    I do lunch here frequently and have yet to order something I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Pho pots are a big hit and the vermic. noodles are always cooked perfectly in my opinion. I continue to recommend this place. Great lunch specials. Only complaint is the place is always chilly in the winter

    Vietnamese is one of my favorite cuisines, so when i was in Omaha recently at a nearby hotel I hopped on yelp to see what I could find. This was a few miles away but decided to give it a chance. It had to be a quick lunch, so I didn't get to sample as many items as I would have liked. Went with one of the lunch combos against my better judgment since I was pressed for time and was disappointed. It was a noodle dish with beef and came with a spring roll. The spring roll was better than many other places I have been to across the country, but still no where near the best I have had (Golden Saigon in Aurora, CO still kills it). The peanut dipping sauce that came with the spring roll was okay, but nothing to write home about. The entree was helped after I tracked down some hoisin and sriracha sauces. I wish I had more time to try the pho and some of the other dishes. Service was friendly and quick, but I was the only person in there at noon on a Wednesday (kind of alarming). If I'm in the area again I may come back, but I don't really see myself driving across Omaha for it.

    Thanks for the referal Mr. Yelp, I needed my PHo Phix and this restaruant was just what I was looking for. go for the big bowl of sliced beef. plenty of fresh vegies to add in. my only ask is how about Limes instead of lemon. is that too much. Nice little order of vietnamese egg rolls go along well. Warning if you drive up in the dark, this parking lot looks like a war zone blew up on it.

    This place is owned by the other Vietnamese restaurant's cousin. This is actually my favorite of the two. Service is great. I had the fish clay pot. The red curry chicken. And the pineapple curry chicken... And some shrimp dish... forgot the name. And spring rolls. It was beyond delicious. Simply fresh, spiced to perfection. All the dishes had a different flavor. It was a slice of heaven. The bubble tea was yum as well. It is difficult to explain how delicious this food really was.

    I've been here twice. Both times very good. I had the Chicken Pho first time with spring rolls & Pork & Shrimp Vermicelli the second time. Good portions. Also a very wide variety of things to pick from the menu. Boba is good too. The lady who served me was very friendly & I waited a reasonable amount of time for my food. I can't wait to come back & try the other things.

    Decor was personalized and neat. I ordered the combination pho which was the best I've had in a long while. The owner is very nice and happy to help. The Thai iced tea was a little on the sweet side but enjoyable nonetheless!

    It's officially puffy coat season, which either means go home and secret-eat a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy in sweatpants and fall into a carb-induced coma OR rally for an evening out for a hot bowl of pho enhanced with some heat to kick in those spice-loving endorphines. Well, obviously went with the second option since I'm writing this review and not pre-sleep napping on the couch. Unassuming little establishment in an equally unassuming strip mall tucked behind a row of fast food options in LaVista. Ambience is in line with service - no nonsense, quick, and efficient. No candles on the tables, linen napkins, or white glove service here folks. Fried eggrolls (4 for $4ish) came with a side of dipping sauce, iceberg lettuce and cilantro. These are no the super-fatty buffet eggrolls, but skinny, crispy, piping hot tubes of yum. Chargrill beef with lemongrass ($8ish) was served with a side of rice, salad and sauce. The salad was a little sad looking, but the beef had great flavor and would opt for the vermicelli bowl next time. The pho ($8ish for the regular size) with rare beef with a liberal dash of chili oil and squeeze or sriracha was a hit. While I do prefer a plethora of odd greens that can accompany pho, I remind myself that this is Omaha and we're a bit slow jumping on the pho-wagon (heck, I'm still waiting for someone to open a bahn mi truck). Overall, one of the better pho I've had in the Omaha area, although I'm guessing I'll be poofed up like a tic tomorrow from the sodium. From the other reviews, it seems that we might have a hit-or-miss situation happening here, but I'm going to reserve judgment since our visit was a success. It's on my list of places to go again, so will plan to update after our next visit. Puffy coat season's just begun, so plenty of opportunities for pho-filled evenings ahead!

