Ok, I no longer live in Lincoln, but every time I go back for a visit I find myself at Lazlo's at least once. I enjoy this location, which is closer to my parents house, but nothing can top the original restaurant in the Haymarket. My favorite is the Heartland Salad, and unlike Ash I like the fact that they pile on the cheese. Mmm, cheese. Their sandwiches, burgers and main entrees are great too, I've tried a lot. The one thing I like most here is the french fries. I haven't been able to find fries like Lazlo's anywhere in MD (yet), so perfectly crinkle-cut and seasoned, a party for my mouth. I also fancy beer a bit and I can always find something that satisfies that craving here. The service has always been wonderful, all the times I can recall, anyway. I don't think it's taken longer than a few minutes for my drink to be refilled, etc. The food and drink prices are reasonable, about the same as any big-chain restaurant with the crap all over the walls, and the atmosphere is great....Lazlo's does NOT have crap all over the walls, thank goodness. It may not be a total 5-star restaurant, but if you like beer and fries and perhaps a cheesy salad, you should at least make one visit to Lazlo's.

I wish there was a Lazlos or anything even closely resembling Lazlos in my town. :-(

Filet was wonderful; good local beer. A little noisy, but a fun atmosphere. Service was exceptional.

If there is one restaurant in Lincoln that I miss (and there are very few) then Lazlo's definitely makes my list! I grew up eating here and I still love it...it is a MUST when I go back for a visit. Good beer, good food and a nice atmosphere. I usually go to this location but my favorite is actually the original Haymarket location. The appetizers at Lazlo's are great. My top two picks are the lavosh (you choose the toppings) and the spinach and artichoke dip. My favorite salad is the chicken cobb salad w/their homemade creamy garlic dressing-it rocks and I order this pretty much EVERYTIME I go! However, I recommend asking for light cheese since they serve it with like a pound of cheddar and jack on top. Their other salads, sandwiches (great french dip), burgers and entrees are all equally tasty. I haven't really been disappointed with Lazlo's EVER but that might have something to do with the fact that I only get to eat here about twice a year when I visit my family.....either way I think it's delicious and certainly worth trying if you haven't done so yet!

This is the only Lazio's I have been in. It was a pleasant place, clean with a modern feel. The food was pretty good and the servers were young and friendly. The parking is good because this is in a suburban mall.

Excellent service and very good food. A bit on the loud side, but I am definitely a fan of this restaurant! Came here after we walked out of Wilderness Ridge because of the worst service ever (but that's another review!)

Great beer - great price. Great food - a bit over priced. Kid-friendly menu. Be prepared for a super long wait on a Friday or Saturday night (over an hour!), with no waiting area other than the bar (where customers waiting for a table will hover like vultures waiting for a seat for the chance at one there instead of the dining room).

Stopped here for a steak on trip. Had a great Omaha steak and some good beer. Good selection of liquor and beer. Food was good as well. Really enjoyed it.

Great local beers, great food for the price and an awesome patio to hangout on. If i ever visit lincoln again, i will be sure to stop back at lazlo's.

This used to be a great place to come for a delicious meal at a decent price. Now, the food is still good, but the prices are kind of crazy. I feel like you pay too much for what you get. A meal that used to cost around $9 will now cost you at least $15, and the portions have not increased to explain this mark-up, nor has the quality of the food. What bumps up my rating from three stars to four, though, is the awesome service. Because they have an "everyone is responsible for every guest" mentality, all of the servers make sure that you are never left with an empty drink cup or dirty plates sitting in front of you. Food is good, service is great... but be prepared to pay for it.

At Lazlo's on the kids menu, I had the hickory grilled shrimp, and it tasted delicious! I also got beer cheese soup, but to me, it tasted slightly BAD. On the kids menu if you order something, you get ice cream with it. The ice cream was good but the dipped chocolate on top was a little dry. They have good service and the the restaurant is medium size. we sat on the patio, which had a great view of the train station. my brother and I got root beer, and my brother got lemonade also, and our waiter asked us if we wanted refills, and I said yes, but I never got a refill.

