Great Sunday buffet. Not too busy, didn't feel rushed. Great wait staff. Pretty good variety on the buffet, I would say it's aimed more towards the breakfast crowd as the lunch type options on it are limited to fried chicken and roast beef. The bacon was of a really good quality especially for a buffet. Would definitely recommend.

This place encompasses everything I love about Lincoln Nebraska. Some comfort food, with kind and friendly staff. The place is always full of friendly families eating dinner and visiting with each other. Since I'm from So Cal, this place is a nice change of pace for me. There is nothing pretentious about it. Coincidentally, I take my grandmother here to eat at Grandmothers and she enjoys the food as well.

I used to go here all the time trying to support local restaurants but this place has management problems and the food has went down hill and is just not like it used to be. The last time we visited, we tried to use a coupon for one buffet half price with another paid buffet and the manager refused it even though it had no expiration date. He tried to tell us the expiration date was outside where we cut but we showed him the dashed line around the entire coupon. We ask him if it is it worth it to lose a customer for life over a $6 coupon and he said it was. They must be desperate for money and the food quality shows it. We still gave the wait staff a 20% tip because the management problems are not her fault. The buffet food was un-impressive and the best thing is the baked potato soup but you can get that at Don and Millies often for 99 cents. It is worth it to go to wilderness ridge or granite city if you want a good quality Sunday buffet.

They used to be one our favorite TGIF places but over the last year their food and drink have gone down hill. We have switched to Granite city after 9 happy hour, much better. Sorry Grandmother's you need to re-evaluate!

This place is really nice to go to when I want a beer and some good food without dealing with downtown or any of the divey/skeevy bars in town. They just got in a new beer, Lincoln's own zipline, and it's great. Food is fairly standard but my favorites include: - Both the French Onion Soup and the Loaded Baked Potato Soup are really good. I come here just for them. - Their Smoked Turkey Melt is SERIOUSLY GOOD. Gah. Yes. - I highly recommend the half sandwich/cup of soup arrangement, with the reuben. It's pretty fantastic too. Favorite specials: - Mondays: Two Taco Salads for $10 - Tuesday - $.40 Wings - Wed/Sat: pitchers of beer or liters of margaritas are served with a free order of nachos, onion rings or a relish tray. I'm solidly meh on the burgers. The dining room draws another indecisive meh, but I love hanging out at the bar. Most of the employees are really nice, and certain ones keep me coming back for the great service.

Two stars because the service was great but the food was mediocre at best. Snack attack appetizer was meh, frozen food tossed in the fryer and spin artichoke dip was oddly sweet. Bread was dry and dense. I had a patty melt and the meh parade continued. Ordered broccoli as a side dish and be warned, it comes swimming in cheese sauce but this is not noted on the menu. Overall, not a place ill come back by my choice.

When I am in Lincoln, I always try to re-visit Places from the Past. On Sunday, after the Ohio State game, my sister & I were looking for food before heading back to Kansas City MO. Grandmothers it was. We were not disappointed. The French Onion Soup was just as we remembered: hot, onion-laden & wonderful melted cheese. My quest for the perfect Reuben must be based on Grandmother's Reuben. Still excellent. I am only sorry we missed Happy Hour.

i like the wings and places that serve big beers are better than places that dont. Kids eat free on weds which is good for me. The wait staff is plentiful but I want them to be in a better mood when im out spending money on wings and beer. decent bar food. I like the UNL pep band on fridays before games too.
