Well the owners certainly care and that means a lot nowadays. I received a gift cert in mail as stated and was very apologetic. I will definitely give them another chance on the owners reply alone.

Do not expect much from the food. I had the chicken quesadillas thinking u can't mess up something so simple but I was wrong!

Food was good but probably the most horrible service I've ever had in my life. I had to bring my check to the bartender to cash me out because the server dropped my check and never came back. I'm talking 20 minutes. I had one beer and asked for another with my meal and was completely ignored. I work service and 2 ways to eff up: never picking up a dropped check and not getting someone another beer. Horrible.

We went for Blazing Pianos on a Saturday - a MUST try....the room was inviting, the crowd was a blast and the pianists were spot on with a wide array of selections and an AWESOME adult night night out. Before the show we sat on the deck and enjoyed some sports on the TVs and people watching - a great spot with friendly staff and not bad for a sports bar.

The manager (David??) was working the bar and my drink was never empty before he asked me for a new one. The guy seemed to be in a great mood. Made the night very enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for tourists and locals alike!!

It's a sports bar, and there is nothing wrong with that. Food is pretty much plain old deep fried bar food but edible. They free pour cocktails, but the draft beer sucks big time. It tastes a little sour no matter what faucet it came from. Which to me means there might be traces of bacteria in the lines. Also fruit flies galore in this place in middle of dead winter. That means the bar isn't being cleaned. I grab a lager from the bartender and he serves me warm beer that looks like apple cider. Served it to me in a hot glass straight from being washed. No carbonation at all. Same goes if you order a pitcher of anything else. I think the Health inspector needs to do a look behind the bar because this is pretty bad and I've been here on several occasions. Maybe that is why I see nothing but people getting cocktails and bottled beer....

WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!! Walked in with 2 Friends on a Saturday night around 7:00. Sat at the bar. First bartender was so depressing that we commented to the next bartender about him and she told us if we didn't like it we could leave. When I asked to talk to the manager that just happened to be standing right next to her listening to what she said. He asked us to step outside so we could discuss what the problem was. The manager said he would speak to the employees but no way did he care. He heard the whole conversation that went on and said nothing until he was called out. I would never go back and will make sure I tell all of my friends to stay clear also.

I'm writing an update from my previous review. I'm giving 5 stars and I haven't even been back solely on the fact that the owner reached out to me personally, discussed what was wrong, and offered gift cards for a return visit. I don't care if we come back and don't get perfect service, it's quite the gesture to take that extra step to satisfy a disgruntled reviewer. Thanks so much Jim you earned my respect big time!

Food = No way!!! Service = Great! I went in here to watch a basketball game and to grab a burger. When I saw the menu, I decided to order the sirloin steak instead. I asked for it to be medium- rare, which is also what the menu RECOMMENDS so you can enjoy the great flavor of the meat. The place was not very crowded but obviously my steak spent a long long time under a heat lamp or something. It was so well-done, it was "hockey puckish"; which is what I told the friendly, attentive waitress. I was hungry so I tried to eat the leathery steak, but it was so burnt up, that it tasted kind of like liver... The waitress took it away and brought me another one that was cooked better. The grilled taste is pretty good but there's not a single bit of other seasoning on the steak I was able to eat. There's no steak sauce or Heinz 57, nor did I get offered any, so I actually used some of the ketchup that was on the table. Anyway, I got pretty nice service but the steak wasn't good whatsoever. Some of their other food might be pretty good, but I can't recommend the steak!

I'm assuming game day is a little different than the typical day here at Brewsky's but I'd still only bump it up to a '3 star' place. Food: We'd all been craving nachos (which I am still on a quest to find the perfect nachos) and Brewsky's gets about a 'D' on their nachos. We ordered extra cheese only to get it 5-10 min after we had the nacho's dropped off at our table. Oh, then it was that nasty nasty nacho cheese that squirts out of a random plastic package that you'd normally get at a baseball game...not what I was expecting from any restaurant. Price: Decent. Service: I mean, it was game day. I'd say it was average for what I would expect from a game day, but still took us a while to flag down our server when we needed her. Again, no fault to her, she had about 72 tables.

We went a night after the a Husker win so I'm not sure uf that had a bearing on how things went. Beers are quite expensive. Our food was cold and sub-par to say the least. Very drunk people dancing by the stage of the dueling pianos. I dont think ill go back for another 2 years.

