Well I'm gonna have to give this place a no go unfortunately. Three times ordering and three times sick can't be a coincidence. I've only ordered delivery so I can't say much about the atmosphere of any of the locations. I can say that the delivery is pretty fast and the food has always come as I've ordered it. The pizza is pretty good, it's not my favorite gluten free pizza I've had but it's not bad by any means. A bit saucy for my taste. My issue is a few hours later I've had stomach cramping all three times I've had it. Last weekend it was the only thing I'd eaten the whole day, so I could finally be sure it was the culprit. It's too bad really cause I appreciate the fast service and though their gluten free pizza isn't cheap, none are, it's one of the cheaper ones in the area- 15.00 for a 10". Sadly I can't recommend this place for anyone sensitive to gluten contamination as I have my concerns. If you are just eating a gf diet but don't have a formal allergy you'll probably be fine.

They cannot accommodate any parties larger than 4. It's pretty ridiculous, we were 6 people and that was too large a size and were informed we'd have to be split up. It's really a shame for the employees bc people are and will be frustrated if they decide to stay (which we didn't). Management should really consider their clients and the $$ they miss out by frustrated customers. The group after us (party of 5) also opted to leave because of seating.

Very disappointed that this location would not honor the $2 coupon from my phone. It's the 21st century and there are plenty of other restaurants where one can eat. A little flexibility is a good quality for a business to have.

We thought we'd check out the new location, and because the other locations have a buffet, we were sorely disappointed to find out that this location did not. The food was what you would expect, the same Valentino's pizza we all grew up with. The manager heard our disappointment from our waitress (we were the only table seated, the other family after us left after learning about the buffet) so the manager sent out 2 of their new appetizers. We sampled the bruchetta and bruchetta with artichoke dip, both tasty - similar to apps you'd get at a Macaroni Grill. So in summary: no buffet, regular pizza, and average apps.

Stopped by the new updated Valentino's for lunch on 6/13. From the time we entered till we left, our group was impressed. Waitress was awesome. Menu was great, with reasonable prices. Food was as good as ever. Salad bar rocks, and is a great deal with everything offered. We even asked for our desert breadsticks to come at the end of our meal, and sure enough piping hot fresh desert breadsticks arrived just as we asked. Great experience, will be sure to come back many times.

I stopped at Valentino's for lunch and ordered a slice of their double pepperoni and their salad bar. The salad bar's produce was very fresh with a good variety. The slice of pepperoni was fresh hot and very tasty. The service was prompt but not overwhelming. All in all a very good experience.

Stopped by the original Valentino's with some Valentino veterans -- they recommended the beer cheese sauce, cheeseburger pizza (ground beef + mustard + onions + pickles), dessert pizza, jello salad, and the Italian wedding soup. As a Seattleite, the thing that amused me the most was the fact that Valentino's has Chex Mix and Potato Stix part of the salad bar. Yes, part of the salad bar! This mid-west tradition needs to start making its way over here as potato chips on a salad is the best thing ever! Valentino's is solid buffet food -- I mean, what is there not to like about a restaurant that serves carbs for appetizer, entree, and dessert?

I agree with Abby. The lasagna has tiny burger balls so I knew it wasn't "real". Cheap for college students.

Ah the original Valentino's... started using hungry college students as its customer base. And over 50 years later not much has changed. That's not to say this place isn't family friendly, because it is. The main appeal is the buffet; I'm not sure why they still bother handing out menus. The place seems to run on a "quantity vs. quality" basis. The pizza may not be that good, but if you eat enough of it you can at least leave full. And let's not dice words here: The pizza is not that good, certainly not "amazing" as some have proclaimed. You could do worse in town, but you could do a lot better too. But their desserts... those are good. More specifically their cinnamon sticks. I have a dirty, unhealthy obsession with their cinnamon sticks. It's the equivalent to meeting a girl, going raving, doing unknown substances, and waking up the next morning in a hotel room in Reno in a pink bunny suit... not sure how you got there. Not that that's ever happened to me, of course. Some may not think they're THAT good; I like to call those people "wrong". And if they're okay with being wrong, I am too. As it's been mentioned before, they play on the whole Italian theme. Complete with the fake grape vines, checkered tablecloths, and the "red, white and green" motif. It does pull this off pretty well though. The price is reasonable for a buffet; I think my total was just a hair over $11. I don't think that terrible considering you leave full. Bottom line: If you're looking for a reasonably priced buffet with mediocre pizza, this is your place. I would recommend going to the Grand Buffet on 70th though; it has three times the selection.

