A good place to unwind after a long week, very simple menu pizza, chicken, steak, prime rib on Friday the prices are very reasonable! The service is good for a bar very laid back place ....tons of appetizers fried pickles are good, we enjoy ourselves everything's we come in.....it had a small town flavor on the edge of the big city (lol) never had a bad meal here - living large a top from your uncle Don

Cleanliness 4 Service 3 Food 4 Likelihood 4 1-5 (5 Best!) 3.8 Lunch for 4 please. My first time here. A great out of the way place, far North in Omaha. We started off with a great server, so very friendly. The food was AMAZING! Hot, freshly made, and not frozen processed stuff! GREAT JOB! Our server gave us our food and we never saw her again until it was time to present the bill. No refills on beverages. It is worth the trip, worth the time, and worth a second try for me. This was the first time in YEARS that I could not eat my entire sandwich!!! The club is 2 sandwiches in one.

Hmmm...they seem to be going the wrong direction! Poor service...food was incinerated and the waitress, well she wasn't even on this planet, much less from it! Overcooked onion rings that were way too greasy to enjoy. The chicken was dry and tasteless and the burger was burnt. Our friends food didn't fair much better than what we got. We all left feeling let down since all of our previous trips were great! And what is up with the waitresses wearing flip flops in a restaurant? I do think that violates some health code about having non-slip shoes on! Well we may have to drop back and see if it was an off day or not. We always get a pizza to go after dinner, but not this time! They killed their own sale on that one with the sub-par food and service.

I came here on the recommendation of a few Yelp reviews and was greatly disappointed. I heard they were having 'problems' in the back room, but our table did not receive any food for almost an hour and one plate (the New York Steak) had to be sent back because it had grown cold... My Cabin Breakfast Burrito sounded great on the menu but when it was placed before me I was just amazed at how unappetizing it looked. I had heard rave reviews over their hash browns (and I love my hash browns), I couldn't believe the small size. The Cabin itself is an nice looking place, it really looks like an old cabin, but on a Sunday morning, the large TV had wrestling playing, and another had a church service going. I so wanted to give this place a great review, I even thought about giving it a third star just because of my friend's enthusiasm for the place, but as I looked around, there must have been at least a half dozen tables with patrons staring away without any food in front of them. Sad.

Pretty much an okay bar and grill, with a couple highlights. The Cabin is a nice 'everyman' bar. Lots of TV's normally playing all types of sports, along with a pool table, darts, a jukebox, and karaoke on the weekend. This place is usually pretty busy with a lot of regulars. From a food perspective, they serve breakfast on the weekends, but I haven't checked it out yet. Their lunch and dinner fair is pretty standard bar food. On a recent visit my wife had the BLT (looked good and she liked it), and I had the Chicken Fried Steak (Matt M recommendation). I have to say the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was a standout! It was definitely hand cut and breaded, was fried perfectly, and is one of the best I've had! My family was in town and my dad had the Rueben...his rating was 'meh'. My mom had their 'Beef Noodle' soup and was not impressed. Her comment was that it was 'thicker than oatmeal'. Overall this is a nice place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Definitely a locals watering hole.

If you're looking for some authentic diner/greasy spoon food then the cabin is a great option for you. It is located in Florence-a bit of an under visited area of Omaha for most citydwellers I would hypothesize. However given it's location in a smaller population, it serves as a diner, a local watering hole and a sports bar. They've got plenty of TVs hooked up to all the games and the cheery flags of the big 10 adorn the ceiling ceremoniously. Breakfast is served from eight to noon and that's what you really want to go for! They've got some great breakfast food for very very reasonable prices. I thought the chicken fried steak there was very good none of that ground-up meat stuff inside of the chicken fried steak it tasted and looked like a flank steak. The Eggs Benedict was also pretty good I got it as a special for the day. It also only came out to about $16 dollars total which is about half the price of anywhere else in town for brunch. Totally your neighbor bar and grill! Due to proximity from my house it won't be a frequent visit but when I'm craving some legit CFS (chicken fried steak) it'll be on my radar.

This is the best chicken fried steak and eggs I have had in Omaha. It was and cut and breaded. The hash browns were hand cut also. The buttered sourdough toast, eggs & the gravy were great also. Aimee had biscuits and gravy and loved it also. She said it was the best she has had in a long time. Definitely a great place for breakfast.

Not a very good place to go to to get away from the heat it seem like the air conditioning was broke. Service was pretty good the food was ok. Probably would not go back to this place unless you get the AC fixed.

I have always thought about eating at this place, but it's usually when I am driving home from a long trip and getting off the interstate to head to mid-town Omaha. This past weekend it came up on my Yelp bookmarks, I had time and thought why not. So I made the drive out to Cabin Bar & Grill for lunch. I always thought this place looked good from the outside. Nice wood cabin exterior. Walking in and the place is really dark, has a NASCAR feel to it, some sports flags (didn't see any Huskers) and a large bar and plenty of room to eat. The place was heavily staffed for the amount of people that were eating here, not that the place was empty. I was told to seat myself and was given a menu. I had to use to my cell-phone light to read the menu, which is part me getting older and part that it really was very dark in there for the middle of the day. I ordered a mixed drink, the steak and potato soup that I saw on the pitch sign out front and a french dip sandwich with fries. Mixed drink was fine. Waited with anticipation for the soup. My meal came and no soup. I was asked if I still wanted it, I did. The steak and potato soup was hearty, full of potato and pretty decent chunks of steak. I would have liked to enjoy it earlier and that would have probably set this meal up a little bit higher. The french dip was basic, not high grade beef, on a hoagie bun. It tasted perfect and the Au Ju was great. It brought me right back to a place I got french dip's from as a child and I would take this over something more fancy any-day. Great comfort food for me. I always ask if the fries are seasoned and how much. I was told no here, and for once the waitress was spot on. Classic crinkle fries. Nothing fancy, but better than the over-seasoned kind. Service was fine. Nothing over the top- but nothing to complain about. Honestly this is close to a 3.5 experience, but a few things just kept it from being a four. i would come back here again though and I am sure I will. I have a feeling they serve up a good breakfast.

The service was fantastic...the waitress was beyond nice. The triple decker Rueben was great...go for the onion rings (they might not be home made but they were tasty and the fries were only so so)

Slow service. It was a Sunday but still... 5 tables.... at least greet people and throw em a menu or something. We sat for 15 min and then left. Idk - it may be better next time. Seemed like a locals bar.
