I travel a hell of a lot, and Perkins is one of my stops on any town I can find one. I've found good, and I've found bad, bad food, bad service, etc. This Perkins was an awesome example of what they should all be. The waitress was attentive and friendly, with some very interesting use of the English language, lol. The meal I chose is my usual, and it was cooked well, and presented well, too. I don't know who the manager here is, but they should hold their head up high, this Perkins shines brighter than most!

I got an email from perkins about a special breakfast on the 4th of july for veterans, so I decided to check it out. Pancakes, eggs and sausage. It was quite good and just the right size for me. It's nice to see that someone celebrates the 4th like they do. The service was very good.

We decided to go to Perkins on Valentine's day, as it's not a "nice" meal place, where our toddler could cause a scene, but it's not quite greasy fast food drive through. A happy medium where we figured we would get a good meal and have a good time. As soon as we walked in, it took us five minutes before we were seated. After being seated, the waitress did not approach us for over 15 minutes to take any orders, say hello or anything. Literally, 15 minutes without any sort of contact. We placed our meal and drink orders at the same time, because we were sitting there for so long. I decided to time how long it would take to get our drinks, since we were neglected twice before we even ordered. Little did we know, eighteen minutes would pass by and...our food beat our drinks to the table! The manager on duty asked if there was anything she could get us, right before the food came out, we said, ''Yes, our drinks ple...'' and the food arrived. She did get our drinks after we received the meal. Our waitress then came back to the table within two minutes and brought the sour cream she forgot, then didn't check in again. At the end of the meal, she brought a small box, to cram a plate full of food and sauce/butter into. Needless to say, it was a mess. An absolute awful experience. The manager did not attempt to rectify at all. No comped meals, no comped drinks...you are friggin Perkins, at least offer a slice of pie or a cookie or something.

Go with what you know. 24 hour joints are always the best but eat whats easy. Belgium waffle with eggs and bacon. Stay easy. Go greesy and you might not feel so easy. Great service and the young lady that helped us smiled the whole time.

I enjoyed an exceptionally fine breakfast this morning. The coffee was fresh and rich tasting. The French Toast was hot and cooked perfectly. Perhaps the best part was the service provided to us by Rhiannon. She was attentive, had great eye contact, and proudly stated that Perkins had the best pancakes in town. Great experience and I look forward to returning for breakfast next time I'm in Fargo.

Seriously HORRIBLE!! went for breakfast and even though it wasn't busy,it took forever and a day for it to arrive. The biscuits and gravy - the biscuits were cold as in just taken from the frig and put on a plate and the gravy was this nasty, watery concoction. Beyond horrible!!!

A little pricy for the food quality, but the servers are great. They pay attention to you and make sure your beverage is refilled no matter how long you've been sitting there.

The only reason we went here was because we knew they were open 24 hours and it was closest to where we were coming from. We usually would go to the Perkin's in Moorhead, Minnesota since that's where we live but the event we had attended was held in Fargo, ND. It'd been awhile since I'd been here and was surprised at the new decor, it looked very nice however I can't say the same about our experience. My husband, myself and our 12 year old daughter arrived between 9:30-9:45 p.m. on Sunday evening June 8, 2014. When we arrived there was nobody waiting in the lobby area and the place had about 4 tables with customers. The night manager came by and said that she would be with us in a moment. While we stood there waiting we watched her and a couple of the servers chit chat while she put information in a computer. One of the servers saw us standing there waiting to be seated and told the manager that there was people waiting and she said "yeah I know" and continue to talk and visit with them before finally coming over and seating us. Let's say that was our first red flag. The manager was friendly however she wasn't our regular server but decided to take our orders anyway without writing anything down. She even made a comment that "you'll have to excuse me its been awhile since I've served." That was our 2nd red flag. For as long as I can remember I've always order the same thing and it always seems to get messed up somehow and this time was no exception. I ordered the patty melt, however I asked for it on wheat bread (not rye) and instead of sauteed onions I asked for double the amount of sauteed mushrooms and I was fine with paying extra for it. And this time I decided instead of a side salad to have french fries. The night manager brought our drinks and the appetizer and was good at refilling our drinks. Another server stop by to ask how things were going and at that point they were fine. Now my husband and daughter were fine with there food orders when they arrived however I did notice that my sandwich was made with rye bread instead of the wheat I'd asked for, and when I check to see how many mushrooms I had (which of course I'd ask to have doubled) I had four and one-half and six and one other. Not what I would call double the amount and it leads me to wonder if I hadn't asked for double would I have only received two on one-half and three on the other? Due to the late hour and not wanting to wait for another sandwich to be made I decided to put lots of ketchup on it and trudge through eating it because I was hungry. However 3 bites in and I just couldn't handle the taste of the Rye. My hope that I could fill up a little bit with my french fries was sadly misplaced as they were so hard it was like eating planks of wood. Needless to say I didn't eat my meal. When the waitress came by with the bill and noticed my plate of un-eaten food she asked why. After I explained she asked if I would like to have another 1 made to take it home. I'm thinking, "No, I came here to eat not to bring it home to eat." She clearly could see I was not satisfied yet she decided I was going to pay full price for it and even tho I clearly didn't get what I had ordered she put the bill on our table and left. Needless to say, when we left I made sure that my meal was deducted from our bill. I always leave a tip and my tips are generous (usually 20 percent of our total bill). They received what I considered equal to what we've received in service. For a bill of about $20.00 they only received $2.00 compared to the $6.00 I would have left had I been satisfied with the service and the food.

