Went here for the first time in my life today and I was not really impressed. My eggs were cooked perfectly but my corned beef hash was out of a can. Everyone else seemed to approve of their pancakes, french toast, bacon etc, but it was all standard fare.

My ex-boyfriend gave the best description of this place I've ever heard: It's like if a Greyhound bus was a restaurant. It's in a sketchy part of town and there are definitely some questionable people inside, but the food is amazing, cheap, and comes in huge portions. Also, all of the staff are excellent. It closes early, so come early. And it is usually extremely packed on Sunday mornings.

As an undergrad many moons ago, there was a local diner called Shortcakes, which is where you went after the bars closed. You'd go with your friends to have a late breakfast to ease the next days inevitable pain. I ate many a meal there, some I remember, and my go to option was the Western Omelette. I've tried many since and few have lived up to the wonder of those drunken meals.........until I went to 11-Worth Cafe. I found a great Western Omelette and was totally sober! We've been looking for a great breakfast spot and I had, of course, seen the reviews. I had also been referred to 11-Worth by a few colleagues. I stopped in recently on the way to work on a Tuesday morning. I love the place. It looks and smells like a diner should. Reminds me of a place I use to go as a kid with my grandma and that's a good thing. The servers are friendly and efficient and the food is plentiful. I ordered the junior omelette with hash browns and biscuit and barely got through the thing. I cannot imagine eating the regular portion, which is apparently four eggs! The western omelette is loaded with ham, veggies, and cheese. It's so good. The hash browns are prepared perfectly. My wife, who is a hash brown junkie, and I went back a couple of days later because I knew she'd love them. And she did. Everything about our meals were great. Our server the second time was named Maggie and she was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Part of the fun is people watching, as you get folks from all walks of life in there on a given morning. If you are one who is able to hit breakfast on weekdays (M-Th), you can sign up for the VIP card, which gives you 15% off your ticket. With the discount, my solo meal came to like 8 bucks with coffee and my wife and I got out of there for under $20, including tip. It's a nice little discount on already very reasonable prices. I have a few other diners bookmarked that I am sure we will try, but right now the leader in the clubhouse for best breakfast in Omaha is 11-Worth. It's fantastic.

All I can start by saying is: Holy hot beef. I am madly in love with 11-worth cafe for multiple different reasons. First, it's so cheap compared to the amount of food you get. Second, the service is quick and everyone is very welcoming and friendly! And lastly, I am officially a VIP and it makes me feel important . On my last visit, we had gone in later in the afternoon so I wasn't feeling too much for the breakfast side. I had noticed on the entry sign that the special was a hot roast beef plate, I highly considered it. Our waitress mentioned the special again so I took it as a sign that I should get it...and I'm very happy I did. The meal was HUGE! Bigger than the size of my head x2. There were two large scoops of mashed potatoes on top of two large pieces of toast with a pile of roast beef slathered with brown gravy. I was in heaven eating this. The gravy is to die for and the roast beef was tender and juicy -- all for 8 dollars! I couldn't even finish half my plate, very hearty and delicious meal. Overall, always have a pleasant experience and have yet to be disappointment with my entrees!

Fantastic breakfast food and at a super affordable price. Big portions. We had excellent service. Ask for Cici. She's the best. We're only in Omaha for a few days and will be going back for their breakfast before we leave!

Fiancé and I visited this establishment finally, we have heard so much about this place. We got here about 8am which was perfect, we even got parking right in front. We got the ultimate omelette and the Denver. Our first thought was it was kind of pricy, until we received our food. The portions are huge, we both took half our meals home. The restaurant was consistently busy and got more busy as time went on. Service was great, food was fast. Lives up to all the hype. As we walked out the door the place was packed, definitely recommend coming as early as possible, prior to 9 if you don't want to wait.

There's a certain mystique about this place that makes it more than your typical "greasy spoon" restaurant. The service was great and the food and variety was better than most breakfast cafes out in the area. Highly recommend!

One of the best breakfast spots in Omaha. I don't make it out this way nearly as often as I would like!

The place was extremely busy for a Sunday noon rush but our 20 min was worth it. We decided on lunch instead of the popular breakfast everyone else was eating. My side salad was your average salad and my country fried chicken with country gravy was tasty but was overlooked. The hashbrowns were top notch - crunchy top & with the right amount of saltiness. Service was good as well. The Hub's country fried steak was definitely one of the best I have had so my recommendation would to order it as oppose to the chicken.

  • Monica H.

The food is amazing. The portions are large enough to feed 2-3! We had 6 people in our party and our bill was $55..

I'm giving 4 stars which is pretty silly(it's good food). This place must have given jobs to countless, somewhat down n out chicks over the years. The service has been great everytime I've been there. The food has been delish, not just breakfast food either. They have a great Ruben (better than creasnt moon anyday) support local joints like this. It would suck to loose this one

AMAZING food for under 10$ Meals fit for a king lol. HUGE PORTIONS. Food is ready in like 10 min. Best breakfast in Omaha hands down

  • Shane F.

The country fried steak is the best I've had in a long time. The service was fast and friendly, and the portions are large. I took half of my hashbrowns and country fried steak home. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy. We signed up for the free VIP card which gives you 15% off Mon-Thurs. Breakfast for two was only $15. We will definitely eat here again soon.

Great food at a great price, I would definitely recommend grabbing breakfast or lunch here. The service is fast, large portions, and affordable. What more do you need?