    I saw a string of raving reviews and decided to stop by this Vietnamese restaurant for a culinary pick-me-up. The spacious interior is good for groups as there were rows of booths and tables neatly arranged from the door to the cash register in the back. For a while I was the first and only customer, so the vibe was pleasant and relaxing given the clean, vintage blue-green décor. I had the Pho with Rare Steak ($6.95) and requested the rare steak to come on the side. The noodles took a long time to come, and the side vegetables lacked variety with only sprouts, lime, and cilantro. Surprisingly, the broth had all the spices and was quite flavorful. However, the complete absence of bone marrow flavor reminded me of the instant noodle packages that I used to make at home. The rice noodles came slightly thicker than the places I had previously visited, and the beef were sub par in terms of flavor, texture, and quality. It was one flavorful greasy spoon, but without the beefy sustenance the cost was difficult to justify and so was the visit. The Taro Boba ($3.25) had mixed results as the serving was very generous but the quality of the boba came with stiff chews here and there. The drink was made with artificial powder, but the secondary coconut milk flavor was surprisingly positive. Service was friendly and down to earth. It's nice to know this place exists, but the locals also deserve a lot more than what I had experienced. I won't be coming back.

    Pork Vermicelli, Egg Rolls, Pho - I frequent this place due to the location and the fact that owner is very nice. Food is quite good. The viet egg rolls are the best in town though as is her thai tea. Pork Vermicelli is also really good. I do recommend this place as there is a VERY limited selection of good viet food in Nebraska.

    What a pleasant surprise tucked away in a small,strip mall.The decor was cozy and cute. Now on to the yummy food. The spices were perfectly blended, and all 4 dishes were marvelous! Pineapple shrimp with curry,curry shrimp, spring rolls...were fresh, fresh, fresh! I will return soon. I wanna try other items on the menu, but loved these dishes sooo much, i may have to have the same things again!!

    I been here twice first I had the chicken curry and was not impressed. My mom is from Saigon and knows how to make amazing curry. The curry wasn't what I was use to. There wasn't very much broth to the curry and no potatoes. The second time I went I got lemongrass squid with vegetables it was good. I ordered because my mom doesn't cook squid and I love squid.

    I really wasn't impressed. I came in about 2 pm. My plane just landed and I wanted something light and healthy. I interrupted the waitress' lunch. She sat me and then sat back down to eat her own. I really felt uncomfortable by her bouncing back and forth from me to her plate. It's not her eating that was the problem, it's I felt bad and uncomfortable for interrupting her meal to serve me. The soup was ok, its PHO its really hard to mess up. My side garnish looked a bit old and wilted.

    YUM! I'm from Lincoln and my favorite Vietnamese restaurant is no more. I had a craving for spring rolls and this was close to where I was staying so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. You get two huge, fat spring rolls per order that are super fresh, crunchy and have the perfect amount of mint. I've never been a big fan of the peanut sauce, but it wasn't too bad for light dipping. I also tried the charbroiled chicken vermicelli. This is most likely going to be one of my new favorites. It was a decent portion, the sauce was sweet, the chicken lightly charred, veggies crunchy, peanuts crunchy...it was better than the spring rolls! I'll be back over and over to explore the menu. I called in a pick up order so I don't know much about the atmosphere. It was late enough no one was there (they close a 9 p.m.) but it looked clean and quaint. The woman helping me was very, very pleasant. Overall, great experience!

    So came for lunch with some colleagues and go the pork and egg roll bowl with noodles. It came out cold...weird...not sure if it was suppose to come out cold or if it had been sitting too long. It was served with a spicy chili sauce and I put some siracha on it as well. The flavor was okay but I prefer my noodles warm and that I think threw the whole dish off. Also a few too many bean sprouts for my taste. I will go back...I hear good things about the Ban Mi. And for 10 or so bucks not a bad place for lunch. I have just been informed by Sarah G that the dish IS suppose to be served cold. I will have to try again.

    I just started working nearby and was in the mood for Vietnamese food. I'm so glad I yelped this little gem. On my first trip I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and a banh mi. The spring rolls were perfect, stuffed full of ingredients with a great blend of herbs for a hit of freshness. The only criticism I have is that their peanut dipping sauce was a little thin. It didn't bother me since I prefer a hoisin/sriracha mix for my spring rolls, but FYI. The pork banh mi was equally as good. I asked for extra cilantro and jalapenos in mine since I really like those flavors and the sandwich was great. I still need to try their banh tom and pho but I'll wait until the temperature cools down a little first.

    I came here after reading a lot of decent reviews. My pho dac biet had the large, flat noodles, kinda like pad thai. I usually prefer the skinnier ones, so the flavor and texture wasnt there. The portion size of the pho was also small. I also got a calamari lemon grass stir fry. When I received it, there was a hair on my plate. No biggie, it wasnt on the food so I just wiped it. Flavor was ok too, but I wasnt blown away. Usually these types of dishes I expect more flavor from all of the onions and garlic.

