurants, bars and clubs.

There was no late check out it and no way for them to hold our bags; stuck walking around with them for 3 extra hours. The toilet was clogged on arrival. The shower ring around shower was falling off. Bath tub drain bug cut toe because it would not open easiely. The room was next to elevator, so heard the elevator and people all night. I could hear other guests coming and going all night. 425 dollars for a room and 10 dollars for internet?

I wasn't going to write a review but this hotel pissed me off so bad that I just wanted to scream. Like I have mentioned from my previous hotel reviews before, I only have a problem with a hotel when their wifi isn't working or if they don't have hot water. This hotel just happened to have both of this problems that I couldn't stand. The front desk employees needs some customer service training! I called this morning and told them Internet wasn't working. She was nice enough to send two engineers and it worked fine after they restarted the router. Then around 7p, the Internet stopped working again and I'm in the middle of work! I called the front desk and he told me the same thing I've heard from other hotels who has this same wifi issues -- restart your laptop, log in to this user name, etc. For damn sake logging in wasn't the stupid issue! Geeez. It was the no connection issue. On top of that, I called from the restaurant and requested to get my room clean while I was away and got back and the room was still the same way I left it before. And their hot water takes a long time...

I stayed here after getting a room using the Priceline roulette on a weekend trip to Omaha. The staff is friendly. They give you warm cookies when you check in and are happy to make suggestions for things to do. Their suggestions do seem to be safe/approved - they recommended places that were crowded and full of older people, so we had to venture out on our own to find out where young people actually hang out in Omaha. The location - a couple blocks from Old Market - is great. Their shuttle takes you anywhere in a 4 mile radius for free (which means the zoo - just barely over 4 miles away - is a no-go, sadly, but it was great for Old Market destinations). The shuttle drivers were knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. The room - it was mostly clean and the bed was comfortable. I say "mostly clean" because it looked like it hadn't seen a deep cleaning in years - the bathroom tile was very grimy and all the walls needed paint. The furniture all looked like it had seen better days. The dresser was missing a couple of drawers and the bathroom door had huge pieces of texture laminate missing. We stayed for two nights but never got a maid visit. The TV was a decent size but they only have basic cable, no HBO. There was only one outlet that we could find, and it was far away from the bed. The wifi was slow, but it was free and it worked. The hotel chooses whether to run heat or AC and the patrons have no say in it, except to choose whether to turn it on or off in the room. They were only running heat while we were there (mid-April) even though it was warm outside, so we were too hot inside the entire time. I stopped by the Starbucks-branded cafe for a coffee on Saturday morning. The barista was friendly and fast, but the coffee just wasn't good. It tasted stale, like it had been brewed the day before. Overall, we weren't upset because we only paid $60/night using Priceline. But I would never pay full price for this place.

I came here for a corporate party and used the banquet hall. I did not rent a room for the night. Parking was difficult in that I parked in a garage about two blocks away and took the underground tunnel to get to the physical hotel, which was super confusing. The hall was really nice and spacious. It allows for a stage. They had a band, and the music made it difficult to hear anyone talking. The server/bartender staff was really nice and filled drinks regularly. For dinner, brisket and pulled pork was served. The brisket was super dry and I didn't care for it. The also served coffee with dessert, which is a treat, though they didn't have decaf, even thought it was 8 o'clock at night.

This property was okay. It is obvious when you enter your guest room they have started to slowly update. I had mix matched hardware on doors (oil rubbed bronze handles, brass door stops and chrome bathroom fixtures. The room I was given was a king suite.... Basically two guest rooms with the wall removed, great for the extra room, but weird layout.... Bed backed up to another room while the sitting area backed up to an exterior wall. The pool was under repair....no fault there it was January in Nebraska. The staff was friendly and great location in downtown Omaha!

In general, I love Doubletree. You know what you're going to get, and it is usually quite comfortable, high service, etc. This particularly location fell short of my Doubletree brand expectations. Let me first be specific that this was not directed towards the staff -- they were amazing and went way out of their way, especially Jorge. This is all about the actual hotel itself. First of all, this hotel's public spaces need a major facelift. It feels like I returned to the 80s. Of the 5 elevators, I think only two were in working order -- difficult when you have a conference of hundreds of attendees all needing to ride up or down at the same time. The pool area didn't have hot tub (really? Given how much this place was a night, I was shocked), and the pool desperate needs a) repainting and b) stair to enter it, rather than only ladders (although I did appreciate the ADA accessible lift). The hotel's system only handles EITHER A/C or heat, so despite it being quite warm for November, I couldn't turn on any cool air in my room. I didn't really have another option regarding where to stay, but given the rate I paid, I was really disappointed in the hotel itself.

The 'Doub' is in a prime spot to succeed. The location is about as close to Union Pacific as you can get. That is probably why they remain open. In a Hilton branded town it is a good thing to wave that flag high. People see it and know it. I really don't like the variances in hotels. Some give you almost nothing, but free breakfast, some you get a restaurant in. Others give you a happy hour. The Doub gives you a cookie. This hotel used to be a Red Lion and is the location that Elvis stayed at a few months before he died (at least I heard he died, don't know) When I stayed here years ago it was in dire need of renovation. I am sure it is up to date with furnishings and carpet, etc..., but it has a really old vibe. I can't get over it. I really wish the building would get torn down and open travel up on 16th street. For those that are unaware it makes a pretty big detour and could lead to confusion and disorientation. Anyways. It is a decent hotel and prime location. Hopefully it stays that way.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. I have come to expect that from the brand though. There is a pool and it is indoors but it is not the biggest thing going. Parking is $7 and connected to the building. The extra added feature was the shuttle service to the airport and the Old Market Place (restaurant/bar district). The breakfast buffet was a little highly priced for the quality, $19. The omelet station was decent, however with several events and weddings going on in the hotel, there was a considerable line to get to it and also to get a seat. The service was good, but seemed very understaffed for the level of guests. The hotel is also centrally located to nearby cultural attractions and sporting venues. The wifi was slow and constantly cutting out so it was tough to even check in on social media, much less skype in on family. Overall, a great location and a good value for a nice hotel.