Holy goodness, this is one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. HUMONGOUS portions, very affordable prices, friendly staff, and downright delicious food. Two of us made the (very tasty) mistake of ordering a Country Potato casserole - mounds of hashbrowns covered in cooked vegetables, a generous chunk of country fried steak, and two different kinds of cheese, served with gravy on the side (and we got poached eggs to throw on top) AND a country fried steak, which came with eggs, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The waitress tried to stop us after ordering the casserole saying that would be enough, but I thought we'd be ambitious. In the end, we polished off the casserole after sharing it, and maybe got a quarter of the way through the steak - we left the hashbrowns and both biscuits for later. First, the casserole - amazing. We added hot peppers - and they did not skimp. And the hot sauce they provided worked so well with the dish. They also did not skimp on the portion of steak included in the casserole. Just good old fashioned comfort breakfast, and absolutely something that I will have dreams about in the future. It's the kind of dish that made you wish 11-Worth was a national chain!! As for the second dish, the steak was excellent, the gravy was delicious, and the hashbrowns were perfectly done - crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle. The biscuits - consumed three days later - were large and very good (though I wish we had eaten them earlier). The wait staff was excellent, frequently refilling the coffee, providing to-go boxes, and they all possessed a positive and friendly attitude. All of that food with the two coffees clocked in at less than $25 - a steal for how much you get. I may fly back to Omaha just for this. I have heard great things about other places in the city also, but I can attest this is real deal, comfort food worth craving.

We've lived in Nebraska for over 2 years and always noticed the line down the street waiting for this place. Today we finally decided to give it a try and it was so worth the wait. Our waitress, Casey, was phenomenal! Super friendly and helped us with any questions we had. She made us feel at home. I ordered the breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the General Lee breakfast. This was by far the best breakfast I have had in Omaha since moving here. Can't wait to try their lunch menu items as well. We will be back soon! Thanks!

When the waitress tells you they serve "massive" portions, it's no joke. I ordered a Jr. size of the Santa Fe Chicken Omelette and was plenty satisfied. The normal size omelettes are colossal. No extra charge for cholesterol-free eggs is a nice touch. Pretty large wait on a Sunday morning as expected. We were told that the wait would be 20 minutes, but ended up getting seated in 40, so one star off for that. Thankfully, there's plenty of seating and free coffee to pass the time by. 11-Worth is definitely worth your time! Not too loud, crazy cheap prices, and delicious not-too-greasy brunch food. I'll be back.

Another stop on the biscuits a gravy quest. Their serving here is huge. I added eggs over easy as usual. and pickled jalapenos! The peppers had a pretty healthy kick to them, so this was a delicious dish for me. Tender and fluffy biscuits were dressed up with just the right amount of gravy. The gravy seemed well prepared but I may need to come back... those peppers rocked my brain and tongue into amnesia! Service was awesome. I started talking to a table of four advanced aged folks behind me about Omaha and its seemingly aggressive drivers. This has been my observation, even though the people here are more friendly and laid back than most places. We had some laughs about that and talked a bit more about Omaha. Turns out my compliments of Omaha were influential enough that they bought my breakfast! Awesome!! I can't wait to pass that on to some unsuspecting eater at some point soon!

Standard diner . Clean. Service was quick. Got a fried egg sandwich and a sausage biscuit. The egg on the sandwich was unfortunately like rubber. Overcooked. Sausage biscuit was about the same size as a McDonalds biscuit, but came with two patties. The real drawback was that a similar sized sausage biscuit at McDonalds is .99 cents. The sausage biscuit at this cafe with two patties cost me $6.99. That was pretty outrageous Pretty overpriced for what I got. Might go back to try the omelettes

This is a great place for breakfast. I love the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It is a must order. :) The staff is friendly and though it can get extremely busy they make sure everyone is taken care of. The down side is that it can get very loud and the waiting area very crowded.

Great service and great food! Very generous portions, get the Jr size or plan to share unless you have a huge appetite. our table ordered 11-Worth omelet, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, pancakes, and a breakfast croissant...Everything was great! Milkshakes were fabulous too. Our server, Sara was the friendliest!

Another weekend, another brunch opportunity. Came in on a Saturday right before the rush, when we left the waiting room was packed. I can only assume the tables weren't turning because the portions are HUGE. We shared the eggs Benedict and the biscuits and gravy, the Benedict had a strange taste to it but couldn't put my finger on it. This really isn't the place you should be ordering that anyhow. The sausage gravy was stick to your ribs good and available to purchase by the gallon. Also split a pancake, nothing special, fruit was offered as a topping but not baked in. So full at the end with half my hash browns left. If I went back I would share a meal.

Hands down the best breakfast in Omaha! This place has great service, excellent food, and huge portions! If you're planning on visiting on a weekend then be prepared for a wait (usually about 20 mins, but may be longer). Just remember, there is a reason they are always packed and it is worth the wait. I have had a variety of dishes from the menu and I have yet to be disappointed. If this is your first rodeo, I definitely recommend ordering the junior omelet. I have yet to find someone who can finish the regular in one sitting, they are huge! My favorite is the country potato casserole. This dish is piled high with hash browns, onions, peppers, cheese, chicken fried steak, mushrooms, and white or brown gravy (I prefer white). This dish is large enough for my fiancé and I to split and have leftovers! The Caniglia's are a great family who really care about their customers and take pride in their restaurant. A must stop for people visiting the area and for those who are lucky enough to live in Omaha, this should be a regular spot for you.

Great lil' diner. Nothing fancy, just amazingly good food and friendly service. I no longer live in Omaha and this was my first stop once I got back in town. They're famous for their biscuits and gravy. Today I tried the country potato casserole and it was heavenly. Their hot chocolate is also amazing...the whip cream must be homemade. Our waitress Sarah was super friendly and even brought us to-go cups for our waters since it was scorching hot outside, without us even asking. Five stars!!!

This place was worth the likely 1,000+ calories I ingested. The vanilla milkshake was fantastic, I couldn't help but steal my youngest cousins extra that they serve with the large glass of shake (she offered, in my defense). I split a junior portion of the biscuit gravy sausage and hash brown and I'm so thankful we did. Even half a junior portion was plenty! The staff were sweet, and gave balloons to my cousins on our way out. We were there around lunch time on a week day and there were still a lot of people filling the place. I can't imagine how long the wait would be on a weekend.

  • Huy L.