    Two weekends ago I needed a Pho fix so I Yelp'd and found Vietnamese Restaurant. There weren't many options so deciding to go here was a no brainer. The restaurant is situated on the end of what appeared to be a well kept strip mall. On the contrary, the parking lot and road leading to the strip mall was the absolute worst stretch of pavement I've encountered anywhere since moving to Omaha! I wouldn't describe these monstrosities as potholes due to their depth and width. They looked more like asphalt graves and I am sure many of cars have been brought to their mechanical knees driving over these things! Anyway, after bobbing and weaving through the parking lot I finally made it inside. The restaurant was very clean but completely empty. Yes it was around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon but I was still surprised at the desolation. A nice lade immediately greeted me and waved her hand as if to say, "Sit anywhere". I already knew what I wanted so I requested a chicken pho and Mt. Dew without seeing the menu. While waiting for my food I thought it'd be best to use the restroom so I could enjoy my lunch uninterrupted. The hallway leading to the restrooms and the restroom itself, made me second guess my decision to give Vietnamese Restaurant a try. Seriously I contemplated leaving but the hunger pangs made me push through. I made it through eyes closed and when I returned back to my seat, the food was waiting piping hot. The Pho was extremely good and the broth was savory. A first for me was having to ASK for jalapenos and receiving a lemon wedge instead of lime. Maybe that's a mid-west thing. I will definitely be back but this time will use the bathroom BEFORE leaving the house.

    I can't believe I haven't written a review about this place. I really thought I did! Well, since it said I didn't, here we go (probably for the second time!). I really really really love the food at this restaurant! Honestly, it is the only place I come to just get egg rolls. There was this one time I was craving their egg rolls and drove all the way over here to get them! The food here too, is delish! I usually get things with chicken in it. Their lemongrass chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken pho. They are all very very tasty. The last time I was there, they didn't have any chicken and had the owner pick something for me. It was catfish in a clay pot. It was really good! I'm usually not too comfortable eating things I'm not used to, but this was a nice surprise! The fish was soft and didn't taste fishy! I can definitely see myself ordering this again. My family and I love this food so much, we come here at least once a week. If you like Vietnamese food, you need to try this place at least once! I tell you, it's really good :)

    I'm a fan of this Vietnamese restaurant. I recently discovered it and the food is wonderful. The Pho is good but I am partial to the charbroiled beef vermicelli. The spring rolls are always a good way to tell whether or not they cut corners and these are delicious. I have to say that I prefer the Spring Rolls at Saigon better and you get double the amount for about the same price as they charge here. All-in-all, this is my Thursday evening stop! If you see me - say hi!

    We were in the mood for Vietnamese but not enthusiastic about the prospect of driving all the way to our usual favorite, Vietnamese Asian Restaurant on 72nd and Jones, so we were really delighted to notice this place much closer to home. In fact, it's owned by the former owner of Vietnamese Asian Restaurant, and the menu is very similar, even down to the numbers of our favorite dishes. I got my longtime favorite #25 (rice vermicelli with charbroiled chicken and shrimp), which was comfortingly familiar, yet different enough that you couldn't call it a clone, and my husband tried the seafood pho, a new dish for us. I don't eat pho that often, so I am not a connoisseur or anything, but I liked it a lot. The broth was mild yet flavorful and came with a generous portion of basil and bean sprouts to sprinkle on top. The location is smack in strip mall hell, but does have the distinct advantage of being cleaner than Vietnamese Asian and the decor is nicer, too. (Still not exactly romantic date material, though!) The service was fast and friendly.

    The restaurant had a friendly staff. It was clean and quiet. I ordered the spring roll and I also had the charbroiled chicken and it was good. The servings were just right. I had take out the next time and the food was the same as before. You should give it a try.

    The consistency here is unmatched. Aside from a few interior enhancements, not a single thing has changed and I still haven't had a bad meal. Keep doing what you're doing! I love the vermicelli dishes on a hot day, the curry dishes on a cold day, and the pho on any day. Spring rolls are HUGE and the best you will ever have!

    I flew in from Charlotte NC and was craving pho so I looked around on yelp, saw the mixed reviews of this place so I wanted to go see for myself. I can say I wasn't to impressed. I had the egg rolls which comes in 4 (4.95$) and the combination pho (7.95$) with rare steak on the side. The egg rolls are similar to other Vietnamese fried egg rolls, however, the pho came out and it was meager to what I was use to in Charlotte, little noodles with lots of broth. The noodles were a little under cooked, so they were still a little hard, the broth was flavorful but lacked the marrow flavor I accustomed to. The sides included sprouts , lemon, cilantro, and basil that wasn't wilted so that was good but I like a little spice so if they included sliced jalapino, that would give it a little more variety. Overall, I would give it 2 stars compared to what I'm use to as far as pho goes. If you're use to quality vietnamese restaurants, i would say pass on this place but its so so from my impression.

