I haven't been to Green Mill in years and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, as the manager explained most everything was scratch made which you could definitely tell. The pizza was probably one of my top 10 pizza's. My fiance couldn't get over how good the butter was. (I thought it was a weird thing to rave about but whatever floats your boat!) I got a salad and I think that was probably one of the best salads I have had in Fargo. I am always very nervous ordering salads because I have had bad salads up here. But the salad i got was pure magic. I love it! Super fresh and seemed like good quality. However the service was slow, granted my fiance and i went at a very weird time, with a large group there as well.... which service like that would be expected. I think the server did a good job. I also occasionally get it catered to work which is a great treat!

This is another of the sort of "Americana" type places (Applebee's, Chili's, etc.) with burgers, stacked sandwiches, etc. This one also has some pasta selections and 4 different types of pizza on the menu and a pretty extensive selection of drinks. Interior is about what you'd expect with wood tones and so on inside. It's nothing especially exciting, but did look clean. This plainness extended to the food, which was lackluster at best. This may be the place that finally makes me swear off pretzels, as they came out entirely cold in the middle. This also made the cheese they sprinkled on the side into a goopy muck. The pasta was only slightly overdone and their peppercream sauce that went with it definitely needed more of the "cream" part of things. Shrimp was slightly underdone and the lobster way overdone, more like bubblegum than actual seafood. Nothing that came to anyone else at the table looked or was much better. I also had a Fargo beer. If you've ever homebrewed, there are some kits for starters that are out and they have a definite unpolished taste and feel to them at first. This is what the Fargo beer had. Maybe they'll improve over town but whatever I had - I think it was some sort of brown ale - definitely left a lot of room for improvement. On the plus side, they do have a Coke Freestyle machine. All in all, this is probably the best we've meal in a restaurant we've had since leaving Salt Lake, which is anticipated, but still sort of sad...

Oh Green Mill.. Where do I begin. Please, notice that the preceding was a statement and not even a rhetorical question. If I'm staying true to my honest writing style, I very seriously question some of the reviews of people here in Fargo raving that it is the most spectacular food under the face of the sun. My first experience, many months ago was passable, at best. My fiance stopped before coming home to get the take-away. I had a burger that was luke-warm and cold fries. She had pasta which was overly chewy. The fun didn't stop there. We both ended up with food poisoning. How do I know for sure? She's a nurse. She's got trauma/ER experience. She knows what food poisoning is. Still, I didn't complain. I endured the day and a half worth of perching on the throne with a bucket. Truly, quite the delightful experience. Now, on this cold December evening, we decided to order from them again - this time, delivery. I ordered something simple. A turkey avocado wrap with *NO RED ONIONS*. She ordered the Western Mill burger. About 45 minutes later, dinner arrived. Imagine my joy. I opened the carton containing my wrap with fries. The fries were oil-drenched, limp, and cold. Immediately the scent of onions wafted up. "Okay,", I thought. Maybe the onions are whole and I can just pull them out of the wrap. I looked around and didn't see any, so I thought I dodged the bullet. I bit into the wrap and straight into a pocket of small chopped red onions. I sighed and unwrapped my meal to find the entire thing covered in small red onions. Disgusted, I closed the box. One bite taken out of half a wrap and none of the cold fries eaten. It is not often that I leave a scathing review of anyplace, but this place will *never* see my business again. I have absolutely no confidence in their food or their staff. To the management at Green Mill: Bad press/word of mouth is the worst thing that can happen to any business. You might tell yourself, "Oh, but we don't hear any complaints from this-and-that." You're right. You might not, nor will you ever. You'll simply not have a customer base anymore. I hope that you consider this review as a means to improve yourselves.

I'm so thankful they deliver when I get stuck at work. I like that they provide some healthier options, so I can skip the pizza or burger. Their delivery drivers are always prompt and polite.