Love this place but brunch during weekend might be impossible task, line can go out of the restaurant around the corner of the block and beyond, it's rare but can happen. For that reason I never actually ate inside, I always order for take out: 15min for take out vs 1hr to get a seat, I get my a$$ back and forth to not wait in line. Food is as great as comfy breakfast food can be, I really recommend the giant chicken fried steak.

  • Kyle T.

If you're looking for classic diner breakfasts, this is a solid choice. Just make sure to wear loose-fitting clothes, as the portions are enormous (we don't coast!). My chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and eggs took up 3 plates. Not kidding. Nap sold separately.

Huge portions and delicious food and cappuccino for a great value. If you are looking for a nice heart casual breakfast or brunch this is the spot. If you are hungry and looking to pig out come here. If you are looking for a classier brunch there are other spots lot2 upstream etc. Breakfast burrito and the biscuit and gravy sandwich are my go to items.

Best biscuits and gravy in Omaha! I've been here a few dozen times and can't believe I haven't written a review yet. As the other posters have said, the food here is inexpensive and portions are plentiful. I come here for the food... But I stay for the great people watching. The service here is always very very good, The servers are always extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly and good-humored. They are also extremely good about getting people seated quickly... even when they are super busy I don't think I have ever had to wait more than 10 or 15 minutes to be seated here. One thing I wish they would change: start offering Orsi bread for your toast. The toast is not great here. If you're looking for a great Sunday morning supercasual brunch place with extremely delicious diner breakfast food... This is the place to go.

11-Worth is one of my favorite breakfast places. The key to having a good experience is coming early. If you get there before 9am, you probably won't have a wait. If you come at noon, the place is packed and you can end up waiting 20 or 30 mins. Plenty of people seem to think it's worth it, but I'll admit, I'm not one of them. Not on top of the 20 mins it takes us to get here in the first place. As to the food, it's typical greasy spoon food done right. Their hash browns and eggs are my favorites. I also love their muffins, which are often served nice and warm. As other people have mentioned the value is great, the portions are huge. We always take home leftovers.

Came in with my kids for lunch, they loved the pancakes! Service was great, speedy and friendly. My kids were a big hit, all the servers were so nice to them and took the time to talk to them. They loved the balloons and suckers they got from our waitress also.

Great service. Great food with more than enough serving portions for the price. You will most certainly get your money's worth here! Always packed each time I've been. You'll see plenty of regulars here.Wish they stayed open later. I need to actually try to get pics of their food, before devouring it :) When I'm HUNGRY, I come here.

I've been coming here for apprx. 2 years and no one else makes the hashbrowns like here , no other breakfast establishment. It's good and affordable and they give you your money's worth. I always have the number # 13. The only thing that upsets me is why don't they change to another coffee . Sorry guys but , I have a hard time drinking it at least offer some flavored cream to go with it. It's busy, but we were seated right away, friendly staff, waitress remembers us, from other visits. They make it inviting for everybody.

Yelp steers me right again. Breakfast look no further than the hash brown casseroles. I had the version with the steak tips and LOVED it. Phenomenal flavor, huge portion, you need say no more. Plenty to share, will be back when in Omaha. Service was also fantastic and their prices are very reasonable.

What a great diner! good for early hangover breakfast and midmorning food. Kind of divey, but that is how I like my breakfast. A lot of truckers, hookers, drunks and assorted others eat here so don't be pretentious. the waitress may call you 'hon' and that is fine by me. Really good hash browns.

Ive been looking for that down home cooking that you just CRAVE! This is my place. A little greasy and a little salty, but damn its comforting. Anything you get will have HUGE portions. Longish wait, but worth it!

A Omaha treasure! I grew up with my grandma taking me here for our Saturday morning routine of 11worth omelettes and thrifting. I recently moved back to Omaha and first stop was 11Worth so my California native boyfriend could get a taste of the midwest culture and portions...lol He was won over by the nostalgic greasy spoon atmosphere kind and prompt service and the huge portions! An Omaha best for many reasons hope to take my future children there to continue tradition!

Food is good, good presentation, very appetizing, lights are warm, service is not bad, but the vibe is wrong, people stare and literally turn around and stare, I actually didn't see any other Asians that day, is that why?

I am new to town so relying heavily on Yelp reviews. The reviews for this place seemed generally positive so we tried it out, I would say it was pretty disappointing. The food was not as good as Perkins; somewhere similar to Village Inn. I went craving a good pancake; I would have been better off at McDonald's. Overall I was disappointed with the food. The area of town is pretty sketchy; don't think I would probably feel comfortable in the parking lot after dark. Though maybe if it was dark, I would have missed to two drunk people fighting in the parking lot. There was a homeless, disheveled guy that walked in and made a beeline for the kitchen; the hostess stopped him before he got in. Our server was friendly and generally pretty good. The other servers were interesting to say the least. We were seated near the area where the servers congregate to get drink orders, etc. Don't think it added to the ambience that one of the servers in talking with a colleague said rather loudy, "You F*&^ with me I'm gonna F*&^ you up!" Probably won't be going back here.

Cleanliness 4 Service 4 Food 4 Likelihood 5 1-5 (5 Best!) 4.3 Thank you Tony and staff for giving us a great "home town" restaurant we can be proud of! Our server took very good care of us. Was attentive, and insured our beverages were filled and dirty dishes removed. THANK YOU! Food was VERY hot, fresh and tasty. Great job. Sausage biscuits and gravy and sausage in it!!! (the chain restaurant I ate at yesterday called it sausage gravy with NO sausage in it.) Restrooms are kept VERY clean. Yes, this is an old building, in an old part of town. It is clean, and full of great character, both the building and those who eat there: You will see families, couples, and individuals from all diversities. If you leave here hungry, it is your own fault. If you leave here un-satisfied, then you did not talk to the boss. This is our favorite Omaha breakfast location for consistent service, quality food in a clean restaurant. Keep it up!