    Very quaint place that has some really good food. The tempura sweet potato appetizer is very tasty and unique. Have not had a bad dish yet.

    This restaurant is located in the small strip mall behind Taco Bell. No flashy names, it is what it says it is. It is in the former 84th Street Cafe. The owner sold the Vietnamese/Asian Restaurant on 72nd and Jones to her cousin and moved to La Vista. It has the same menu, the same gawdy paint color and the same great food! The space is warm and inviting. The service is outstanding the prices are great and the food is very comforting. It is so nice to have a great Vietnamese Resturant in the southern part of the Omaha metro.... less gas and no entertainment tax! Check them out!

    Stopped in here for lunch with my wife on a Tuesday in August. It's not going to win any awards for most imaginative restaurant name, but I guess it gets its point across. I ordered the Charbroiled Pork & Egg Rolls Vermicelli and a bowl of the Thai's Hot & Spicy Soup. The soup was good and had a nice heat level. It wasn't too spicy to eat or anything drastic like that. The vermicelli entrée was good. Pork had a great flavor. My wife tried the Red Curry with Chicken and like it but thought it was too runny. I am not terribly excited about the food here and I'm not jumping up and down to come back here again soon, but they do serve good food. There's just better food at other places closer to where I live and work. One scary thing is that the bottle of Hoisin Sauce on the table said "Refrigerate After Opening" but was not refrigerated (we got here just after opening, so it would have still been cold) and it had expired on December 29, 2012 (18+ months ago). So, if you do eat here, then that is one condiment you might want to avoid. Service was friendly and attentive.

    Decent, but not anything I'm going to drive out of my way for (and driving out of my way is the only way to get here, it turns out). The service was fantastic and the interior was nicely kept up. I could see us stopping in for a return visit if we lived in the area, but there are too many other places I'd rather eat on the course of what amounts to a road trip to get here. The food was good though, so if you're in the area and looking for Vietnamese, consider stopping in. My favorite was the pickled vegetable on the bahn mi sandwich!

    Seriously sone of the best chicken pho I've ever had. Service is amazing and I am ALWAYS in a hurry. She knows her regulars by name and remembered my order after only coming in once previously over a month ago - even reminded me that I ordered my spring rolls without shrimp last time and asked if that's what I wanted again. Her little daughters were on summer break and invited me to a tea party in the back. I've seen the kitchen, SPOTLESS! This lady is a rockin mom, amazing Copland fantastic business woman!! I got the spring rolls and chicken pho GREAT STUFF!! And I've had pho in SoCal, Texas and all the places in between this is easily the best

    I wasn't very impressed with this place. I had the Chicken Pad Thai and honestly it was not good at all. I have had much better Pad Thai everywhere else then here. Might give it another try but my first impression was not good.

    Great food! The restarant is nothing fancy..but when i want this style of food a fancy looking restaurant never does the job. The Pho is awesome. The spring rolls were good and my favorite...the fish claypot is AMAZING. The flavors they draw into the fish is something special. One is never enough. Its a drive to get there for me but if the craving is there i have no problem with the 15 min ride. I will be back. I always am.

    We just moved to Omaha and found this Gem. The food was excellent. Our service was very personal and she did a great job of explaining the differences in the selections. You have to finish the meal with a Bubble Tea. We will definitely be back.

    I'm in the process of relocating to Omaha, NE. with my company. I was in the area and thought I'll give this place a try to see if I can find a local (Viet) Pho shop my family we can frequent. Coming from an area where there's a larger population of Asian cuisine. This place short changed in taste, quality and service. Their combo Pho is a failure. Included in the ingredients was just a few selections of meats and cut. What happen to the tripe, tendon, brisket etc? The price is crazy as well for a simple bowl of Pho... Might have to rename that to 3 slices of meat Pho instead. When asked for fish sauce.. The owner, I believe asked back.. You want REAL fish sauce? I'm thinking to myself, there's imitation or fake fish sauce I'm not aware of? Definitively not coming back and will seek out other Vietnamese Restaurant in town once my family fully moved in. Even if I have to drive the distance Pho Real LOL