Went to Brewsky's for the first time on game day in Lincoln. The place was packed, and we had to wait for a table, but the weather was nice, and we finally found some patio seating. The food is horrible. I mean, worse than most fast-food burger joints. The burger patties were stiff, dry, and flavorless. The fries were bland and limp. Nachos were lightly drizzled with bland, canned cheese sauce, a few spoonfuls of salty chili, and a tiny dollop of sour cream. Between my wife and I, we had five beers (2 bottles, 3 small draws), a nacho appetizer, and a couple plates of burgers and fries. Total bill was $58.00, plus tip. A price tag like that is ok if the food is good, but when the food is bad, it feels like a rip-off. We won't go back. On the positive side, the server was friendly, knowledgeable, and very much on her game. With so many guests, I didn't expect great service, but our drinks never went unattended, and she stopped back a couple times just to make sure we were satisfied. She was top notch.

Went here on NCAA Tournament which was a Saturday. In addition, this place has a huge patio (which is great) but the weather was nice (finally in Lincoln) but they only had one server on shift to wait the patio tables. What? Great weather evening in the middle of Nebraska so everyone is going to want to sit outside, NCAA basketball and it's Saturday night. C'mon...staff you restaurant accordingly. We decided to order buckets of beer ($16/bucket is RIDICULOUS) so that we wouldn't have to wait a long time for our server. Eventually...we left and headed to a much better bar...Jacks.

Brewsky's has decent and reasonably priced bar food. I've been to their downtown and south street location, and have had better experiences at the south street location. They have some pretty good food and drink specials during the week, and that's what has generally lured my friends and I in. They have pretty great salads, decent burgers and nachos. Nothing special, but nothing terrible.

Service was a bit lacking though the outdoor seating made for a nice, relaxing visit. Try the strawberry margarita--its not as overly sweet as those found at many other places.

Yeah, so, I am a fan of dive bars but due to not knowing where the hell I was I ended up at Brewskys Haymarket. I liked the music coming from the jukebox onto the patio (hair metal baaaaybyyy!) and also the fact that they were serving food since I had forgotten to eat. The inside is very large, wood floors, TVs with sports on, some video games, etc. We opted to sit on the patio though since it was in the 50s and, being from TX, I am just not used to such refreshing cool weather this early in the season. We ordered a couple of appetizers and our waitress told us all appetizers were $5 right now - at 11pm on Saturday! Yess! We also ordered pitchers of beer - I love places that serve pitchers. As for the food, here's my verdict: chips good, salsa ok, spinach-artichoke dip good but could have eaten more of it, queso ehhhh not really great, and mozarella sticks decent. I assume you don't really come here for the food but more for the drinks. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer - she was on her game and she was so friendly - we even chatted about the concert that night. After this we wandered downstairs where there is a piano bar. You know, the dueling pianos with the musician/comedian guys that dish out schtick, dirty jokes, and silly songs and people tend to get drunk and make asses of themselves? Yeah, that kind of place. I wished we had been down there the entire night after watching just 15 minutes of the antics going on. Also of note is the game upstairs where a punching bag comes down and you get two goes at punching it. Then the machine gives you a score based on how badass you are. I knocked a 598 on the women's setting. Come get you some suckaaaas! Met some fun people while playing as well. Everyone in Lincoln is so friendly!! If I lived in Lincoln I figure I'd probably find a lot of hole in the wall dive bars to visit, but for just hanging out with a few friends, meeting people, and having a good time this place will do just fine!

Let me start by saying while they were very busy due to a UNL basketball game the service was very good, the place was clean, nice TV selection with viewing from nearly everywhere in the restaurant. I used to visit the Brewsky's in west Lincoln a lot although several years ago (moved). The food was always good and the portions were plentiful and the prices fair. It was always a place you knew everything was going to be decent. Well, we tried the Haymarket location and in regard to the food it was disappointing. The prime rib melt was lacking prime rib...really you had to really look to find it. The sandwich looked like a patty melt but Where's the Beef? We also had "THE" Chicken Sandwich. When you name it like it is something special it should be. The skinny breast (had to be 3.5 ounce breast) was buried between a large bun and the breast would squirt out on every bite even gripping that sucker hard. Ended up losing half the bun and using a knife to finish it...it wasn't good. They adorn the plate with a LOT of fries which may be their way of making up for lack of substance on the sandwich. Personally, I'd be ok if they raised their prices and beefed up the sandwich content and reduced the load of fries to a generous serving. Brewsky's was built on reputation and I'd hate to see them step backwards.