This was my first time there. I called ahead and placed a to-go order so I could avoid the wait and eat back in my hotel room. Neighborhood is a little iffy, but OK during daylight hours it seemed (I was on foot and walked from the Doubletree 0.8 miles). There was no line out the door at 11AM on a Saturday, but there is a huge indoor waiting area that was full!! They serve coffee while you wait and I hear it doesn't take long to get a seat no matter the crowd, but I was glad I called ahead. My food was ready and I was out in 2 minutes. Philly omelette was AWESOME. And filling! Bacon on the side you order by the slice (crispy or regular - nice touch) was yum. All in all above average diner food.

One of the hole in the wall places in Omaha provides you with the best bang for your buck. Very crowded on weekends due to the big portions and fair price. Can't really go wrong with anything you get here. Everything is decent

My favorite breakfast spot in town. Seriously the best hashbrowns I've ever had. Omelets are cooked perfectly, I usually get the everything omelette. Always a wait, but they get you seated quickly.

  • Erin O.

Great diner feel. Typical greasy spoon. Always busy, Great portions. Good value. That says it all. I visited for the first time with coworkers recently. I ordered what was the most perfectly assembled Jr. Cheese Omelette; egg substitute, no extra charge. For $1 off I omitted hashbrowns (though ended up eating what remained of a coworker's order). So a small omelette with a pancake was $4.49; you can't beat it! 11-Worth Cafe, where have you been my whole life? Okay, so I lived away from Omaha for ten years, but I'm back and long overdue exploring is underway. I'll return to 11-Worth Cafe with my husband for the old school atmosphere and tasty food.

Just like I remember it but probably better since they have spruced the place up a little. Great fast service and great down home cooking. I love the sausage gravy and biscuits! For a gut buster order the Robert E. Lee which is two biscuits, 2 sausage patties and gravy with a huge portion of hash browns. For lighter fare get the Junior which is one biscuit and sausage patty.

This is one of my favorite breakfast places. My 6 year old son always ask to go here because he loves sharing the chicken fried steak with us ( more on that later) .. They can get fairly busy but don't be alarmed by that. If you go on a Sunday morning expect a wait , if you go on mothers/fathers day,, holiday it may even be a longer wait so you may want to avoid that if you get upset easily by that. The waiting room does have chairs and you can get yourself coffee or water while you wait. Give them your name and just sit back and relax. The building itself is defiantly older so don't expect all the thrills of a new place. It is what it is. I cannot tell you about most dishes but we always order the Chicken fried steak ( me brown gravy,, hubby white ) eggs over easy,, hashbrowns and Cinnamon toast. I have to tell you they have the best hashbrowns in town , they are crispy on the outside and fully cooked on the inside. They give you a big slab of it which is great ! The eggs are cooked to order and they do it right,, some places can really screw up the taste of an egg but they don't. The chicken fried steak is so good ! They give you such a big piece its on a plate of its own. I usually use the knife to cut it but you really don't have too. My 6 year old son is the ever picky eater and he loves it. He prefers the white gravy, You can order the white gravy and biscuit's to go which I think a lot of people do. If you sign up for their "VIP" program you will get coupons in the mail on your birthday and Anniversary which is nice. The only real negative experience I had was in a way funny, last time we were there I ordered the cinnamon toast and I kept tasting garlic,, could not figure out why,, well I finally figured out that whom ever was putting the cinnamon sugar on it must of grabbed the wrong container and put garlic on it,, couldn't eat it,, but didn't complain,, I was so full anyway and accidents happen. Kind of amusing in a way ,, really.. Will defiantly be back..!!!

Good breakfast for a good price. Wasn't a fan of the cheese slices on the omelet but other than that I would return for more.

This place was so good. If you go you have got to try the breakfast potato casserole. This thing is piled high with everything that's not good for you and that makes it so good. Cheese, onion, huge chunks of mushrooms, cheese and crispy Hashbrowns piled high and topped with country gravy. They are only open for breakfast and lunch but the place was packed. It really doesn't get much better than this. A must nothing less!

Been here a few times now and this place is definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots in town. The chicken fried steak here is one of the best I've ever had. The Mexican casserole is really good also. The service here is good as well and the prices are decent. If you come here make sure you're hungry because the portions are huge.

Not worthy the stop. I am sorry to say, but my experience wasn't the best at all. I guess this is my first bad review. And I had to do it. We got there at 11:25 am, we were seated past noon and our food was served 12:40. The waitress was not very attentive at all. It took a long time for her to come and take our order. I followed the reviews and ordered a Mexican casserole. And Joe ordered a KC casserole with sirloin tips. I guess we were very unlucky, Joe's food came with a hair on it. The waitress was very good about it, she took the food back and brought a new one within 5ish minutes. About the food: nothing special as I read on the reviews... Not worthy the waiting, and the stress. * Some facts that made my whole experience even worse: * they skipped my name on the list. Making me wait even more. * at least 2 tables that was seated after me had their food served before us. Overall, I just left the place very upset, regretting every minute I waisted there.

What a gem! We went on a Sunday at noon. The place was b-u-s-y. It was difficult to find a place to stand and wait, but the staff does the best to make it pleasant by offering water and coffee. Once seated the waitress was on it! Great service even though they were slammed. Food was delicious and the portions were generous. We enjoyed eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, pancakes, and bacon. We will be sure to return!

11-Worth Cafe is another one of those iconic Omaha restaurants that failed to ever visit until recently. That changed when we made a visit to UNMC early one morning and decided afterwards that it was time for bite to eat. It was around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and the wait was 20-30 minutes. The place can get very busy so be prepared to wait. The weather was nice so we sat on a bench outside and watched the eclectic group of passerby's. After being seated, I noticed just how large and bustling this place was. The waitress spotted us almost immediately and took our drink orders. In addition to soda, juice, coffee, and milk, I noticed that they also offered Bud Light. Not sure who would drink that but surely some people do. The menu is quite large but being set in my ways, I ordered a breakfast burrito. One of my standards (the other being an omelette of some sort). The burrito was HUGE. And HUGE is an understatement. The only drawback was that it looked as though it had been sitting a while. I'll give them a break since the place was packed and the burrito was still warm. I also received a thick side of hash browns. While I prefer them a little more crisp, they were at least done and not prematurely pulled off the stove. All-in-all, this was a pretty good breakfast. I'll stop short of saying it's the best I've ever had because it wasn't. Still, it was pretty darn tasty and a pretty good value. I'd recommend it if you're in the area. Would I drive from Millard or elsewhere in the city for breakfast? Probably not.