Awesome place. Great food, locally made beer. Fair prices. Where they really stand out is their service. I've been here a dozen times, and not once have I had a bad waiter/waitress or experience. It says on their menu they go out of their way for the best experience, and for once at a restaurant, these people can actually say it and mean it.

Man, sometimes it's really hard to decide if I want to give a place 3 or 4 stars. When it comes down to the nitty gritty, though, this place was solidly good, but not great. I came here while on a business trip, and I ordered a beer, a 12 oz. top sirloin with mashed potatoes and a salad. The salad was surprisingly fresh and diverse for a bar and grill, the mashed potatoes were tasty, and the steak was cooked exactly to my order and really good. I think the reason that I ended up deciding on 3 stars instead of 4 was that I had really high expectations for my first Nebraska (Omaha) steak, and this didn't really blow me away. Yes it was very tasty, but it wasn't any better than the really good steaks I can get in Denver. That makes it 3 stars in my book. The waiter started out on a bad note (mostly due to the fact that he took a while to wander around to my table), but by the end he had more than made up for it. All in all, it was a good experience.

Great beer, great food. Service was nice. Though sitting outside was a bit weird. They didn't have the heat lamps on outside and they still haven't put up a privacy fence to separate the parking lot and sitting area. No one wants to be blinded by other people's car headlights while sitting down at your table. I've told them a couple of times a couple years ago, but nothing has changed. Maybe move the small seating area to a different side of the building.

Sadly, what was once a mainstay Lincoln institution has now been flown into the ground. The service and food quality at both Lincoln locations has been diminishing over the last few years, and has now reached the point where our family simply refuses to go there anymore. Even halfway decent fast food like Culvers is far better quality and value. And there's no way that this place can touch great food like Honest Abe's, Leadbelly, Gate 25 or the Green Gateau. On several occasions we've experienced crusty/dry sandwich and burger buns, hard/overcooked burgers, rainbow chicken (once one of our favorite dishes) that is now consistently burned to a crisp, and the worst wait staff experience of almost any restaurant I've ever been to. Go to Lazlo's on any given night and it's now the norm to overhear a manager apologizing for food or service and taking something off the bill! I even wrote the owner an e-mail after our last (ever!) meal there and was offered a substantial gift card, but I refused. It's sad but true to say that "free" is not even worth the disappointment of dining here nowadays. What happened to the great old Lazlo's of its early days in the Haymarket?? Or the nice old man who brought you Lavosh samples while you waited for your table? Or the outstanding food and service? Whoever owns this chain should hang his head in shame to call himself a restaurateur. The only thing they continue to do right is the beer, and perhaps it's time to just focus on being a brewery and let the restaurant chain fold up since the owner apparently doesn't care about good food anymore.

Serious lack of communication at the host station got us off to a bad start. Server was great, though, and the food was okay.

Bar tender at the bar must be concerned with saving beer. Every beer I ordered came short of the glass it was served in. ie. 16 oz was a 14 oz. Less head and more beer or it will reflect in your tip and your servers. Oh wait, it did tonight. p.s. have a better attitude about life. Your job is to get us drunk and happy. Not look like you have a piece of coal up your ass.

I am giving this place a 4 star rating based mainly on there own local brews and amazing lavosh. The lavosh is more than enough reason to go to Lazlo's. The onion rings are absolutely delicious, huge and breaded perfectly (try it w/ the honey mustard sauce). The meals are averaged priced and in portion size. All the food is good and in high quality. Larger portions for the price might have yielded a 5 star rating. Make sure to ask for the beer bread with your meal. They also have a decent happy hour if you're looking for a place to grab an appetizer and drink after work. Once again, if you're in Lincoln, don't leave without trying one the of Lavosh's, you won't be disappointed, I guarentee it!

