Most fun I have had in long time. Friendly service and fab ambience. I laughed and drank a variety of rad smoothy drinks. Could not keep up all tastes and just yummy . A must go for night out plain fun and conversation. Unique to Omaha.

Definitely a dive bar! Bring cash. Once, i went during the middle of the week and a guy was doing stand up. It was good entertainment. I like the atmosphere. It's dark and cozy. Grungy in a good way.

I can't really add anything that everyone else hasn't said already. The owners are super laid back and I loved that they remembered me from one week to the next--we used to walk down every Monday night after tacos at Crescent Moon. Their jukebox is THE BEST. So rad hearing old punk rock instead of...whatever else people usually play on jukeboxes. I've met a lot of cool people here and have nothing but good memories.

The owner works the bar friendly service clean behind the bar and the regulars are nice and welcoming to newcomers. Must visit.

I went to Brothers for the first time in years while back in Omaha for Thanksgiving and it's refreshing to know that nothing has changed. The drinks are still cheap (their specialty is the Moscow Mule served in a gold mug), and the patrons are laid back and of the hipster variety. I ran into a bunch of people I used to know in Omaha back in the day, so in a way it felt kind of like Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Don't ever change, Brothers.

The Brothers is a great place to meet friends and enjoy a few drinks. Comfortable seating and good prices. Had the naked ray gun and it was awesome. Cash only, no problem. Pool table and plenty of room, would go back in a second. Jukebox, but no songs I knew, shows my age, but didn't mind.

The Jukebox is full of jams. Is that UnPunk to use the word jams? Probably. The owners were pouring the drinks during my visit, and pouring them quite nicely. The vibe was awesome, the price was right, and the doorman called us a cab at the end of the night (he was way nice). I had never been to Omaha before, but I will for sure hit Brothers on my next trip there. It was a blend of bars I love.

"Carpet and beer don't mix, like two dicks and no bitch, find yourself in stinky shit." Pull up your carpet and go with hard wood. Then you will be a five star establishment. Your combination of a chill vibe, cheep beers, mounted animals, and good tunes, makes you a winner. But your wretched stench upon entry keeps you from being a champion.

I've always liked this bar, good music, good people, good drinks, good prices, great bartenders. You're likely to make friends for life at this place. The juke box is awesome. You can play ANYTHING and no one would think twice. true story.

There's always something interesting going on at Brother's. The owners are genuine, honest people who always call me by my name (even if I haven't been there for months). Lalaya is a sweet heart. Pitchers are cheap and the mixed drinks are always good. Bring on the Tuaca!

Brothers Lounge is similar to the Old Dundee - only cleaner, (somewhat) classier and more comfortable. In fact they have the best seats of any bar I've been to; seats that let me lean and swivel like a pimp. Cheap mixed drinks and an interesting selection of jukebox music. I also enjoy the danger of getting money from the ATM that is placed next to the darts. And the shower curtain used as a womens' restroom door was top notch!

I'm conflicted about this bar. Or perhaps it's the crowd. The bar itself has a great layout. The darts aren't in anyone's way, nor is the ATM. The pool tables are in a perfect little niche on one side of the bar, and everything is spaced out nicely. Good beer selection - prices aren't too bad. The owner is friendly as hell and a super nice guy to chat with on a slow night. Many of the patrons seem very friendly, and I've never had a problem striking up a good conversation. On that note, a lot of the customers also seem very cliquey and pretentious. I don't claim to understand the mindset of a hipster, or an emo, or whatever the hell else people are going by these days. Fortunately, those people don't seem to be the majority, and they're usually easy to ignore. I hate the jukebox. I don't think there's one album on there that I've ever heard of. A lot of my friends think the juke selection is "rad," but I'm not into indie music that sounds like it was recorded in a tiny apartment. It is cheap to play, though. Sometimes I'll throw in a fiver, get a ton of credits, and just push random numbers, hoping to eventually find something I like. Oh, I'm not a huge fan of the pool tables, either. They seem to sit nearly 6" higher than others, and when you're only 5'7"ish, that matters. I've been here a dozen times or so , and will continue to. So far, I'd say I was bored 2 of the times, had a great time 3 or 4 times, and the rest was decent. I gave 4 stars because of how comfortable the place feels. To summarize: Great staff, interesting (usually friendly and chatty) crowd, comfortable feel. I'd recommend anyone check it out at least once.