While the neighborhood and atmosphere can be a little sketchy at times, that has never kept this small town girl from coming in! The service is always wonderful and the servers are always very attentive to your needs. I have been in when they are completely full and still received outstanding service. I am absolutely obsessed with their chicken fried steak breakfast meal. So obsessed that I have never given anything else a chance. The chicken fried steak is seriously the size of a dinner plate and always lasts me two meals. It comes with your choice of egg, hash-browns, and your choice of toast. It is more than any one person could eat on their own. Parking can get tight, so if you are going for breakfast, be sure and go early.

This place is defiantly a must and is worth the short wait for brunch. The serving sizes are large and fairly priced. I had the Everything Omelette and it was very delicious. Highly recommend!

Food was excellent, but this place made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It's like getting thrown back 40 years which was weird because there were many ethnicities there.....everyone stared at my wife and I like we were exotic animals. maybe because were Asian??? Besides the weird atmosphere, the food was excellent.

Best breakfast place in Omaha hands down! Friendly owner. Busy place with lots of girls running the orders/food. I like sitting up front near the action and listening to all the mini-drama. Takes you back in time. Nice casual atmosphere. Super great food and reasonably priced. People walking out always have a big smile on. Go and enjoy!

We couldn't have found a better place in Omaha for a fantastic Sunday breakfast. 11 Worth is the epitome of a classic family friendly dinner with a great menu to serve all tastes, quantities and desires. The staff worked together like a well oiled machine and there was always someone with fresh coffee, water and drink refills. Our meal exceeded our expectations and the price was amazingly affordable. We will definitely return the next time we are in Omaha.

Quality food that is reasonably priced with huge portions. I definitely would recommend this to anyone around the area or anyone that is visiting. Only downside is it's always packed and very loud but that's because it's great food!!!!!!!!!!

Went here with restaurant.com gift card that I needed to get rid of. Let me say right off, I'm not a diner fan, so there was no way this was going to get a five star. That being said, the service was good. The staff was nice. It's in a kind of odd part of town; not sure I'd go here at night? The place is a diner, the crowd in there seems like a mix of loners, truckers, working class/poor families, and grungy folks. And the tables and chairs seemed old. Our table wasn't really dirty, but it had that dirty feel. I'm sure at some point, some drunk/hungover person had vomited at our table at some point. I didn't dare go to the bathroom, although two people from our party did. Let me say the portion sizes are crazy. Myself and another person had a junior omelette and they were HUGE. I can't imagine what a regular size looks like. The omelette was fine, although they got my toast order wrong. I had the mexican omelette and someone had the Philly omelette and seemed to like it. Another person had a "dinner salad", which seemed to be some iceberg lettuce covered in shredded cheese and also some chili (also covered in the same yellow cheese product) and chicken fried steak. They seemed to enjoy it. If you're into diners, you might like it. I just don't.

This place is just ok! It is below par diner food. However, for a breakfast place -other than the chains... IHOP and Village Inn.... this is really the only place that I would consider to go to. The food is not anything to jump for joy about. It is simply... ok. The service is pretty good. The place as a dirty feel to me... like I wouldn't be suprised if there were a entire family of mice in the back or in the kitchen.

Meandering strangely shaped restaurant and every table I've sat at (8 times) wobbles. Floor creaks as people walk around. It's right next to what appears to be a corner with 4 different people selling drugs. The food is good, and the people are interesting and entertaining, mostly in a dismal dead-end life Omaha sort of way. But, although few of the waitresses appear to have been on Television, they treat me nice and I enjoy going there, in spite of the other issues, or perhaps, in part, because of the other issues.

For as busy as this place gets the line moves quick and the wait is worth it. The price is right on. They you plenty of food. After eating you may need a nap. The omelets ate huge and full of ingredients. The chicken fried steak comes on a separate plate because it's so big. If you like biscuits and gravy. Try the Robert e lee. Great service the owners are very active in the business etch is great to see and keeps quality up.

Pro's -This place is amazing and I can't believe that I have lived in the Omaha area for as long as I have and had never been! Friendly staff, clean, huge portions and tasty food! Can't ask for better than that! Con's while it isn't in a trendy place still safe, it has been around for a bit so furnishings are not brand spanking new.

Yet another layover adventure! This place had some pretty cool reviews on yelp, so I thought I'd check it out. I walked from my hotel in Downtown Omaha to the restaurant, which was only .9 miles away. It was a little bit in the "ghettoish" part of town, but nothing too scary. You see this neat painting on the side of the building and people bursting out of the door, waiting for a table! I'm in! Sunday, post church crowd, all locals. Another great sign! After a short 20 min wait, my fellow flight attendant and I had a seat at a booth, in the middle of it all. I had the "junior" sausage biscuits and gravy, and she had the breakfast burrito. I had a healthy serving of hashed browns and a sausage patty on the side. COVERED in this awesome gravy! For $8? With coffee and great service? I'll be picking up Omaha layovers in the very near future.

Came here for Sunday bfast-wonderful 4 egg omelet w/ crispy buttery hashbrowns. Staff is great, it was such a nice change to see everyone helping eachother out instead of the ole' "I'll get your server" response. Well worth the money, great portions good food!