I have written a review for Lazlo's before pertaining to the Haymarket location. This location is closer to home but there were some issues with it which were always a deterrent (i.e. over-cooked chicken on my favorite sandwich and the bad attitude of the bartender, where we like to sit/eat). After a more recent visit we have been back 3-times in the last 5-weeks. What's changed? For one, the bartender we didn't like doesn't work there anymore :) But, more importantly, they now serve an actual veggie burger! My wife is vegetarian and had two sandwich options to choose from; veggie burger or portobello burger. But it's a veggie burger they made themselves (at leas I assume) with actual vegetables in it!! My wife was a fan, just as much in the burger itself as in the fact that they care about this menu selection enough to re-invent it, bravo! As an aside, 1 out of the 3 times she has had it there were parts of it that were still cold/frozen. :-/ The other saving grace, as far as we were concerned, is that they replaced the ESB with an IPA (personal preference). These two changes have made all the difference.

Pros - Great south Lincoln location Contemporary atmosphere w/ wood floors, fireplace, and private bar area Outdoor seating is a nice change of pace if the weather is good Spinach & artichoke dip, french dip, and microbrews are top notch Cons - Wait for a table is excessive at times, but service remains prompt & friendly Confusing when several servers help you, but its better than the alternative Never had a bad experience here - you can't go wrong. Solid lunch or dinner choice!

We eat here every once in awhile. The beer is good, but the attention to detail and the service is consistently mediocre. After another visit where we had service issues, I thought it warranted a review. Our order was wrong; this didn't seem to concern anyone. I think they took about $1.59 or something like that off the bill. They just consistently fail to impress.

First day of training and still trying to digest the breakfast from the hotel, but it was lunch time and that's what you do, go eat lunch. It was just a short walk from the office, and we were there before the lunch crowd, well, the crowd never arrived, but there were enough people to keep the doors open. I had to restrain myself from ordering a brew, didn't want to be the only one drinking. We had the spinach artichoke dip for appetizer, typical bar food, better with a pint of ESB? Maybe. I had the beer cheese soup to start with, it was just strange enough, I had to give it a try, we joked about California have better cheese because we have happier cows, but I don't think the waitress got it. Anywho, I could smell the beer in the soup, and I can see the cheese, but it tasted like a cup of salty melted block of cheese, way too thick to drink, better with more beer in it? Maybe. Too bad we ran out of chips, it could have been better as a dip? Maybe. The Chicken Grill sandwich was okay, nothing special, better with a pint of wheat? Maybe. The food was only average, better with a pint for each course? Definite maybe.

In town for the Special Olympics National Games and happened to stay at the Hampton Inn right next door. The food here is a "cut above", especially the beef. All cooked just as ordered, with a varied selection of sides including a daily sauteed vegetable. The lavosh bread is a nice original item also, We liked this place so much, we ate there three times in the first two days in Lincoln. As someone partial to sampling local microbrews, this place is a magnet. They just need to add a true "sampler" like other brew pubs. They seem to have seven local drafts available, one being a seasonal. As a fan of Newcastle, I particularly enjoyed the Three Stone Brown. The desserts are limited and typical for traditional American cuisine. You may want to ask about daily special desserts however - the in-season strawberry shortcake special was extraordinary - another reason for four stars. Several local volunteers at the Special Olympics golf venue later agreed that this is one of the better places to go while in Lincoln. Don't know if we will ever be back, but will definitely return to Lazlo's if we do.

A 3+, actually. Almost, but not quite a 4. I should have paid attention when the waiter looked at me like I had three heads after I ordered a margarita. It was terrible. Shame on me... this is a BREWERY, man! Things improved after that, though. The sliders were very good. I mulled over the lavash, or lavosh, or however they spell it. What is that, a pizza? I skipped it. The New York Strip was delicious; perfectly cooked and flavorful. They can dump some rich sauces on top of it for extra $$... why cover it up, though?

