It was good but not great. My french fries were very disappointing and while our dessert was good, we could defiantly tell it had been microwaved. The atmosphere was nice however the booths could use some updating. Biggest turn off-I think the place had way too many TVs! Overall the restaurant has a great rustic vibe that was ruined by all the TVs. If I wanted a sports bar I would have gone some where else.

Horrible place to go eat. Service is not great. The food was really horrible. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it looked like a piece that was just mixed and thrown in the dryer. But in North Dakota, you can't expect much for dinning out.

My husband and I have been here once before and it was so so. Today was great. Our waitress was fantastic, very friendly. I ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta, it was delicious... our waitress said "they changed the sauces, and she wasn't sure how they tasted now." I took a chance and was not disappointed! The extra cheese and real garlic is excellent. Highly recommend for those who are picky about their Alfredo. Did not receive 5 stars due to the chicken being very bland.

Service was good, and the two times I ate there I was happy with the meals. Food arrived quickly, and the portions were filling. The staff was friendly, and the bartenders were awesome.

I understand that certain sections are closed off for reasons but if you have 7 people ready to eat and spend money in your establishment, seat them! Telling them 15 min when more than 1/2 the restaurant is empty makes no sense to me. The service was slow, the meal lukewarm but flavorful. Our waitress, Hannah, started out slow but picked it up and did an excellent job being attentive and didn't miss a beat. I'd try it again.

I've been a Yelp lurker for years, but my experience at Badlands compelled me to write my first review. I was traveling for business, and had a hankering for a Bison burger. I did a little research, and their website said they served one. Much to my dismay the website hadn't been updated for a while. Now I would have just walked out, but I already ordered a beer. I ordered the southwest chicken pasta. It was pretty bland if that's possible. Service at the bar was fast, and good. They have a decent selection of beer.

Last time I ate here was 1 year ago. Everything has changed. The menu is great and lots of options. Had the steak tonight with shrimp and par it was fantastic. The broccoli was good and the apps were good too deep fried pickles and deep fried beans. Order and leave full!!

I travel 15 states for my job and eat at very nice establishments. I try to eat healthy as eating out can sneak up on the body ! The Badlands wood plank salmon may be the best I have ever had . I came back a second time to make sure and it was just as good. I would very much recommend this.

Best Ribs I have had in Minot so far. Prompt & courteous service. Impressive variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Ambience could be improved with a few touch ups on interior design.

Great place for a date. Classy but but not too expensive. Good food and atmosphere. Good portions.

Beautiful Restaurant, mediocre food. Soups taste canned or frozen. The salads are good, fresh. Mozzarella Sticks are great and made from scratch (be warned though, they use a LOT of oregano), the fried green beans are good as well. I don't mind paying for a good steak but for the cut and quality of their Ribeye's, they are overpriced. The baked potatoes are always under cooked. We've stopped going there altogether after several bad meals. Sad, Minot could really use a good steak house!!

Hit or miss. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes (1/3 of the times I have dined) it sucks. Love the atmosphere. Gorgeous fireplaces, but when you order a steak, it's either blue rare or a hockey puck, no middle ground. Lunch service seems better than dinner service, but I stopped eating there when the food disappointed me one time too many.

I'm new to the area and am trying out local restaurants. The food was okay and the service was horrendous. I was seated at a table and given a menu, but was ignored for just under 15 minutes--not even asked if I wanted a drink. If you want a simple meal go here, otherwise I can cook up a more robust menu at home. As for the service--this makes or breaks a restaurant for me. Service is the business and this is lacking in every way.

I had heard about how wonderful Badlands was from friend so I was excited to take my family there. It was a horrible start to our first dining experience here we were seated and servers walked passed us for 10 minutes before anyone even asked for our drink order. Another family sat in the booth next to us and was immediately served. The manager took our drink order and meal order and 10 minutes after that our waitress (heather) showed up and wasn't very friendly. My kids didn't get drink refills and when they did the empty glasses filled up the table. Our food was over cooked. I ordered the filet mignon medium and it was so overcooked and dry it was completely inedible. One of my sons ordered the chicken tenders, they were cooked so long they were so hard and didn't taste good, the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. The manager who took care of us was really kind and quite apologetic but after such a horrible dining experience, I cannot recommend Badlands to anyone nor would we ever return.

Food is good for what I order....mostly always order their ceaser salad & chicken tortilla soup. Usually wait 10-15 mins before greeted at the table & wait 10-15 min for our check. Restaurant is very nice. Drinks are hit or miss.

We eat at Badlands regularly and have had some bad food experiences. I usually get soup and salad, always good. Lately, I've been ordering other items from their menu and have been so disappointed. There is absolutely no consistency. I had a pasta Alfredo with a sauce that tasted like water and skim milk; awful with no flavor. I've ordered chicken tortellini that was microwaved which made it dry and rubbery. I ordered lime shrimp last night, the shrimp wasn't seasoned and the steamed green beans were raw and really stingy. I mentioned these problems to management and they said they had hired a new chef and would bring it to his attention. A trained chef I question! Won't be going back.

Good food, reasonable prices, quick and attentive service, and a great atmosphere! I really liked their buffalo burger.

Took forever to get our food. Food was only ok. Salads came AFTER the main course. The charges for the salads were removed but only after we asked for them to be. Manager did come to the table to apologize. We won't be coming back or recommending this place to any of our friends.

Solid lunch specials, even on the weekend. Nice decor and wait staff. Food is okay, nothing special.

Good lunch specials! We got fried green beans, pot roast, whitefish, and key lime cream pie all for only $20. The pot roast was nice and tender but a bit to salty for my taste. The whitefish was nice, fluffy and light. This was a cute restaurant and kid friendly. I'd recommend checking this place out. i loved the fact they had large fireplaces everywhere.

Have been a couple of times now. Average food. Seems to be a lot of frozen items on the menu. A freshly made burger would be a nice change on the menu. Nice drink selection. Nice looking decor and I've had good service there.
