They catered my wedding in the Old Market - just be careful. Things were not what I had been promised they would be, rental items not provided, buffet line took ages and cut into my reception. Broke my heart, was hoping for a different outcome.

First of all, I can't BELIEVE this is the first review on this caterer. Everyone at the wedding was absolutely raving about the food. This is pretty incredible to me since I've been to countless weddings and rarely walk away thinking the food was anywhere near outstanding. The highlights were the spinach salad with a delicious orange balsamic dressing and the entrees- apricot chicken and roast beef. Those in Omaha will appreciate this fact - Jeff, the owner, was the executive chef at the French Cafe for a number of years before he left to start his own catering company. If you're looking for a caterer for your wedding or an office party, definitely give this group a call!

For my wedding in November, 2010, I searched long and hard for a reasonable caterer who would prepare food up to my standards. Being someone who loves to cook, I would have rather died than serve dry chicken breast, instant mashed potatoes and canned green beans at my wedding. At the same time, being a bride on a budget doesn't give you a lot of options. I came across Catering Creations when I was at my wits end with caterers and am so, so grateful that I found them. First of all, the food in general, is amazing. They have so many options for the sides and main courses. If you are looking for a standard buffet, the cheapest buffet pricing comes with a gourmet salad (nuts, cranberries, feta cheese, real lettuce, etc), fresh fruit ,which looks so pretty on the table and rolls with butter. Already, that is much more bang for the buck than other caterers I considered. It's an even better deal because everything is fresh. On top of that, Catering Creations catered my event in Lincoln, and they were STILL cheaper than other caterers in Lincoln and Omaha...oh, AND they placed my china order for me, and picked up/dropped off all china rental items for me, for free, like it was no problem whatsoever. In addition to them being so accommodating, the staff just really went above and beyond during the wedding. They were so kind to all of the guests, they assisted the wedding coordinators at the event move tables, and waited a good amount of time to start taking plates from guests. Many guests told me for weeks after that it was the best meal they had ever had at a wedding. I can't agree more. I stuffed myself silly, and that was difficult to do as the bride! There really isn't anything more gratifying than sitting at the head table and watching people hoof it back to the buffet for a second heaping plate of food. I forgot to mention - they also cut your cake...FOR FREE!

Food created to feed the masses (i.e. hundreds of people) simultaneously, it to be judged accordingly. That taken into consideration, I definitely enjoyed the 'blues-inspired' fare at this year's Marianfest dinner, courtesy of Catering Creations. My favorite part of the meal (which consisted of beef brisket, grilled chicken w craw-fish beurre blanc, whipped smoked chili potatoes and baked corn souffle) was actually the salad: southern coleslaw with jicama, red grapes and toasted pecans in a pineapple cilantro lime mayonnaise over a bed of lettuce greens. So maybe this goes without saying now, but they're obviously capable of so much more than the standard large group fare of meat, veggie, starch. Definitely enjoyable, though not so much that I wasn't able to stop before eating well bey one my means, which their portions allow one to do, if you're looking to get your eat on.

I used Catering Creations for my wedding in June, and I can honestly say that I could not have been more pleased and impressed with both the service and the food. The staff was presentable and professional, punctual, and SO helpful. They arrived early and took responsibility of various tasks for us that had nothing to do with the food (like running around and lighting dozens of candles and moving furniture). The food was incredible. We did a heavy hor'deurves buffet with stuffed mushrooms, toasted raviolis (to die for), grilled asparagus with lemon tarragon sauce, toasted potato truffoli, stuffed roma tomatoes, and crab cakes. It was devoured. I recommend Catering Creations to anyone in need of catering an event. You can definitely trust this organization to make any occasion a dream come true for you, and to help make it a breeze!
