Run away! Run away quickly! For your own sake! Do not eat here! How does a place like this exist? If anyone has seen restaurant impossible, this place is the worst of the worst. First things first, they have pizza. Not fresh pizza, but pizza. It was cold, sitting on the hot heater thingy. At best I'd call it "room temperature". Food is supposed to be hot at a buffet if it's hot food. And cold if it's cold food! Supposedly they change it fast based on other reviews, but what the hell? This is like the dirtiest looking country bumpkin shack I have ever seen. I don't mean that as an insult to country folk, but I mean that as an insult to any concept of following any concept of food safety. I don't think they even pay attention to the food they are making - they have labels, but the food does not match. They have cheese pizza labeled (important for you know, vegetarians), but put other pizzas there. Do they have any idea what would happen if someone was allergic to pepperoni which they put there instead? How are you going to tell the difference if all you can see on top is a layer of cheese? Sure I can eat meat, it doesn't bother me, but I could see people not being happy with the result here. If you're not going to make another of (pizza labeled on the buffet), leave it empty. At least you know what's there. Also, we went at like 630, and there were a grand total of 3 groups there. Not exactly a vote of confidence for a decent sized town, is it? Nobody should eat here, and the health inspectors would shut this place down in 5 seconds if they saw the stuff I saw when I unfortunately happened to eat here. Are you supposed to put out 2-3 day old labeled bulk food? Doesn't exactly sound like quality to me. At least it wasn't bulk mayonnaise or I would have walked out the door. I took a pepto just to make sure that I didn't get food poisoning. I feel really sorry for the cute married girl who is the cashier, because I don't know if there are other jobs available in a region like this. Yes they have lasagna, pizza, salad, etc. No it doesn't look anything like the picture. If the picture is way too good to be true, that should give you an idea of what this place is like on the inside. If you value your stomach, do not ever eat here. Starve if you must. Are other valentino's this bad? I have no idea. This is the only one I've ever been to. So maybe it's an exception?

We were traveling I-80 eastbound after a stay in the southwest, we'd had magnificent Mexican food during our time there and had a hanker'in for pasta. The navi came up with Valentino's. We called for directions and to be sure they were indeed an Italian place. They said they are a pizza buffet plus pasta on the menu. They're right by the interstate, we dropped by at about 7:30 pm & were seated by a sweet hostess. Indeed they had a pizza buffet, with pasta, lasagna, multiple sauce choices, plus salad & dessert bar all for $9.25. That's what we chose, my wife loved the marinara sauce she had pasta, I chose the hearty meat sauce with rotini, we both had salads (ice berg lettuce). They have a unique cherry dessert pizza for cherry lovers, I had two pieces. For sure, it ain't Lidia's Italy, but it's good food served by nice people (the manager or owner stopped by to see how things were) in a clean place.

Pizza joint a couple minutes off the 80 at the Ogalalla exit. Food was decent, especially for the 80 route - Tina, our server, was very courteous and welcoming. Wait till they bring out a fresh pizza. Avoid the frozen yogurt.

Valentino's restaurants in general tend to be good only for desperate travelers who need a quick place for a full buffet meal. In this case we should have gone somewhere else - anywhere else. Food quality is low in general and most of it has been sitting too long. "Quantity over quality" should be the motto.

My boyfriend, his family, and I were traveling across the country and decided to stay in Ogallala for the night. We were quite hungry and after I did a quick yelp search, we decided to eat here. It was exactly what we needed after a long drive. We ordered vegetable and hawaiian pizzas. They were delicious. The owner came to greet us and the service was excellent. This place is definitely a gem in the middle of this tiny little town.

Valentino's was recommended by someone at the RV park where we were staying as we traveled along I-80. I hate to say anything bad about it because it's obviously a very popular eatery for local families (lots of kids in tow) but I found it all very mediocre and priced rather high. We ate the pizza buffet and while many of the pizzas were cooled off, the pizzas I DID try were good with a crust that reminded me of Bisquick and pie crust combined. Not bad, just different tasting. The staff was very friendly and there was certainly a big selection of veggies and salads and different pizzas. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for pizza. My friend, however, enjoyed her meal and thought everything was tasty. I think I would try to find another place if I were visiting this area again.

First thing to remember, this is not a giant buffet like Valentino's has in Lincoln or Omaha. This is a small scale buffet more like Pizza Hut or Godfathers. The waitresses were nice, the food was decent. The salad bar in particular was good I thought. I have spent several days around the I-80/Ogalla exit and this is certainly as good as any other choice around. The restaurant adjacent to the Best Western is very good but expensive (see separate review).

I have only eaten the take-out, but have been seriously disappointed. I am from Lincoln, so am very familiar with "Val's", and generally like most of their menu items. While on a business trip, I ordered a take-out pizza and when I picked it up, I got a soda out of their cooler. When I got back to my hotel, the pizza was WAY undercooked, and the soda was flat. Fortunately, I had a microwave in my room, so could finish cooking the pizza, but it was bad. When I checked the soda, I saw it was expired by 2 months. Since I am a fan of the "Val's" brand, I tried it again the last time I was in town. I got lasagne, which was good, salad, which had rotten tomatoes, and some horrible ranch dressing (bottled maybe, but certainly not the usual Val's Ranch dressing which is GREAT!!!) I also got a garlic roll, which was so dried out, it looked & tasted like it had been sitting on the buffet all day. Finally, I also ordered the cherry pizza, expecting it to look like the picture on this website, but alas, that too was a miserable disappointment. The crust was covered in struesel, and there were about 10 "dollops" of cherry pie filling plopped on top, making it look like a pepperoni pizza. I threw out the salad, threw out the garlic roll, and threw out the dessert. If Valentino's wants to protect their brand, they need to make a QA trip to Ogallala... Fast!!! I give it two stars because the lasagne was good.

I eat at this Valentino's on a semi-regular basis. I always have really good experiences there. The food is always fresh, the facilities (including the bathrooms!) are really clean, and the staff is friendly. I really like the rotini pasta with their mushroom marinara, and I really love their vegetarian pizza (green and black olives). The buffet is usually your best bet to get in and out quickly. It's reasonably priced, and includes a salad bar, all you can eat pizza/pasta/lasagna/pasta primavera, plus a dessert pizza and hot apple crisp plus a soft-serve ice-cream machine. What more could you want?!

Building looks a bit old outside, but clean and comfortable inside. Buffet was fresh, though food is a bit bland for my tastes. Friendly service. Good variety, the kids really liked it.

We stopped here on the way to Denver yesterday - we ordered a pizza and found it to be really really good with a thin crust that had great flavor - piled with toppings - excellent pizza. The salad bar had only iceberg lettuce, not any leaf lettuces. I overheard a table by us saying how great the spaghetti is. They do not have subs which I think would be a great idea with their great sauce (which has fennel) and toppings. Good service.

We ordered food to be delivered to a local hotel. My DH ordered Spaghetti with Meat sauce and extra meatballs. The sauce was skimpy - barely enough to cover the spaghetti noodles. The meat balls were large, but nothing spectacular. I ordered Pasta Primavera - This was terrible! THe vegetables were crunchy near raw - and the Sauce was extremely bland. I barely ate any of it. We also ordered what they said was the speciality of the house - Garlic Rolls - OMG, If this is the specialty...turn and run. It was nothing but thinly sliced garlic bread - Toasted almost burnt and then covered in what looked like Melted Cheddar Cheese. Not appetizing!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
