This place was pretty good. They have a prime rib appetizer, that they call fondue, served with three different sauces. They have combonation platters that are steak and chicken, or steak and chicken alfredo, etc. I just wish that they would carry Nebraska wines. When I travel to an area, the local restaurant should try to support local wineries. Service was good, prices were reasonable.

Prenger's is a very nice restaurant at the end of Norfolk's business district. I highly recommend the food, and the atmosphere and service is top notch. The prices are a little high for the area. The main drawback is that they don't have any beers on draft, and their bottle selection is limited. In fact, when I asked the server what craft beers they had, she had no idea what a craft beer was. Not a good sign.

Kind of deserted at 7 pm, even though Norfolk is a bustling and prosperous town. This made me a little nervous, but Prenger's is a good restaurant. I should probably have had the ribeye steak, but after several days of traveling through steak country I was a little tired of that, so I went for the walleye pike, figuring that's at least a local freshwater fish. It wasn't really fresh. It probably came from the Great Lakes several days earlier. But it was exceedingly properly broiled, and very nicely seasoned, so I count this a satisfactory meal. Only problem was that the check comes with a tray, which usually means you pay the waitress. However, she disappeared, and only after prowling around for an inquiry did I learn one's supposed to pay at the register up front.

Sunday brunch buffet is a rip off. $11 bucks should buy better than fake mashed potatoes and frozen vegetables. The chicken was greasy and had no flavor. I don't mind greasy food, but it should taste like something. The waffles (frozen) looked stale. The vegetable soup was the only thing on the buffet that was appetizing. I won't be going back.

Very disappointed. I got the Reuben sandwich. I consider myself a connoisseur of Reubens so I've had a lot of them. This had to be the worst restaurant Reuben I've ever had. The meat was like low quality lunch meat. So disappointed in the quality that it makes me question the care they put into their other dishes. If you get a soda though they will give you as very big glass. Not sure what to make of the atmosphere. It's not bad.

Someone tell Arby's this is how you make a Beef n Cheddar! Real meat, thinly sliced and no gristle. Order with some au jus and it just melts in your mouth Prenger's is a Norfolk legend! My Dad knew the founder Eddie Prenger. It's under new ownership. The food is still great.