Quiet. Cheap Pabst. Owners are cool. But man, do these Omaha kids think they are hip. Congratulations on latching onto the tail end of a ten year old fashion trend. Luckily, hipsters don't usually cause a scene until the skinniest, trendiest guy there has had enough to drink that he decides to get masculine about some retarded indie band being disrespected. This bar is great, minus the expectation of hip. The owner is NOT a hipster.

I stop in here almost every Friday for happy hour with my husband. We have a few beers and split some popcorn and talk about our week. It's cool, dark, quiet, clean and I think theres only one TV in the whole place. I recommend following them on facebook too, it's pretty entertaining. P.S. Bill Dauterive is always there sitting at the end of the bar.

By far one of my favorite bars. It is hard to find a place to get nice and happy drunk without worrying about some dudes wanting to kick your arse for looking badly at their girlfriends. If you are not a huge fan of television sets the size of Montana flashing everywhere and prefer late 70s, early 80s punk jukeboxes-this is your place. Good to spend any day or weekend night of the year and even go in for a drink alone. Most other bars, you will find some self- loathing regulars who want to argue about Husker football. Don't forget to try the moscow mule.

The Brother's Lounge is a unique joint for anywhere, particularly for Omaha. Have you ever walked up to a jukebox and thought "I'm sick of Bon Jovi, I would like to listen to Bad Brains or Big Black's album "Songs about F_ _ _ ing". This is still the only bar, I've ever been to where you could do exactly that. And no one would bat a fake eyelash. Overall, this is a very cool crowd that covers the generation span. I've had some very cool conversations with people here, who I normally wouldn't have the opportunity to interact with. On a given night, you could have your local straight-edge punks, Creighton preppies, UNMC medical students, Harley Davidson AND the Marlboro Man, plus girls from Omaha Roller Derby in the same bar. Like no other place in Omaha.

One of my favorite bars in Omaha. This place kicks major booty! Their juke box is AMAZING, the owners are cool as hell, the atmosphere is chill and laid back and they have darts, pin ball, and pool. Oh yes, and the bathroom stalls are chalkboards with chalk in them so you can doodle while you tinkle :)

We spent a night in Omaha on our way across country, learned about Brothers on Yelp and gave it a shot. If this place was in Boston, I would probably give it 3 stars. But for Omaha, I'll give it 4. Pretty basic bar, wicked cheap pints ($1.75 for a pint of PBR, wohoo!), and one of the bartenders (the shorter of the two - the tall one was lame) was cool. Also, they do have some cool pinball and video games and their jukebox is one of the the most unique I've ever come across (almost all punk!). A decent place to grab a pint if you're in town.

Expected more, after reading all the good reviews.: Maybe I set myself up for disappointmet, maybe I just don't fit in anywhere! Ha, ha. Experienced the place at two distinct times of the evening; once at around a "happy hour" time frame (6:30-7:30-ish on a Saturday), and a late-night time frame (11:00-1:00 on a Saturday). Early, it was quiet, and us 30-somethings were the youngest customers there. But, the service was good - we got a fresh-brewed pot of coffee just for asking, the prices were decent, and we got free refills. That time of day, seemed like a small-town bar in "the middle of nowhere", Nebraska. Later, it was crowded; no parking - no lines though. Yes, there was punk music playing. Everyone seemed to be friendly-enough. Lots of smoke, no ventilation. Just didn't feel the big 'vibe'. Well, everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves, so that is something. ;-) I can see how it could have gotten the good reviews, but it's just not a place I would go back to. :-)