3.5 stars!!!! In town on a business trip and we were going to the "hot spot" to eat. We have these places back in NYC and they are called TGI Fridays, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesdays etc... All in all though take it for what it is worth. Solid meal from start to finish. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked well. Again nothimg over the top fancy, but Lazlo's keeps it simple and that is why it worked so well. Only major issue waswhoever was pouring the drafts. Beers could have been topped off a little better.

Visiting Lincoln from Portland Oregon and I found this gem of a brew pub. The place is very nice, new, and clean. The staff are also very nice, clean and friendly. My daughters and I rode our bikes down highway 2 for four miles just to have a beer at this brew pub. We ended up tasting all the beer (Fallen Angle is wonderful) and having lunch. The steak turned out very nice and the salmon was also delicious. Okay, it was saturday morning and we were the first customers of the day. They were not busy that noon time until after we left. They do get the business in this location. These guys are doing something right, very good food, great beer, and nice service (if not they will fix it.). Just the best brew pub I have been to outside of Oregon.... (The micro-brewery capital of the world by breweries per capita. ) This place felt like my home brew pub....

The place is clean and nice. Waitress was great. The ruben came out and the Cheese was literally burnt, but I picked that off, but still a hint of burn. The Salmon was one of the best fish my 64yr old dad has ever had, and he is a fisherman from the north. I also tried it and I loved it. My wife got the special Hawaii chicken (because we used to love there) and upon further review, they put HOT HOT Chipolte sauce on it. That's not a Hawaiian thing, but a well. She ate it. Good place, but I think the Rubens are better down town at the other Lazlo's

Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. Seated right away. Asked for the taster beers, was served 8 out of 9 because they were out of one. Our bill reflected the missing beer. Especially enjoyed the oatmeal stout, wheat beer, and porter. Take a sip of the porter, and wait for it, wait for it- ahhh, there's the vanilla. Yum. Ended up with a six pack to go. Hubbie took home a growler of the stout. Couldn't decide between a burger and steak. So happy I went with the sirloin. Enjoyed the gorgonzola sauce served with it. Skipped the beer cheese soup at the server's recommendation and had salad. French fries with the steak not so good. Tasted like a mix of sugar, pepper and salt sprinkled on. Should have ordered the mashed potatoes like hubbie- perfect. Very good steaks, orderd medium, but came out more like midrare. But that is ok by me. EXCELLENt SERVICE. Honest waitstaff that was also able to recommend other local places (Ivanna Cone!) Clean restrooms. Table was cleared promptly by any available server, not just the one assigned to our table. Water glasses kept full, again by anyone coming by with a pitcher, not just our server. Like this kind of teamwork. Would recommend to anyone with an interest in beer and beef.

Living in Chicago, I have very high expectations of food & service; so this review is coming from that angle. The food was ok. From the fewnreviews that are here on yelp, I expected a little better. The service was pretty good. I like that they work in a team so when you're in need of something, anyone can help you. However, we were offered two things that weren't even available that evening. Being mid-October, one would expect the Octoberfest brew to be out, but no such luck. And, we were offered and ordered soup that wasn't available. Our server apologized though, so no worries, but luckily they stopped at 2 strikes. The atmosphere is cool, I like it and the beer was GREAT! I'll give them a 4 just b/c I don't like to be mean.

  • Norm M.

I had heard so many wonderful things about this place that I finally cracked and decided to go. The menu was not that exciting and the service was much worse. My waitress was unattentive and clueless of what was going on with my order. I didn't think it was possible to mess up a hamburger but I guess I was wrong. I ordered the Lazlo's burger cooked medium, nothing complicated. The burger didn't look all that exciting when I finally got it(think whopper with honey mustard instead of mayo). Instead of taking a bite, I decided to cut it in half. When I finished cutting it, I found raw meat on the knife. Upon closer inspection, the burger was not even close to being cooked medium. I decided against getting a new burger or a new order for that matter. The beer I had was good but the service could have been better, and of course, my food should have been edible.