Fresh pizza and great dessert. I'm not with spence^^^ on saying it's better then sex, because not much is better then that. IMO. Good place though, try to stop in.

This is Valentino's original location in Lincoln, close to East campus. The atmosphere is casual, though more like a neighborhood pizza joint than the superbuffet locations. If you get the buffet, there are pizza, pasta, salads, a small dessert bar, and a small selection of deep-fried kid friendly foods, in addition to a very small Mexican bar. It's hard to turn down, though the pizza on the menu's a little better. Hit the East Campus dairy store less than two blocks away and across the street for really good ice cream afterwards!

I dream about returning to Lincoln to eat here. Everytime I come back home I have to eat Vals for lunch and dinner... EVERY DAY! Mmmmm!!

This place is what would materialize if DiGiorno ever made a buffet. Food: I actually say this as a complement as I really like those frozen pies. Valentino's serves up an array of delicious pizzas in addition to a very delicious creamy tomato soup, salads, and pastas ( yelp.com/biz_photos/Y2v7… ). They have some pretty daring toppings on the pizza like jalapenos ( yelp.com/biz_photos/Y2v7… ) and bacon. Is the pizza, as Spence R. purports, better than sex? Probably not, but if you like high quality frozen pizzas, you'll have some idea of how these puppies taste. I have to give them massive props, however, for their dessert pizza ( yelp.com/biz_photos/Y2v7… ). It was somewhere in between a coffee cake and a pie. Confusing to categorize, but undeniably delicious. Atmosphere: Valentino's is situated across from the UNL East Campus. The tables and buffet are extremely clean. It was weird for me to eat here, because the decor was a stereotypical Italian with checked table clothes and green as a dominant color, but it actually looked really nice. Most of the places in LA going for that look end up giving off a trashy vibe. Service: Being a buffet, it's pretty much self-service. Pay at the counter. Synopsis: Love that dessert pizza and the concept of a pizza buffet in general.

The pizza here is NOT amazing, stop it, all of you. Valentino's pizza is a thin scree of red sauce over chewy, oily dough, covered in even oilier cheese. The sauce is cloyingly sweet and the cheese is noticeably salty. At about T-plus-20 minutes after delivery, the pizza has congealed into a sort of nightmare pizza-brownie lump. If you can imagine vomit in brownie form, complete with unidentifiable lumps ("did I eat diced carrots??"), that's Valentino's 20-minute old pizza. Fucking don't eat it, unless it's free and delivered without your knowledge, and you're a poor college student, and you're drunk and you're just going to puke it up anyway. In that case you are sparing your body the ordeal of processing it from food into puke. It'll just slide in and out unchanged, like Tim Robbins crawling through a river of shit in the Shawshank Redemption. But nevermind that. Yia Yia's is better, and it sucks too. So, in conclusion, go to Super Taco.

So yummy! On our way home to Iowa & stopped in Lincoln for the night. Price is a little too high but it's very good & friendly service. Recommend!

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why anyone would eat here. It's basically a fast food buffet in a sit down restaurant. It's all from the freezer or a can. I don't understand why everyone is raving about the pizza either. I have had better frozen pizza from Walmart. The sauce they use has an overwhelming taste of sugar and it's the same sauce they give you for the pasta in the buffet. But people continue to flock here because they can stuff their fat face full of preservatives and sugar for $6. The only positives I can say about this place are the salad is awesome and the service is quick (they don't have to do much). The lettuce is fresh and there are lots of choices of salad toppings and dressings. It's the only food I will touch at this joint.

Best pizza ever! Better than sex. Seriously. I don't think it's possible to experience a better pizza.

Seriously the pizza here is amazing. In town for a game and went to this location after the game. We waited maybe 20 minutes and had 2 buffets and a pitcher of beer for less than $30. All the pizza was good, all the salads were good, all the pasta was good. Loved it. Not much choice of beers on tap, but the service was great and everyone was wonderful. We are really glad Valentino's is not near our hometown....

My lady and I went to this Valentino's a little late for lunch. They usually have a great lunch special--pizza by the slice, premade, but all they had today was vegetarian pizza. We looked a little disappointed, but said okay. We are hungry! The guy behind the counter really surprised us-- he gave us the rest of the pizza and said it's on the house. I have been here before for the buffet, which is very good, but this customer service is amazing.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