We had just flown in from California and wanted breakfast, but it was going on 2pm. We picked 11-Worth because they were still serving breakfast. It was a great find; large portions and great prices. The food was very good too. My husband ordered the Mexican Casserole, which I scoffed at; being from southern Cal I tend to be a harsh critic of Mexican food. He declared it was one of the best breakfasts he had ever had. I did taste it and it was very good. Not the Mexican food I'm used to, but none-the-less, it was a very tasty and hearty dish. He ate about 1/3 of it and was stuffed. It was huge. He and my mom fought over it for two days, that's how much was leftover and how good it was. My mom and I ordered eggs and bacon and were very happy. Eggs cooked exactly to order as well as the bacon, which I asked for extra crispy. My dad ordered two breakfasts, yes two full breakfasts, and was pleased. Eggs, sausage, and hash browns as well as an order of French Toast. We had many special requests and the waitress was very accommodating and friendly. The décor may be a bit lacking and the restaurant is not in the best part of town, but if you want a good breakfast at a good price this is the place to go. We will be back every time we fly into Omaha.

Fantastic breakfast food. I got the chicken fried steak which came with eggs toast and hashbrowns. The portion was very large for the price and the food, as a whole, was very good. I would rate their chicken fried steak slightly higher than Sapp bros and a little lower than Wheatfields. My friend got the standard big breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, toast, hashbrowns. I've also had the omelet before, which was very good. All in all, 11worth cafe is a great diner and has tasty food, big portions, and reasonable prices. Edit 3/21/15- 11 Worth Cafe is still excellent. I would say it's one of the best diners that I have had (in Omaha) and it's extremely tasty. Value wise, I can't think of many places that beat it.

There were over 30 people waiting for a table late Saturday morning but the wait was less than 15 minutes. They had lots of seating for the wait as well as water, regular coffee & decaf too. When we did get our table our waitress, Sarah, was friendly, helpful, and efficient. My husband had the corned beef hash w/eggs. Ordered the hash crispy & it was perfect. I had the breakfast casserole. I knew it would be too much food but went for it. I ordered the hash browns crispy & they were prepared perfectly. It was loaded with meat, cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms and came with a side of gravy. The only thing wrong with it was I ate too much of it because it was so darn good. On the wall was an article ranking it top 20 breakfast diners in US, so our expectations were high. It did not disappoint!

The food was good pretty good and the staff was VERY friendly and the food was pretty cheap. While my food was good, not anything spectacular or special, the person I went with got a taco salad and didn't really care for it. "Why?" is a question one might ask. "Whats wrong with the salad?" Well, their was a rubber band in it. It was kinda chewy. We let the waitress know, who (in the most hilariously way possible) "yo(studder)..you fucking with me?". She immediately put her hand over her mouth and apologized, but all of us including her were dying in laughter over the whole situation. She let management know, they of course came over and let us know that they are replacing it and not making us pay for either taco salads, and laughed with us a bit over it all too.

I can't believe I've found yet another 5 star diner close to where I live...the gods are definitely on my side lately...the area around 11-Worth is sketchy at best, dangerous at worst, but once inside, you'll hear angels sing...anyplace that has 99 cent coffee in a adult size mug is all right in my book...I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs...Now, I'm a fanatic about CFS, and when it's bad, I go into a black out rage...but this was truly some of the best I've ever had...the eggs were scrambled to perfection, the hash browns were awesome and the toast was soft and yummy...the CFS needed it's own plate and was soft and perfect...the country gravy used was the perfect taste you'd expect...and the cherry on this sundae of awesomeness was the VIP club...free to enroll and you get 15 percent off Mon through Thurs on your order...for a place with cheap prices that's a damn good deal...I can't wait to come back and try the other items because I have a feeling they'll be just as incredible...

Well I went here about two weeks ago. Then I died of a blood clot. Luckily, I'm still around in ghost form to write this review. No, this food is not healthy. Yes, it is amazing. Me and a friend decided to go on a bike ride all the way from west Omaha to downtown. Long ride, and we needed somewhere to chow down for lunch. 11Worth Cafe! Turns out that was a terrible choice for a meal that would sit well back on the bike. Such a great family atmosphere. Everyone there looks like they eat there at least four times a day. We looked slightly out of place in cycling jerseys and shorts, to be honest. Oh well. Friend ordered the roast beef, me, the chicken fried chicken. The Chili came first - absolutely excellent, stuffed full of beef and spices and tomatoes and excellence. Then the main dishes. The gravy here is the star of the show. Possibly the creamiest, most savory, most delicious gravy you will experience in a long time. It's basically liquid blood clot, but it is so amazing. The chicken fried chicken was perfectly fried. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside; when coupled with the gravy it was awesome. Same goes for the roast beef - the gravy just makes everything awesome. The roast beef was perfect. 40 miles on the bike that day, and we probably gained about 10 pounds at the end due to 11Worth. Oh well, 5/5 would recommend!

We stopped in spur of the moment late morning. No lines though we had to park across the street. My husband got eggs Benedict which he thought were very good but was a bit disappointed that the meat was plain ham rather than the traditional Canadian bacon. I got a BLT which was truly the best I've had except at home. It actually had a lot of crisp bacon, nice lettuce and tomato, just the right amount of mayo, and not overly toasted which can be a pet peeve of mine. We had an incredible server, in a class of her own (Katie). Yes, it's not in the BEST part of town but it's not dangerous at all. It's just not trendy. The guy next to us had a full breakfast with a pancake that filled the whole plate. I read some of the reviews which mentioned sketchy people. I think it just had a lot of diverse patrons which is A-OK with me. So. . . good, basic food; good enough to go back.

Not as good as I would have liked. I've had infinitely better at any number of greasy-spoons across this nation. Since I was on my way back to Denver, I ordered the the Denver Omelet; it turned out to be a fairly large omelet that was absolutely unlike any other Denver omelet on the planet. I think that I detected some green peppers and maybe onion, but I couldn't be sure since the entire omelet was smothered in multiple slices of cloying processed American cheese. Somehow this artificial luminescent cheese had bee heated to the same temperature as the surface of the sun, which rendered the omelet uneatable for several minutes after being delivered to my table. Once the cheese cooled, the omelet was unremarkable. The hash browns were great. That said, the atmosphere was pleasantly working-class and unpretentious. The service was neither friendly nor hostile, but just what you'd expect. Prices were fairly good to average.