I am always up to giving most places a second chance and man was I glad I felt the need to give Lazlos another shot. Had been to the one in the Hay market and the service was terrible. So we drove into the south location and it was packed so we searched the bar area and found a seat and was approached within 2 minutes of sitting down by a gentleman named Eric and what a difference he makes to the place. He is very serious of his job and making your stay the most enjoyable thing ever. Ordered beers and a few appetizers and then onto our meal. We had the BBQ chicken Lavosh with jalapenos and damn was that good with their Oatmeal Stout. So if looking for a good time and want to get to know more about Lazlos beers and food hit the South location up and ask for Eric he is the man. And tell him congrats on his new addition to the family.

I have eaten here dozens of times and I have never left unhappy. Lazlo's is the best, food, service and atmosphere in Lincoln. I LOVE it! The spinach and artichoke dip, ribs and Lavosh are to die for! This restaurant does everything right. Best of all, it is locally owned.

When you travel for a living, you have to learn to search out places where you can enjoy some good eats and equally good alcohol. I found Lazlo was the place to relax and unwind with some great beer in the Historic Haymarket district. From the wood beamed cieling to the wooden barstools, it felt like I had stepped back in history to a time when the people were migrating west and I had just stepped into the local watering hole. The chorizo potato skins were a decadent, spicy appetizer and the Rainbow Chicken was pretty memorable. It has been a good 3 years since I travelled to Lincoln, but from what I recall, this restaurant is located close to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln football stadium.

I admit I'm a little puzzled by the glowing reviews. This place has good beer. Empyrean Ales is great, and Lazlo's is its home. But the food has always been unremarkable. It's not a creative menu. And, although I will eat here without complaint, there is nothing on the menu that makes me want to go back. For me it's much more about the beer and the location.

I really like Lazlo's it's a nice laid back local place with local food! Have to get the mini burgers when I eat here! They are amazing! And so are their fries! Especially when they have their sweet potato fries! Staff is always really nice and the place is always really clean. Everything is served hot and quickly! Overall a great place to grab a quick bite to eat! Its laid back but not too laid back.

Four stars because of the beer selection, the lavosh is pretty good and so are sine of the burgers. What keeps merry l my coming back is the beer. It's a large selection of craft beers and many of them pair well with their menu items. It's a good American food joint but a better brewery

Get the widow maker burger. Get it. Top it off with a great bar and beer selection and you've got yourself a pretty snazzy place. Their voodoo chicken pizza is a great appetizer too.. It's pretty new (at least I think so.. Don't remember seeing it on the menu a while ago) and it's a bit different but I think it was worth the risk. They also have some of my favorite french fries in Lincoln!

From their food to their locally brewed beer, I've yet to have a bad meal at either Lazlo's location. It's also a great place to have business meetings or go on a nice date, or a night out with the family. Love this place!

This is a good place to meet with family and friends. The food is decent and they have a nice selection of craft and microbrew beers some brewed on site. The service and price are decent too. Overall, not a bad place.

My wife is gluten intolerant. We researched online and found Lazlo's. They have a terrific selection of gluten free options. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Heritage Park. Lazlo's is a short walk out the front door. It is a clean well lighted place. The music is festive and not too loud so conversation was free and easy. I had the Guacamole burger. My wife had a sirloin steak with portobello mushrooms. - Food, Service, atmosphere were all outstanding. I highly recommend it.

I loved this place! My husband and I had dinner here after a long road trip. The server was friendly and very helpful. I ordered a veggie burger with fries (the best I have had in awhile.) Their beers were good. We topped our meal with strawberry shortcake, which was seasonal (also very good.) Fun casual atmosphere with reasonable pricing. We will definitely have to stop by again.

This place is a Lincoln institution, the food is good, but what is most impressive is that it is always good, every time, even though they are always extremely busy. The place runs like a well oiled machine. NY Strip, Rainbow Chicken, Ribs, and Burgers are some of their best offerings. They also have great homemade craft beers, I would personally recommend the Burning Sky, Vanilla Porter, and Third Stone Brown.

