I've never eaten here, this is just a review for the wine shop portion of this location. I'm looking forward to trying the food here! And hoping for some gluten-free goodies. First of all, the staff here is friendly, enthusiastic, and SO knowledgeable. I usually go to Brix (because I can walk there, living in Midtown Crossing), but we were in the area having lunch and decided to stop in. Holy cow!!! So many unique and niche wines that Brix doesn't carry. I was really excited to find some older vintages of wines I've been interested in trying for a year or two! The space is beautiful and... mysterious, in a way? Yeah. Mysterious. I felt like I'd stumbled upon a pristine secret wine cellar instead of a shop in Blackstone. It lends itself to exploring for awhile. Like I said, I haven't eaten here before (soon!), but I left with several bottles... one I'd been wanting to try, and a couple staff recommendations (I'm drinking one of the recommendations right now and it is exquisite!). I will definitely be back!

Started our evening here Saturday nite for a glass of wine and an appetizer before heading to dinner. The minute you walk in the front door you feel welcome. Everyone says hello and to feel free to check out the new location. The place is great - from the nice bar area up front all the way down the booth filled hallways to the back room. The back room has a lot of seating and garage doors that open up to a large patio with a large fire pit. They have a great happy hour and we tried a couple of the bruschetta with our wine. The smoked salmon one was delicious as was the pig and fig. Both recommended! Sadly we needed to leave for our dinner reservation which turned out to be horrible. You can read that review also! Before we left the Corkscrew tho our waiter Ryan told us to come back for dessert. So we did! Ryan was awesome and when we came back our waitress was equally nice and very pleasant. What we enjoyed is this place sells wine retail so you can pick any bottle of wine off the shelf and they have only a $5 corking fee. Bottom line: can't wait to go back and meet the rest of the staff and try some of the other food. Can't go wrong here!

Corkscrew wine and cheese is another great option for drinks and dinner in the Blackstone district. From Farnam, its difficult to see how deep the space goes, but it actually extends pretty far into the building space. The front space houses a full bar and seating with wines lining the wall for purchase or for ordering. As you travel to the back of the restaurant, there is a back room that can be used for private parties and it leads to a opened garage door that leads to a patio and firepit. We ordered many things, sampling from each category on the menu. I especially enjoyed the charcuterie board and the flat bread, and I think those menu items are worth your time and money. Many of the menu items are local sourced and all of our food tasted fresh. My favorite flat bread that we tried was the prosciutto with arugula. There are a lot of wine choices, but as you might assume, less choices for hard liquor and beers. Service was attentive and engaging. I could see this being a favorite summer spot!

I warm day turned into a lovely brunch with white wine, sangria and some nice snacks. I nice environment with some fine wait staff. Orders were quickly taken and delivered. Looking forward to another visit for more sangria and good food! We're going to be meeting our friends there too! Love the Blackstone District!

Sign up for their emailing list for updates for wine tastings and other events at both the Rockbrook and Blackstone locations. There is usually one free wine tasting event per week/biweekly which is a great time to catch happy hour food specials and taste a variety of wines. Tonight, for example, there is a free tasting of Spanish wines, which bottle price ranges from $17-75. Not even kidding. They often have one of the vintners or other representatives from the specific vineyard or region that presents the wine and educates you about the region, wine process, pairings, etc. Great outdoor patio seating to enjoy it all when weather is nice.

I can't wait to come back here! We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon with a cheese and charcuterie board and a couple of glasses of wine. All the items we sampled were outstanding and I definitely want to come back to check out some of their amazing looking flatbreads and bruschetta varieties. Our server was very friendly, perfectly timed in greeting/checking on our table and hugely knowledgable about wines, he really seemed to have a passion for it. It was very quiet on the Sunday afternoon we stopped in here but enjoyed the peaceful space to ourselves. Keep up the great work corkscrew wine and cheese!

A nestled in bar with a chill atmosphere. Has a large patio outside that many don't see. I feel like I'm sharing a secret. One of our favorite spots in Omaha. The owner, Jessica, was a sweet heart. Great beer, wine and cocktail selection.

