These guys are awesome! Stopped in for my usual (large milk chocolate campfire mocha with extra marshmallows) had amazing service! The building was very clean and my order took almost no time at all to make. There is another location closer to where I live but I will always make the trip here for the service. Plus, these guys actually make my order exactly how requested (i.e. asking for extra marshmallows really gets you extra marshmallows). Whether you're new to town, just passing through, or a local yokal stop by some time to see what I'm talking about.

Sandy’s Donuts

This is the most awesome donut shop ever! They've got every flavor donut imaginable PLUS homemade breakfast. They also have a drive-thru if one's bottom can't be encouraged to walk the ten paces from the parking lot! And for those who are truly in deep need of a donut fix, it appears they deliver (might only be to large gathering, though, because I see four stalker-like vans with the logo in the parking lot.) In all seriousness.....awesome food, fun staff. I'd come back anytime I was in Fargo.
Been here a few times now, and would never have found this place had it not been for you amazing Yelpers!! Few months back, I had an important client breakfast meeting and wanted to bring some good, local pastries. Found this on yelp, and away I went. Everyone ooohed and ahhed over the donuts back then. I picked up a Pistachio muffin then for myself. And omg - they are seriously, like the best things ever! And now pretty much, whenever I go there I always have to get one. They are truly my favorite item at this bakery. Prices are totally cheap!! Wide selection of donuts, pastries.. and they also even have a drive-thru as well. (They're not open all day long, so make sure you go there right away in the morning.)
Sandy's has a ton of donut varieties to choose from. They also have muffins and rolls. They are great tasting. And, if that wasn't enough for a normal donut shop, you can also get sandwiches and soups here. Eat in, to go, or delivery (including box lunches). I have not tried the coffee, so I cannot say anything about that. From what I noticed, I believe coffee is probably just regular coffee. I don't recall seeing any type of espresso or specialty coffees, but I can't guarantee that. The decor is fairly standard for a donut shop. They do have quite a bit of seating, as this building once housed a Hardees. On Saturdays, this place is always hopping, so expect to stand in line. However, don't let the line scare you as it moves through very fast due to ample staffing. Even backed up to the front door, it usually only takes us about 5 minutes of waiting. If you are not familiar with where Sandy's is located, you will find it at the corner of Main Avenue and Sheyenne Street in West Fargo.

I heard about TNT's Diner from Roadfood and have been dying to try it out. I finally got my chance and this diner passes with flying colors! With no shortage of decor surrounding the seating, the menu is fairly varied. Breakfast is served all day (a standard for diners) but the sandwiches really make this West Fargo eatery stand out. They offer three different hot sandwiches - hot turkey, hot roast beef and hot hamburger. I went with the hot turkey sandwich and it was beyond praising. The sandwich itself is white bread with slices of chunky turkey and comes with both dressing and mashed potatoes; on top of that, the whole dish is covered in gravy! There are daily specials which vary such as Swedish meatballs, potato dumplings or open-faced chicken fried steak sandwiches. The desserts are even better as there is a wide variety of pies, cakes, cookies and other goodies like rhubarb crisp! The only problem with this place is that it's hard to find. It's part of what appears to be a strip mall behind Sandy's Donuts; it's hard to see unless you know where to look so I have to take off a few points for that. Other than that (small) flaw, TNT's Diner rivals any other diner or cafe in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Be sure to go here today for one of the hot sandwiches and desserts!
Visited the place on the recommendation of a local friend. It was not easy to find - the address lists it on main street but it's really on the side street behind Sandy's donuts. Not busy at all when I visited at 6:45 am on a Thursday morning. I appreciated the early open hours, and all the patrons were locals that were known by name. My service was fast, friendly, and attentive. My omelet was good - not great - but more than I could eat and only $12 total for food and coffee. No regrets making an effort to find this place. I love local holes-in-the-wall and this one was perfect. Highly recommend.
Great out of the way place. Last stop until Bismarck? You know it has to be good if Tom Hanks stops by when his plane breaks down. Breakfast available all the time (Chris' choice) or the Swedish meatballs - both great.

Great beer selection. Friendly and helpful staff. Had the chips which were outstanding. We were just there to have a beer but burgers looked great. Would go there again
Tempted to give them one less star due to the lack of free water... grumble grumble... but I have to say that their burgers are really good and especially great when considering the price. The sides, however, get old for me pretty fast. I like my fries a bit crunchier than theirs always turn out. And I always get that beer-cheese sauce and then wonder WHY, Why did I do that to myself, again!??! If you haven't, try their on-tap root beer.
Very good beer selection. Very good hand cut fries. Cold burger. ugh! Server was nice and suggested a "Sasquatch IPA" that turned out to be a Squatters IPA from Utah and it also turned out to be delicious, as were the hand cut fries that accompanied my Rajin Cajun burger. Unfortunately, while the fries were piping hot, the burger was not. It was lukewarm all the way through from the limp room temperature grilled onions to the burger. I think it would have been a very good burger if it had been at least warm. Not sure I want to give them another try to find out.

The service here is quick, though not always cheerful. It's my favorite Subway in the F-M area because they cut the bread properly so my tons of veggies don't fall off of my sandwich. They pay attention to the dining area so it's usually pretty clean, too. I'd definitely recommend it.