Sunday night at 5:30 and the place was packed. A table for six took 20 minutes of wait time. Took a while for the waitress to show up but once she did our drink and food orders were timely. However, it took a while to get our food. I think it took a while for them to burn my well done cheeseburger :) and one food order (salmon) was about five minutes behind the rest. The food was pretty good and The price was right. I probably won't go back anytime soon.

I love this place. Is it super fancy food? No. However, what they do have is great pub food and a few nice touches like fresh salmon and great beer. They brew their own and it is very good. Great family place, and everything is always fresh and well prepaired. We have been going here for years and prefer the south location because it is closer to us and more parking. Everything from the pub club, to the steak is very well made. No cutting corners here. Service is usually very good, with other servers filling up your water/soda and bringing your food out when it is ready so no waiting under a heat lamp like other places. When its ready, somebody brings it to you right away. I wish I could say other places do this as well. The only faults is that it is usually very busy for both lunch and dinner, so it can be a long wait to get in. A good way to judge this is if the parking lot is full, with no place to park but in the lots behind, then you are going to have at least a 45min wait. They also have a large private room in the back for groups and parties.

This is one of the best restaurants in Lincoln. Its another must any time I'm in town. I always get the fillet mignon and fries. Yeah, sounds like a strange combination but its awesome. If you don't leave there stuffed then you didn't do it right. Not a real fan of the in house brews, but thats just me. My beer snob friends like it so I just assume they're decent. The service is always great, I swear they have CCTV cameras on each of us because almost always someone appears out of no where to pick up a dirty plate the second you put down your fork.

The food and service are very good. The Empyrean beer selection is getting a bit tired. The lighter beers show what happens when you don't' properly treat hard water. You can taste the astringent tannin taste. Their dark beers work well with hard water. They really need to branch out into some lighter beers such as saisons, tripels and wit beers. Most beers are heavy ales. The appetizers are top notch and the service could not have been better.

What a fantastic place for a graduation party!! Had my daughters's UNL graduation here last night!! We had the Empyrean room booked for 20 people and it was perfect for our group! We were blessed with a fun and very efficient waitress (Kari) who took excellent care of our guests! Of course we had a few "bumps" along the way but when you have a large party.... It happens but the manager and staff were quick to address every concern! From the beginning to end, the appetizers, food and drinks were top rated! Thanks Kari, hope we didn't work you too hard!!!

Beer good. Found it odd that all employees kept going to patio. This was after 9pm. So I look outside and all smoking at a table hanging out. Find this out that it is against the law for patrons to do this, but staff is all good. I don't smoke, but find the irony funny. Also the only persons working was the bartender. Everyone else just hanging outside.

Workmanlike production, but it seems like they've spent way more on decor, than on food and beer. This is supposed to be a brewery, but our first waiter (we seemed to have several) could only respond "huh?" when we asked about their various beers. To Lazlo's credit, one of our many waiters did come by the table and offer us a couple of comp tasters of different brews. That's always a nice touch, yeah? Especially when you call yourself, you know ... a brewery. The food? ... I guess unmemorable is the word. Since I'm sitting here looking at "Voodoo Chicken" on the bill, and I have absolutely no recollection of what that means.