I really hope these guys and gals can get their game on point soon. The good: Great selection of wines from easy to approach to the other end of the spectrum. Very fair prices without ridiculous markup. The menu looked pretty good, as well. A nice selection of tap beers (Including Scriptown, which is right next door) The bad: Service. More like lack, thereof. We meandered in at a decent time and the bar was filled with a few women chatting. There were 3 stools open and only 3 of us so I thought we could just belly up to the bar. My bad. I guess a fancy purse needs its' own seat there. That isn't something I expect could be remedied, but damn. Just once, I would like to see some common decency or respect for fellow patrons. Move your shit. I do when I see a couple scanning for a spot or two. When walking past the bar I scanned the taps and had made my choice, mentally. I should have just told the bartender then what I wanted and I may have gotten it sooner rather than later. We sat for at least 5 minutes before I got up and Wifle went up to the counter. I got back to the table and She was not back yet. Another 5 minutes (15 or so total if you are counting) we finally get a server who asks us if we want menus. I didn't need a menu because I was was just having a beer. The ladies looked over the menus and decided on the wines they were going to have. By the time our beverages got back to our table for the first time, we had spent nearly a half hour inside. Apologies were exchanged as they had 'got swamped' because it was a decent nice day. If a business is going to survive, they need to plan staffing better. Does anyone really think that the first nice Friday in a long time, is a night where you want to stay inside and cuddle? It's only going to get nicer for the rest of the season folks. I'll just get this to go. TL;DR: Great selection of wines, decent menu. Service needs work

I love trying new places! Since this was a second location, I already had a good idea of what I was in for but the second location really surprised me! I love the new menu. I had a variety of things but the Pig and Fig bruschetta was amazing. I also tried the Corkscrew Chopped Salad and loved the local honey vinaigrette dressing. My group picked out a bottle and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable which was impressive since it was their 2nd day being open. The atmosphere was great and this location is a lot larger than it seems. They have a big, open back room with doors that will open once the nicer weather hits. They also mentioned they are getting a fire pit which will be so nice for this Nebraska weather. Price is great. Food is good. Location is perfect for me in regards to work. Staff is well trained and friendly. I was very impressed how quickly this new location came together and how prepared and organized they are. I will probably be there again after this long work week! LOL Congrats on your new location Corkscrew!

Wine and cheese.....does it get better than that?! Well actually it does in this case! This new Corkscrew location has a broader menu than its sister store in Rockbrook (which is also lovely by the way). My group tried several things on the menu including a few of the flat breads, charcuterie and a few salads as well. I also loved their bruschetta....not only was it delicious but they offer fun and different versions of the typical bruschetta you find at other restaurants. I didn't have dessert, but a table next to me did and it looked amazing! I can't wait to try it next time I go. As for off sale wine, the options are vast. Whatever your palate is in the mood for, they will have something to suit your needs. If you're unsure about what kind of wine to purchase, someone close by will be able to offer suggestions to find a wine right for you. The staff is very knowledgeable about their stuff! And friendly too! I'm pretty sure this Corkscrew will be my new go to happy hour spot! I can't wait to take advantage of their patio space when the weather gets nice!! Great job Corkscrew, 5 stars!!!

Ever since this spot came to the neighborhood I have been stopping by. I have been there more times than I can count on both hands - and considering they just opened, a few months ago - that's a lot! My point is that I feel after being somewhere multiple times, a customer has a real understanding for what you can expect from an experience there, rather than going once and knocking it. That said - I LOVE this place. The food is my favorite style - mix and match, and share with your friends. They have wine by the glass or by the bottle - and their bottles start at about $15 so the value is great. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy. My husband who is almost exclusively a beer drinker loves coming here as well because their beer selection is great too. The wait staff there has been so friendly that they already know my name AND when I come in they offer wine suggestions based on previous purchases! How thoughtful is that? They have a patio out back that I am dying to try out. They got the furniture in recently so I am waiting for another beautiful day to go and relax.

This Corkscrew location is perfect for the Blackstone district- now you can get great beer (Scriptown), any tequila you can imagine (Mula), a classic cocktail (Nite Owl), a glass of high quality wine (Corkscrew) and a well pulled Guinness (Sullivans)- throw in some snacks at Corkscrew, the cashew butter/Jam and cheese bruschetta is unreal, some chips and guac at Mula and the Blackstone bar crawl is born! I challenge you to spend less than 4 hours on the crawl. If you want to make it a healthier version you can ride your bike down to the district, drop it off at Dundee Cycle for a tune up, pop over to a morning yoga class, buy some fresh flowers (bouquet) and new digs (Kleveland Clothing) get a straight razor shave and fix up your fade at Surly Chap barbers. Balance out too much booze with a shot of flawless espresso from Archetype (Blackstone Speedball) and you have got yourself a pretty nice little Saturday! Way to go Blackstone, thanks for being the coolest neighborhood in Omaha.