Great service, but the food is just greasy and gross. I visited about two years ago and will not go back. It's always got a lot of people in there, so someone must like the food. Not I! Especially disappointed with the biscuits and gravy.

Tasty, greasy, dive-y breakfast food heaven. I very much enjoyed my first time at 11-Worth. I love the look and atmosphere of this place. It has neon lights lining the front, friendly staff and pretty good cafe food. I stopped in for some breakfast after taking my parent's to the airport bright and early on a Saturday. We found the place on yelp and saw the good reviews. Once again, you didn't let me down yelpers! I had a half a waffle, two eggs and bacon. The waffle was AWESOME. The half size was just the right amount (why don't more places offer a half option). It had a slightly crispy outside and a light, and fluffy inside. The flavor was wonderful. My eggs were prepared well and the bacon was tasty. My gentleman friend had corned beef and hash and was a tad bit disappointed in his meal choice. He said the corned beef seemed to be from a can and not heated very well. Overall, I am a fan and if I'm in the area again will definitely stop back in.

I have never gone to a place where you get more food for your money. And if you have a coupon, It is crazy. I love the food. The biscuits and gravy is heaven and so are the hash browns. This all being said, my doctor always told me, "if you really love the food, you probably shouldn't be eating it". I think my cholesterol went up 100 points after breakfast. It was very good, though. I love the Mexican casserole. I get two big meals out of it.

I went here today with my folks. I have to say that it was some of the best diner food I've had in a while. The 12 oz. steak and eggs were on special for $9.49 which is $1 less than usual. Luckily I was already going to order the steak and eggs. It was a thick 12 oz. sirloin. A litte tough but knowing it was sirloin I did not expect it to be fork tender. The pancakes were simply amazing. They were fluffy, tender and simply delicious! My eggs were perfectly cooked over easy and the hashbrowns were perectly G B & D (read: golden brown and declicious). We got some sausage gravy on the side which I happily spread of my delectable hashbrowns. Our server was quite attentive and very pleasant even though business was starting to pick up. I will definitely be going to back!

Eat here if you want good, diner food in a non-fussy atmosphere. Have to wait? No big deal. Help yourself to coffee. Hash browns, biscuits and gravy awesome! Will definitely make this a regular place. Definitely a family friendly , all are welcome kind of place. Yummy! And, if you want dessert, they serve Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.

I decided on this place after reading several reviews because my family was in town for Thanksgiving and we needed a place to go to breakfast. First of all, it was easy to find and there is a good sized parking lot located conveniently right across the street. Getting into the establishment was a bit comical as we couldn't find the door that did NOT say "emergency exit only" on it until an employee saw us through the window and directed us to the door all the way at the end (on the east end... remember that if you've never been and plan on going :D ). We were seated and greeted quickly by our waitress (who, by the way, was VERY friendly, attentive, and just all around a good darn server. She helped me find what I wanted (because the menu is HUGE) and never failed to bring something we needed. The food came in a timely manner and was VERY good... (they use real eggs - yum!). The portion sizes are really big. My parents couldn't finish their food; I ordered a smaller breakfast so I was alright. :) The prices are cheap, too - this place is definitely a value. The restrooms (and really, the restaurant as a whole) are clean and the entire staff / management was friendly. I don't really rate higher than a 4 for a diner, just because it's a diner... I save my 5's for restaurants with really interesting menu selections and perfect service / pricing. For a diner, this is the best it gets! I suggest them for a cheap, greasy, delicious meal! =) Will go back!

It's a diner. It's cheap and fast and there's good people watching. Since you can't really have higher expectations of a diner, I'd say it meets the need.If you go before 2pm on a weekend there will always be a wait, but it's never more than 15 minutes no matter how many people are in the waiting area.

If you are looking for just plain good food, friendly staff and an overall good meal, at an extremely affordable price - 11 Worth Cafe is the place to go. The portions are huge, the service quick and accurate and there is no reason to go away hungry from this place. Their Breakfast Menu RULES - where else can you go get an omlet made with 4 eggs (and they must use "xlarge" eggs) with tons of stuff inside, hash browns to die for...crisp and butter, your choice of toast, muffing etc and spend less that $10.00? Lunch and Dinner Menus are equally as generous. Chicken fried steak to die for. They have REAL mashed potatoes and if you happen to like bean soup - it's one of the side choices with your meal. Don't let anyone tell you it's a bad neighborhood because it'st just fine! JUST GO THERE!

So lets say you want a fast food joint with really good food! This place is it-even for just take out! I got a burger, with Fried egg on top for dinner before heading out to volunteer. It was 1/2 lb, served with plenty of hot crinkle fries, and was juicy, flavorful, and a exceptional value! The staff was polite, and fast also. Almost a 10/10 on the burger scale. Would have wished for just a hint of garlic making it a 9/10

A Good old American diner with good service. There aren't too many diners in the area and this one doesn't disappoint, especially when they throw in a little Mexican flair like the breakfast burritos. Great for all your diner needs. Hangover, lazy, only a ten dollar bill in your pocket, want somewhere to chill and drink coffee for a while. A+ 4 stars only because the coffee is pretty weak.

Love this place for breakfast. Got a good deal on restaurant.com for the cafe. Brought the entire family here, they loved the food. The portions are HUGE. Bought another restaurant.com coupon and brought all 5 sisters here for breakfast. The servers were both friendly and attentive. I've not gotten service this good at a lot of 'nice' restaurants. They know what they are doing. Old restuarant, parking directly across the street. Leavenworth runs one way, so you have to drive PAST it headed West before you go back a couple blocks. It's worth a stop, but it is diner food. Go in expecting that and you will be very pleased.