Air conditioner set at 73 all night. They brought up a box fan. Guess it was better than nothing. However had a hard time sleeping. I'm a small person of size and am usually cold however I do like to sleep with the air on about 68. Woke up a lot and was swollen in the morning, not a good feeling to start your day off with.

I stayed at the Doubletree for one night after winning a Priceline bid. I always enjoy the Doubletree cookies that you get upon check-in. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I'm always happy to see a coffee maker. The bathroom, however, was not so great. The shower/tub walls and ceiling were grimy. The heat lamp was super noisy when turned on. The faucet sprayed everywhere. There were no cups or glasses, so I had to hold my head under it to rinse my mouth. The hotel is quiet and the location is good, but definitely exudes a "conferency" atmosphere. I usually stay at The Magnolia and probably would opt to do so again. Although it would have been a bit more expensive than my Priceline deal, they do have complimentary wine, cookies, and breakfast. Plus, it's a boutique hotel and the overall feel is simply cooler.

I've eaten here five times in the past year Wings, 5 stars, made from a fresh chicken cut apart that day, not frozen. Buffalo wrap5 stars, juicy, flavorful Steak salad 5 stars, large, juicy, descent meat quantity. Burger4.5 stars. Soup, large flavorful, chunky meat veggie soup. Service, fast on a busy night by friendly server, quick, always checking up, bill fast, change fast, out fast if tired, weird booth seating.

Pros: Shuttle driver and housekeeping staff are so pleasant Cons: Bed Bugs, the breakfast I had was terrible (the menu item was not at all what was described and was very pricey), rude front desk staff, very long wait line to speak to anybody at front desk. I called them to discuss bed bugs twice, and they have ignored me to date...

Stayed here during my official travel to Omaha, and was not impressed one bit by the service at the restaurant. I ordered a normal breakfast of bacon, hashbrown, and toast at about 7AM. By 7.30AM, there was still no food on my table, and I had to rush out for work. I know I am nitpicking, but for the amount I am paying, I expect bacon and toast to be done in less than 30 minutes.

This is one of the poorest hotels for the price that I have stayed in. The room was dirty and in disrepair. There is not any air conditioning in the room until summer, I was staying on a warm April day. I did not have any hot water the second morning of my stay. I would find an alternative if given a choice. I would expect this from a $60 per night hotel room. I received a courtesy call asking how my room service was. This was a nice touch, but occurred after I had turned in for the night. I gave it two stars only for the fact that staff was very friendly and deserve a star for effort.

Stayed here for work for three days approximately two weeks ago. It was an overall pleasant stay. The best part of the hotel is that its conveniently located to where we were working. The rooms are nice enough and clean and the bed is actually pretty comfy. Small complaint is that you are not able to control the temps since it gets so cold in Omaha. Heat is the only available setting you have access to. I turned off the thermostat and it did not get too warm. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and they give you a chocolate chip cookie at check in. I had the breakfast buffet and dinner at the hotel restaurant and both times very good. I also purchased Starbucks twice from the gift shop downstairs. They offer a shuttle to the nearby restaurants and to the airport. FYI my first time in Omaha and I could not get use to the cold.. If you go in February take a heavy jacket gloves and a hat ....it's so damn cold in Omaha.

I stayed here for 3 nights for work. Absolutely no complaints. The shuttle service is efficient and the drivers are friendly. The hotel staff make you feel very comfortable. Rooms are attractive, clean, roomy and the bed allows for some great sleep. Restaurant downstairs was good, hotel workout room satisfied my exercise needs. The hotel is a bit older but I don't think that deserves removing a star. Great job doubletree, thank you for the nice stay!! Nearby is a great Vietnamese restaurant called Saigon Surface.... On 14th st. Give it a try during your stay!!

After an annoying check in, it actually was a pretty good hotel for the price. First, there was no valet and the parking garage for our SUV was 3 cold blocks away. Am I crazy?? A large hotel usually has valet. The man at the front desk might have been stressed cos it was hard for him to keep his annoyed face hidden when I asked about the parking garage being so far away. We had a toilet that would flush intermittently. Bizarre. The room was okay and clean. I'm still perplexed as to why most hotels have bean bags for mattresses. Who thinks they are comfortable?? But they seem to be the standard for this level of hotel so I won't mark off for that. We ordered room service... 2 burgers. They were okay. Not much flavor. What actually made up for all of that was the service. The bed was so soft so we asked for a room with a firmer bed and instead they sent an "engineer" to fix the bed in our room. I was a bit doubtful they could engineer a better bed but they did! And to top it off they made a not to our file that any time we check into a DoubleTree hotel that our bed would automatically be fixed to how we like it. Now THAT'S the kind of customer service I like.

Yay!

Breakfast is horrible. Eggs tasted like they were straight out of a box and the biscuits were hard as a rock. Expensive for what little quality there is.

Legit.

Behave.

Old, dingy, old. You have to pay for Internet access. If they had wireless, it didn't work. Did i mention it is old?

Yay!
