Lasso is GREAT! It is such a cute little place right off the I-80 exit to Gothenburg. The first time I went, I was with a large group of Huskers and the Miss Nebraska from Gothenburg. She knew the owner and we all were served promptly. There is a great gift shop to occupy wait time and the menu is extensive. I like to get the peach jet tea here. It is a frozen drink with peaches and green tea, and the clincher is they put a Peachy-O around the straw!!! How cool is that???!!! I was sold. When I left Nebraska for Nevada, my first stop out of Lincoln was scheduled for Lasso Espresso in Gothenburg. My coffee-loving companion and I stopped here in the early morning hours. I got my peachy-o drink and she got something strong and coffee-esque. This made driving through Western Nebraska more fun than it would have been otherwise! Whenever you are on I-80 between North Platte and Kearney, stop here!!!

Probably the best place in Gothenburg for a coffee. Had a good ice blended mocha. They are also packed with trinkets

After driving from NJ, stopping at Starbucks and Dunkin, Lasso Espresso was a welcome change and we were not disappointed. Extremely friendly staff, good coffee (good selections), and very tasty home baked goods. The chocolate raspberry scone was fab! And they have a drive-thru. They are very close to the highway While there visit the sod museum. Very interesting and unusual.

Drive, drive, drive. Steam shovels (see a review in Boise) have now been replaced with... Corn. And more corn. Possibly also Children of the Corn, but that's why I'm driving eastbound on the I-80 at 125kmh, now, isn't it? (if someone in the Nebraska State Patrol reads that I was driving 77.7 mph in a 75 zone and mails me a ticket, I will still go I-80 the next time I drive cross country, solely because of Lasso Espresso). Ah! And that brings us to the actual point of this review! Lasso Espresso is a Washington State drive-up coffee place (though it has a proper coffee shop, too).... In the middle of central Nebraska. The coffee is also good, as good as any of the better locally owned joints would have around Vancouver where I live, and the service prompt even on a blisteringly hot summer day when my desire for a hot soy latte (and they did have soy milk) didn't bat an eyelash. There's something absurdly awesome about a real espresso joint in the middle of rural Nebraska, and moreover, the place really does have some of the best coffee I've enjoyed. Location pushes them to five stars, and I have to say, when you see the sign on the interstate, get off and dodge tractors on a state highway and pull up, you'll realize what the real meaning of oasis is!

If you like coffee, do not go here! I ordered a an espresso drink and counted the draw time at less than 4 seconds. Seriously, how can anyone think an espresso draw that fast makes sense? Truly amazingly poor.

We had hot chocolate with added peppermint flavor and a cappuccino with a double shot. Both were REALLY tasty. The hot chocolate blows Starbucks away. Such a cute place too. I wod go there often if I lived near there (to me, it's in the middle of nowhere) Awesome- a must stop

A little gem along I80. Shop has lots of nic-nacs for sale. Coffee is very good. The owner took a bold step setting up here but well worth a stop.

After you have seen the Pony Express Station and the Sod House, this is a great place to stop and get fortified with coffee and snacks before getting back on the long dreary road that is I -80 Nebraska.

A great small town place to come and shop while you sip on a nice cup of joe. The ladies here are wonderful to talk to and there is a great atmosphere that is relaxing and homey.

2.5 stars. Espresso on watery side and scalding hot. Needed to wait 10 minutes before cool enough to drink. Better flavor than McD coffee though.

Stopped here for breakfast on our road trip. Cute little western looking building next to the sod house museum. Had a bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit and it was delicious. Not greasy at all and pretty big! The mexican mocha is delicious, I haven't experienced a coffee like it. Beautiful and friendly staff!

Great find in a long trip. Kind of hidden next to the cenex gas station. Beautiful little place full of great coffee, snakes and really nice Selection of hand made Mugs and jewelry. Definitely stop if you are in the area!

Great coffee. Lots of sugar-free options. They also have soy milk, which is nice for the lactose intolerant. Very nice barista.