We were in town for a concert. The concert had ended. I was 6 months pregnant and starving. I've never been a huge fan of Perkins food (or their prices), but it was late at night and they were the first place we saw that was open. We went inside to find the place PACKED with fellow concert goers, and the lobby was full as well. A very nice couple moved so my husband and I could sit down on the bench. During the TWENTY MINUTES that we waited in the lobby NO ONE came out to talk to any of the customers waiting to be seated. We left and went to Denny's where it was just as packed, but we were seated quickly and given good customer service. Okay, I can understand them not being prepared for the concert to let out. They may not have known there was a concert. But at least have the decency to let the people waiting know what's going on! Don't ignore paying customers! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

After a long 13 hour drive, Perkins was one of the only open and familiar names in the sub-zero town of Bismarck, ND. If you've ever been to a Perkins then you know what to expect. Food a little better than Denny's and waitresses without beards. Our food was, dare I say, good. People ordered everything from a ham & turkey wrap to a veggie omlet and eggs & sausage. Our waitress seemed like she had a long shift and was ready to go home but kept it together and was cheery and attentive. Another, random, perk - free wifi.

I am not the biggest fan of this restaurant chain in general. When you are craving breakfast at 7:00 in the evening, this restaurant will do the trick. I was very surprised that the restaurant was a ghost town when we walked in around 6:30 PM. I thought that they would have a few more people than they did her for dinner. I realized at this point that I have never set foot inside a Perkins restaurant after 12:00PM in my life before as I have never eaten anything else besides breakfast at a Perkins. The dinner options are really nothing to write home about. I should have ordered pancakes as my wife did because the burger was just OK. I know their breakfast is solid because I have had it before Our server did a good job checking up on us and taking care of us and the place was well kept. The next time I am in the area and craving breakfast foods I would consider this place again.

This place has amazing strawberry shortcake/cheesecake pies when in season. This is also a late-night (24-7) hangout for the high school kids, so avoid if you don't appreciate the noise. Otherwise, diner food, pretty standardly greasy. Service is better if you treat your waitstaff with more respect than the kids that come through.

For 13 dollars I got a plate of grease. It was disgusting. The only reason I ate there was because it was next to the motel I had to stay at for work. The service was not that great either.

I like the chain, but this restaurant has got to have some of the worst food I have ever been served. Tomatoes had almost no color, food was cold, need new cooks!

Hardly any low calorie choices on the menu. Would not recommend it if you're trying to eat healthy.

I have only been here once so this may be an anomaly. I was in town for my cousin's wedding and had to fly out the next morning. We said that we have to go to the airport. No one was available to seat us and the food never came. Finally, we had to get it to go. They couldn't find the waitress for a few minutes but then she came over and said it will be out soon - it's only been 17 minutes (for ham and eggs that still hadn't been there). The food was alright but don't expect anything special, and make sure to schedule some vacation time.