We ate here again and I decided to rate it again a second time. Service was very good, the best I ever had. We had ONE server, who was mostly on his game. He did however forget to leave something off of my husbands meal, and he also didn't write it down. The beer bread we requested was stale and dry. We received our meals in the amount if time I was expected to wait. My husband got the cobb salad without eggs or tomatoes. The server forgot to leave off the eggs. I got the MED chicken with FF and sauteed green beans. French fries were good as always with plenty of creamy garlic. Sauteed green beans were cooked perfectly, although were half cold when I received them. The med chicken was cooked all the way through, but the topping.....let's talk about that. So the Med. Chicken comes with garlic, tomatoes, onions, artichoke hearts, and olives. That all sounded very tasty to me because I like all those things. So in my mind before receiving my plate I envisioned it to be somewhat like a relish, lightly cooked in its own juices, sauteed, flash steamed, anything than what was presented. On top of my chicken was a disaster, it was all of the ingredients stewed in a lot of juice and slopped on top of the chicken, so much juice in fact that the entire bottom of my plate was covered and my fries were soggy. So I politely asked for new french fries. The supposed to be relish as I thought it was, mainly consisted of tomatoes and onions, i didn't taste any garlic, and had maybe one or two olives and no artichoke hearts. We had the cheesecake for dessert, we also added strawberries. The cheesecake itself was absolutely amazing. The crust and filling had great flavor and consistency. Although it seemed like it had been frozen before. The strawberries were definitely canned or prepared days before. The strawberries were all ripe, but the juice on the bottom of the plate was runny juice, not a glaze as I thought it would be. So naturally the bottom of the cheesecake was soggy. So in short...they get 3 stars, if they fixed the "garnish" on the Med. Chicken and the strawberries on the cheesecake I would give them 5 stars. Everything else was good. I am discounting the server mistake because the eggs were easy to pick off, if it was the tomatoes that would have been a bigger problem and we would have sent the salad back. Salad was not presented in a bowl, it was on a dinner plate and of much smaller proportion sizr than usual. So of course most of the salad went on the table. But I definitely didn't leave hungry, above are personal preferences, maybe other people really like the garnish or maybe I caught them on a bad night. But i do know we will be returning for more creamy garlic. That stuff is like crack!

Lazlos has always been a favorite restaurant of my family. Always excellent service and food quality. Just a note for vegans and those with dairy allergies: The veggie burger and the quinoa burger are NOT vegan. I was told that both of the burgers contain cheese mixed in with the patty as a binding agent. Ordering the burgers without cheese WILL NOT make them completely dairy-free.

Party of 25 at a birthday party and I can't imagine it was easy. Kids, adults, parents, not an easy crowd but service was spot on and accurate like a marksman. Always get the fries and creamy garlic when offered sides. The Octoberfest was not on tap which was disheartening but the watchman IPA took its place just fine. That was a sharp and potent IPA that had notes of grapefruit and a light hoppy finish. Great job to our server, number 8115.

It's a decent microbrewery with average food but great brews. I ate here twice during my last trip to Lincoln, since the downtown one was way too crowded and parking was a nightmare. It's a little out of the way, but overall it's easier and there wasn't a wait, even for 25 people. The food was all right. My French Dip came out on the cold side, but other than that, it was ok. I really do like the beers here. I had sirloin kebobs on the second swing around, and while those were good, there were slightly over cooked, and they were veiny and a little on the tough side. You don't get the ambiance of the Haymarket location, but if you want to be able to sit and eat right away, this is your place.

Good average restaurant. Went twice while on a business trip. Both times my 6oz filet was over cooked. Medium steak came out charred on the outside and little to no pink inside. Service is excellent, rather loud near the bar, but that is to be expected.

Take if from a local - this place is the best. Service is great and food is great. My daughter is vegetarian and they have some of the best options. Anything you order is going to be good. There is often a wait but it is worth it.

A review for french fries??? Yep! Lazlo's has some of the best french fries I have ever tasted. They are prepared perfectly - with that outer crunch - yet not too done inside. The seasoning is perfect. I often choose to go to Lazlo's just so I can order their fries!

Excellent seasonal brews, beer-cheese soup, and medium-rare rib-eye.

Excellent seasonal brews, beer-cheese soup, and medium-rare rib-eye.

Always crowded, loud and expensive. I resent having to pay for a refill on my soft drink.

I tried this place while in Lincoln. It was okay, nothing too great, just ordinary. It was nothing to brag about; not worth all the hype.

Great beer bread. I had the bbq chicken and it was really good. The place is really clean, quiet and everyone was friendly.