Great way to save money, I had a tooth that was bothering me, and after eating their burnt to a crisp wings, bacon, and fries, I no longer have to go to the dentist. Fell right out thanks Green Mill

You think of Applebees, Ground Round, Chile's, or Fridays type restaurants, but Green Mill is still my favorite in the bunch. Their bloody holds its own against the likes of Lucky 13, Blarney Stone, OB, and so forth. The Desert Fire Pasta is still my favorite if not top three dish in Fargo. Doolittles' Cajun Pasta or the Cajun Pasta at Spitfire just isn't the same for me. However, I admit they need to renovate. It's starting to get dated and grungy. I've heard stories that I refuse to let my taste buds believe.

Really enjoy eating at the Green Mill. Unique dishes and cozy atmosphere. Favorite is the Desert Fire Pasta. Parking is getting a bit more difficult with construction to the West...but the food is worth the hassle!

Love their pasta and soups. I recommend trying the tomato basil soup and desert fire pasta . Yet to find a better tasting tomato basil soup.

Delivery and restaurant excellent. I ate the pizza, coconut chicken, quesadea, 8 Oz steak and sides. All 5 stars. Note: this was not one meal :) ! But over a business trip. I'll eat there again tonight.

We arrived at 11:45 for lunch and were one of three or four groups in the whole restaurant. The order was taken quickly but even with such few customers, our food took nearly 45 minutes! I shouldn't have to take a 2 hour lunch break for Green Mill's sub-par food.

Stay away from Fargo's Green Mill. We love St Paul's and many other cities but this one is poorly managed. Tonight we decided to give them another shot with their delivery option, our last dine in experience was poor also. The delivery guy was very nice but we failed to receive our salad entree. Our daughters cheeseburger was burnt on both sides and it was not possible to eat. All food was cold... We called to report the missing salad and they were not willing to refund our credit card and instead would only give us a gift card or deliver us another salad in 45 min. The person on the phone didn't even apologize.

We had a bad experience but they turned it around in a good way which deserves five-stars. We only had to wait about 10 minutes to get a table. We ordered some drinks and I had a flavored lemonade which was delicious! The bad experience part came when it took us about 45 to an hour to get our food. They had made my husband's pizza wrong and had to remake it but the staff was so nice about it. The manager came over twice asking if he could get us an appetizer or a soup. They of course comp'd our meal and were apologetic every chance they could get. The food itself was fantastic once it finally arrived.

The food is always yummy and comes in large portions. I like that they change out their menu from time to time. Always have a hard time deciding what to eat because their menu is so large and everything looks good. Was there for lunch today and our server ( I think her name was Laura) was very friendly. She suggested trying one of their sodas because they have that pop machine that can make over 100 combinations. I don't drink soda so I didn't partake, but the rest of my party had fun making interesting combinations. They end up being crazy colors that look unnatural but apparently taste great. I had the Grilled Adobo Chicken Naan which was really tasty. It had a nice kick to it. Would recommend!

There were metal screws on top of our pizza! The child manager took $5 off. He didn't understand that we didn't want a free meal, we wanted pizza without screws on it. They didn't even look at the food when they set it down, or they would have seen it. The bartender was agitated even though it wasn't busy, and even though we were right next to the bar, she tried to carry our drinks in one trip and spilled them. The bread and croutons were stale, but finding metal in your food is disgusting. We'll never go back.

Food was okay but took forever, over an hour. Also the pizzas we requested were not the type of crust if topping that we requested, lacked sauce, and were burned. Additionally, they forgot to give us salsa we requested.

First time at this green mill location and we ordered delivery around 6:45pm. Arrived in about 45 minutes. We got the spinach tortellini and lobster Mac n cheese, both with side salads. The food was packaged great, with the salads separate so they didn't get wilted among the hot foods. Greens were fresh. The lobster Mac was actually amaaaazing, not too rich and they definitely didn't skimp on the lobster (which always makes me skeptical on ordering this dish from most places). The tortellini was delicious business as usual, as it's something I've gotten from there for years now. Only thing was there were no silverware or napkins included. But minor issues. Overall great experience!

Everything I have had here is always good. It isn't amazing food but it is decent and tastes fresh. You won't find anything out of the blue or extraordinary but the basics they do well. Not a place for gourmet food but good enough. Always good service.