I absolutely love this place. My wife and I go here for breakfast every Sunday morning and it has yet to disappoint . We tried to order a variety of things when we first started going, and never had anything that was 'bad', some things just weren't as good as others. I recommend the steak and eggs (cheap on weekends!) or the biscuits and gravy. Apparently the biscuits and gravy are 'famous', or at least that's what their menu says. My least favorite is probably the quesadilla, but that could be because chicken+eggs seems like a weird combination to me. The food is by no means 'healthy', and I would never send anyone on a low carb diet there. If the gravy is indeed famous, it's because a serving has a whole days worth of butter in it; but that's just something you have to be able to deal with if you want delicious. For a certain and instant death I would highly recommend slathering some of the gravy on top of the hashbrowns, it is totally worth it. I'm told that some people have issues with the location/clientele because it's in 'a bad part of town'. Those people are losers. You should be aware that there will, in fact, be people of all races and income levels that eat here; so if that makes you uncomfortable, then pfft on you. Finally, the cost is very reasonable. We used to go to Village Inn but this place is 10,000 times better, and costs way less on a typical week that VI ever did; I usually refer to this phenomenon as 'value'. Overall, I would say that if there was some sort of 'best greasy spoon in America' contest, the 11-worth would win hands down. I'm actually angry at Guy Fiere for bringing 'Diners, Drive ins, and Dives' to Omaha and passing over this place. I mean, Brewburgers? Screw you Guy, screw you.

Good Job 11-Worth Cafe

Two of my friends stop here for Sunday breakfast every week, and I convinced them to go a day early so I could tag along. I hadn't been here before, but I have to say it was pretty tasty! I ended up with the breakfast quesadilla (it's a chicken quesadilla, but with eggs... thus it's for breakfast!), and it was good, although I should have known that including onions would mean HUGE chunks of onions. Not my favorite, but I could have easily told them to hold the onions, so my bad. I was in a party of 7 (plus 2 infants) - everybody liked what they ate, including the two people who got their famous sausage gravy. I tried a bit of it, and I think it's famous because of the multiple sticks of butter included in each batch!! This is why diner food rocks.

I still have dreams about the 11-Worth. It's the type of diner that you imagine being next to every Greyhound bus station in Middle America. As a matter of fact, the Omaha Greyhound station is only a couple of blocks away (as is the city jail). The 11-Worth is the type of place that comes to mind when you hear "Downtown Omaha," and that can only be a good thing. This is where you come to get your corned beef hash fried up for you by a hairnet-wearing ex-convict with a mullet who lives in the flophouse on the corner, and served to you by a gum-cracking waitress with four screaming kids at home, wearing one of those 'coin-dispenser' change-things on her apron. You can then sit back and watch the parade of shady individuals come in to get their grub on. My favorite were the "O.G." cane-toting old timers with gold-framed eyeglasses talking that midwestern "pimp shee-it" to the waitresses as they brought them their eggs. They even have a ski-ball machine in the front where you can win enough tickets to get yourself a real 11-Worth t-shirt. I spent many a bleary-eyed, hungover Sunday morning here listening to that blustery Nebraska winter wind blow by outside as I ate my heart attack special. By the time I left, it seemed that the place was slowly being discovered by Omaha's version of yuppie-hipster kid (they've probably all relocated to Brooklyn by now). Regardless, this place is a treasure.

Went here for breakfast recently on a Sunday. It was very busy, the waiting room was full. We were seated in about 15-20 minutes. The service was good, the food was okay and the atmosphere is sort of like Village Inn. Everyone talks about the huge portions, but I actually was still hungry after 1 piece of French Toast with Strawberries, 1 over-easy egg, 1 piece of wheat toast, and 2 pieces of bacon. There's way too much to choose from on the menu.

When you walk into this place, you'll see all types. On a recent Sunday morning, we saw a little after church crowd, a little after work crowd, some current hangover crowd, and even some still drunk people. Nice variety. The food is pretty good, the portions are gigantic, although it can occasionally be heavy on the grease. I've had quite a few breakfast items and a few burgers. All have been decent. One strange thing though, for some reason the ketchup always tastes rancid there. Don't ask me why, maybe they're trying to save a few pennies by brewing up their own. So if you can do hashbrowns without ketchup, then you're in good shape.

This place probably has the best hashbrowns I've ever had in my whole life. It's a good place to come for a quick breakfast (that is not good for you), but keep in mind the clientele are sort of a mixed bag. I like that the owners are always there, and the service is quick and friendly, and that the menu is very reasonably priced. I've not had a bad plate yet, and the coffee is really great, too.

Maybe you slept in, maybe you're cheap, maybe you're hungover, or maybe you're just not a food snob. You just want a simple American breakfast for a reasonable price and then you want to go about your business.

Servers are always attentive food is always tasty. We typically go on Sundays and sometimes there is a wait but they provide coffee and its usually only 15 minutes never been longer. I've never eaten anything but breakfast there as it seems sacrilegious. They are currently making improvements. You need to take the place for what it is a greasy spoon, and an awesome one at that. Love the jr rob roy eat it now.

    (5)

One of the hole in the wall places in Omaha provides you with the best bang for your buck. Very crowded on weekends due to the big portions and fair price. Can't really go wrong with anything you get here. Everything is decent

Great place! Classic Omaha- great staff! Food is great and a good deal. Always busy but wait for a table moves fast.

Greasy food that is hard to stomach. The wait staff was very kind. The prices were good. The pancakes and french toast were sub par. IHOP would be a much better choice.

  • J L.

    (5)
  • Jeff C.

  • Matt M.

  • Tracy H.

  • Alyssa M.

First time we as a family went to this Cafe and we all ordered a different breakfast meal..We were all very impressed with the food and service. The Hungry Man plate was great!!!The atmosphere was pleasant and the place was busy but they keep it moving..Large portions for the money....Strongly recommend you give it a try!!!!