Maxwell’s Restaurant & Bar

Reviews:
We have eaten at Maxwells a few times over the past few years and have had an outstanding meal every time. Awesome wine selection and the food pairings are unique and very tasty. When we decide to have a special event or want a really nice meal, we always count on Maxwells to deliver. With a bottle of wine for 2, plan to spend $100 to $120 for the meal. Well worth it however. The bar also has a nice beer selection on tap with great appetizers. We stop in on occasion to have a martini and snack just for a change of pace.
Excellent. I've been coming to Fargo off and on for the last three months and eat here at least once a trip. First recommended by three different people. Had elk a couple times and the schnitzel special tonight. All well cooked with excellent service. Entree and couple of drinks cost about $60 with tip. Nice decor. Very pleased and highly recommend.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our food and experience at Maxwell's. While we ate off of the regular menu, we chose to sit in the bar for a more casual setting - we had not made a reservation and we were dressed casually. I had first assumed that while in the bar, we would be limited to the bar food menu but that is not the case. Starting off with a drink, I had a vanilla porter draft beer. I don't remember the brand but I believe it is out of Wisconsin. My wife couldn't decide what to drink so the bartender said he would just make something for her, which ended up being a martini drink that was supposedly a variation of a margarita (with pomegranate). She said it was tasty and strong, and also $12 which seemed a little steep. You could tell the bartender took a great amount of pride in his craft and I could hear him explaining the history of some types of booze to a customer who was asking some questions. For my entree, I had the Lobster Spinach Fettuccine. It was fettuccine made from Spinach, with a very good cheese sauce and topped with a lobster tail and bread. I've always thought lobster is overrated, so while it tasted fine, it was the fettuccine and sauce that made this meal so good. The portion size was very filling. My wife ordered the Roman Gnocchi Tower, which was okay. Nothing spectacular. We finished by sharing a chocolate cake with Bailey's ice cream on top. The dessert was very good and reasonable at $7. Odds of me frequenting Maxwell's again or very often are minimal. Not because of the selection and quality of food, or the ambience (because it is a warm, comfortable place), but mostly because I'm not the type of guy to spend $50 per on his meal. If spending $40-$60 on your meal is not an issue for you, then I would recommend Maxwell's for a try. If you do not know of Maxwell's or are not using something like Yelp to find out, you probably won't stumble upon it. But the same could be said of other good local fine dining like Mezzaluna or Sarello's.

I want to point I've eaten in Lockhart, Franklin's, Rudy's and Salt Lick. We were limited to a smaller menu as well. We had brisket, two types of chicken, a pasta dish, ribs, and some pulled pork as options. I got the ribs and with a side of Ceasar salad and a skinless potato. I heard the brisket was a bit dry and I was offended they called it Texas brisket and let it come out that dry. The ribs I had were primarily sauce sitting on top of the ribs. The dry rub wasn't on there, at all. The Ceasar salad was tasty and light. The skinless potato seemed to lack something but I couldn't recall what it was. Another person at my table had the spitfire pasta. I sampled it and felt that although it was mac and cheese with their rotisserie chicken, it was actually very tasty. The sauce was the right consistency and the rotisserie chicken was moist still. I'd come back because I saw the rotisserie chicken after the fact. It did look good. However, I do not think I'll be travelling back through Fargo anytime soon.
Reportedly my daughter's favorite lunch place and I don't blame her. It was busy when we arrived just before noon on a weekday but we were seated promptly and our server, though clearly busy with several tables all over the place in various stages of their meal, paying their tab, or generally monopolizing her time, managed to get to us several times as we ordered drinks, then our meals. She brought out a soft, warm, dark bread that I am told was delicious and a favorite treat of my daughter and her friends. Our meals arrived more quickly than I'd thought they would, warm/hot, well presented and pretty darn good tasting! We ordered off the lunch menu- my daughter the steak with a generous portion of mashed potatoes, and me the 1/4 fire roasted chicken with the sautéed vegetables. Yum on both. Her steak was well prepared medium rare, and the roasted chicken was really good- the flavor went all the way through- and whatever dry rub was used on the bird added just the right amount of seasoning without being too much. This place is reportedly extremely busy on weekend evenings (1 - 2 hour waits!) I'm sure because of its intimate, pub like decor, the open fire rotisserie, and the good tasting menu! Try it when you are in the area but have a snack first if it's busy and you can't find a seat at the bar.
We really enjoyed the food there and was well worth the money. I was a little surprised that the hostess was very unhappy looking as well as the manager. It definately set a mood in the place. We had the spitfires appetizer with our meal and they were really good. I would go back again, hopefully here will be some smiling faces.

I've been to this place a few times. Interesting place, kinda boring for a bar however I've never been there when it's busy if it gets busy, BUT the best thing I love about this place is the beer cheese soup! It is absolutely amazing!
This place used to be really good - my last visit the food tasted like it was microwaved out of a box . Not going back .
As is my normal rule, I like to give places second chances if I am not happy with food or service. So, a while back I came back to 3 Lyons to give it another try. I'm glad I did. I have not yet ordered the same things I did before - and, I was so turned off by them the first time, I probably won't - but the things I have ordered every time since have been great! So far, my favorite is the Beef Stroganoff, but the patty melt and the corned beef sandwich are really good, too. The Stroganoff is more an American version - without the dijon mustard - and that's fine. It's well-made: the noodles are cooked perfectly, the meat is lean and really tender, and the sauce is very tasty, with no grease. One thing I have noticed, though is that the portions are inconsistent - there can be a large difference between visits, or even between plates at a table. Since this is Fargo, and this place is a bar, you will want to come early. Starting around 6PM, the tables start to fill up quick!