My food was good and so was Hub's food. The strawberry lemonade was delicious, and staff was friendly. My major complaint about them is their kid's menu. Like most places they have a make your own meal kid's menu for $5.49, cool right? Yeah, not so much when you see the first 4 items on the menu have an * next to them that denotes that sides are NOT included with those menu items. That means your kid orders the mac-n-cheese and they do not get a side of fruit or veggies included. We ordered a side of fruit off the regular menu so she could still have a somewhat balanced meal. So my daughter's kid's meal ended up being close to $9.00 as the side of fruit we ordered was $2.99. Granted it was pretty much an entire box of mac-n-cheese and a decent size order of fruit but really not the point. Most places include fruit, fries or a veggie with a kid's meal. Thumbs down on the kid's menu.

What's not to love about the Green Mill? Okay, so I'm not from Fargo, but the boyfriend is, and whenever we go to Fargo (about twice a year), we make it a point to take his brother and sister-in-law out to the Green Mill when we all have time. My recommendation is to go for traditional bar and grill fare - drinks and appetizers. :) Since my introduction to the Green Mill, I've been lucky enough to experience the Diablo Wings and the Spinach dip - two thumbs WAY up for those. Plan your evening, though, because the kitchen does close earlier than the bar, and when it's 11:30pm and you're hungry, there's not a whole lot you can do about it. :) Still, I recommend this place to anyone who's in the happy hour mood - or for a quick bite to eat. :)

We are just visiting Fargo for a few days and stopped at the Green Mill for dinner since it seemed like a local place and was crowded. We had 2 entrees from their summer menu ( southwestern burger and naan chicken). Both were tasty but the fries were lukewarm . They were quickly replaced by a huge mound of fresh ones and an apology from the waitress and manager! That is service:)

Was so happy to see a delivery option other than Chinese or pizza! Ordered the lobster mac & cheese and it was very disappointing. Delivery took a while but the driver was very friendly. When I opened the mac & cheese it STUNK like it was days old, and the lobster tasted terrible. The salad and bread were good, and so was the little bit of pasta I tried, so I might try again if I feel brave, but no seafood!

What the heck happened to this place?!?! I used to live in the area and had been there a few times back then - tasty and I always left satisfied. However...I went to Fargo this weekend and met up with some friends (five of us in total) there and NONE of us left satisfied. It was busy, but not crazy. We were quoted a 10 minute wait, which ended up being 20. Not a huge deal. We sat down and ordered...food came....no silverware. We waited several minutes for the server to come back, asked her for it, a couple more minutes went by, still no silverware and a manager stopped by to see how everything was. We said we were waiting for silverware and he grabbed some forks and knives, but failed to note that two us were eating soup. He came back immediately with spoons for us "soupers." I will say that my sandwich was tasty - Italian Ciabatta. However, my tomato soup was a little sour. Not terrible, but nothing I'd order again. The two who ordered fries received their fries lukewarm, at best. I munched on a some of my fiance's fries, and once I got to the third one it was actually hard. I gave up on the fries at that point. I'm a little sad to say I will not be returning, considering it used to be consistently good. Considering I'm not in the area often, I'll stick with other places that haven't let me down...at least not yet!

I like the Green Mill. I think the thing that keeps me going back is the Bloody Mary and the Jamaican Jerk Boneless Wings. They also make a bad deep dish pizza. The other pizzas there are good, but the deep dish is freaken awesome! I wish the beer selection was better (that's my -1 star).

As much as i enjoy the Green Mill pizza menu, the buffet was just plain bad! Just had the Mother's Day buffet that we had heard was so fabulous and I was extremely disappointed. Pizza was not good, cream sauce on the asparagus and chicken, UGH! So much for healthy options. Not much for fruit choices either. I will never go again!

I stopped into Green Mill for dinner a couple times this week while on the road for work. I had a salad one night and a wrap the other. The food was tasty and the portion size was generous. The wrap came with waffle fries which were ok but not great. The salad was both healthy and filling. The service in the restaurant was good but the service in the bar left a little to be desired. I overheard the waitress telling a coworker she was not busy but she still didn't seem to have time to check in more than once. All in all the experience was good and the food was tasty. I am sure I will return when I am in town on business again.
