Admittedly, it's been a while since I've been here, but as much as I like Minot, there's just not a lot happening on the food front. Having said the above, I will compare the meals (steak...dead animal...mummmm), to some of the best steaks I've had anywhere (Mortons, Ruth's Chris, etc). Salad bar and soup, reallllllly gooooood. I took my mom and dad here when they were visiting, when the bill (about $50, with adult beverages) came (for 4) my dad commented that he and my mom couldn't eat the same quality meal in AZ (Phx area) for under $70 for two. I've dined at a buch a places in Minot...this was my favorite...hands down.

Walked in around 5pm on a Sunday wasn't very busy. Stood about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me and sat me down at a table. I noticed that in the whole restaurant only 2 tables had people. (Shoulda been a warning) Put in my order with the young and unprofessional waiter. And he mentioned that the salad bar was included. The salad bar had a decent variety of items but it seemed like everything there has been out for a few days. The broccoli cheddar soup tasted very watered down. I then waited about 25 minutes for my meal even though it wasn't busy at all. I ordered the ace of steaks (filet) medium. It did not look like a 10 oz steak. Also this is the first time I have seen my steak come from the kitchen and already cut down the middle. I'm guessing the chef didn't know how to cook a steak. It was very dry and bland I had to ask for A1 steak sauce for some flavor. The loaded baked potatoe was nothing special. I will probably not be returning to this place. Left with a $32 check and was still hungry.

I always love the food here. The drink choices are always changing && are usually delicious. We keep going back for the food but some times the service isn't the best. It's a struggle to get any of our requests filled. I could understand of it was busy. But usually we are one of the only people dining in the restaurant. it's a little disappointing when we have the same person wait on us all the time && not recognize us in the slightest. We go there at least every other week. If it wasn't for the food we would go elsewhere

Food, on the whole, is bad. It's saving grace from one star are the okay steaks. The items in the salad bar sits there too long, the ambiance is way dated, the drinks are not made very well, the lobsters look sad, sick, and old, and everything (aside from the steaks) tastes the same.

Seven's is one of those places that has a LOT of potential but falls short. I have read the reviews and it seems like they are across the board from being great to absolutely horrible. I have eaten there multiple times and it seems like things get worse and worse. In the last two and a half years I have eaten there with my partner or friends 7 times and have eaten multiple things off the menu across the board from pasta, steak, and the Ruben. Consistently across the board the food was very lackluster and NOT worth the price they were charging. Steaks were dry, pasta bland, and ruben tasting dry and bland. For what they charge, the place should be much better including atmosphere, food, and service. Highly disappointed and after the last visit in December no urge to return at this time unless they make changes.

Went there on valentines day when they had the prime rib and crab legs comobo, no way was there 12 ozs of crab legs on my plate not to mention the prime rib was thinner than ebeneezers prime rib sandwich, for the money I paid I did not expect to go home hungry, prime rib was mediocre,

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our experience at Sevens. I had the brazilian steak which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious, my wife had a pasta dish which she was very impressed with as well. I also tried their own sevens beer which was very good. The food was amazing, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only complaint I would have is the hotel /restaurant could use a remodel its interior isn't very nice.

If I could have given no stars that's what I would have done. Way overpriced and the portions were extremely small. I had mentioned my dish pleasure to the server and got an oh well and the manager never even spoke to us. My return for a happy hour or something like that but will not entertain the thought of eating off the dinner menu again.

Devon's Delight with salmon, a Cajun style fettuccine dish, is a superb meal at Sevens. Although the fish fillet is not as large or as fresh as a Louisiana catch, this selection nonetheless is nearly as good as you can get in New Orleans, and to my mind among the best meals to be had in Minot.

December 16, 2011 Friday - dinner 6:00 PM 10 adults and a small child Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 3 stars Background - This section will be much larger than normal for me. To start off this place will always hold a special place for me after the events of the night. It was my girlfriend's 40th birthday dinner. I live in Reno NV and she lives here in Minot. She had no clue I was going to be at dinner and somehow everyone at the table knew about me surprising her. It was if she saw a ghost when I appeared, this alone was wonderful. I had one more card to play, and that was after dinner. I proposed in front of her whole family, and no one knew that was coming. She almost knocked me down while hugging after asking the big question. Atmosphere - It needs an update the place is showing a little wear around the edges. This includes the soup and salad bar. Food Appetizer - Soup and Salad, they had at least 5 different peppers to choose from and I do like things spicy. I will not dock them for the sneeze guard with dressing on the bottom. Probably from my party put it there. I am tall and my arm it the bottom and thus my right sleeve had white dressing on it. They had two soups that night, clam chowder and tortilla soup. Large triangle chips are not the best but it did make for a nice scoop for the soup, which I had never tried with this kind of soup. Main Course - I normally do not order steak at restaurants as I can cook them just as well. But I went with it tonight. I ordered the Holly's Butter Fillet. When they mean butter they mean butter, the ball of butter on top of the steak was larger than a golf ball. I had to remove it. I used the excess for the baby baked potatoes that I ordered as my side. They cooked the steak to perfection, medium for me. The steak just melted in my mouth. I could have eaten another one for desert. Dessert - A few of the people at table did order dessert and it looked good, but my future wife and I skipped it that night. By this time I do think she was able to think straight. Service - Our waitress was great, sorry I did not catch her name. But two things I will dock them for. We were a large party and had plenty of warning so we made reservations. But they had none when the party arrived, so they had to scramble for a party of 10 (plus me as the surprise). I will put this one under service as this the dishwasher and the person the puts the cutlery on the table. My salad fork was flat, no arch in. I never realized how hard it is to eat with a flat fork. The salad fork to my right would have made a monster proud, the tines where facing all different directions. When you offer the soup and salad bar to almost everyone and for the dinner crowd they should put the spoon on the table; they did this with salad fork. The soup station had a container full of soup spoons, which is fine; I had to go back for some, I needed two spoons, one for my future wife. But the real problem was pulling out that first one it was gross, just plain dirty and easy to see the filth. All three spoons I had were different. Future - Probably just for the memories of me proposing there.

The food and service are above average. Better than we expected from a restaurant co-located with a hotel. The salad bar was surprisingly fresh. We will definitely be back, nice option close to base.
